JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong Tops Oricon Weekly Album Chart With 1st Japanese Solo Studio Album

JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong has taken the No. 1 spot on the Oricon weekly album chart!
On April 16, Japanese music chart Oricon announced that Kim Jaejoong’s first Japanese solo studio album “Flawless Love” topped the weekly album chart for the week that begins on April 8 and ends on April 14. “Flawless Love” was released on April 10.
Kim Jaejoong personally shared the news on his Instagram, saying, “My first No. 1 with my first Japanese solo album.. I’ll work harder. I thank everyone for cheering me on~ I will do my best to return the support I received from so many of you! I’ll work hard on my music with a modest mindset-!”
Meanwhile, “Flawless Love” also topped iTunes J-pop albums charts in at least 29 countries around the world.
Congratulations to Kim Jaejoong!

-Day 1 Tokyo- Fans project was a success! When everyone said "Jaejoong Congratulations on 1st place!" He was surprised & asked "When did you practice this?" "Is there a cake coming?" Thinking that it was hidden  cr.Shachong So cute!

 

 

Jaejoong: I was very scared when I was going to go solo & try rock for the first time. Wondering if JJ can do rock. Now even if I'm in 1st place I'm not afraid to go to the next step cuz everyone is there. Cr.Rinmaze

Jaejoong: I thought 1st place was impossible but 2nd one could be taken. An actor friend from Korea came to visit & we went out to drink. When we were drinking, my manager called & said that I got 1st place on weekly ranking! I drank too much! Cr.Rinmaze

The first song Jaejoong recorded when he came to Japan was DADADANCIN, and 2nd one it was IMPOSSIBLE. Those are good songs so he decided to put them in an album instead of the Singles! Cr.Rinmaze 


Jaejoong: I took first place in iTunes of many countries. The genre is not rock, nor R & B, it was ranked 1st in J-POP! Cr.Rinmaze  

Jaejoong: I forgot to change my clothes before going to the third track today. If I go to the concert of HYDE for Christmas, I will not change at all. I do not need to change clothes because my face is good Cr.Rinmaze

Jaejoong released Japan's first solo album "Flawless Love" on April 10. He made his solo debut in Japan last June, and the album contains a large selection of new songs in addition to the two singles he has released so far, so he is very pleased with this work.　
“As I decided to hold the Arena Concert Tour from April 10, I think it is good to release the album at the same time, I started working from the end of last year. A lot of good songs were provided and I chose the ones that I thought the best. I think it became a good album which is rich in variety. There were many requests from fans, so I also recorded the Japanese version of Korean songs I made in the past.”

The hardest song when I recorded was "Beautiful Woman". The key was so high that I was wondering how to lower it many times along the way, but eventually I sang with the original song key. Lol.”
The meaning of the album title is perfect love. There is his obsession with the title.
"Every song has a story about love. An exciting feeling when love begins, the sadness and loneliness felt at the time of broken up. The songs contain various love lyrics, the emotions will polish and the love will grow, like the gemstones of diamonds are polished and become beautiful. During the recording of the album, I happened to watch a movie named "Flawless (Japanese title: Diamond Rush"). The story has nothing to do with love, but as it relates to diamonds, I was inspired love might be the same as diamonds.

"It depends on the time, but basically I post when I want to post. Lol. Sometimes I will post a single photo when it seems that there is no news for the fans to tweet. Taking that picture as a trigger, my fans tweet in various ways and try to interact with each other. That's wonder and interesting.”

"Last year was like a dream year. At first I came to Japan with anxiety about whether I could work well. So I was really happy to be able to work active. As it is thanks to the support of my fans, I would like to do what I can respond more to the support this year. And now I am 33 years old, I will be more careful about my health. Kim Jae-joong, a member of boy band JYJ, released his first Japanese full-length album, “Flawless Love,” on Wednesday. 

Since his Japanese debut 14 years ago, Jae-joong has released a number of digital singles, but the release is his first full-length Japanese solo album in Japan. 

The album, with two CDs, carries a total of 15 tracks, including seven new songs and four of his previously released Japanese singles, as well as some of his old Korean songs that were newly recorded with lyrics in Japanese, according to his management agency, C-JeS Entertainment. 

The singer is set to launch a Japanese arena tour, starting in the city of Nagoya. Including Nagoya, he will hold 12 concerts in six cities, including the capital, in April and May. 

“The latest album and the live tour will help keep up Kim Jae-joong’s wild popularity [in Japan],” his agency said.
