I want to watch JKH drama already!
Great actor versatile in any genre.
@larus what's the genre, btw? and the plot? He plays attorney for contractual laborers? I don't want this comedy though. I miss him in Heartless/Cruel City drama. It's been a while.

For those not into jdrama Sakaguchi Kentaro Japanese actor who starred in the jdrama version of Signal (of course nothing beats the orginal!) He's a good actor. If not familiar try and watch to Soshite, Ikiru (aka And, Live) also his earlier drama when he was starting.... Love That Makes You Cry.

I'd prefer action, mystery.. without the comedy tbh but still....wow cos I Like the cast. More than that.. when I saw who the writer and director was.... I'm sold! I've seen all three dramas except for GBM..love love love Beyond Evil and Chief Of Staff esp BE.

Lee Sang Yeob and Kon So Hye - not familiar with her and first time watching her.. but def. one to watch good acting! LSY .shows us good actors are always not not hallyu stars

Ep6 you leave us with cliff hanger!
This drama is good y'all why aren't you kdrama lovers watching this! have to wait for another week again when I want to watch Ep6 alteady! Good mystery crime thriller.
Ep 5. a fate is decided by vote.. gonna be killed by voting! If society's evil do bad things..Gaetal's gona take care of it but it's one scary RickRoll'D that I wouldn't want to happen in real real life.. You see everything now seems be by voting via text. One's fate is decided by the number of people who vote. The reality of 21st century.. everything is done through text vote and polling via phone. It's warped reality. But a criminals/rapist should suffer! I mean if it were real.. how would you feel if you receive a text asking to vote to end a life? Morals are tested. It makes you think though. Again this is fiction drama!thank goodness. A good one to watch.

Back to the Ep6 my theory on who is Gaetal is winding down..or not.. this drama maintained the suspense I cann't be sure either. I sense Jihoon knows and works with Gaetal. I though of Kim Mu Chan as the Gaetal.. but they don't know each other (or do they? if Jihoon is the other child in the drawing, Mu Chan would know him). Mu Chan only met Jihoo when the night the Gaetal escaped.. when Jihoon stopped -rather prevented-Minjoo in the pretext of saving her - from Gaetal who was able run a way.
I feel Jihoon is definitely working for Gaetal.
My theory is right I sense it. 8 years ago Mu Chan saw first hand how devastated Kwon SeokJoo was when his daughter was murdered. I said in my previous post... someone atoning. But this is theory. I could be wrong.

Gaetal is tall and broad shouldered. Mu Chan fits that descript. But The tumbler significance.. I've not seen any scene Mu Chan with a tumbler....again the clues.. 180 cm. tumbler good with computers. Can hack - now that would be someone working with the Gaetal. Jihon fits the bill. But wait... it could be one of the police officer..... the boy in the drawing or the chauffeur or maid's son
The Assembly woman had psycho son and then's the other one? who could end up to be Gaetal for all we know. But it's definitely someone who seeks to right the wrong and rid society of criminals and seek justice for the victims.
Well.. the protagonist could be the anatgonist. Can be suspect as well as the lead...

Wasn't that keen on Ep 6, tbh.
Tae Young cares and is a good person.. when not in a sports agent mode. He has an agenda.
When kwoonsok tells Tae Young... "ahjussi you're really a scumbag". Tae young telling her in ep 6.. I really need this. He told her he want Kwonsook to win first fight then lose the second fight and that's it. Kwonsook can walk away.. and become Lee Yu Ri again, while he rakes the money and pay off that 2.5 million owed to match fixing that was suppose to be. Otherwise, his mother becomes collateral. So he's scumbag with an intent to just get money.
Tae Young wants to right a wrong by doing the wrong way to make everything all right. It's a quick way way to sell match. Kwonsook doesn't want to fight but the promise to walk away after just couple of fights... she agreed. Agreed to lose the match. She know this.. but the very bottom of the reason why, and the way he did it and the maneuvering and behind the back dealings... Kwonsook doesn't know. In episode 7 coming up.. she says... "you're even worse than Jae Min" and "I'm fool for trusting you."
In hindsight.. she does know and she's willing to lose the match.. she even says.. she wants Han Areum to win back her title... fighting to go back to how it was before... to never box again because she said there was no reason to. She did not get to enjoy her young life and was always getting hit (no pun). But what makes it worse is kwonsook doesn't know the behind the scene dealings.. " you're really a scumbag ahjussi".

Can't wait for the sub of ep 5. OMO.. is there something or is gonna be the cruelest comfort. I'm gonna punch you Tae Young if Kwonsook heart is shattered.
Their dynamic is actually good even with romance. They complement each other with difference in character yet similar their strengths of stronghold. But do swoon for them.

Yeah, discussing this by myself. No one here watching this surprisingly good drama? Even w/o popular stars, the acting alone is worth the watch. The script and directing is good too.

I mentioned previous posts earlier.. I'll say it again. Lee Sang Yeob and Kim So Hye acting are terrific. Layers of their characters.
When they both get what they want.. to leave and run behind after three months. She knows he needs money. He never hide that fact that he wants her to lose. He gave her an option.. win and then lose and never return to boxing. which made her life miserable in a way that she didn't have that balance of young life she needs.
This last scene from Ep 4 It's sad. it's a cruel comfort. Tae young sincerely comforting Kwonsook in a lying way.....
When you actually think he's really comforting her and she believes it but he does this because her father said that is the ritual when her Kwonsook gets nervous,Aiisssh!

If ever and if she has to lose -Would Kwonsook want to lose though? - I'd prefer if she lose the match to Han Areum. I felt sad for her too. She refused to fight Kwonsook when Tae Young offered her.
Chae Won Bin playing Han Areum. Don't know who she is but I like her here.. just don't be bad character...

I'm thinking nahhhh he can't be the person Gaetal.. or who works for Gaetal other wise he'd be punished too through killing vote! And he should be

The ending of ep 4 through...
Tae Young telling kwonsook to "trust me". Mortal words. He admitted already he wants her to lose a match. He told her they can both end it and run away from the ring... both of them wanting. Kwonsook hates boxing how her father made her monster. She would get hit. She had no life. Train to perfection. To win. Can't have a life. But to train so hard only to lose... Kwonsook would chose to win. But to be free from boxing... she has to lose. But no athlete would want to lose. That's fact in real life. For Tae Young.. yes it is paradox. He might be cold blood agent. A cruel one but will never rigged a match. But to come up with the money to fix the predicament Hee Won got into, he needs money pay off fixing match..gone wong.. big rigging match. Paradox.
The drama is worth it. Serious and light when scenes calls for it and combines them with good acting from Lee Sang Yeob and Kim So Hye
The way Kim So Hye can be serious in an instant and can feel her distress and light and free and pure experiencing things (ie romance, food, sweets) that was taken away from her at a young age.
Lee Sang Yeob... as Tae Young is fantastic in this drama. As the sports agent who keeps tight hold on Kwonsook.

Low ratings but good quality drama. I'll take it anytime.
I like this drama and the two main leads. They're acting is good I like the story. It's poignant in ways. People think athletes are and rich have it all. Athletes have difficult lives and put so much effort to become good at their chosen field suffering injuries and mental state/even depression.. and sports agents are monsters sometimes who does what they need to do so survive as well. Currently watching Ep 3 for now.

Whoa! Shin Ha kyun in another dark character! EXCITED! caps for emphasis.. The genre + Shin Ha Kyun + the plot. Screams..excellent acting of Shin Ha Kyun as poor lawyer who becomes aggressive an villainous and evil. Maybe award for him?

It's only the first two episodes but there's something poignant. The vulnerability of the characters. Kwonsook and Tae Young (although ruthless) both fierce but vulnerable. And this is a sport drama mind you!
Lee Sang Yeob in this drama and his acting! He' always been a good actor
As Kim Tae Young.He's a ruthless sports agent, who'll do anything to keep money flowing and ensure client he handles get the best, stays out of trouble and he gets commission. He bribes, he pays reports, he does what sports agent does but he was against match fix but then he was put in a bind, blackmailed and ruthless manager used his mother is an insurance because of match fixing money he owes. The scene below... when he needs her desperately and will do anything Discussing on how to do pay off that match fixing money he owes. Using Kwonsook. He offered her comeback. Win the 1st match.. lose the 2nd and retire..Cold heart agent out of desperation. Kwonsook would never dare lose match.
I'm not familiar who Kim So Hye. I like her acting in this drama and her overall vibe.
It was good. They're good. I like them. I probably don't mind age gap.
Btw, I also feel for Han Areum the opponent that was ghosted. I also don't know who the actress who plays the character but I feel her back story is sad too. The way she trains, blisters in her feet.

And yes aside from The Killing Vote, I'm also currently watching this now.
The first 5 minutes her Lee Kwon Sook punching the Estomata boxer as the only female participant. I usually know when I'll like a drama and if it's good during first 30 mins. It's only been 5 mins and good for me already. Did not care or understand about baseball terminology but I guess it's to show how the match fixing works.
If you're not watching this..you're watching something I'm not and you're missing out Lee Sang Yeob. From serious to light to misery disorient to serious and back to light LSY acting is fantastic to watch and Kim So Hye' is same too. Not familiar with her but I the acting I see.
I got a bit teary eyed that part when they were running at night it.. Kwon Sook told Tae Young to leave her alone, that she knows he needs money that why he keeps on bugging. Tae Young never denying the fact. Told her can he make that happen, her disappear and become Lee Yu Ri again. and never have to box. He needs this for his own. Redeem something in cruel wrong way. While Kwon Sook.. she left retired after her mother's death nobody cared. That she retired doesn't want to go back. When she retired, nobody told her what she can't do. first time she has not been hit (bet there's some abuse by her boxing manager ). For sure she wants to box again

So I mentioned theory who is or who works for Gaetal. I'll add Jo-dan.. the computer expert .because It's always the least and and innocent ones that you'd suspect. I mean we know how kdramas work.
The clue is tall body and tumbler. and the son. The most obvious after 3 episodes is high school teacher Minsoo. But if it is... then it's giveaway. But he's giving bad vibes.... I feel it.
Park Hae Jin has a good drama in this one. Never liked his previous dramas. And Seo Young Joo finally another drama! I'm a fan since CYHMH drama.

I'm gad this is fiction because he concept of execution of criminals through voting process is unthinkable and dangerous.
Anyway I'm Hooked! My choice of dramas never failed me! The fast pace. the suspense . The theories I have who could be "Gaetal". This is my fav current drama. Drama airs once a week though.. why??!!
Episode 3 good!
So who could be Gaetal?? The murder happened 8 years ago and professor Kwon was sentenced for killing his child's murderer. In the drawings there there two kids.
1. The teacher Minsoo - because the tumbler, the one who paid kids to take video. The police definitely recognized him when they were at the school grounds investigating. Thought he's Lee Yun Seong, the student. His mother is the assembly woman...
2. Jihoon- He's involve. I feel.. but not the Gaetal. He stopped Joomin when she almost got the 'one' inside Kwons house.
3. Mu Chan - protagonist can be the antognist.. plot twist. He was the officer who witness Kwon's revenge. Who knew of Kwon and they were close... according to Kwon..
These three def suspicious. Who else??

When I saw the the title before going to this thread, i knew it's gonna be love romance and immediately thought of Bridges on of Madison county. I miss good old romantic drama again. This could be it!. I also like the writer's previous work BTIMFL. And finally.. . yes like a normal character for JJH.
