This is so weird, he's made some of my favorite shows. If anyone has seen Padam Padam, that show is a masterpiece. Just such beautiful meditations on the nature of guilt, criminal justice, and love at the end of life.

It's Okay that's Love was fine, I didn't love it and didn't finish it.

The Winter That Wind Blows was also really decent with Song Hye Kyo and Cho In-Sung - a tense, beautifully shot drama about a con man.

There are elements of stunning scenery and emotional heartfeltness I don't really see in other Korean shows that I saw in Moonlovers. I just really wanna know what went wrong. Usually, directors get better as they do more work. SOLVE THIS FOR ME INTERNET.

Moonlovers makes me wonder too. what this drama and its production did to PD Kim??!!! I have suspicion that the investors have something to do with the drama production if not SBS.

  2. Everyone's already bidding a farewell to this thread already? :bawling:

Well, anyway, as most of us already pointed out, despite all the mess and flaws and everything in last two episodes, I'm in the minority that quite satisfied with how they give us closure (well, not really if we had expected 21st century So to appear in the last couple of scenes) to So and Soo's love story. It could have been and must have been way MUCH BETTER, MORE COMPELLING, and MORE EPIC love story ever etc but with what this drama had given to us for the past 2 months, I wonder if the journey would had been this thrilling and fun and fantastic with almost 2000 pages and countless thought provoking and insightful posts from all of us when the editing and music arrangement were perfect? :)

I'm still lurking here every now and then until SBS Drama Awards this year end to witness myself if SBS dare to invite the casts for some giveaway awards because I don't think they could ever consider to put LJK, KHN or LJE into the nominees. Oh well. SBS is just weird sometimes hahaha

I have made up my mind not to open this forum since Friday, I even uninstall my instagram to avoid any kind of spoiler! But that was worth it, I truly loves the ending, my hope is for the drama to give good ending despite it being happy or sad and boy how they delivers! I might need to pick up pieces of my heart and do rerun before I can wrote a long essay about the ending.

But all in all, my life was a mess thanks to Scarlet Heart, but it is worth every emotion and tears I pour into this drama, now I can finally have my real life back (and wedding preparation on the way)

Aaaawww salute to you for keeping all spoilers away! and yeeaaayyy to the wedding preps takes into priorities again :D

    Wish you all the best!

bracing myself for final episode tonight! The love story in Goryeo needs to be put to end so that 21st century love story might get a chance to start and blossom. *fingers crossed*

  5. I'm not taking sides as I think the blame should be put on the PDnim or writernim who had butchered Soo's character and its development through course of the drama. *sigh*

But it was such fun backreading all the over 50 pages (though I'm still 1/10 of it) and you guys share very insightful way of thinking into So and Soo.

ps: I couldn't join the thread after episode 19 ended last night. Are we in an agreement that So finally slept with YH after she agreed to throw his brother for her son to be crown prince? I'm still curious on people take on that particular scene. Part of me didnt want to believe that they consummate the wedding while Soo's still at the palace. That's such a cruel torture for her. *sigh*

This is the first drama who torn me apart between my reason and my feelings. My brain told me that GJ did the right thing cleaning the palace of traitors but my feelings go with HS telling me that the way in which he did that it was too cruel. I will try to watch the last two episode without to judge, without feeling because otherwise I will go crazy. Even so I have a little hope thinking that GJ will trick YH. He promised her that he will give her what she wants if she will give up on her family (Wook). After he will take his vengeance on Wook without YH to oppose him, she will ask him to give her what he promised to her. All I want to hear from him is: I lied.

For me my So-Soo ship will never sink. It will float adrift in the open ocean like Flying Dutchman for a thousand years.

To me the ship had already been sailing after that defying-gravity horse scene and still drifting to the vast ocean even though winds and thunders and storms come against it. The ship will be right there arrive at the final end safe and sound!

  7. WOW! 1600 pages! Congratulations guys! WOW! two episodes and we've got over 50 pages to cover and still counting! I have to backtrack those pages as I could only randomly backtrack to some pages. I'm afraid of missing insightful posts from all of you thus this backtracking is going to be way to spend the next 6 days as we're drawing near to the final end.

I'm not ready to say goodbye to our OTP! :bawling:

Hi. I am glad we are on the same page with regard to the new Wang So. Same here, this is the Wang So that I have been waiting for, a smart king who could outsmart his rivals using his brain and not letting his heart clouding his judgment. Don't you agree that power is what making a man sexy? And here I can see a sexy Wang So, not full glory yet until he managed to control his cabinet but he is promisingly heading there. The thing is, one should not view Wang So all the time in romance context, instead should view him as whole, in a broader perspective. We are modern women and we all know well that love alone does not make the world go round.

Well, maybe we are in the minority who cheer for the new So that had been presented to us for the last 2 episodes. It might seem too sudden to some viewers but given that the faulty pacing and poor time jump we have gone through for the whole 18 episodes, his new side as a King is what I had been looking forward since the beginning of this drama.

And yes, you're absolutely right, we should view him in the big picture not only as Soo's lover. He's a son of a King and Queen, he's a brother to his siblings, he's a part of the palace. He's part of Goryeo.

  9. Well, I need the writer to convince me that there's enough reason not to kill Wook and that there's reason how to get Won out of the palace at this state.

And also I need the writer to convince me that there's a price for what Yeonhwa had done all these time because I can't bear with the fact that she's now a queen to So yet he didnt even know every single evil deed she had done to Soo and her brothers?!!

Like are you serious, writernim? Are you gonna let Yeonhwa slip with all the things she had done? ugh.

After that episode and preview I almost had a heart attack!

Am I the only one that felt a sudden rush of emotions and was going absolutely insane not knowing how to deal or act properly?

You are not ALONE. GOSH! drama gods won't ever let our OTP to spend their love even for a day! They need a break, mind you? T_T

Btw, I agree that punishment for CR wasn't as brutal and excruciating as I had thought. But maybe, the humiliation that comes along with the punishment.

LOTS of things and emotions happened in episode 17 alone! Oh I think I need to watch SBS version first as the international version confused me in some parts.

While I'm suddenly feeling sad that we only have 3 episodes left. Am not ready to say goodbye to this drama! :bawling:

Hi everyone. I just sign up to this forum because of MLSHR:w00t:. Never love a kdrama so much before. Until now, my favorite kdrama was "My Girl" and "Goong". Didn't like DOTS or Doctors and regarding MDBC, i dropped it because compare to MLSHR, it's just too childish.... Kdrama W, just stopped watching after 2 ep. Like everyone else, my life change since MLSHR. Just love reading this forum. All of you are amazing and I never thought that fans can be so crazy about drama.

Welcome to the thread! as we only have 4 episodes left, unlurking as much as you can :D You can throw your speculations and theories here as well! We all go crazy because of this drama and all the fantastic posts here!

QUESTION: What do you guys think will happen with Wang Wook at the end of the drama? Disregarding history but in writer's mind. :phew:

Hmm I've been wondering about this since history suggested that Wook wasn't all 'evil' or 'bad'. Maybe he will be exiled again for some years then came back to palace again?

Amen to that! I was holding out that Soon Deok didn't really die (there was a picture around showing her in hanbok with a baby belly), but I thought the hanbok was a bit Joseonesque and tried not to put too much into it :(  I am bracing myself for many nights with ice cream reflecting on life and why love is so hard after this drama - heartbroken over the end of a relationship that I'm not involved in :w00t: - How crazy is that???!

Oh no~ I think I need to stock my chocolate and ice creams fave just in case when I re-watch this whole drama again and no one can share the agony with me, I still can be comforted by those chocos and ice creams :D

I apologize if it seems like I had contributed to heavy tenor of recent discussions. It was never my intention to do so, in fact it was the opposite because I noticed how emotional and upset people were becoming overnight. For me it was not about defending HS per se but about bringing balance to the discussion. If it had inadvertently caused more problems than resolved any, I apologize.

Anyway, I'm out of here. I really should be prepping for work tomorrow.

Well, no need to be sorry. We are all here for an insightful and healthy discussion. That's what makes this thread feel extraordinary (especially to me) as we all share our opinions with strong points and we don't give harsh judgments or brutal oppositions to others :)

Please keep 'em coming! we only have 4 episodes left, thus time is ticking for us to eventually see the final ending we've been extensively discussing all past these thousands posts :D
