and i believe u know that most if not all SA fans doesn't want them to be a next loveline

it's just r they prepare for marriage OR it's nothing at all and just really think they do fans services : )

    Oh Np!!

Yeah, I agree about not wanting them to be a loveline. Thing is,  is more often than not, the staff/PDs like to bait us and at the end instead of pot of gold, we more often than not tend to find zilch. If they have taken this route, I hope that the cast is aware of all the consequences- both short-term and long-term. This is especially after the previous week where the captions were absolutely confusing for Jk-SM where the cast called it a "line" while the captions called it 'kook-min siblings". I don't trust the staff of RM at all, and for me to beleive that they have the best interests of JH and Jk at heart is something which I wouldn't bet on either.

I agree with you and hope that everybody involved on RM is going into this with their eyes open.

    another article about Spartace

    http://entertain.naver.com/read?oid=076&aid=0003202867

That article has all its top comments asking them to stop with the loveline, and maligning JH.

As for the article itself, Jh drew JK as a normal guy on her storyboard, unlike YSC and JSM who had drawn him like a buff guy. To that JK said to her that she's nice.

Haha asked "What is this, are you guys dating? Is this a loveline or what?" To that, JK said that it was mindful(of her) and that's nice. The caption after this alluded to last week's fortune telling and said that JK-JH chemistry was like a rice cake(this is a hangul metaphor , so other native speakers can explain it better, xd)

The article further says that in the ep JH mentioned about hearing rumors of her dating JK oppa after last week's episode. To that JSJ said that it is impossble and that to him it would be putting all eggs in 1 basket for Jk and Jh to date.

Whatever the implications I am not comfortable about both JK and JH receiving flak for this.

Edit: Added a link for a Korean to English dictionary translation of the word used in the caption : 찰떡궁합

  3. Running Man to add 2 new cast members

    http://entertain.naver.com/read?oid=076&aid=0003072721

While I really like Jeon So-min, I am not that sure about yang Se-chan. On 1 hand, Jeon So-min is sort of opposite to JH's Ace character, so that will be interesting to see. Plus, she has been on a roll lately, so possibly the ratings might increase too.

I haven't seen Yang Se-chan on any other shows except RM and while he is funny, I am not sure where he will fit in as a character. The cast is already gag-heavy, so this can get confusing and repetitive.

On the other hand, a side of me is also wondering if now JK and JH might transition out of RM in the next few months.

Edit: Article also mentions that Jung Chul-min PD plans more changes as the spring approaches. So yeah, more than likely that some members will be transitioning out and JH, JK will be the ones to leave.

  4. @athoughtcloud1, thanks for tagging me XD. I will help out how much ever I can to the best of my abilities for the Korean captions. And consider me in for the petition too!

And the following is not related to SA but the show itself, so bear with me for a bit lol.

I wanted to add more to this discussion, but you all have said exactly what's on my mind and more. I was expecting the episode to be bad, but not this bad, tbh. No wonder we got so many JK pics for this episode- he wasn't going to show up in the ep at all.

    1. I was/am so so pissed at the opening sequence. JK and JH didn't show up until after 6 minutes- at least Haha and JSJ got a peek in the opening shot. I was actually anticipating the JK-JSJ pairing since they are such an unlikely pair for bromance and thought that the pairing idea was a stroke of brilliance, but I guess i expected too much from the RM team. Also I could have watched hours and hours of JK and JH being naughty dongsaengs to Haha and JSJ. Those 2 seconds where JK was asking for the car and Haha was telling JH to get off the skateboard and be seated were hilarious. No clue why they didn't continue this theme.

    2. I won't recount the unfair judging instances since they are plain to see. Extremely disappointed is all I can say.

Now with the recent news of the plagiarism scandal for the 3rd time, I am waiting for a response from the RM team. This is the one thing they can't push on the cast and have to take responsibility for themselves. Though expecting a strong work ethic from the RM staff is too much to expect I suppose -.-

It just proves that the writer team doesn't have any originality, the editing team lacks finesse and the PD team is openly biased. I watch IC, 1N2D and have watched almost all seasons of 3 Meals A Day. The only thing similar they have with RM is a hard working cast willing to give their all. Trust Na PD to make just cooking three meals and other mundane activities so interesting to watch for 92 minutes using just great bgm, good concepts and captions. Trust the team of 1n2d to make even the most simple games interesting. Trust IC to use everything of the cast they can get their hands on - strengths, weaknesses, everything is used.

All these shows are so self aware- unlike RM. All 3 shows have even given characters to their PDs- even the new one on 1n2d. IC even makes an episode very other year on falling ratings- that's how aware they are. The comments on the show are taken seriously, every weakness in the ep is acknowledged and made fun of later. How many times have we seen RM do this- except the "I am sorry" episode? It is actions like these which make me think if the team is even bothered about the falling ratings or even has any intention to change things.

The only positive note I can end on this- things can only go up from here -  and I don't think RM can sink any lower than it has done by now. Hoping that the staff will take a step back and look at the bigger picture and help the cast to shine.

Is JH turning into her possibly seductress character in 'My Wife'? LOL Or is it that she has this closeted flirty self which comes out now and then? That was so LOL. Out of nowhere, she parts the boys and makes her way to the front, lies down, pats her waist once, then does the 'come hither' gesture with an equally scandalous look to the dumbstruck chiropracter!  The guys were all so taken aback!  Even Kwang Soo treats her like a dongsaeng when she does these things. I hope we get to see more of this funny side of JH in the coming episodes. If they want to, can't they play with this? It was hilarious to see JK springing up from the couch after seeing JH unleash her seductress self. After seeing KS give a demonstration of that moment again (some of which he missed since he was nursing his back), he was making sure she didn't venture out of the couch any further.

I am pretty sure it came off as accidentally seductive once the guys noticed her pose. She meant that she wanted to get the massage where YJS and the other guys got it - on their waist , since once she was deposited onto the couch she kept saying she wanted to get it done too. The guys realized how weird it looked an immediately chastised her - something like LKS trying to wipe off tea off JH's dress or YJS trying to drive away a bug off Park Na-rae. Still the way JK got up immediately after sitting down was hilarious lol.

  6. I think a major chunk of this episode which has a lot to do with the disappointment of lack of any SA moments is the scripting. The opening scene was so blatantly scripted, I was actually laughing because of that rather than the episode itself. If it helps, JK was talking a lot of JH's song choices in the beginning. I won't expand on that right now, but here goes

As Myuk PD said in the beginning, the couples were to be decided on the basis of fate. I found the couple selection a parody of fate tbh.

    1. As the 3 remaining ladies- Ji-hyo, Mi-joo and Sa-yeon give their items: a pair of socks, ear-rings and a small fan respectively, and the items are sent down in a tray. YJS takes the tray in his hands, and the 1st thing he says pointing at the socks is "Aren't those JH's?" . He then goes over to the 3 remaining guys- JK, LKS and KG. JK toys  with the fan and YJS considers that as his final choice. This is a common variety occurrence, so I am not bothered with this. He then hands over the studs to LKS and the socks to KG. I thought it would be based on a random choosing? I don't care if attempted to create a loveline between Mi-joo and LKS- a loveline which was never even highlighted in the episode later, but still- that is not a random selection, lol.

    2. The 3 ladies join the rest of the cast Sa-yeon, Mi-joo and JH in that order with JH standing next to JK. KG remarks that he wishes it weren't JH. JH gives it right back saying that she too would have liked to be with a different person. YJS agrees with her saying JH feels the same way. KG then switches his words saying that JH wouldn't be bad after all since his heart is comfortable now (whatever that means). JK-Sayeon are paired off and JH jumps over to KG. JK's reaction is cut, but we see on the side that he is more absorbed with trying to tease LKS. He did say something around then, but I couldn't get the audio. All the while, the captions are going, "Don't misunderstand", "Family like relation is comfortable"..... Haha immediately says "Try starting again", and YJS says to KG that JH is liking this a lot(when she said a few minutes ago that she would like someone else) and the caption switches to (Ex) MC's Strong ties continue and question of this couple will rekindle again. KG then asks JH if they should start again, a question which clearly annoys JH, but then that shot is cut and we a smiling MC.

    3. The last game with nametag tearing. I knew from the moment I heard the rules that JH and KG were going to win since they have been tearing nametags for so many years. They know when to form an alliance, when to break it and are pretty good at it too. So the win was not a surprise for me, tbh. They also tried to project MC as a power couple and while that is partly true, I always associated that title with SA even as a non-shipper. So I don't know where they are going with this.

As usual, I have a problem with the consistency alone. I don't mind KG and JH in 1 team- they have been friends for 7 years and it would be weirder for them not to interact at all. But hints at MC starting again are really puzzling, and frankly irritating. They are clearly going back on their stance, and this time even between a few minutes. This might be for the pharma cf, might be for the SBS awards (since I don't see RM attending the 2017 year end awards as a show) or other different reasons. Regardless, the question is out in the open and with the ratings not moving an inch from last week's I now wait to see what ploy RM will use in the next few weeks.

  7. Thoroughly done with tricks SBS is pulling. I am pretty sure, that they will bring back MC in some form or the other. they won't use the words "Monday Couple" per se, but they will use suggestive captions.

@lostinthisdream, they haven't used "MC", but they have written "Gary and Song ji hyo are having a secret conversation". The point is not them having a conversation, I don't even mind them posting pics of the 2. But note that the 2 are in different teams. Unless the 2 are acting as spies for the whole episode, I don't see why they should have a 'secret' conversation. To me, it looks like a ploy to get in more viewers. Which leads me to my questions/possible scenarios:

    1. It is no secret that the Korean viewers don't believe in the loveline. It would be really surprising if the staff didn't know that. Does this mean that they decided to continue the loveline, but approaching it in completely different way thinking that that they can bring back the viewers? While, frankly, I don't give the staff that much credit(if they were that creative, RM could have been saved long ago)

    2. If JH has signed the drama to be aired in October, and along with the ban in China, I am more doubtful about the FMs in China. Plus whatever are remaining, KG won't be attending them. Then, is it possible that they are trying to squeeze in as much MC as they can before the year end- maybe attempt bagging another best couple award?

    a. If they are truly planning to end MC by the end of this year, since the pharma cf contract also ends this year, it makes sense. I have no clue, if they would  extend the contract next year too. If they do, then tough luck for us.

    b. If they aren't, I just don't get the consistency. I mean, just a few days ago, Gary said, MC is over. Both JH and Gary have been more vocal than the previous years about how they are colleagues. Either they should have kept it alive after the Dubai episode rather than provide all the scientific proof and then sort of go back on it time and again. it is to be noted that MC has never been booted off completely. Their interactions have become lesser, but even then once in a while, we do get captions of that sort. And the positions of the members is sometimes indicative of the same.

    3. We are just done with the JK-Soo Ae loveline, and now we have this and the couple episode next week - in which I am guessing, even LKS will have a loveline of sorts. Does this mean, that they are bringing in the loveline concept as a whole?

So many questions, lol. But regardless, I am not at all impressed at whatever they seem to be attempting. I get that one can't please all fans at the same time, but is this really necessary? Do they really think that the ratings can be brought up this way? Also, where does this leave SA?

Thank you @chelseafjl8 I was also wondering about this. On baidu, there are so many discussions around this, but the meaning of the two sentences in the chinese and english translations are so different. I too think I heard 'Ji Hyo' around 36.46 s, but is it something else? I checked SA naver, but only two posts on this episode are there and yet haven't seen any discussions on SJ's statement. So I am really confused.

    Can anybody confirm @androkia91, @airplanegirl @bidovacsb?

I finally watched the clip, lol. While I had initial doubts about JSJ saying JH's name, I asked a korean shipper on IG, she confirmed it as him saying he sings the song always with JH.

    To quote her:

JSJ : 얘 맨날 지효랑 이 노래 불러

Translation : He always sings this song with JH.

She also said that this might be when they go to noraebangs (karaokes).

  9. Was pleased to see JK's neice's post. So we can assume that maybe it was a dinner among close friends? And maybe also discussed Mikey's appearance on RM? Looking her post caption she seems to say that she hitched a ride with her uncle i.e. JK. So even if we consider this being a purely business meeting, it can have easily turned into a casual one. I just hope that fans don't crowd her IG forcing her to make it private and asking her questions about JH.

@linzer03 ,@athoughtcloud1 thank you for all your analyses.I read all the posts diligently and it's really good to see that we are discovering more and more "under-the-cover" moments we hadn't seen before, and its is good to reaffirm that we have not been crazy for shipping this couple for years lol. All the evidences are credible and yet not overly delusional since we can all be trusted to keep our feet on the ground when it comes to SA. Also, for the pepero game when it was JK's turn, when he said asked that why was everybody looking at him, I think JH remarked that why he was feeling awkward since HYS was 15 (or 14?) - but she definitely pointed out the age gap) years younger - that definitely points out to him being uncomfortable.

  10. What I am afraid of is this : they bring back a little bit of MC in RM to facilitate the MC in the fanmeets. They still had that random Halyang cap on JH for the 1st game in the RM vs Avengers episode. Not to mention the captions we get whenever JH and KG interact (the PSH episode, also the Yeo Jin-gu episode). The CF contract will probably end towards the end of this year, and they might also try to to squeeze out another award for MC in the SBS awards like they did last time.

I am actually surprised that they have as many as 9 fanmeets. Considering how busy LKS is going to be with 2 new dramas and how JK has the US tour, his Chinese song, Turbo comeback, guest appearance in Chinese variety, RM and Welcome Show, I doubt they can have all 7 in 1 FM tbh. While I do expect LKS to attend every one of them, YJS's schedule will probably allow for only 1 FM, and with JK's crazy schedule, I really, really hope that we don't have an FM where there is no JK.

About the size, I agree @linzer03, that the SA ship is a lot bigger than we give credit for, and also that it is only growing. However, the MC fanbase is pretty big too, and still has strong footholds in China and other SEA countries despite JK, JH and KG being popular individually too. Not to forget how many of the admins of the RM fanbases are MC shippers themselves. In this regard, we can split it up into 4 types of fanbases:

    1. KG's fans : almost all of them are MC shippers if not all.

    2. RM fans : Neutral in the basic sense, but do enjoy M* interactions- but they are fine without it too.

    3. JH's fans: Now here, a lot of people became JH's fans because of MC and a lot many became her fans because of the Ace character ( I don't know of many fans who were her fans before RM as well). In her case, while they might have liked MC in the past, they are now tired of it. WGM with CB gave JH fans another chance to view JH minus her RM and MC baggage. This made a lot of her fans fine with anybody, but there is also quiet a few who are tired of any and all lovelines - be it SA or M* or Kwangmong. Whatever be the case, my main gripe with say JH's DC is that they were not vocal enough when it mattered- or rather when RM kept bringing back M* and JH wasn't given screen-time nor opportunities to showcase herself on RM.

    4. JK fans : I think JK's fans are fine with anybody he chooses as long as he is happy, but I have noticed a lot of M* fans who hate the idea of SA become either JK-Y** shippers or ship JK with any homo sapien who is not JH. Then there are the original JK-Y** shippers too, though not a significant number.

All in all, yes SA is the biggest ship after MC, despite it not being promoted in the show (and sometimes discouraged, I might add). And that's why the popularity of our couple surprises me every time. Also, the general trends are that people do migrate from M* to SA, and those who do leave the SA ship don't go back to MC, rather just refrain from any shipping, lol. And if they do have long-term plans for RM, i would like to believe out of sight out of mind, for M* which will generate more neutral fans, which would only be beneficial if JK and JH are truly dating.

Also, @dragonlovers I've been confused about MC too. This episode, they showed LKK talking about SJH as a part of MC in the beginning, bu then he said she should have a loveline with LKS (What did everyone think of that? My reaction was: of course, it's never KJK.). It's a funny joke (that'd be the most awkward love line around), but I was frustrated that the staff had to show so much of LKK's opinions on MC. They clearly cut his comments about KG and KJK, so why couldn't they have trimmed down his comments about MC, why did they have to include him talking about SJH forcing the love line (which we all know she doesn't do). I feel like the PD was perfectly willing to end MC when he first started, but now that the ratings aren't improving, he's falling back on old characters.

@linzer03 the viu subs were actually a bit inaccurate and more in favor of M*. The literal translation of what LKK said was that SJHssi and K*ssi- the loveline looks forced. SJH-sshi should go crazy and suddenly start liking LKS. That will spice things up."

The words he used : 억지 러브라인  통해서 literally translates to forced through loveline. He didn't say who does it, just said, JH-sshi and K*-sshi

Just thought to put it out there- maybe any native korean speaker can confirm?

Hi, welcome to the forum! All SA couple updates are available here as well on Instagram!

As for the polls, unfortunately, this year's contest is over- and we won! However, any further contests for which our ship is eligible will be looked into and posted here as well.

  13. I do have the most of the translations (rough) for the Jk-JH battle at least:

Caption: Even if JH is the ace, a confrontation with Kookie...

JSJ to JH : JH-ya, don't think of anything else, his right hand is weaker after the arm wrestling

Haha to JH: No, you can do it

Caption for JH: let's give it a try

    YJS to JH: JH-ya, fly!!

    Caption: Commander vs Ace

JH hits JK and JK hits her back. JH falls.

YJS to JK : Aah, really

Caption: haven't understood yet, but it meant something close to "a small protest"

Next caption: This hyung really has no mercy

    LKS to JK: Woah, JK-hyung

YJS to JH: JH-ya, hold it in

LKS: Woah, JK-hyung is a different man.

JK says JH-ya, before she hits him with the pillow and pulls her into a hug (I was screaming during the live broadcast at this point, lol)

Caption: You, understand my heart, right? Jh-ya, sorry, sorry(and a heart sign at the end)

Caption:  Mode switched from manner guy to Relentless fighter

JSJ : JK's concept has changed

YJS: that was cold, that was cold

Haha : JH-ya, sorry, sorry (@athoughtcloud1, you  were asking about this, I think?)

By the way I still don't get the sunscreen thing in ep 152. Does someone want to explain it to me? The way I see it, KJK was making the same joke he did about all the items--that they weren't a big deal--and YJS was exasperated with KJK when they reached the sunscreen thing.

Yeah, it wasn't anything significant. However, YJS hardly expresses his exasperation this way- he is usually vocal about it like he was when the item picking ended. Also that any Yoo-kook quarrel never goes unnoticed also with YJS and KJK always at each throats. I would have expected a more vocal exasperation from YJS, especially since it was JK. Plus, immediately after that JSJ looks a bit surprised and turns to look at the staff/PD/camera. Later, Jk also starts talking on how they quickly need to select the item and immdiately asks to HHJ to choose for their team.

Attaching the gif ( also including the moment before where JH turns back to JK to ask if he is okay "Oppa, Gwenchanayo?"- said, but neither captioned nor subbed)

  15. Maybe JK just needed a reference to an episode he could easily remember. It was a very smart choice to make, tbh, since I tend to the same when I have to remember stuff about the older RM episodes, XD. Once you know that an episode you remember has a number to it ( I can see JK easily remembering the Avengers episode, since it was memorable and he himself was dealing with an injury around that time).

So once he knew that the Avengers episode was ep 150, he could try to jog his memories to around what happened that time, so he thought he had a better off chance in remembering stuff about an episode which was already in his mind by then. Also, ep 151 was directly filmed a day before ep 152, in which JK had his gaffe about the sunscreen thing with YJS and JSJ so obviously flustered.

Or he could have made a conjecture that most of the football match episodes were around the 100, 150, 200 mark and since it would be easier for him to answer a question on a football match, he could have chosen that episode. Regardless, I was amazed at how he remembered those 108 cameras.

Thank you. Oh yes, how can I ever forget Jae Suk's tragicomic soliloquy that revolved around his 'ma-eum', 'What about my heart? Who is going to clean the dirt off my heart" in episode 209!:D Can you please give me the full sentence that JH uses here?

Removing the rest of the quote so that the page doesn't take longer to load

@athoughtcloud1, the full sentence was 마음의 준비 하시죠?

    마음의: Heart/mind

    준비 : prepared/ready

하시죠: a conjugation of the verb 'do'

While I am unsure exactly which conjugation she did use( there are 2 other similar sounding ones), I am pretty sure about the 1st 2 words and that the main root verb is "do". Hope that helps!

  17. About the on/off game, when it was JK's turn, JH asked him in a different way. Her words can literally be translated to : Is your heart ready?. And it can also mean, "Have you made up your mind?"

The word which JH used: 마음 (ma-eum) is used both for mind and heart (any native korean speakers can confirm? Since, I have seen this word be used as heart also in many kdramas). Regardless, it was different than what she said for others. The variation could also be her MC-ing, but just thought to put this out here :)
