Hi Five! chingu on both of us loving BBC's P&P I loved everything about it and for the longest time that's the only series I would watch every time I wanted to watch anything romance I liked the 2008 movie but was not really satisfied with it......Kiera Knightley's take on Lizzie was a little too tomboyish for my taste and McFayden was good but nowhere near Colin Firth. Are you a Jane Austen fan?

Yeah we have Austen on the curriculum here too. But I read it and saw it before we studied her. I'm sure it would be a totally new cultural experience. I've been to America, Europe and the Middle East. So I really want to try and visit all of Asia. India is definitely a stop. I know of Bollywood but I've never seen any of the films. Must check them out.
It's nearly 12am here so I'll be going to bed soon, Goodnight @littleloony lovely chatting to you

Wow another shared interest... Agatha Christie.. I LOVE Poirot!!! The ITV series of course and I've read a few of the books. I'm from right next door to the UK - Ireland. So we get all the English channels. It's so cool to know that Pride and Prejudice has an ardent admirer in India. I don't watch much Bollywood so I can't really spazz with you about that I'm afraid and I've never been to India either but I hear it's a gorgeous part of the world, It's on my travel list of places to go. Oh, I loved Slumdog Millionaire too.

I've heard about the Lizzie Diaries but have yet to watch it. It's on my to do list for sure. After Scarlet Heart though.... I'm too immersed in the world of Hae Soo to watch anything else.. And Death at Pemberley had such an impact on me I forgot the correct title - Death Comes to Pemberley! Lol sorry about that. But yeah no seriously you didn't miss out on much.
Bu Bu Jing Xin - it takes a while to get into the story proper but when it does it's worth all the aggro. You should definitely see it but be warned.. it's not for the faint hearted! It's up to you how you feel once you've finished Scarlet Heart. You might not be in the humour at that stage to watch it. Thanks for hitting me up on my profile, it's nice to spazz about our interests with like minded individuals. I have to ask, are you from the UK?

No one does Darcy like Colin Firth. Did you see Bridget Jones Diary? He reprises his role on Darcy somewhat and is hilarious but suave. I have to say Wuthering Heights took it out of me too... very bleak. And the live version wasn't much better but worth the watch in the end. I only did see it the once though. Can't revisit all that angst. That's why I found it very hard to rewatch Bu Bu Jing Xin. I can honestly say that's the only drama that made me flat out cry.... Yeesh. But so worth it. Once you get used to the Chinese idiosyncrasies of filming of course. And I'm loving Scarlet Heart Ryeo now. Thank god it's a little lighter in tone.... although maybe we should prepare our tissues for later.
The only other tv show/film I watched as much as Pride and Prejudice was Anna and the King with Jodie Foster. I sickened my sisters with that and Pride and Prejudice. Had them on whenever I got a chance. But if you haven't seen that film you'll love the romance in it.
Did you ever see the follow up they did to Pride and Prejudice called Death at Pemberley? It was interesting but couldn't beat the original. I didn't really see the female lead as Lizzie. Jennifer Ehle has me spoiled for that one. And I too had a semi girl crush on her though not as big as the crush on Colin Firth

Am I a Jane Austen fan?? I freaking love her. Pride and Prejudice is the first book I can remember reading that really resonated with me. I adore all her books. Love the Bronte sisters too. Have you watched any of the BBC adaptations of Jane Eyre or Wuthering Heights? I especially loved Jane Eyre but Pride and Prejudice 1995 holds a very dear place in my heart. I recorded it on video first and broke that.. then had a dvd and no matter how careful I was it just wouldn't play anymore. Now have it recorded on my Sky+ Box and only just recently rewatched it. I hate how annoying the mother is in it, and I can't stand Lydia but Lizzie is my true heroine.. and lets not forget Darcy... **swoon**

Dear MadraRua
Do you know that there is Ep7 Part 2- Director cut, Ngs?
I heard that it was yesterday or today but can't find any link
Hope that you have it
Pls share
Thanks

Hello @receipemum. Episode 7 Part 2 was basically a rehash of all that has happened in the previous episodes with a dose of a history lesson thrown in for good measure. By all accounts it wasn't that big of a deal and we didn't learn anything new. Sorry I don't have links to it. I don't think any site has uploaded it. Certainly there's no subs for it. And I can't find any torrents for it. Sorry I can't be of more help. \^o^/
