Annyeong! Found a gem on the web today: Bodashiri tumblr translated Q&A questions with one of Goblin filming staff. It's a great piece, with the crew member talking about the filming atmosphere and some about the actors on set. Below is a snippet of  Bodashiri's translated post.

Goblin film crew Q&A (from Bodashiri tumblr)

One Goblin staff answered questions on his community site yesterday. So, I translated them. [source 1] [source 2]

I was happy to join some big projects like The Descendents of the Sun (태양의 후예 2016 KBS), Signal (시그널 2016 tvN), and Goblin (도깨비 2016 tvN). Happy new year, everyone. If you want to ask a question, feel free to post here. I’ll try my best to answer anything I know.

    Q. Is Eun-Tak’s father a god?
    A. There is no mention about him in the script.

Q, What is your job? How did you guys come up with the bridge near the Yongdap station? (* the bridge where the Grim reaper met Sunny)
    A. I was one of the lighting staff. The location scouting team is in charge of the filming locations.

    Q. Why did reincarnated Wang Yeo and Kim Sun forget their previous life?
    A. Neither the couple nor Ji Eung-Tak drank the tea of oblivion, but only Eun-Tak could retain her memory. I just guess the writer has some intention in doing so.

    Q. What year did Eun-Tak get reincarnated?
    A. It took about 100 years, according to the script.

Can somebody explain this part? In ep 16, 30 years after Eun tak's death, Sunny and Yeo went to heaven together and in indefinite time setting they were both reincarnated again and so was Eun tak. So another time skip happened again (100yrs.)? They should've indicated it coz I thought Eun tak was reincanated 30 yrs later  :expressionless: (and Sunny and Yeo reincarnated lightning fast). I thought Shin only suffered for another 30 years but it was actually 130 years of waiting. :bawling:

Kim Eun sook loves time skips, doesn't she?

  2. HI I just wanna ask some questions about the last 2 eps. I want to back read but 20,000 posts is too much . So here it is:

    1. Eun tak's short hairstyle is changing in some scenes. Didn't they shot the Canada scenes first? But why her short hair which was shown in past eps during her visit in the resto was different in the actual scene in ep 15? Did the production returned there?

    2. Yeo and Sunny was reincarnated but didn't they just died? Were they reincarnated in a zap? Also why they don't have memories of their past if they didn't drink the tea?

    3. Yeo and Sunny's reincarnation  went to the hotel. Was their reason the real reason or was it something else?

I applaud the writer and crew for hiding the ending in the first episode. It was genius. Anyways, I hope you can answer my question (don't worry I'm not the almighty LOL) coz my heart is still hurting about the ending.:bawling:

  3. Hi! Just stopped by to ask this questions bugging me for awhile:

    1. In an episode (7 or 8?) where Reaper was held in the police station for not paying drinks, Shin gave his business card. Later, Deok hwa with tofu, explains to Reaper that Shin is the owner of all the businesses of the Yu family. In ep 9, the doctor asked Eun tak, what's his relation to Chairman Yu (w/c I think he referred to Shin), but  isn't it Deok hwa's grandpa called Chairman Yu? Also, Deok hwa is being prepared to be the heir (funny, how the manager  deflated his ego) so how does the line of inheritance runs?
    2. Eun tak, in the early phase of the drama is 19y/o. She mentioned once that she's gonna turn 20 after two months, which she became one in ep 10 during new year's. Then, Shin instructed the secretary to fix the situation regarding the bankbook while mentioning that Eun tak has yet to be of legal age in September. What did he meant of legal age? or the insurance company does not consider the addition of 1yr. in age?

    Please enlighten me. Kamsa~

Btw, it was refreshing to see the hospital scene in ep 9 to be short and funny. I was glad that they excluded the typical emotional encounter where the male/ female character broods by the bedside and replaced it instead with the comical scene. Heol, who would not be shocked to see a bunch of doctors staring at you when you wake up? :w00t:
