Still watching Dragon Sakura. I like it; nothing original, somewhat predictable. The one student I'm interested in lost both parents, so he and his older sister are trying to run the family restaurant , but are in debt to loan sharks. He dropped out of the special UTokyo classes to help more with the restaurant. The sad thing is that he really wants to learn, possibly for the first time, but now he can't. I suspect the sensei and his assistant will help the student somehow.

I like gyudon. I buy at the Japanese market, but I think I like a fast food place, Beef Bowl, better. I've only had it plain, not with an egg. I do like shoga (red) on it too. *********** I googled the difference between Ninja and shinobi Like many concepts in Japanese, there are two different names for the shinobi; you might also know them as “ninjas”. Basically, they're the same thing, just two different words. Ninja is the Chinese word, whereas shinobi-no-mono (lit. “one who endures/hides”), or shinobi for short, is the native Japanese word. ******* Back to Dragon Sakura. Sensei is winning over more students.

I like the little boy on House of Ninjas. He's a cutie. ******** Dragon Sakura: Sensei Sakuragi is definitely unorthodox. I forgot to mention that he sleeps in a tent in the classroom.

@rocher22 I liked Kase-san too. I would have liked a little bit more about his background. Why was he so devoted to that family? ********** Dragon Sakura: I suspect the sensei Sakuragi will be the unorthodox teacher who helps students not typical UTokyo material granted admission to the university. He seems like an interesting character.

Now I found another drama, Dragon Sakura season 2. One of the actors(Takahara-san) was also in Dearest. I'm still watching House of Ninjas, but not sure it's my type of drama. It's top 10 on Netflix.

I thought so too. He does so much for that family; I hope that he's well compensated. He doesn't seem to have a life outside of work.

Finished Dearest! I recommend it. Keeps you guessing until the last episode. Back to House of Ninjas.

House of Ninjas is #7 on Netflix US. Another character named Gaku. Must be a popular Japanese name. I don't like the opening song. I'll try it.

Dearest is continuing to be a good drama. Part of the mystery is solved by episode 3. ***** Has anyone else noticed that there seem to be fewer commercials in Jdramas? I don't think it's my imagination.

Finally finished Fermet's Cuisine. I'd recommend it. I heard that there may be a season 2. ********* Now back to Dr Stock. I found another drama that sounds interesting, Dearest, a mystery. Dr Stork may be on hold again

I'm enjoying Fermet's Cuisine although I still don't know who Fermet is. The ML is a little annoying with his wide eyed look, a little too feminine. But, I think that wide eye look will change to eyes of a tyrant in ep 8 (of 10). One thing that is disconcerting is this shirtless man eating dinner. Why he eats without a shirt, I have no idea, but it bugs.

Fermat's Cuisine through ep 1 seems promising, although I don't know why the 2ML, the chef, would help Gaku. Now I know why I can't cook; it involves MATH!
