    Hi Sunnies,

     

    Thanks sis @gelisacarras for writing & for the Korea Herald’s article :wub:  It has been quiet lately on our forum!  Yes, the virus situation is affecting everyone in a big way.  And generally, life is really stressful.  I’m in Northern California and it’s been very bad with the devastating fires and very bad smoke pollution for the last 2-3 weeks.  Extreme weather caused by global warming is a really critical issue in my mind!!

     

    Fortunately, things are calming down a bit.  Like sis @gelisacarras, I also am very fortunate to be able to get/afford Breath 3 on ITunes.  All the songs are very nice but my favorite song is “For You”.   Do you know my favorite time to listen to Koo’s compositions?  I did this with all the prior released albums.  I’d listen to them on Sunday evenings when I’m ironing & folding my laundry – haha with nothing much on my mind & I’m able to enjoy the music.  Anyway, listening to the song “Dream”, I remembered an old Youtube video of GHS playing that song.  Well, if you have time to go back to a time long ago of sweet memories -BOF.

    Last week I also went back to listen to her songs on Breath 2 & watched our Koo on Koo's Diary on CHIBi TV.  She really love those kids of hers and they in turn love her.  I'm grateful that we have those videos to get a glimpse of who Koo is.

     

    Anyway, I hope others will share more thoughts.  I’m so happy for our Koo, seeing her active doing things she loves- kudos to her agency, Mimi Entertainment.  Looking forward to her video “Studio KHS”.  She really Go, Go, Go – very energetic, like the beginning part of her song “Me”- haha.  Take good care Sunnies

    Pray that all is well.  It's esp. scary for high risk group ("older" >50 yo) during this Corona Virus Pandemic time.

    Hi Sunnies,

     

    Its' been a long while :mellow:  Thanks to our faithful sis @gelisacarras & others for keeping our GHS forum going :wub:

    As in my case & most probably with other Sunnies as well, LIFE, a lot of times keep us not only physically busy but

    also mentally occupied.  For now, things have settled down some for me so I'll write to say hello & share my thoughts.

    I was going to write back in Feb; then the Corona Virus happened and our world really turned upside down, didn't it?

     

    I hope all is well and not posting bc you are just busy with life :)   Here are some of my thoughts right now -

    ready for my bullet points - haha!

     

    1) So thrill about where our Koo is at- she seemed to have gotten past the "nightmare".  She has done a lot since then.

    I loved the time when she was in London- it seemed like she had a really positive experience, interacting with her classmates.  Traveling & meeting people with different cultures can really open up your world, on how you see things.  Sis @personaltasty  did say "traveling is equivalent to living twice"; us Vietnamese has a similar saying too <3

     

    2) Our Koo has kept going, building a new life for herself.  She went through the most crazy situation, learned from it, miraculously kept positive and moved on.  That's really something amazing, a real blessing- I really thank God above!  

     

    3) We got to see her again with the press conf at her exhibition- Yeah!  And she looks amazing with the recent photo shoot/filming.  So happy to see that one pic (instagram with caption "I'm filming") is getting almost 203k likes/hearts, which means she still has a lot of fans :wub:

     

    4) Sis @cheerkoo has her own reason for not posting.  Sis @Germania Meneses, I feel that you've overstepped when you said, "..I think she turned her back on Koo".   That's a strong statement; I wish you would be more careful with your words.  I feel that sis cheerkoo will feel really hurt if it's not true. 

    We don't know her reason(s).

     

    5) Last July, I was ACTUALLY in Korea and was able to go to GHS exhibition.  I was going to post, but then the horrible divorce news came.  Anyway, now I want to share a couple pics.  On the floor of the exhibition room, it has a human footprint and a doggie's footprint.  I added mine - so clever, right?

    I hope what she means is that we won't be hearing from her for a while- not until she finally

    Koo also showed the prologue (a sort of introduction) of her new book.  It's nice to see her acknowledge her fans- meaning that fans' supports are making a difference :wub:    Pray that she continues to recover, takes good care of herself and be surrounded by family & friends and not isolate herself!  Fighting Koo!  We love you!

    Hi everyone,

     

    So relieve to see Koo posting on IG again - it means she's trying to move forward.

    And even more happy seeing all the good news- top ranking of her novel and her

    decision to have it translated to Indonesian.  I'm really perplex why Koo doesn't have

    her books translate to English.  It seems to me that there are a lot of International fans

    that are dying to read her stories but we cannot :(   Maybe, she hasn't found an English

    writer/translator that she likes??   What do you guys think?  How can we make it happen??

     

    Anyway, we can try to let Koo know how badly we want to read her stories via an English version.

    Sis @gelisacarras has a comment on Koo's latest IG post about translate novel to Indonesian- 

    requesting an English version; let's try to increase # of 'like' on that request.  It's currently at 100,

    shall we aim for 500?  Here I go again - must say that I had tried many times before with not great

    result!!  But I'll keep trying when I can and who knows ....  Hahaha!

    Hi Sunnies,

     

    Happy to see many posted to support our beloved Koo- but under such distressing situation :tears:

    Agree with the many well-expressed thoughts of others –  you guys write so well  :)

    Just want to add a few thoughts-

     

    1)     On GHS’s actions

    Sis @sheherizade3  wrote “Instead of lamenting what GHS should or shouldn't have done and feeling sad and lost, we should be celebrating her coming out to fight for truth, her bravery amidst all the hate thrown upon her notwithstanding the effect it would have on her career and personal life.”

    @mel22 wrote “AJH and his company underestimated Koo's tenacity and spunk.  They probably thought Koo would just let things slide in silence even if she was maligned with half-truths and lies.  Big mistake! “

     

    Initially, I was worried about Koo’s mental state for doing such drastic actions but after reading wise words from GHS fans, I agree with others that she knows what she was doing.  She needed to say her truth- she couldn’t bear not to do it!!  Just as in BOF, instinctively, Jandi had to stand up bully Jun-pyo (shoving the ice cream in his face), or land that flying kick to that other guy who mistreated her BFF. 

     

    That’s our GHS!!  Dear Koo - we are inspired by you, we'll stand behind you, support you & cheer you on!!

     

    She did what she needed to do and let the chips fall where they may – and thank God, there is justice and logic in S Korea, they landed in the right places.  1) Knetz, Inetz and intern. fans are supporting Koo and even being inspired by her.  2)Ahn is getting the consequences of his actions!

     

    2)     On Ahn Jae Hyun

    I think his feelings for Koo at the beginning was real and he wasn’t scheming.  But his actions toward the end showed that he’s just a very immature, irresponsible & seemingly “cunning” at times (doing things to advance his career).  In the final analysis, the marriage failed bc his & Koo’s thinking of the meaning of a marriage is a major mismatch.  He talks a good talk (about marriage) but the real Ahn isn’t so!   In a recent interview, Koo said Ahn wants the “falling in love” feelings and her thinking is really different from that.  That’s life- many marriages don’t work out.  Maybe there’s a positive to the really terrible ending-> it’s easier for GHS to be done with him!

     

    Ahn is definitely wrong in many ways and will pay for his mistakes but I hope he comes through ok- learn from it & not carry ill-will.  I think Koo would want that as well.  Why? bc she’s a decent & wise person.  Ill feelings will eat you up! 

     

    3)     Moving forward 

    Sis @gelisacarras wrote “But the most I appreciate is that the majority of the people, Knetz and Inetz are supporting her.  She is now living a very dark moment, but eventually, she will acknowledge that it was the best for her.”

    I pray that God will help her to be strong, to know that what she did was good and not to be too sad for too long.  Pray that her family, friends and fans will be able to help her through this most difficult life trial.

    Hi Sunnies,

     

    Koo is full of surprises- parasailing, diving and now sky diving - WoW!  She's certainly is very interesting.

    Hi bro @obbor4  :)   She's over-coming her fears - I'm wonder if she's preparing to do something she's

    not comfortable doing??  In general, I so happy that Koo is reaching out & updating her fans via Instagram. 

    Did you see the latest post- Mango (?) sitting on her artwork and Ahnjoo is showing up in the background AGAIN,

    but getting his presence known- haha!   I love Ahnjoo; I think he's hilarious!!


    BIFAN event - I got so excited the night of the VLIVE event but forgot that's it's in Korean (no subtitles).  @junding2009,

    it was still super cool, right :)  I was hoping for subtitles a few days later like Koo's last VLIVE (Dark Yellow)

    but I could not find it on VLIVE??   Thanks goodness for the xportnews article & for your translation sis @cheerkoo so that we

    can understand a little of her current feelings about film making.  It's so awesome to hear that she's still

    want to make films and want to understand audience's feedback to improve her film making.  

     

    Really wish somehow Int. fans can access/watch her movies, Dauder, Mystery Pink, Deep Sleep.  Does anyone

    know how/where I can watch Mystery Pink.  Excited for her upcoming endeavors.  Fighting Koo!!

    Hi Sunnies,

     

    I’m so excited seeing Koo posted in English- Thank you Koo.  Hope it means that she's thinking of

    International fans :D  A direct communication with fans - a glimpse of her thoughts on LOVE -

    Victory?  Interesting - wonder what that means?  Like finding Love is like a victory in life?

    I can understand pride, respect and innocence  - love that signature pic - that's so Koo & hubby :tongue:

     

    The post is sorta like in poetic form - I really love her recent poems.  Really happy she's posting

    a lot, connecting with fans, esp. with the many pics of paintings she did over the years.   She posted

    those right after the post of the Dolls from all her dramas - "The time we met.  The days we love" 

    Sharing with her journey - her dramas, her art, her music, her life- Lovely :wub: 

     

    Hope she's doing well and in high spirit.  With Brother-In-Law by her side, I do feel better.  Before, I/we

    would feel sad & worried when time in between her dramas are long!   Fighting Koo!

    Sorry, it's been a long while - feeling bad leaving mostly sis @cheerkoo & @kooswan for holding down the fort :|

    I had been really busy bc I had started coaching a high school Badminton team.  Will try to chime in more

    with the conversations :wink:    Praying for great drama news for Koo very soon - Fighting Koo!

     

    So love Koo's poems -  the one about not wanting to travel bc not wanting to leave them behind.  I think it's her kids/pets. 

    One doesn't feel that bad leaving a partner bc he/she can take care of themselves.  But in term of your kids or pets, they

    do need you more - just my two cents.  Just went back & saw that title of that poem is indeed "Pets"!

     

    Also love her description,  One gentle male kid who is just tall. One female kid who is sensitive and ferocious.

    Ha ha - She sees herself as ferocious!  I see it & feel it in clips when she manage her pets at meal time.  That's one

    tough sergeant!!  

     

    Lastly,  "The tall male kid is the keeper of the lighthouse."   Sis @cheerkoo, you are our thread's lighthouse, always

    guiding us through, setting the directions of our conversations - million thanks sis :wub:

     

    On the DC-GHS' Dolls Project, there was a delay in Koo's manager in getting the present to Koo.  But finally it did

    happened and sis Evergreen uploaded pics -   The dolls are so very cool!

    The second post shows pics of International & Korean Sunnies sending Love & Cheer hand-written letters to Koo :wub:

    In total we were able to get 16 or so hand written letters from International Sunnies.  It's not a big number but we made

    earnest efforts and truly hope that Koo feel a little uplifted by our love & admiration.  Many thanks to sis Evergreen for 

    the opportunity and all your work to make it happen.  Also, a big thank you to Sunnies who wrote letters. Yeah for team work!

     

    FYI - Google Translation on second DC-GHS  post  - relating to Cheer Letters 

    The messages of the new year,
Hand letters from overseas fans such as USA, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Peru typed in a 
common phrase "Always love and support Koo" in the envelope.

The messages of fans from Korea and abroad cheering for the celebration of the exhibition 
and the new start were impressive. I believe that the sincere heart of 횽 will be a great strength for Koo.

    Happy to see Koo being active and courageously doing her things.  I feel that it's not an easy thing to do-
    for a big name like hers to do these current events, which seem small, not so glamorous or profitable.   

    But that is exactly the point!  She's doing it bc she wants to connect with people, to share her art/work, or

    even in general, sharing Art!   And just to keep going, being positive & finding meaning in all your work.  

    I am INSPIRED!!  Fighting Koo!!   Doing what one finds meaningful, that's what brings happiness, imo :tongue: 

    Optimistically, I think the Korean public now know & appreciate the gem that Koo Is!!!

     

    Sorry about the yabbering - here's more - haha!  Some updates about the Love/Support Letters project.

     

    We had about 16 hand-written letters sent to sis Evergreen- a lot of Sunnies dropped out of Soompi.  That's

    not a lot but still, I hope Hye Sun-ssi will know how much her fans admire her and will be energized a little :wub:     

     

    On that note, we now will take Love/Support Letters via email.   I thought we ran out of time for real mails but

    there's still time for emails.  Sunnies, sis @macaronsandsakuratea - please join to send Koo love & encouragements.

    Hi Sunnies,

     

    Some updates on our "GHS Support/Love Letters" project -

     

    Finally, we got the ok from sis Evergreen to mail letters to her- we had a little trouble with communications.

    But she is super nice, patience & supportive.  She said "Good Luck" to us :D

     

    So things finally got rolling- finally, Sunnies from US, Vietnam, Latin America are writing now.  I'm still awaiting words

    from Malaysia, Indonesia, HK, India, Pakistan & Middle East.  I don't have any contact for Sunnies from the Philippines.

    Please, any Sunnies from the Philippines can participate?  Please don't be shy.  In writing, you're just sharing your warm, 

    positive & encouraging thoughts to someone dear to you - just like how you already are doing on Soompi :)

    Thanks @whs84 and sis @cheerkoo for the translation of Koo's Podcast.  I got a little confuse - Hye Sun-ssi's part doesn't start until about 20 min into the podcast.  It's a relief to finally hear that familiar, beloved voice, esp. her laugh though her laughter does feel like guarded :|

     

    Some updates on the Cheer On project.   @cheerkoo - the plan is to get hand-written letters/cards from more "hard-core" fans from different countries to send the letters directly to sis Evergreen.  Right now, things are not going well :[

    I emailed sis Evergreen a few days ago asking for her address and I have not heard back from her.  In addition, the "hard-core" Sunnies that I was counting on, those I had worked with before, do not visit Soompi much anymore.  I had tried to contact them through PM (Private Message) without luck- only you, bro @robbo4 and @Carmel1 had read my message.  I will need do more work to contact them.  Sis @gelisacarras @Ariana27 @dee_dina - please check your PM asap.

     

    Can any Sunnie who are now active participate?  @kooswan, @Rain Song, @FebieR@germaniameneses16 @angelface88 ?  We don't have that much time- about 1 month till Jan 9 and I'm thinking that regular mail will take about 2 weeks to get to SK.   Please, please do join us in this effort - PM me asap

     

    I plan to get a nice card & start write my letter NOW and hopefully soon will get sis Evergreen's address to mail it out. 

    @cheerkoo @robbo4 @Carmel1 - can you guys do the same- start writing right away! 

     

    Again, the idea is to write GHS-  to cheer her on about her acting & dramas.  In each of our own way,  write however you feel that will make Koo feel encouraged & give her strength - tell what her drama(s) had meant to you, how much fans/you enjoyed/were entertained/learned from her drama(s),  praise her performance, efforts & courage, and so on! 

     

    OK - Let us get this project rolling - Fighting Koo !!  Fighting Sunnies!!

    FYI - Sis Evergreen said yes to my asking to send her love/support letters to be given to GHS

    along with the Dolls present.  I will now try to communicate and get a few Sunnies from different

    countries to write these letters.  Please, if you're want to write a letter to cheer on Hye Sun-ssi regarding

    her acting & past dramas, please PM me asap.  Hope I will get enthusiastic responses - Fighting!!!

     

    Thanks sis @cheerkoo for the translation - once again, it reminds us what difficult time Koo has with

    acting - let's do what we can to give her encouragements :wub:

    @Ariana27 sis - @cheerkoo had informed us that DC-GHS was able to collect enough for the Dolls Project (a few posts back)

    so they're not collecting anymore.

     

    I'm still trying to ask Evergreen of DC-GHS if we can send letters to her and to have them given to GHS along with the Dolls present.  If she says yes then I think we should do the following:

     

    1) have a few fans from each country write the supporting/love letters then send to Evergreen.

     

    2) Then, later on after Hye-Sun-ssii get the present, we can try to get more fans involved by writing message of love & support (specifically to her acting & drama) on her next Instagram post- hopefully it's somehow related to the Doll present!!

     

    For example, right now, on average her posts get ~20k hearts and 500-600 comments.  We can make a "call out" to fans (FB, Twitter) to get the counts UP => 53k hearts (53k followers) and  something like 2000 messages.

     

    There I go with the "Math" thing again - an inside joke for those that know my old posts :tongue:

    Hi sis @cheerkoo - the thinking is that Koo needs a confidence boost specifically in the area of her acting & drama.  Hence, DC-GHS thought of the Dolls present. So if we write her, it would be encouraging words relating her acting/dramas.  I just thought it would be nice to have the love letters be included with the Dolls present.

     

    But perhaps, the Dolls present would be enough?  Also, logistically- it's probably be not enough time & too difficult to get REAL mails in such a short time & during the busy holiday season.  Maybe, we still can gather fans' encouragements (from diff countries) relating to her acting & dramas and DC-GHS can print them out to be included with the present!   At least these sentiments can be communicated through and they would be on paper (but not hand-written) :D   I'll email sis Evergreen to see what she thinks.

     

    Hi sis @Carmel - Yeah,  you're starting to play Koo's music- so envious of you :wub:     Ready to lead the charge of Koo's 2018 BD "Musical Celebration Project" -Haha!!!

    Hi Sunnies,

     

    Let's participate in the GHS' Dolls Cheer On project - I had just made a contribution!!!

     

    Though I had contributed to the recent BD effort but decided to do it again bc I feel it's a timely

    effort that can really cheer GHS on & give her strengths in pursuing acting projects.   GHS had

    expressed feeling insecure about her acting in the recent interview and we know all too well the

    reasons- antis & their unfounded criticisms throughout many years, recent setbacks with URTM &

    Legendary Tycoon.

     

    GHS can really use our encouragements right now.  So, for those who can afford to chip in - please do so NOW!

    I, myself won't be afford to participate in another $ project for long while :[ but this one is worth it!

     

    The upcoming Mystery Pink event is a really great opportunity to connect with her, to show her our unending supports.   Recently, she made efforts to connect with us fans- through Instagram, through writing/making her books, responding to fans' requests for music sheets of her music- I had wished for a book with her art work/drawings :)     So let's really welcome her back in a big way!!

     

    In fact, in addition to the Doll Project, I think we should do a Love Letter project like we'd done a long while ago-

    Fans sending in hand-written (yes, handwritten) love/cheering notes and they can even be included with the dolls??  GHS loves real mails - old-fashioned way & analog things, right?

     

    Can we do it Sunnies?  Calling GHS Fan Union - can we get fans all over - US, Canada, South America, India, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, China, Taiwan, HK, Middle Eastern countries, Europe, and many other countries, to send their love & encouragements?

    Hi Sunnies,

     

    Yes, LOVE that GHS' Instagram post of the sticker.  It's like on the Ellen Show (American's Ellen Degeneres)

    with Ellen saying "Right back at you" when the audience show her such love & admiration- clapping & hollering!

     

    GHS is saying to Fans "You are beautiful & she is thankful for her Fans" - So clever & Super Cool, right?

    Can't wait for the "Read Out Loud" Book event when we get to hear Koo talk about her new books.  I wish she can

    do another VLive event like for Dark Yellow- maybe in Jan/Feb Mystery Pink Exhibition.  I was super thrilled with

    the last VLive event :lol:

     

    So Happy to see Koo being more active  :wub:     Fighting GHS!!!

    Whooaaa, what a cool surprise to see GHS's new book releases.  I feel that in her own way she's connecting with her fans

    by the timing of the release- it's like a present to her fans - she has done this before :wink:   So excited to get the books- I hope

    international fans will be able to.  Hey Sunnies out there - those that can play piano (sis @Carmel ) or other musical instruments,

    try to learn Sun's pieces and maybe next year for her BD, we can have recordings/videos of Sunnies playing her songs- I''ll practice

    singing her songs in Korean- Haha :tongue:     We'll do it - it'll be fun !!!

     

    Thanks sis @kooswan for always finding/bringing the latest news of Koo :wub:   Thanks sis @cheerkoo for your translation of the 

    forward recommendation of Koo's new book- the writer describes very well of the Koo that we so love.

    Hi Sunnies,

     

    It's been a long while since I last wrote :|   Thank you to all who had been posting to keep our GHS thread going-

    bringing news & sharing thoughts :wub:.   So grateful to sis Cheerkoo for not only translating but for writing warm,

    wise & cute commentaries ALWAYS.  Never fail to bring a smile to my face after reading your post- your'e so awesome sis.

     

    Feeling less worried about GHS these days as I feel she has the best partner by her side - what a blessing that God

    has given her, imo.   Also, so happy about  DC-fans' projects for Koo - a big THANK YOU to "Evergreen and Latte" !! 

     

    These days & as always, I'm listening to Koo's music & enjoying the calm, nostalgic feelings that come with it.  Hope that

    she's writing more music and we'll get to hear new releases soon :)   Hope to hear of other projects as well- GHS Fighting!!!

    Soon, it will be GHS BD - hope many Sunnies will join in the celebration and post :wub:

    Just found out that GHS Dark Yellow VLive video now has completed the subtitles -YEAAHHHHH!!  I just re-watched & really love it -so much better now!  I still can't believe that we, International Sunnies finally got our "fan meet" with GHS - she really talked to us :D   GHS is such a lovely person, the things she says, the way she says it.     At the end, she said that she's shy and tried to do the heart sign - so adorable :tongue:  She also said that she's around the exhibition a lot and said "let's just meet without making a big fuss about it." - really love that <3   Now, I really wish to come to Korea in the future during a GHS event so that I can meet her!   So, Sunnies-  how about that GHS Field Trip that I dreamed up long ago?? in 3 years? 2 years?  Haha!

    One of these days, one of my "out there" ideas might actually stick!!!

    Hey sis @gayu312 - wouldn't it be best if we direct Sunnies to VLive site to watch the vid instead of to YT (here & on

    other GHS FB pages).  We want the "Watched count" (14k now) on VLive to be as high as possible, right?  And I guess we

    can also up the "'love/heart" count  :tongue: - BTW, watching VLive on a laptop (yes, I said laptop - old fashioned like GHS - haha!)

    doesn't seem to show the "heart" button to you to click on??? Can Sunnies from ALL countries able to access VLive, as

    long as they have a FB, twitter, etc. ?  If not, then those fans would have to rely on YT.

    Also, seemed like the translation on VLive is incomplete- GHS speaking a lot but gaps with the subbing?  Help- sis @Cheerkoo?

    I want to know Everything GHS said  -> also sis @Cheerkoo's translation would be better imo :blush:

    Hi sis @dee_dina - for me too, it was magical to experience the VLive.  We were there at the same moment in time with GHS.  

    She made a conscious effort to connect with her International fans, to share with us what is important and meaningful to her.  I am so grateful!!

    I didn't realize how painstakingly detailed her drawings were; she told us one particular large painting took six months to complete - Wow!  

    She showed the booklet from her exhibition, containing pics of her artwork- oh, how I wish us int. Sunnies can somehow get it!  I still think

    she should make a photo book/coffee table book of her artwork from all her exhibitions along with commentaries- self published book or ebook!

    Well, it's 3:30am (yes AM) and I have to get up for work in a few hours.  Hope that GHS is happy with how the event turned out - she's really

    a cool person in my book - 1000% agree with sis @cheerkoo.   DAEBAK to Newlywed Diaries & GHS' new drama!!  Fighting my beloved GHS!! 

     

    The Replay is ready - check it out when you have a chance.  Btw, to me, Dark Yellow can mean a mature/time tested view of hope & positivity!

    Wow - I can see how calm Dark Yellow  is in compare with the color of Yellow - so much/too much energy??
