I can't believe I've been around since Aug 2014!

It hasn't been too bad where I live.  There's a flood watch until tomorrow morning.  We did have an earthquake 5.1, about 2 hours northwest of where i live.  

The only flashlight I had was one in the shape of a pig that oinks when you use the light.  i think it is a kid's flashlight someone gifted me 

Wow, they a short life 21-25 days!  He was only with me a couple of days

My neighbor texts--Carolyn, I have a favor to ask.

It turned out he wanted to store some of his bikes in my garage when he's on vacay this week.  Why didn't just ask if I have room to store a couple of bikes?

My friend got a dog!  Not the one she had in mind, but one she'll be happier with!

@partyon  I passed your request to the person that I spoke with at Viki.  She said she'll look into it.  Apparently, they interview people from a different country every year.  This year they focused on the US & Canada and I fit the profile they were looking for.

@Lmangla IKR?  How long does it take to ask questions about viewer preference?

The condensed version is that my coworker/friend is bringing our dept mgr to HR.  I may be called to corroborate one of the issues.  Tuesday may be a frosty day in our dept (we are hybrid, so not everyone sees each other until Tues/Wed).  Problem is if the mgr looked deep, my friend's nose isn't clean either.  You would be surprised if you saw our manager; HR has received 3 complaints about her in less than 2 years.  She's no dummy either, an attorney, and supposed, Ethics guru.

I was lucky, not even a bruise!  I must have tough toes!

He laughed.  You wouldn't know it looking at him, but he's a total jokester.  He looks serious when he tells you something and you believe him.  He is in his late 50s or 60s.  He told me that he can run fast across a busy street.  I believed him because he said that he was an athlete in college.  My pea size brain  reasoned that it is possible even though he does not look athletic now. 

The ants have left the building!  I repeat--the ants have left the building.  Yay!

They're coming   My city reminded us that we should make sure there's no standing water after the rain.  And, now I have ants 

I couldn't believe it.  I killed it and had to drive with a smash bug in my hand because my Kleenex was in the back seat 

Who out of the remaining 8 has never won a World Cup?  I'll root for that team.  I still haven't seen Messi play.

Did you watch the SK match today?  By the time, we started to watch, SK was down 4-0.  At least they can hold their heads high because they tried!

Save it until next summer   I think they're hibernating now 

Unfortunately, I don't have the steaming channel that carries the World Cup.  I think I can watch a day later on some channel.  

I bet SK was celebrating its win today.  Imagine how many more people were rooting for SK due to k dramas and k pop!  

I don't think the US will win tomorrow, but I guess getting this far is a victory in itself.  

Messi makes 41 million!

I didn't watch Japan v Spain, but my friend said Japan won.  Oh SK is playing tomorrow.  US is on Saturday.

No chingu, we watched Mexico and Saudi Arabia.  Another pretty good turnout to watch the game.  The pace of that game was different from the first two we watched.  Faster pace, the field seemed pretty wide open as opposed to players bunched together.  Tomorrow, I work from home, but I'm going to try to watch the US.  

I saw Argentina is at the top of their group, so I should have another opportunity to watch Messi.  I didn't realize they make A LOT of money!

We had a lot of fun watching USA defeat Iran today.  More people watched and were screaming lol.  

WE noticed that some dives to the ground are pretty dramatic.  But, the same thing happens in basketball; players sliding 10 ft on the floor when they're touched lol.  

I hope to see Messi since I recognize his name.  I'll try to catch at least one game.

They started showing the World Cup at work during our lunch hour.  Although my friend and I don't really understand, we decided that we would watch.  Today we watched Portugal vs Uruguay. We recognized Cristiano Reynaldo, who claims to have scored la goal ol.  Tomorrow the US plays, so we are interested even though we were told that the US Men's team is not very good.  Apparently, the US women's team is.  I've heard of Messi, so I hope we'll see one of his games.   I would also like to see Japan.  

It is chingu.  First, a prolonged discussion on how many times to fold the paper with our name and list of gifts.  One person (W) was not present for the drawing of the name.  That led to another discussion on how to determine if the last paper had a name other than W, since she can't have her own name.  Initially, we were all going to cover our eyes and the person who pulled X's name would raise their hand.  The person organizing would know who pulled the name.  She said she didn't want to know, so another discussion on how to figure out who pulled W's name, if anyone.  I said everyone gets a paper and whoever has W , put an "X' on the paper.  So, individual papers were passed out.  Another discussion, should we all put some mark, a X at the top if you pulled W's name and at the bottom, if you didn't.  No, too confusing.  Final decision, put an X if you have W's name, and a check mark if you don't.  Some wise guy put a star which made the organizer mad.  This took at least 30 min for 12 people to pull a name!
