    PREVIEW EP 38

    Translation:
Ah Sun asked for the chance to protect her. It's not because she's incapable of doing it herself. He understands that the girl he loves is a strong and independent woman with her own ideas, thoughts and goals and he respects that. He used one up of the 3 wishes to ask Chang Ge to be more womanly, and let him protect her. Then an arrow was shot at Ah Sun. heartache watching him fall. Who wanted to kill Ah Sun?

I think later following this scene, Chang Ge looked after him until he recovers and wakes up.. saw anr video on this some where.

    enjoy the show everyone!!!!

Oh my, very dangerous, probably the assasin hide there for a long time, that’s why Sun cannot feel his presence, usually he’s very keen to his surrounding

Been a while since I've been on soompi and I believe the last time was also for a Zhao Liying drama (Minglan) LOL

Am now 34 episodes in and totally addicted! in fact I've been getting more and more addicted with every episode, can't believe I started out believing I would drop this drama by ep 10 (lots of filler as many of you above have mentioned, but the later eps actually get better and better though imo). Can't wait for the rest of the eps to finish airing to get me off this roller coaster but also don't want it to end hehe

Loving the other (good) characters' screentime more and more even though the Zhou Fei and Xie Yun scenes are obviously pretty awesome too! Also, the music for this show is really nice, fingers crossed it will be on Spotify soon so I can loop the tracks

Where did you watch until ep 34?

  3. Just finished watching, and it’s very nice drama. The scene that surprising me when YS told GS to pick up the steel pipe and then she suddenly run off while cheered him, and watching GS’s expression, LOL i can’t stop laughing. I don’t know whether she was just that selfish and didn’t care GS even a little bit, or she knew GS will be fine, because his bother will protect him. LOL

Well i prefer the latter, since i think she’s quite inteligent reading the situation that JGW’s only target was her, and she pretty sure GW would not hurt his own family member

  4. I don’t like how DM had to plead to DS so he can work for her company, i know DS was hurt because of what she said, but if he really knows her personality, he should understand she did that for their own good since there’s nothing they can do at that time.
I’m thinking prob DS rejected DM offer because he thought DM and JP dating and he thought DM was being insensitive well if that’s the case i can accept.

I also don’t like how the other two guys said to DM about them being different or well known compare to 3 years ago, i mean they worked together before with DM even just for few months, and when they went abroad, DM was left behind. One of the guy even said DM worked with her enemy (sister), they prob thought DM was desperate. So how can they said that to DM, they are heartless.

I’m also confuse how IJ didn’t know her grandmother had bad eyesight, i mean she worked with DM for 3 years. I understand if DM didn’t tell her. But she never at once visited her grandmother i’m speechless.

  5. I don’t like amnesia, but probably it served as a purpose to give HS a restart for his relationship with JW, not as a pretender which he claimed himself to be. And probably the feeling of losing JW when he thought JW died it’s quite traumatic for him, added by his wound on the head all caused him amnesia.

Anyway KMJ is very funny, how he tricked  HS that JW was coming, told hae soo that JW behaving as a saint and commenting on how HS want to make JW’s happy by catching serial killer as a gift LOL

LJG is shipping himself with Moon Chaewoon B) I don't think it is flashback due to their hairstyle and I don't want them to waste time showing flashbacks instead of tying up loose ends and giving us good ending. They should have shown wedding flashbacks on the earlier episodes. But if those wedding photos are of current time then I can understand they didn't want to show two weddings. When they got married first time Jiwon was pregnant with Eunha. Is it too much to hope that she is pregnant with their second child now? Egg Tart needs someone to play with so that her parents can spend some quality time after all her father has just started showing emotions

Can they postpone the final episode? I am not yet ready to let them go.

I didn’t know JW got married after she got pregnant with EH, could i have missed the dialogue regarding that :o

This is what I understand of their timeline from what we were given. Also, DHS, as in his own actual age, is a year younger than CJW. I gave all of his ages as him living as BHS besides the first one.

Summer/Fall 2005 - DHS starts living as BHS

    DHS: 21-ish

    Summer 2006 - First meeting

    CJW: 23

    DHS (as BHS): 24

Winter 2006 - DHS stands outside of the store after a blackout

    Summer 2007 - CJW's first confession

    CJW: 24

    DHS (as BHS): 25

    Spring 2008 - first kiss/start of relationship

    CJW: 25

    DHS (as BHS): 26

    Spring 2008 - CJW becomes a cop

DHS also goes from the blonde haired DHS earlier in the spring season to the black haired DHS went CJW tells him she fulfilled her dream.

    2015 - CJW/DHS move into the house/already married

    CJW: 32-ish

    DHS (as BHS): 34-ish

Spring 2020 - DHS (as BHS) birthday

    CJW: 38

    DHS (as BHS): 39

    Summerish 2020 - Eun Ha's 5th birthday

My assumption is that the 14 years is due in how long they've known each other, which is a long time looking at the timeline. So I guess they dated for a very long time before getting married. I saw a theory saying that maybe they got pregnant with Eun Ha and then decided to get married but I don't know about that one. I guess it kind of does make sense if maybe DHS was hesitant about getting married, because he was living under a fake identity.

7 years did pass between them first dating to them buying the house and already getting married so I guess there's no way to know when they actually got married unless the show ever explicitly states it or shows something that would signify how long it's been.

They should open up the last episode with a flashback to their wedding haha.

EDIT: Just saw Lee Joon Gi's instagram post lol

Lee Joon Gi, playing with everyone's hearts right now.

I think I might want them to end on a wedding lol, this time having an actual wedding with DHS actually being able to be himself rather than pretending to be someone else. That way it's like the start of a new chapter in their lives.

Below are the pictures from an article.

Their wedding pictures are gorgeous

I love Seven Tan.  She is my favorite actress.  Loved her in The Fox’s Summer, Under The Power and The Eight and of course, this drama.  I also like Song Wei Long and Steven Zhang ( loved him in Skate into Love).  Very surprised to learn that SWL is only 21 years old.  His acting has improved tremendously since Untouchable Lovers.  I think he did a great job here and is very believable.

Yeah her acting is quite captivating,  i like her after i watched under the power. Initially i watched go ahead because of her. I watched SZ in skate into love, he’s good. This is my first time watching SWL, i think he’s quite good although there are several scenes which i think his acting little bit lacking, but he’a still young so it’s quite understandable and the most important thing is i like his portrayal as LX :D

I agree here that the male lead is rather new to acting ie I am not too impressed with his subtle facial impressions. Allen Ren is way better as a newbie actor with micro expressions. SF is okay with acting out painful expressions. I think with a few more projects his acting skills will improve.

I hope he’s getting better towards the latter episodes, i’m still on the earlier eps since i’m waiting for the sub

  9. I’m really sad it’s over, i love the final, though i think CT’s story was too rushed.

Anyway Go Ahead is really wonderful drama, and the acting of all leads and the supporting actresses and actors are great.

Thank you to all the ladies here, i really enjoy reading your comments and insights.

I'm still not happy that Ling Papa never tell LX that he is not at fault when LX told him about dreaming of his sister n repayment to his mom. The script writer should not just leave it as that. If they have strengthen that part and added another dialogue when CT was at hospital... apologise personally to LX for blaming him n reassure him that it is not his fault as well as for abandoning him n mistreating him ... that would be perfect. That was the weak link that might have made the drame perfect.

I agree, Ling dad should be surprised LX blamed himself for his sister’s death, that scene is really heartbroken to watch

Sigh... I am really tired of LX’s mum scenes. Too long drawn... they spend too much time making people really disliked this character....with 4 episodes left.

The way the netizens complained, sounded like death for her is the only acceptable closure.

My fear is that with 4 episodes left, they will rush through and not give LX and his mum’s relationship a proper closure...this may taint the enjoyment of the whole drama

Agree, LX’s mom made my blood boiled, not good for health, fortunately there was cute scene of HM and Li dad.
