Well if J-Min is in Japan, her activities would be promoted by Avex right? I don't know their voices do sound similar, maybe they are the same person...

I'm an SM Entertainment junkie, how come I've never heard of her?

She's good though.

SHe does sound like Boa, but somehow even though I'm not a huge fanof Boa's vocals I kinda like how her voice sounds.

well, i just listened to her single from z-degrees..

and i guess i was expecting too much...

maybe because i havent listened to anything else from her

from her new single doesnt really display her vocals well

sure its pretty catchy music...i think suitable for a club?

but...yea...i wish it would show off her vocals more

SM Town Japan's new rising star. Born on May 27, 1988, J-Min is co-signed with Avex Trax Japan and has already released a Japanese single in September. "손뼉을 쳐" is her Korean debut single.

Although J-Min's music is still relatively "pop", it's surprising to hear such an urban sound coming from SM Town. If I hadn't known better, I would of thought she was from YG or JYP.

sm makes a huge deal of it like the trax, dbsk, super junior an d girls generation.

the trax are famous cuz boa

Considering that SM is like a marketing machine, they would really promote her and get her name out there. I haven't heard of her until I came to this thread. Are you sure you're not getting your information mixed up? Avex Trax has artists like Boa and other SM stars, maybe that's why you're associating her with the company? SM pride themselves on having some of the best artists in the Asian market, also considering she speaks English, Japanese and Korean would be a huge bonus for them. Anyway, she reminds me so much of Michelle Branch. I like the song though.

Her voice is really strong. She also has that natural look that I like.
