  1. Great! Uhm Jung Hwa has a new drama and I definitely will watch. Anyway I have just finished 2 episodes of Doctor Cha and I love it! I put this new drama into my FAVE drama folder.

Uhm Jung Hwa is a veteran actress and a sexy singer. Yup she is older now and mature, that's why she chose this character as the Dr Cha is 46 yrs. Her real age is 54 yrs this year.

I just read a comment in here saying that she looks older than her mum in the drama. Wow that's harsh. I don't think Uhm Jung Hwa looks that old.

    Jung Hwa Uhm

    Mi Kyung Kim

From the comments, I think the person does not know Uhm Jung Hwa. Should check out her other dramas and music videos before saying such a comment like that. I'm a fan of Uhm Jung Hwa since her drama "Get Karl! Oh Soo Jung" in 2007.

I have not been posting comments in Soompi for years now even before the pandemic started. Recently I started to come in Soompi just for Extraordinary Attorney Woo and Alchemy of Souls.

Wow I just finished Episode 10 and my goodness, I was grinning like a crazy person when watching the kissing scene between our Young Woo and Jun Ho, so sweet that I had to sign in here to comment. Used to have a dongseng who captured animated kissing scenes in Soompi but since I have not come in here for years, I'm not sure if he still around in Soompi.

I applaud WJ for doing the right thing, to come clear about who he is.

The usual crazy MIL, in this drama.. we have Mr Bae Yong Suk. He created a fake personality/ background for WJ, now WJ said full stop on this. I really hope the lawyer is really WJ's father no matter of what the back story on this.

For GY, we havent seen her respond to her employer. Usually for me, our ITD will remote the PC in front of us if any changes needed. Of course, there's a few sensitive documents stored in that PC. So, her employer employs her just for the bad reason. That's y u shouldnt use ur own laptop/PC for work. Use company's laptop please. Even for handphone. Separate, work and personal.

Last week, the 2nd episode of the week is very fast available online but today.. I've been abusing the refresh button.

Okay..  I'm anxiously waiting for next week episode. From the preview, we might be missing GY WJ scene together again.

P/s : Why nobody notice GY WJ kissing on the beach? No camera running? Wow...

hahahahaha me too keep on waiting for someone to notice the passionate kiss between GY and WJ but nobody looked at them at all......

Sooyoung recently did an interview related to the drama. ^^ (I put the full interview under the spoiler tag since it's a bit long.)

[INTERVIEW] Choi Sooyoung Bares Thoughts About Missing Fans, Choi Tae Joon & Her Role In “So I Married The Anti-Fan”

In an exclusive interview with iQiyi, Sooyoung candidly and insightfully relayed thoughts about her latest drama, So I Married The Anti-Fan. Find out also who she wanted to spend 24 hours with and who she misses the most!

      Hide contents

On Playing The Role of Geun-young

Describing Geun-young as the most ordinary character she has ever played, she detailed that she has an average appearance and doesn’t have much presence or any special talents. Her thoughtfulness hidden within her humor is what makes her shine.

“Because of this, I understand what her strengths are. Actually, I’m also used to using humor to defuse any discomfort and awkwardness that may arise when I show care or kindness to others,” she said.

In preparing for the role, Sooyoung confessed that she’s not familiar with the idol fans’ culture. She has never crazily fangirled over any celebrities, nor has she ever imagined that she would become an anti-fan.

Playing the role of Geun-young who was forced to make a choice to resolve her pressing concern, she explained how she cleared the misunderstanding and fell in love in the process.

“My focus was on a natural delivery of emotions, and I also put a lot of effort into considering how to carry out the comedic elements.”

Picking Her Favorite Scene in the Series

Revealing the scene that left a deep impression on her, Sooyoung shared it to be the “angry heel” scene in the first episode. Aside from taking two days to film the nightclub scene, it was also the drama moment that triggers the conflicts and misunderstandings between her and Hoo-joon.

“The scene was very challenging in various aspects, but come to think of it now, it was very fun.”

Featured as a reporter who became a top star anti-fan, Sooyoung honestly hoped there were more scenes of her working as a Wonder Woman magazine reporter.

She said, “I learned a lot from freelance reporters whom I have a good relationship with and from people I’m close to in our company. I’ve also heard of many stories of people just like Geun-young, who suffer miserably from trying to manage their relationships with their superiors at work.”

On Working On A Drama Set In The World, She Is Familiar With

Having K-Pop industry as the background of the series, Sooyoung responded how working with actors of the same age in a romantic comedy material is the reason why she ventured into the drama. She added, “Many people around the world love the original work of this drama. I also really like the director’s previous works, so I thought this was a very good opportunity.”

Relaying her happy and comfortable time while filming, she disclosed how a lot of her suggestions were considered during the filming process.

“Because this is a romantic comedy, the coordination of the actors’ lines and the delivery of emotions in our lines are very important. Many interesting things happened as we improved our chemistry. We had a lot of fun discussing and deciding on things together. Therefore, the atmosphere on set was very cheerful. I also really enjoyed myself.”

When asked if nostalgic moments of her youth days when she first debuted hit her while filming, she expressed resonating with Geun-young a lot. That is after she suffered from the manipulative editing, reaching a realization that her words and actions affect a lot of things after being broadcast on TV:

“This all reminded me of myself when I first debuted. At the beginning, I also didn’t understand much. Some of my words and actions led to misunderstandings, and I also felt hurt because of that. Not to mention that Geun-young is not even an artist, so I can absolutely imagine how scared and hurt she would be at that moment.”

On Missing Her Supporters + Her Thoughts About Anti-Fan

Genuinely missing her supporters, Sooyoung reckoned some of the best moments she shared with them. “The way our fans lit up the arenas with our light sticks during our tour concerts and the warm encouragement and looks my fans gave me at Beaming Effect’s charity bazaar left a deep impression on me. Lately, I really miss the opportunities of interacting with our fans, like during our stage performances.”

Shedding light to the disheartening side about words from anti-fans, the singer-actress asserts her stand on being responsible on the words we leave online.

“Recently, Korea has suspended the comment feature on web portals, so their influence may not be as obvious compared to before. However, you’re still able to see hateful comments on social media platforms. I think they also know that it’s wrong to hide behind the Internet and vent their anger at other people. I think everyone should stop making accusations that don’t aim to point out the actual problems.”

When asked to share her personal experience in dealing with anti-fans, she admits replying to a netizen’s comment on her social media account. Her goal was to clear a misunderstanding so she provided an explanation. Honestly confiding how she used to think that people are just attacking her for no reason and that her explanation won’t matter since anti-fans do not listen, she has since changed that outlook.

“Later on, I realized that misunderstandings should be cleared up. That’s why I decided to train myself to form a good habit of clarifying misunderstandings through communication.”

On Working With Choi Tae Joon

Choi Sooyoung is in the same college graduating class with her male lead Choi Tae Joon. Replying to her thoughts about their collaboration, she has only genuine answers.

“Before filming started, I was a bit worried whether Tae-joon and I would be able to film the romance scenes. He is like a little brother who is very close to me. We’ve been seeing each other often ever since college. He is a very funny person, so I can’t help but laugh every time I see his face. But he actually fits Hoo-joon’s character very well, so I was able to get into character very well.”

Expounding more on how they film the bickering scenes, Sooyoung mentioned how joking with each other is natural between them. Thus, shooting the quarreling scenes was very easy. She also thanks Tae-joon for being a jokester, so teasing is a piece of cake for them.

Going candid before the end of the interview, Sooyoung answered the question: If you had to spend 24 hours with one person, who would you pick?

"I would choose the members of Girls’ Generation. I would probably eat, chat, and play with them all day."

Lastly, she cites the reason why So I Married the Anti-Fan is not to be missed. “Both romance and K-pop elements are incorporated into this drama, so of course, you shouldn’t miss out on this show,” she concluded.

Annyeong, it's been a long time since the last time I come in Soompi that I have forgotten how to use the post. Ayame chingu, thanks for sharing the interview article. I'm so happy and touched to read that Sooyoung chose Girls' Generation. I love Girls' Generation and miss them so much.

I saw some clips from Scarlet Heart and yeah, she improved. Her acting is way better now and in Persona compared to Scarlet Heart.

Annyeong. Yup I agree that IU’s acting has improved in Hotel Del Luna. In fact i have doubts to watch the drama due to IU but in the end I still watch because I love Yeo Jin Goo. I’m glad I decided to watch because I like IU’s acting in this drama.

OMG Lee Jong Suk is melting my heart whenever I see him as Eunwoo showing his jealousy and adoration at Dani. Recently I have been missing in action from Soompi but now I'm back because of Romance is a Bonus Book/Romance is a Supplement, Touch Your Heart and The Light In Your Eyes.

Yeokssi Lee Jong Suk's acting never disappoint me. I like this drama lots due to him. It's my first time watching Lee Na Young in a drama. The only time I watched her acting before was in a movie with Cha Tae Hyun. The movie's title "Please Teach Me English". Have to admit Lee Na Young is a great actress.

Thanks dear @jeonghyang dongseng for the animated gifs.

I did not managed to watch live yesterday as the line was very bad like most of you said. I just read all the posts and watched all the video cuts.

Tonight is the finale.....a wedding is happening. Wondering whether the ending will show happily ever after for YJ and MS with kids. I would like to see happy ending for the other 2 couples as well.....

Hi @Ahpheng chingu, I love your comic strips. Once I see it, I'm so glad you are here too.

Hello @bebebisous33 chingu, yeah you have joined this thread that means I'm going to enjoy reading your comments. I love to read all comments posted by everyone but I'm a bit lazy to post because whatever I'm thinking or planning to share, are all shared by you all.

Hi @rubie just want to say thank you for all the clips you shared here. :)

Ooohhh I like Mr Sunshine mostly because of Lee Byung Hun's mesmerizing charismatic acting. Although I like Mr Sunshine so far, but there's one thing I noticed...the pace is so slow. It reminded me of Taiwan dramas long ago...that one moment can drag o n for few minutes before the next action starts.

I do agree with some of our chingus here, the cinematography is ddaebak! The view is so lovely that I can't help but admire.

By the time the long lost fiance turned up with the bouquet, Ae Shin has already fallen for Eugene. Curious to see how the plot going to unfold..............

  11. Annyeong @kaoriharang chingu, thanks for tagging me to the hot video. Before this I was thinking Park Seo Joon most controversy kiss was with Uhm Jung Hwa in A Witch's Love. And in Fight For My Way, he had lots of kisses too with Kim Ji Won, so I was thinking his kisses with Park Min Young somehow were tame. But with the kiss from the wall to the bed in Ep13, that was hot. The kisses looked so real. Kudos to both Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young to make the scene so real.

Hi @vangsweetie637 chingu!!! You are a fan here too. How are you dear?

OMG episode 10 had me laughing so much. I think I like ep10 the best so far except that in the end Miso fainted in shock. But of course, I like the kissing scenes the best too :P Many thanks to @jeonghyang dongseng for all the animated gifs. I clicked like a mad woman to save all the kissing gifs.

@saved2K @darr I'm enjoying Chansung's acting in this drama too. He's good. His acting is getting better now. Out of 2PM members, the best actor i like is Junho. But Taecyeon is my 2PM bias :D

@ohoheli dongseng are you joining the fun too to watch this great drama with us?

Wow I found a new fave drama currently and that's "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim". Just finished Ep5 at work :D. No urgent work so can relax. Love the chemistry between PSJ and PMY. Yeoksi PSJ is indeed one of my fave Korean actors, he always delivers in any drama he's in. PMY is great too. Like her since SKKS.

This episode gives me tingle feelings as I watched OTP staring contest moments . Looking forward to their 1st kiss. Annyeong to my chingus @ck1Oz @ohoheli @nonski @moodypie

Whew I marathon Ep1-3 with subs and then Ep4 raw. Park Seo Joon always deliver. No wonder he's one of my fave actors. Park Min Young is very pretty here and so petite along side Park Seo Joon. I noticed that certain angles, PMY looks older now. Anyway I enjoy her acting as well.

    I see my chingus are here too @bebebisous33 @nonski @ck1Oz @UnniSarah

No roll call today @nonski chingu?
