itemprop="name"Lee Min Ho and Suzy are a $30 million power couple
Could they be South Korea's version of Jay-Z and Beyonce?Lee Min Ho and Suzy are at the top of their game in acting and landing lucrative endorsement deals. Lee is expected to be worth $20 million thanks to his global popularity as an Hallyu star. In China alone, the Gangnam Blues actor receives double or triple the pay he would have in his home country. He can make around $3 million annually just modeling apparel, accessories, and jewelry.
Suzy has excelled in K-pop with her chart-topping girl group Miss A, in addition to being an in-demand actress and model. Her nickname is the 10 billion won girl (around $10 million), and she is literally the face of JYP Entertainment. Next to Olympic gold medalist figure skater Kim Yu Na, Suzy Bae is a top star in the entertainment industry with her 30 advertisements and counting since her debut in 2010. The Dream High star has kept herself extremely busy, and she has even modeled for numerous name brands since 2013.
Their popularity actually soared with the recent announcement of their relationship. Lee Min Ho was promoted to be the face of LG Electronics in China, and one of Suzy's advertisement agents actually said business improved since they became an item.
"People don't really care about scandals. They support the artists instead and are very optimistic about it. Even the stars don't deny it and are honest about it," advertisement agent Yoon Seol Hee said.
In the past, some celebrities had a clause in their contracts that penalized them with a fine if they were caught dating another star. Lee and Suzy have surprisingly been accepted by their fans and employers alike.
In my opinion, their combined popularity could propel them into business together. So many celebrity couples in the US collaborate in music and movies. Jay -Z and Beyonce are powerhouses in the music industry, while Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos produce their own TV programs through their company Milojo.

class="at_ttl"YouTube Programs For K-Drama Lovers
The only thing k-drama lovers might like as much as watching their favorite dramas is reading about and discussing every detail. And k-drama lovers also enjoy watching YouTubers who share their passion for the Hallyu. That’s one reason the content provider Dramafever is working with YouTubers to develop programming on their YouTube channel that’s just for K-drama lovers.
Here are a few of the programs they have already started featuring:
“Kdrama LoLs,” also known as Lapses of Logic, is a funny series that makes fun of the ways k-dramas are often not logical. You can love-love-love k-dramas and still find yourself wondering, what are the odds? What are the odds that those two rivals keep eating in the same restaurant as Lee Soo Hyuk and Uhm Tae Woong do in “Valid Love.”
What are the odds that the crippled child is saved by the hero who is really a murderer and also Lee Jong Suk’s brother in “Pinocchio?” And that Park Shin Hye is there to film it? Or does it make sense that his character winds up being fished out of the water by the ex-father-in-law of the woman who ruined his family. Still, you have to love his new family and appreciate the poetic justice.
Also, some times you just have to be really into a k-drama and note that people just don’t do that, whatever that is, in real life. Just for fun, “Kdrama LoLs” adds up the LoL moments in the latest dramas.
Another program k-drama lovers may enjoy is “Fridays with Feiii,” which features makeup tutorials inspired by k-drama actors and actresses in the latest dramas. For example, you can learn the basics of Krystal’s innocent yet alluring look in “My Lovable Girl,” Baek Jin Hee’s casual look in “Pride and Prejudice” or even learn how to give yourself a “Birth of a Beauty” makeover by watching “Fridays with Feiii.” Host Feiii uses easy-to-find cosmetics to achieve these k-celeb looks and shows you how to apply them.
Another program on theYouTube channel is “Street Style Seoul.” On the program Kelly and Kevin conduct street interviews highlighting the fashion seen on Seoul’s streets and talk about how these looks relate to the styles worn by actors on Korean dramas and k-pop celebrities such s G-Dragon.
The content provider has other series in the works including one featuring English K-drama soundtracks, a K-pop/Korean music news show with K-pop YouTubers and DramaFever news.

class="at_ttl"'Pinocchio' Rules In Kdramastars Poll
Wow. That was a big upset in just one polling day. In the kdramastars poll for best drama of the year, "Pinocchio" edged "You Who Came From The Stars" from first place with a whopping 58.61 percent of the vote.
"Pinocchio," which stars Park Shin Hye and Lee Jong Suk, is the day's hands-down favorite.
"You Who Came From The Stars," starring Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun, is no longer even in the same drama league, as today it only commanded 18.96 percent of the vote. "It's Okay, It's Love" came in third with a mere 6.17 percent of the vote, while "Emergency Couple" earned 3.16 percent of the vote.
After that the scores dropped less steeply. "The Night Watchman's Journal" had 2.66 percent and "Doctor Stranger earned 2.36 percent.
And there was a big upset in the Best Actor category too. The first place no longer goes to Kim Soo Hyun, star of "You Who Came From The Stars."
CNBlue's Jung Yong Hwa, the star of "The Three Musketeers," now claims first place with a resounding 43.11 percent of the vote. Kim Soo Hyun has fallen to third place with only 14.57 percent of the vote, while Lee Jong Suk is in second place with 29.51 percent of the vote.
After that it's a sharp drop in percentage. Jo In Sung, the star of "It's Okay, It's Love," is in fourth place with 3.15 percent and Choi Jin Hyuk, who appeared in three dramas this year, has 2.53 percent of the vote.
Less surprising are the results of the Best Actress category. Park Shin Hye, the star of Pinocchio," remains in first place with a score of 63.56 percent. The runners up will have a hard time competing. Jun Ji Hyun, star of "You Who Came From The Stars" only earned 10.9 percent of the vote. She was followed by Gu Hye Sun, star of "Angel Eyes," at 7.7 percent. In fourth place was Song Ji Hyo, star of "Emergency Couple" with 5.11 percent. Gong Hyo Jin, star of "It's Okay It's Love," was in fifth place with 3.52 percent of the vote.
If you are happy with these results, keep voting. Vote every day so your favorite stays on top. If you think the results should be different, vote too. Let us know who you think the year's winners are.

class="content-title" Top Ten K-drama Moments Of The Week – December Week 3
“Pinocchio“: I will lend you my voiceIn Ha has been unable to stand the sight of her mother since learning of her role in ruining Dal Po‘s family. She reaches her breaking point when, during a lecture, her arrogant, unapologetic mother taunts Dal Po from the stage. Knowing that despite his pain, Dal Po will not speak up, In Ha grabs a microphone and becomes his voice. We love that she was able to use the same words that ignited her romantic feelings to protect the man she loves.

class="content-title" Yoon Sang Hyun to Make a Cameo Appearance in “Pinocchio”
A spokesperson for the makers of SBS drama “Pinocchio” has claimed that that actor Yoon Sang Hyun will be making a surprise appearance in a forthcoming episode of the series.
Speaking to media outlet TV Report on December 15, an unnamed broadcast representative revealed, “Yoon Sang Hyun will be making a cameo appearance on the drama. We will be filming with him today.”
Yoon Sang Hyun will reportedly be playing the part of a lawyer called Cha Gwan Woo, and drama fans will recall that he also played the role of a character with the same name and occupation in 2013 SBS drama “I Can Hear Your Voice.”
Since the initial article from TV Report, Yoon Sang Hyun’s agency has confirmed that appearance.
Yoon Sang Hyun is not be the first “I Can Hear Your Voice” star to make an appearance in “Pinocchio.” In November actress Lee Bo Young made a voice cameo in the show, where she played the voice of a satellite navigation system in a taxi. Actor Jung Woong In also made a cameo appearance early in the drama series.

class="content-title" Highlights: “Pinocchio” Episode 9
When I saw that this most recent episode of “Pinocchio” had been posted, I actually started dancing. That’s how overjoyed I was to get to spend another hour in In Ha and Dal Po’s world.
And I wasn’t disappointed. In this episode, Dal Po has to grapple with his conscience, as he finds himself in a situation where telling the truth could condemn the only biological family he has left. Meanwhile, In Ha has some startling revelations about two important people in her life. It’s not a very fun episode for our heroes—but it is a lot of fun for the viewer. That’s the magic of “Pinocchio.”
These were my five favorite scenes from “Pinocchio” episode nine:
1. “I’d find out the truth.”
I’m so happy that Dal Po has a sunbae like Gyo Dong. To me, the great thing about Gyo Dong isn’t just that Dal Po can trust him with the secret of his past (after all, by the end of the episode, Gyo Dong is no longer the only person who knows). What I love about Gyo Dong is that he’s in a position where he can give Dal Po advice. He’s similar to Dal Po in a lot of ways, but he’s older and has more experience, so he can help guide Dal Po through the increasingly confusing waters of his life. Dal Po needs help, and Gyo Dong is there to provide it.
2. Trust is a beautiful thing
I love this couple so much. The thing is that on paper, this scene could have been terrible: the male lead asks the female lead to do something that seemingly goes against her interests, and refuses to tell her why. But in reality, because we know these characters and the depth of their relationship, it’s beautiful. We understand how desperate Dal Po is to keep In Ha safe from Jae Myung, and we know that telling her the truth about his connection with Jae Myung is just too difficult for him right now. Even more importantly, we understand why In Ha decides to trust him, because we’ve seen how much he’s been there for her over the years. It’s a beautiful moment that perfectly demonstrates how much these two love each other.
3. “Do you want an apology from the world, or do you want revenge?”
Jae Myung steps into the limelight in this episode, and while he puts on a kindly face in front of the cameras, his creepy, disturbed, murderous side never actually goes away. In fact, poor Dal Po is the one who gets to see it the most, as Jae Myung clearly doesn’t care about maintaining a front around him. This conversation is especially chilling, as Jae Myung confirms Dal Po’s suspicions about his connection with the disappearance of Moon Duk Soo, and expresses no remorse whatsoever. He wants revenge, he tells Dal Po—not knowing that with those words, he’s breaking Ki Ha Myung’s heart.
4. In Ha is disillusioned, again
This is actually a fantastic episode for Song Cha Ok, as we see her take several halting steps towards a relationship with her adoring daughter. But all of that work is undone when In Ha sees video footage of her mother’s cruelty to Jae Myung 13 years ago (though a part of me wonders how honest Lee Il Joo’s flashbacks were. The video, we can trust—but in the flashback, Lee Il Joo is such a voice of reason, and Cha Ok is so cold, that I really thought he might just be an unreliable narrator). This scene is so gutting; since the beginning of the drama, it’s been established how important physical evidence is to In Ha. Well, now she has physical evidence that her mother has a very faulty moral compass. Cha Ok is a fascinating character, but I can’t help but feel that In Ha deserves a much better mother.
5. “Is your name Ki Ha Myung?”
In Ha knows! In Ha knows who Dal Po is! My favorite part of this scene is her reaction—she just sinks to her knees, as if this one truth is just too much to handle. It’s a great note on which to end the episode.

“Pinocchio“: “It’s cold” means “I love you”
The first thing In Ha does after a speedy recovery from shingles is unleash her anger at Dal Po. But unfortunately for her, every attempt at hurting his feelings is thwarted by her hiccups. She laments her inability to get over him, blaming it on the cold then he surprises her with an emotional back hug and also blames it on the cold. These two are in sync even when they don’t want to be.

class="content-title" Highlights: “Pinocchio” Episode 7
I feel like a broken record—it’s another wonderful episode of “Pinocchio”! In episode seven, Dal Po learns that he is capable of making huge mistakes, and though he’s upset at first, he ultimately proves that he is willing to grow up and become a better person. Meanwhile, In Ha gets her first reporting victory, and it’s wonderfully satisfying.
These were my five favorite scenes from episode seven of “Pinocchio”:
1. Dal Po argues with himself
The entire beginning of this episode, in which Dal Po discovers, too late, that there’s far more to the story of the ajumma who died in the gym than a simple desire to be thin, was so heartbreaking. On the one hand, I’m so happy for In Ha to have this moment of triumph, where she could prove to everyone who doubted her that she can be a good journalist because she is a Pinocchio. And I don’t think it’s the worst thing in the world for Dal Po to have been knocked down a peg, given his earlier cruelty and self-righteousness. But this was still incredibly painful to watch. To see Dal Po realize that he has hurt the ajumma’s daughter in the same way that he was hurt, but purely by accident, was just so wrenching. Worst of all was this scene, in which Dal Po relives the debate from the YGN tryouts—the debate during which he outed In Ha as a Pinocchio, citing her arrogance and thoughtless confidence in her own words as the reason why. But this time, he’s the object of scorn. Even though he tries, he can’t defend himself against himself. It’s a great scene. Here’s hoping that this incident just makes Dal Po a better, more careful reporter in the future.
2. Jang Hyun Kyu, Hwang Gyo Dong, and snakes?
This scene was so bizarre, but I laughed my head off. It turns out that the YGN sunbaes have always been crazy, as we see in this flashback, in which trainee Jang Hyun Kyu brought his father to work to throw snakes on Hwang Gyo Dong. I love how this drama isn’t afraid to be weird, as the weirdness really helps relieve the darkness of the story.
3. Reporter Mom
Speaking of weird: Bum Jo’s mom! I still don’t like Bum Jo (it’s nothing against Kim Young Kwang—I just don’t like the character), but his mother is amazing—funny and outrageous but ultimately kind-hearted. She shows off her compassion in this episode, as she interrogates traffic cops and drunk criminals in the place of In Ha, who has come down with a bad case of the flu. Seeing this woman, in her feathers and furs, alternately bribe and berate policemen in the middle of the night, was just wonderfully strange. I hope we get to see a lot more of this character in the future.
4. The couple that watches each other sleep together, stays together
Last week Dal Po watched In Ha sleep; now it’s her turn to return the favor, as her uncle takes a rest after bringing her to the hospital (it turns out she had shingles, not the flu!). What a lovely, tender scene. I know I keep on saying this, but Park Shin Hye is so good in this role—the wistful longing she displayed in this scene was just so touching. Now if only these two could just look at each other longingly at the same time!
5. Reunion
Jae Myung is, to me, a problematic character. Sure, he seems sweet—but he’s a triple murderer! I wish that we could have spent more time with him before those murders, so that we could better understand just what kind of a person he is. But honestly, this character is most important to this drama in terms of how he effects Dal Po. And in this scene, the two finally meet—and once he hears Jae Myung’s name, Dal Po knows that he’s meeting his hyung for the first time in thirteen years. I’m already scared for how Dal Po will react when he discovers what sort of a man his hyung has become.
I know that I left out a lot of good scenes (this drama is so good that only choosing five scenes every episode is very difficult!), so come to the comments and let us know what your favorites were!
