I just finished ep 7 of Exes & Missus, and even though I originally felt like Alek's character was in a way "justified" in cheating, they are painting him in a worse light in the last episode. He said he had broken it off with his one-night stand, but then one-night stand gets slandered online ('cause someone leaked the video footage of Alek's character and one-night stand coming out of the bathroom where they had just had sex - both adjusting their clothes). Alek's character blames his wife for leaking the video (she had hired a private investigator to find out who he was cheating with), but it wasn't her. It was the wife's friend. But one-night stand is crying her heart out so Alek goes there.... and then - boom! (time stamped) We don't see if they go all the way. Again. Like dude, I understand. You're married to someone who doesn't care about your feelings, undermines you constantly, bosses you around, never makes time for you and makes you feel utterly unloved. So you make a "mistake" when you're drunk to make yourself feel wanted for 19 minutes and 20 seconds in a bathroom. In any case, you tell your devastated wife you have cut the mistake off. And you look extremely shattered that you've caused your wife so much pain. Who btw now may want to divorce your behind. But instead of telling your wife the reasons WHY you wanted a new shiny thing (ok, not entirely true because he did scream to her in an argument that he felt undermined and controlled), you go back to your new shiny thing after the argument to comfort the one-night stand (who probably is now a two-night stand). Like I do understand, you might be falling for your now two-night stand, because she SEEMS different from your wife (he hasn't seen how evil she is yet). You need to make a commitment and sort out your own feelings first. Why is it so hard to communicate and talk about your own feelings? It does feel a bit hard to not entirely like Alek's character 334

It was very good! Was blown away how good Yoongi's vocals have become. In some parts I actually forgot he's a rapper. Clearly his singing lessons have paid off. He got great reviews from industry experts that his vocal skills are impressive. Maybe we will hear him sing more in the future? I agree with you here. Even in the first episode it was clear that Kwakkie was cast as the "comic relief". And why not? He excels at comedy and has great comedic timing. He's doing his job - matching the "Korean style" of comedy. Something that is actually a lot harder than one would think. Comedic timing is actually thought to be innate and something that is hard to learn. So even the best actor out there can suck at comedy roles - no matter how many acting lessons they take. He played a very similar role in Vincenzo - which was directed by the same director as Queen of Tears. A role where he had to balance comic relief and "serious" acting. If he wasn't cast to do this role, I'm sure that this drama would be very much a pure serious melodrama, no? PS. On a side note.

I just finished ep 8. Is it just me or is this drama just getting better? I knew her dad was alive! That's why I asked in the previous poll about it already. Thoughts: 1) My guess is that Cookie monster lady is after Moon Young because the body that Moon Young identified in the mortuary was actually the lady's real dad. Seems like Moon Young's dad did a similar disappearing act as Cha Seung Jae back in the day, and he might have killed the person who took his place (like Hwang Tae Soo). Or at least been involved in it somehow. Moon Young making the "mistake" of identifying the body as her dad, causing Cookie Monster lady's dad's disappearance never to be investigated, might have triggered her. (Cookie Monster lady did say to Wheelchair haraboji that she never got to experience her dad's love so it's clear that he died when she was young). Cookie Monster lady blames Moon Young for it all, and somehow dad is paying for his sins by having to be her lackey in all dirty work. 2) There are more and more allusions to Bom being the real daughter of Do Jin Woo. The director is making such interesting scene editing choices where it's hard not to start to think that Bom might have been adopted after all. Am also seeing this theory gaining traction in other places. 3) Regarding a possible romance between Moon Young and Do Jin Woo. Also in this episode, there were 2 scenes that foreshadowed something romantic happening: BFF comes in and says "What's going on here? Don't forget that I told my ex-husband that I'm in a relationship with Jin Woo. Can't be having a love triangle starting" Do Jin Woo appears in front of Cookie Monster lady's house, and Cha Seung Jae gets visibly annoyed and clearly jealous saying "What is he doing here again?" 4) Did you notice that it was an elderly woman who stole the briefcase at the airport? At first I thought it was "My son can do no wrong" MIL, but I don't think it was her. I am going to guess they are planning on introducing Moon Young's real mother into this show.... Let's not be shy when it comes to oppas. I have advised @agenth and @gm4queen to have backup oppas. There will be the day when your main oppa gets into a scandal - that's when it makes sense to have backup oppa mode activated. Talking about oppas who got into scandals, my previous main oppa CJH got his mother to appear on My Little Old Boy: @agenth His mom.... Wow! Am sure she loves her only child a lot and means well, but holy smokes she nags.... I found her quite scary tbh He's so patient with her, not getting angry. Am amazed by his gentle soul and self-control. But I do have to silently wonder if his relationship with his mom has impacted his romantic relationships too. He has revealed that he is "too trusting" and has been scammed / two-timed by previous girlfriends. Seems like he is "too kind" and might let "women control him too easily". Wouldn't be surprised if he has major trust issues with women nowadays... And then he got caught allegedly in a room salon a few years ago. For some reason, his scandal started to make a bit more sense now. All in all he seems to be gentle, patient and very loving (as we've seen him a lot with his doggie Mongsil). But he might have to work a bit on learning how to set boundaries.... 400

I watched snippets and then read some recaps as well. Agree that they changed the plot a lot. I doubt e.g. that they will be introducing the FL's mother in this drama. And the husband was "dead" for a lot longer in the original work (the whole first season I think?) Yeah, watch there be a truck of doom appearing from somewhere before this drama is over. They never listen to me either. Am always shipping the wrong couple.

Am not sure if it's really her choice. Honey Lee and Kim Hee Sun are not doing kissing scenes anymore either. And both definitely pass the sexy vibe check. I don't care, the Female Lead should definitely get some kind of comeuppance in the form of a hot babe for the dirty cheating husband and MIL she was dragging around for years.
