  1. So ok....it looks as though NJW started off as a good guy, he DID go there to save KI and HYY. To help them escape before Bucket hat and the evil Professor came. Looks like Bucket Hat was hired to do the dirty deed, but since they escaped, the Prof ran him down with the car? Not sure what the motive was yet, though....it’s all in that microphone pen. So I guess we won’t find out till the final episode what the motive was....but it obviously has something to do with the Shinyoung Corp. Looks like NJW really connected with the bad guys, and he’s screwed. Sad, considering he had attained his dream of becoming a conductor! As for Director Yoon, why was SHE misusing funds? I’m confused about her and her role in all of this. Or is that a hole in the story? And....I bet HYY was crushing on Do Hoon all along, but she lost that memory, too. That’s why KI said he’d help her all he could....even though his heart was breaking! Getting down to the last week, finally. I was enjoying some parts, but it was getting tiresome watching Bucket Hat tormenting everyone, as well as how the story dragged along. Maybe they could have done a 24 episode show on this story, it would have been tighter.
  2. Ok, I rewatched it with subs. Now, after hearing what the glasses dude said to NJW about doing unnecessary things.....I wonder if NJW went to the warehouse with the intention of saving YY? Maybe he does sincerely care about her? And her relationship with Kim Ian was platonic....it was one-sided on his part, that’s why no one else knew about it? And JY knew about her because KI told JY about her, unbeknownst to YY? Things may be falling into place....but HEJ, she is one wicked, wicked gal. Ugh!!!
  3. Who else besides me got a little creeped out when they saw NJW’s eyes behind the mask? I’ve always wondered about him, because he’s kind of “extra” as the young folks say these days. His actions are different...bold and out of the ordinary, I should say? And it is a HUGE mystery to me WHY he is the way he is to YY. Is he just keeping an eye on her should she remember that night? And it’s interesting that HEJ seems to know so much about that night, when she wasn’t even there. Where is she getting her information? She is such a needy character, yet so aggressive and bold that people don’t like her. She only thinks about herself, which is probably why she puts people off. I’m not sure I’m liking what’s happening with JY. Is he gaslighting YY, or is he now developing feelings for her? She’s obviously still vulnerable, because she still continues to see him. And what was that ending today? Now he’s jealous? The web of mystery gets further entangled!
  4. Why do you think that, may I ask? I’m hooked on this drama....the story really intrigues me! I love murder/mysteries!
  5. This drama is really good! The acting, the story, the directing!! The main characters have more or less been fleshed out for us....well the women are, the men are still mysterious. I hope JY isn’t messing with HYY....it’s obvious he’s keeping close to her because he suspects she was IK’s murderer.....but that kiss.....!!! HYY is rather naive and has led a rather pathetic life, so much tragedy! But, she marches on and survives! HEJ comes across as a troubled person that can’t seem to mind her own business. She is scary! She must not have a very good past, and she isn’t afraid to seduce men. Her survival instincts are strong, but she can be very brutal. JY is definitely hiding things....but yes, I don’t know why the name change. Hopefully we’ll find out soon enough. He is kind towards HYY despite the deception, that can’t all be an act, can it? NJW also seems troubled and does whatever he wants to, driving that handler of his crazy! Seeing him at the scene of the crime, I don’t know what to think. It does seem as though HE’S the murderer! Is that why he’s keeping HYY close to him???? what are your thoughts?
  6. @ShaNana, I’m not positive, but in an earlier episode, the other official admitted to plotting treason at another time in the past, but gave up the idea because something happened. So I don’t know if that’s why? I hear you, some things are very confusing. But it’s all about how people/politicians interpret things. I’m guessing that the messages being conveyed is like how you think, that it’s all about the choices you make in life. This was pointed out in the scene with Park Moon Su and Wi Byung Gi.....PMS pointed out to WBG that if he had chosen to live his life cleanly, he would not be in this situation. The thirst for power or fame sometimes leads people on the wrong path, and this is clearly illustrated in this drama. Regarding Prince Mil Poong, he is portrayed as a very evil character. His expression after killing the guard, and rubbing his face right after with his blood, really creeped me out. He is ruthless and evil to the core!!! The part that bothers me the most is that he killed so many people, yet got away with it, even if they knew. He was never arrested for any of those deaths, including the death of Yi Hwon. And now it seems that he is responsible for poisoning the King. Ugh!
  7. @gerrytan8063, Thank You for all your answers, I went back to the pages you referred to, to read your posts about the historical facts. I wasn’t much of a history buff until recently, so I admire you for your knowledge! It really helps to know the history to understand this drama. Never thought I’d get into the political intrigue! I am suggesting to my husband that he watch this.....he usually watches Japanese dramas, and usually about the samurai. He also likes Game of Thrones......so I think Haechi is up there in caliber, right? Maybe even better! At least Haechi doesn’t show all the sleeping around that goes on.....which is good, I don’t need to see that.
  8. I am not a usual fan of saeguk dramas because it is always more about scheming and politics, the plot for power. I was more of a romance fan......but now it seems I’m switching over! I love this drama, the storyline is so interesting!! Very good writing and acting, am really enjoying it! some people mentioned that YJ was excluded.....but her accident was sudden, so I think it couldn’t be helped. Hopefully she’ll be able to return soon, and it’ll all be good! Yi Tan and Yoon Young are birds of a feather that stick together! Yoon Young has just as much a lust for power as Yi Tan, and ultimately, she will go down with him! His methods of trying to take Yi Geum down are very underhanded.....despicable! Can anyone tell me why these royal characters have multiple names? Yeoning, Yi Geum, and ? I forget the third name, is one and the same person? Why do they have so many names, and when do you call them what??? If you just walk into the story, it can be very confusing!!!
  9. @annie1234....I think his pronunciation is good because I think they said he studied in the U.K.? I was just thinking that he speaks English better than me! I live in Hawaii, locals speak Pidgin English here. I guess it’s something like using satoori in Korea? Lol
  10. Wow, this drama is so unpredictable! Thank you all whom are participating in this forum, for keeping me posted when I don’t have time to sit and watch. I love reading all your thoughts, speculations and predictions! Always fun to hang out with like minded people! Who else besides me thinks Jang Na-ra is a vampire? Haha I mean that in a good way, my son refers to people who just don’t age as vampires.....and she definitely is one of them!! She always looks the same, so young and beautiful! Someone mentioned earlier on this forum about a role that SSR played in which he was a good guy...it was “Trot Lovers” which featured Jung Eun-Ji and Ji Hyun-woo! If any of you like him, you should check it out.....he was really a nice guy in that one. Sort of played a “White Knight” role, in fact!
  11. @hushhh, 1) CW’s biological Mom is deceased, but her Husband chose to live with her mother and got remarried to SJ. 2) Good question, why DID CW marry WS? He’s such a loser!!! 3) JY is Jae-hak’s adopted son....SJ came into the marriage with JY. That was part of the problem, the grandma didn’t like him at first and was mean to JY. 4) Not sure when or how JH met SJ. 5) JY is the only one not biologically related to CW and JH.
  12. @angelwingssf, glad to hear it’s not only me! I tend to fast forward scenes of CW’s useless husband with his sidekick, most scenes with the MIL, the lawyer son, his ex, and Jy’s ex. I’m with you, only into the main story, but they are really dragging it. Upon watching with subs....I saw the part where CW went to Thank the detective and he told her about the non-matching dna, that’s why I thought it was messed up and got confused. It’s very annoying to hear the halmoni always thanking the evil stepmother, when she’s such an evil person! Ugh.
  13. @angelwingssf, Thank you, I must have missed that part. I fast forward a lot, as you can tell. Lol. I don’t know about anyone else, but I was trying to read JY’s expression every time they flashed on his face when CW was at their home and they all sat around together. I feel like he may be slightly disappointed? Because I think he sees CW as a woman. How junk is it that she is now his long lost sister? I want CW’s no good husband to be outed, along with her lame MIL! That woman is just as awful as the evil stepmother.....or maybe not, since she doesn’t “hide” her face like the stepmother does. Too many villains!
  14. Just got through watching raw......the evil stepmother is STILL at it.....did she do something with DNA again? They are saying that CW is not the missing daughter? OMG, I’m not sure I can handle this.....I don’t like it when evil prevails....they should have the Dad and CW go together to a DNA lab and have it tested right then and there!!!
  15. This drama has such great “feels”! I feel so bad for MD, he really loves KS, but it’s sooo obvious that he’s not the one who has her heart fluttering. Too much familiarity, maybe??? Going to Seoul seems exciting to her now, but she is too pure and innocent to survive in Yoo Baek’s world. This is his attraction to her, her purity and innocence. We can already see the changes in YB, especially about his jeans! He initially went crazy when he saw what halmoni did, then he thought better of it and let it go. To me, that was HUGE for him. His former narcissistic self would have protested much more, and NOT have worn the jeans, much less with the patches on! I thought it was funny, yet very sweet of him to accept the heart with which halmoni patched them. YB has met a woman who is NOT after his money, nor his fame.......she is just herself, very comfortable in her own skin and completely selfless. KS gave up her dreams because of her love for halmoni....how sweet is that? The more YB learns about KS, the deeper he falls in love with her. And wants to become a better person because of her. But taking her to Seoul, in his opinion, is opening up the world to her...which I think will cause the angst that’s yet to come. I’m interested to see how all of this will affect KS, and how their relationship will progress. I wonder if YB will be able to give up his world????
