  1. The kick makes me want to see Jong Suk in an action drama. *dreams on*

I haven't seen tonight's episode with English subs however, I watched it live. (Barely without lags for once!!) *fist pump*

Is Bum jo's mother evil or, not?

From the very get go she didn't look like someone capable of doing anything bad. For once in drama land I thought I saw a perfect mother someone who is not only the best mother to her child but, also a good human being.

Bum jo's mother has officially hit me hard. :( I didn't think you'd betray me like this omoni..

  2. wait till he is on ep 4 and sees him in super action saving the girl :D

We are at start of episode 4. And, he goes, "THIS ISN'T ALLOWED FOR LADies."..haha this is the scene where Healer "strips".

He kept on blocking my view. Damn it. I am so disappointed. :(

He loves DRUNK YOUNG SHIN though...Hahaha.

  3. Just recruited my younger brother (10)... he loves Healer. Haha.

So instead of watching Episode 5 with 20 percent English subs in viki. We are currently at Episode 3 where Healer breaks into Moon Shik's and his wife's room. And, my brother won't stop praising Healer.

Well. Damn Healer you got a fan boy.

  4. when l see the flashback of little CYS thrown in bed mmmm well l must say l suspect sexual assault along with violance maybe that's the accident the dad was refering to and maybe that's the reason why she can't sleep with anyone in the room (except our healer/PBS)

Even if she has forgotten the events pre 1992. Her heart probably remembers "her" younger healer.. is that why she can sleep well with junghu in the room.

I hope that she wasn't sexuality harassed cause not even the worse of female would deserve such a faith. :( please just let it be mild violence. She was only a child. A 6/7 yrs old at that.. :( :(

  5. Hello people! First time writing here. This show has made me so giddy. I'm a sucker for a Alpha Male spy character, then this Healer character came in, I was in deep melting ovary explosion shock!!, and on top with that  nerdy alter ego.. and Ji Chang Wook..

    :x :x :x

Can't wait for the next episode! And I love all your discussion here, keep on coming!

    Welcome to the thread. ♡

What an apt description, "nerdy alter ego".

  6. Gotta agree with you here!

:D Ah, who could ever forget the adorable-yet-so-immature-you-just-wanna-smack-him Paeha? He was the only reason I managed to trudge through that show until the bittersweet end (and also maybe because of TaNyang; loved that ship). I can't even explain how impressed I was with his performance in EK, and that was the first role I've ever seen him in.

Seeing how much effort and hard work JCW, the entire cast and production crew is exerting into Healer, the more I want it to succeed. Is that being too greedy of me? I just want the best for it happen. :)

I admit that I was also guilty

with comparing Healer to City Hunter waaaaay back when this was first

announced and when the trailers were released, but Healer is served with

a completely different flavor. For one, CH was a revenge story, whereas

Healer is not. CH had a much darker approach; Healer provides a lighter

perspective with some of its endearing and funny characters. Don't get

me wrong, I looooved CH, but I don't remember having a lot of fun

watching it as compared to this one. I mostly liked CH because of its

engrossing plot, but I was never that invested towards the characters.

In this case, however, I find myself becoming completely attached to the

loveable cast of characters and caring for them a lot.

It's really surprising me. How much can we write on this topic haha.

gosh. You are talking to a hardcore Tanyang shipper. That ending. T.T I was happy with it. I am forever going to pretend that they finally met in the afterlife.

Also, I suggest you to watch WBDS. Sometimes you feel like kicking some sense into Dong Soo but, it's alright. He learns from his mistakes. Lol.

No. It isn't greedy at all. All you are doing is asking for a little bit more acknowledgment of their hardwork. Hardwork shouldn't be neglected. ♡

    Healer is LOVE. Period. Haha

  7. this is what I was afraid of...something wrong with this fast easy revenge...

    :(( :((

I guess this is what will keep the "revenge" track going for the next 8 episodes.

I am sort of glad that there is something fishy about the death. It's way too early for Cha Ok to be learning her lessons. Also, Dal Po hasn't grown up as a reporter fully to be showing the "correct" path a reporter should be taking.

By, "growe up" I mean his own honest work as a reporter. :) He is only a newbie after all.

  8. Do you read my mind by any chance? I was just about to say: Ji Chang Wook, where have you been all my life? I'm deeply falling in love with the man. His acting skills are amazing and to know he is actually doing many of actions scenes without a stuntman makes me love him even more. And even if he doesn't do all of it by himself, that's totally understandable. Anyway, I find myself looking forward to his scenes and OTP scenes every episode.

I admit I'm one of those who is reminded of City Hunter when I see the cool action scenes. Not to make a comparison but because City Hunter was the first Korean action drama that I loved, still do. To me, personally, I think that action scenes in our drama are more thrilling, more fun, more daring. And I absolutely love it! I wish I could let people know how great this drama is and that it is worth watching.

I can't wait for new OST tomorrow! And really can't wait for episode 5. It was a long week. Thank god the long wait is almost over. :)

No. I don't know telepathy unfortunately or, any other form of mind reading/controlling powers such as telekinesis. Haha.

I am super glad that we both hold the same views when it comes to admiring Chang Wook's efforts put in this drama.

I have been following him since "Warrior Baek DongSoo". For me his best act was in WBDS. I will never be able to forget his character along side SeungHo. The bromance aside (which I freaking loved), I loved every little details that JCW had worked on in the show.

Then, I saw him in Empress Ki and, I was impressed as hell. I loved his portrayal of an immature, cute emperor with his inner sadness and, conflicts. Although, his acting fizzed out at some point in the drama (For God's sake it was a 51 episodes long drama!!!!!! And, yes I sat through every freaking 26 weeks and, watched the show. lol) he picked it up again after few episodes. This is what i call HARD WORKING. HE GAVE HIS BEST. HE TRIED HIS BEST TO PORTRAY THE MOST ANNOYING BUT LOVING CHARACTER. LOL. I was annoyed with his character as Pheya. Damn that guy was so immature, but I still loved him. Love is Blind apparently....

And, now, with Healer I see him in a different light. I see the efforts he has put in. I was strucked by that BTS photo where he was holding on to his hand (speculating that he hurt his arm?)

Ok. I rambled alot there didn't I? Sorry.

Back to the comparison. Yes. I loved CH, when it was airing too. But, I just don't see the point of comparing the two shows and, giving up on "Healer" without giving it a try fully.

This show is more than "Healing" by "Healer". It's about a kid and, how he became a "Healer". It's about a girl and, how she was "abandoned" by her parents. It's about a man whose father like older brother is evil. It's about the latter's struggle to keep himself and, his brother who border lines the "bad side" in the good side. It's about the same man's struggle with his conscience. It's about a lawyer who supports those criminals who want to redeem themselves after serving for their crime. It's about much more other than those fight scenes (which, of course, we all love.)

Edit: please ignore the typos and, grammatical errors. I am too lazy to correct them. Actually I am so lazy that I cant even make comprehensive sentences. What is ENGLISH? LOL..

P.S. that was a lot of word vomit. I am sorry.

literally  there is no place to bite  /:)

    Umm..

    Face!

    Ears!

    FINGERS!!!!!!!!!!!

[bOTH OF THEIR HANDS can DO MAny many things. ]

    O:-)

Edit: no idea why this was off topic. I suppose I went a little abord with the joke. Hmmm. *still don't see a problem.*

  11. Yes! He looked absolutely cute and adorable here! I wanna hug him, squeeze him and pinch his cheeks!

I couldnt even watch the scene. It broke my heart when I saw his eyes..... Few hundred's of pages back, I had mentioned that his eyes are the most captivating sides of him. And, I still stand by that. His eyes especially crying eyes, speak thousands of unsaid words. :( It's like his eyes pierce through my soul.

  12. It is a pity that only I am aware of this…Ji Chang Wook nim who is playing the role of Healer…I heard that he really does most of the action scenes himself and hardly uses any stuntmen.Ah….really…. ㅠ.ㅠ tears~ Especially the last scene that appeared in episode 4…the Iron Bar scene!!!I was told that almost everything in this scene was done by him without any stuntmen… The weather was extremely cold that day… On such a cold day…his bare hands were actually on that iron bar…. If you grab frozen-hard iron chopsticks that had been placed in the freezer, the feeling when the chopsticks touch your palm is so painful like it will graze your palm… It’s already so painful with iron chopsticks…and even more so with an iron bar… He even had to swing around and perform action stunts on it…… The moment I heard that….my heart was so touched~

I really cannot imagine another actor playing a Healer just like Healer, a Jung Hu just like Jung Hu…..I will support Ji Chang Wook and Kim Mi Kyung together…"

    Oh dear.

He has my utmost respect. I was going to watch Valid Love live tomorrow but, our puppy's efforts have own me over so I am gonna watch Healer live instead.

♡ I hope others would give healer a try. I see that most have been comparing it to City Hunter. :( And, have given up on the show as it apparently "lacks." For me this show is amazing at the moment. I can no longer remember watching City Hunter (It came out three/fours years ago?) hence, I can't relate the two dramas at all.

JUST CAuse a drama has ACTION SCEnes and, a lead hero who isn't a hero as such and, the most important THE SAME LEAD ACTRESs IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT IT'S A "COPY"... :(

Sorry about my rambling. I just had to let it out after reading the latter post.
