Thank you... THANK YOU FOR THIS.
This one line puts everything into perspective!!! I thought DS was being mean, selfish and an entitled prick in the clinic... but keeping his character in mind, he prolly thought that was the right thing to do as a gentleman and as a 'fixer/ problem solver'.... and try to make HJ forget it! Aha. It backfired pretty hilariously though... I can finally see the comedy-in-errors though... thank you for this. I'm not holding this one against DS anymore now :P

I don't hate Du Shik for acting like who he is. He is a problem solver but there's a problem he hasn't solved so far: himself. Du Shik wasn't being mean. He was clearly affected by the kiss, because as we saw from the flashback he closed his eyes and let himself enjoy it for, even a small time. Maybe while kissing him Hye Jin blacked out or ran away wanting to do merrier things. Because she was clearly not thinking with a sober mind. Plus I would like to point out that the exercise things happened after the kiss so that means that even if the kiss happened he didn't try to take advantage of her or dropped her so she would be alone. He was there with her while she did all types of shenanigans. He was taking care of her. He's a good guy. Let's not forget it. Maybe even if he's affected by her jarring presence in his life he wasn't expecting it. Maybe he still thinks that he's not ready for a new relationship. We might not know what happened during those five years but he's acting this way because of those five years.

No, the flashback wasn't for the purpose of drilling-in they are fated. That scene was to call-out all DS haters who called him a 'fake' for not spotting 4USD for a coffee to an adult, stranger, tourist woman... and contrast it to how he, back in the day... he pitched in 10cents for her milk, on a similarly bad day for HJ, and likely during a moment when she needed the 'short change' even more

Usually when there are flashbacks about the younger days of certain main leads it's usually put in to show that they are meant together. But maybe what you said makes sense too. I just don't understand why there are Du Shik haters. I mean what did that man ever do to you? He's such a prince. And if it was me in Du Shik's shoes I wouldn't just pitch in money too. You don't just open your wallet for someone you met no matter how dire the circumstances are. Plus even if he didn't give the money he took her around and taught her the value of hard earned money. If he just said "no" and left her that would be an asssy move, methinks. Also on a side note, teenage Du Shik is gorgeous. I said that twice. I don't care.

OHMYGOD!!! You've got me on a train of thoughts. What if DS's past family, and him wanting to give love a second-shot with Hye-Jin.... forces her to heal her relationship with her Dad (who remarried after Mom passed away...?) and had always been misunderstood by HJ?
HOLYYYY! That makes so much sense! :flushed:

That would make amazing sense EXCEPT I said again that he might've not been married after all. We never know. He's such a mysterious person. I saw somewhere someone said that in that picture, it was Du Shik and he was wearing a coat and that same coat was hanging in his wardrobe. That wouldn't explain the fact of who's it might be. We never saw tiny Du Shik or his parents. We only saw young Du Shik with his grandpa. But also like I said before, Gamri Halmoni was asking him to get married, which might mean that he was never married before and then we would go all the way back to square one. Especially when we know that Gamri Halmoni was the only person who knew about Du Shik during those five years.

Holy Shiz it'd be so cool if she wants Hwajeong, (I hope you mean the person and not the restaurant) I really want this.

However, my rational mind tells me that it'd be far more Kdrama-ish if she came back to make amends between the husband and the wife. That's mystery no. 1, what went wrong between the two. Maybe she knows, maybe she can fix it. I don't want hwajeong to go back to a selfish man but I think that's a possibility.

That bloodied hand on Du Sik's shoulder constantly gives me a vibe that it's a war. It could be an accident too. Let's wait and see. This episode is my favourite episode too and I love Oh Yoon/Chun Jae.

Yes, I meant a certain homosexual vibe. Not to be rude or mean, but there was something in the way the teacher was always talking to Hwa Jeung. Plus she hasn't been married for such a long time and the fact that she's wearing something that Hwa Jeung was also wearing might mean something. I feel like Village Chief is the red herring, letting us all think that maybe she came to lure Village Chief back in or to help getting them back together again. Because that woman was caring too much about Hwa Jeung. And in an overly friendly way.

Like you said, we have to wait. But my money is in her liking Hwa Jeung. The person. Not the restaurant.

  2. Something I felt that needed to be mentioned. Gamri Halmoni is the only person that kept contact with Du Shik during those missing five years and that means she would know what happened. And she told Du Shik to marry someone and get settled, which means that she knows that he wasn't married before. If it did turn out that he was married before, the logic behind Gamri Halmoni's words would be useless and wrong.

  3. Okay first off, let me explain somethings that made me love episode six more than the other episodes. Based on the preview I honestly expected to be heartbroken because it seemed like there might be a fight but instead, this episode proved to be one of my favorites. This is why:

The dance scene. Now I don’t expect all actors to be good at dancing and especially after seeing Kim Seon Ho’s paper doll dances in 2D1N I honestly expected him to fail. But it wasn’t about the chemistry of them in the dance scene or to make us swoon by watching them dance together on the stage. It was about helping the cutest fangirl in the world. And our couple nailed it. They embarrassed themselves by dancing so stiffly just to make sure Juri gets to sing and assure her that the dancing is happening even if it isn’t her dancing. I love that about Hye Jin. Du Shik would obviously help anyone, but Hye Jin wouldn’t. She had formed a special bond with Juri and that was why she went all out on the stage. But I loved how Gamri Halmoni loved Du Shik’s dancing anyway. LOL

Juri’s fangirling is a mood. Honestly. I’m a fangirl too, as you can see from my profile picture and signature. I’ve been a fan of SHINee (Onew especially) for over ten years and I still cry when I see him. I even started watching variety shows just for him. I watch all Vlives and wait for updates on him like a true fangirl. And Juri is the same. So seeing such a faithful fangirl like her made me feel soft for her. She’s just like me. We just want oppa to know that he’s loved. And if oppa said that my snaggle tooth is cute then in no way am I gonna cover it up with braces. Juri is my inner fangirl. I love how her dad knew about DOS and wanted his kid to meet her idol, herniated back be dammed.

But this episode was all about a father’s love. Of course, Oh Yoon just became my favorite dad because of how much he loves Juri. I love how he fights all the time with Juri but that’s his kid. And he will always keep her safe. Oh Yoon a.k.a Chun Jae became one of my favorite characters in this series in this episode. Everything he said to Du Shik about her resonated something in me. I lost my dad a couple of years too. But I wasn’t his little girl. I wasn’t close to him and every day I keep thinking that I should’ve said that I loved him every day. I regret not being there for him. I saw him be sick but I didn’t care enough for him, and yet he loved me every day. Oh Yoon was the same. He loves her so much. I love how Juri said that he tries to be her mom too, which just breaks my heart. My mom tried to be my dad too, but it wasn’t as successful. Just like how Juri felt that her dad should just be that. Her dad. But Oh Yoon, you won me over. Thank you for being an amazing dad.

I looooooved how Bora singing made Yi Joon fall in love. That was such an adorable moment. Of course I didn’t expect Bora to be such a darling singer and win everyone’s hearts.

Too much resistance means deep backstory. I saw this comment on a YouTube video and I realized how true it sounded. Our man Du Shik was trying his best to make Hye Jin forget about the kiss and what it meant and that means that he was trying too hard to resist. There is something super dark about his history, the missing five years. Something deep went in there and he’s haunted by the nightmares. It can’t be his parents’ accident. It must be something else. I feel like he might be responsible for the death of someone, maybe his past lover? Or maybe he witnessed his past lover die? Fall off a cliff or something? Because that bloody hand in his nightmare suggests some kind of death that happened. He’s feeling guilty about it and it haunts him every minute of his life. That dimpled smile he puts up is hiding his hurt. And like a true heroine would do, I’m expecting Hye Jin to peel those layers and make him sleep comfortably at least one night. I hope that’s not too much to ask for.

Du Shik and Sung Hyun (the second male lead) has such bromance. I honestly love their relationship and they have such chemistry. I saw more chemistry in Du Shik and Sung Hyun than with Sung Hyun and Hye Jin, but let’s be honest, we haven’t seen Sung Hyun and Hye Jin yet. Next episode is gonna be such a blast with Hye Jin being all smiley around her favorite sunbae and her jealous “friend” seething with pure jealousy around them. But for now, I’m gonna enjoy the obvious bromance thrown my way. Yes, that save meant everything. Now they’re even. But what’s more interesting is how they speak. Sung Hyun isn’t a hateful second lead (yet?) and I’m starting to really like him. There’s nothing special about him, true, but also there’s something about him in a way it’s unable to explain. Like the two sunshines in this drama, his smile is also proving to be quite lethal. While Kim Seon Ho obviously has my whole heart, this guy is gonna be an eye opener for me. Just please don’t be a Ji Pyeong here. I can’t take it with falling for the second lead in this. Not when I’m entirely in love with Du Shik.

There’s something else too. I feel like the actor Kim Seon Ho is like a character written by a woman writer. He gives off so much husband material vibes that I can’t even believe how amazing he is. Seriously.

Okay anyway, back to the analyses. You know what, I love it when a girl initiates a kiss. You have to appreciate the tenacity of a woman making the first move. I recently watched “My secretary’s secret life” and even there the female lead makes the first move and I appreciate a woman who has balls. I didn’t mean in that sense, but you know what I meant. Especially when our said adorable male lead is surprised AND closes his eyes to feel his woman’s lips on his. Now that’s a combination of boss woman and soft man. And let me tell you, that’s one powerful combination. And let’s not forget Hye Jin staring at her patient’s lips in the clinic. Now we all know she’s smitten. And at the end of the episode it was quite obvious that even if throughout the episode Du Shik was teasing her, he’s falling in love with her during the fireworks display. Yeah, try being friends after seeing her in a new light, Du Shik. You will fail. And your competition just saved your life too.

About the other love triangle, I don’t think the teacher character came back to win the Zone Chief. I have a feeling, and it might be just a small feeling but, I feel like either she’s interested in Hwe Jeung or she’s having some sickness and just came back to get the two together. I’m not really interested in their story, just that the mom and son are adorable and I don’t want them to get hurt in any way.

I love how this drama showcases everyone’s stories, and not just our couple’s story. Today’s episode’s highlight was the dad-daughter scenes and even in the flashbacks we should appreciate Hye Jin’s dad because he’s silent, understanding and loves her even if he doesn’t use much words. Also the flashbacks was unnecessary when it comes to showing how Du Shik and Hye Jin was meant to be because I just hate childhood flashbacks that show when leads were actually meant to be. It’s unnecessary and hyped. But teenage Du Shik is gorgeous. Also we solved the little slip up Hye Jin did when asked if this was the first time coming to Gongjin and she replied “No, it’s my second- third time”. We know now when her second time was.

    EDIT

OH MY GOD. I just read about the photograph thing and it all makes sense. Oh God. Okay so, y'all know that I'm a fanfic writer, yes? So now these ideas keep pouring to my head and I keep having these images of it. If Du Shik was married and had a baby during those five years and he lost both of them because of something it would make so much sense. Maybe while they were sleeping there was a fire and Du Shik ran in to help their dog or some kind of pet and lost his family. Or maybe his kid went in to find the pet and the mom followed him in and Du Shik lost them both because the police grabbed him and he couldn't save either of them. Maybe that explains the bloody hand and how he's always haunted in his dreams.

Oh and in my fanfic, when Du Shik and Hye Jin are alone in his house drinking or eating, Du Shik lays all his cards on the table telling her everything. And then he starts crying, hiding his face from her view. She's tearing up too, and then she stands up and walks to him and hugs his head to her stomach. He wraps his arms around her waist and cries to her stomach. When the cries start to subside, she looks at him, wipes his tears and kisses him. And they kiss deeply and ... fade to black.

Oh. I'm sorry. I'm really bad at writing. I mostly write smut.

  4. Okay as I said, I will be live capping.

Hye Jin wakes up on the floor comfortably and turns around to see Du Shik (fully dressed) sleeping next to her. As a normal woman would, she freaks out and runs away leaving her umbrella in the living room couch. Nam Sook sees her running away and as always in a small village, she gossips on the village chat and soon everyone thinks that the dentist slept with their lovable Chief Hong.

Mi Soon (the friend) opens the door to Hye Jin with a sing song voice asking if she slept with Chief Hong, waving the phone happily over a clearly hungover Hye Jin. While Hye Jin curls up in mortification, Du Shik wakes up without any freakout and sees the umbrella wondering if Hye Jin left in a hurry. He cooks (for himself?) while Hye Jin tries to remember the last night.

Blurs and flashes indeed but its hilarious how she's a complete whacko when she's drunk. While Du Shik watches her with second hand embarassment (me too) Hye Jin is as happy as a clam running around the neighborhood, playing on the outdoor exercise machines and calling him "Du Shik oppaaaaaaaa"

    LMAO I'm loving this.

Hye Jin tries to opt out from going to the clinic in the morning (because she's embarassed for not remembering anything after the exercising) but Mi Soon reminds her of her credit card bills on the table, this time it's Mi Soon who runs to take care of some unfinished business (oh toilet humor, how I've missed ya). While walking in the street, Nam Sook, the cafe owner and the little girl's parents gather to watch her walk, while acting like they haven't been staring and noting that she looks "content". LMAO. While Hye Jin tries to hide her face Du Shik calls out to her and asks if she'd had breakfast. Seems like he's not in the village gossip chat. He's literally clueless why the cafe owner is taking selfies and photographs on the street and acting as if he's constipated.

Cut to the villagers looking through the window at the not-couple having breakfast. It does look intimate when you don't hear the conversation because it's basically Du Shik recapping last night, but only the bits she remembers. They're having ox blood soup (?) and when Du Shik cleans her mouth saying that she looks like Joker with the bloodstain on her lips, the villagers swoon. But Nam Sook sits down and wonders why there's no chemistry between them for some reason. LMAO this is getting more and more hilarious.

Argh, I can't recap more. I'm laughing so hard!

  5. I saw on Dramabeans how everyone kept saying that it seemed like Doo Shik is the one who's openly flirting with Hye Jin and that his affection for her seems very obvious but I feel as if he is giving her mixed reactions. I have a feeling that he's not as attracted to her as she is for him, or rather, he's trying his best not to. He does care about her, but he also cares about all the townsfolk. I got that when he answered Gamri's phonecall in the 4th episode. He didn't know why the phonecall came at first but he smiled and answered it. He never ignores his day off and people call him even on that day but he ignores them, except he answered Gamri's call. So maybe Hye Jin is another precious person to him like the grandmas are. Just that. But to Hye Jin, he's an entirely different being. She's obviously affected by him and his actions and she does get hot and bothered by it.

Another thing I picked off the comments in Dramabeans is how the Hedgehog = Hye Jin scenario played out. At first that little girl told her that if you reach out to the hedgehog and bond with it, it will lay it's spikes down and let you pet it. And then Doo Shik said that the hedgehog is like Hye Jin. Later as the episodes go, we see that Hye Jin is obviously waiting for him without even realizing that she is, and that she had made a special bond with him, because they both reached out to each other, and in a similar way of letting the owner pet a hedgehog, Hye Jin laid down her spikes and let Doo Shik touch her. Or rather swoon at the fact that he was completely getting his hands cold since the first moment she said that she feels hot and the second time she said it, he just cupped her cheeks and melted us with that epic one line : "It's so hot".

I mean, it is so hot that even the ice cubes melted at his melo swoon-worthy gaze.

  6. Hey guys,

Ready for the weekend bliss of dimples? I know I am. I can't wait to see the impeccable chemistry between our ShikHye couple! And as always I will provide laughable insight along the way.

Hey, random idea. Why don't we do a live recap?

Anyone up for it?  Some people could do the live recap and some do some screenshots. It's hard to screenshot Netflix dramas though...

Dramabeans released the Recap for Episode 4:

    Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha: Episode 4

As her business continues to grow, our dentist discovers that not all of her new patients are kind-hearted. A disturbance at her practice strengthens her relationship with her best friend, while also bringing her closer to the town’s handyman. Meanwhile, another couple has become the focus of the villagers’ gossip.

I agree, his taste, wine knowledge, foreign language ability (ep 1) shows he is not a countryside boy. Next ep we’ll learn he is from SNU. Would be interesting to find learn about the story behind his past.

Right? The wine tasting knowledge made me wonder too!

He’s not your typical farm boy. He has many certifications. And he knows every job that has graced earth, except maybe medical ones. Or maybe he used to be into the medical profession before something happened and he decided to go and live where he used to live with his grandpa when he was small. I want to know his entire history.

I know that he was with his grandpa when he was small. And he met Hye Jin back then but neither knows (even if Hye Jin saw that picture she didn’t seem to realize that it’s him). And then he went to school in Seoul? Or university? He says that his parents died when he was six, right? He won’t lie about things like that, right? Maybe he went to a blind date or something in Seoul? What’s with the fashion if not?

Hong Du Sik is an entire enigma. You wanna know about him cuz he seems like such an open book. But he’s open only about the happy things in his life, never his past. He’s hiding so much but you don’t know what he’s hiding. He gets random nightmares and he’s not put off about them. He seems rather used to it. So it’s recurring. His vast knowledge on things that a simple country boy wouldn’t know made me curious too.

We thought that Hye Jin was a closed book. But rather, she’s more open about her feelings than Du Sik is. What’s a Seoul Graduate doing freelancing in Gyojin?

  8. Holy shizz the feels in that last moment!!!

I wish I could just take the drama apart and dissect it and analyze each and every moment between the main lead couple cuz that's some mother effing chemistry they got there!

Before I forget about it, lemme just say that last cheek cupping was so smooth, okay. And her eyes widened because obviously we know that our girl's falling for him. The eye contact, the first moment their skin touched, that moment meant everything to Hye Jin, you could see it in her eyes. But I have a feeling that our Chief Hong is gonna go the high road and amount it all to infatuation with the penguin from Antarctica because I think that he's not gonna act on his feels right away and be all noble idiotic. But we saw that our girl has fighting words. How happy was I that she punched the pervert right in his face and Du Sik kicked him on the other side. Our Dimple couple could hurt people just by their smiles but no, they had to be excellent kickers too. Ah F### I think I'm falling for Hye Jin too. I felt especially protective of her this episode for some reason. Of course I don't have to explain the fact the I'm already in love with our handyman, right?

Next, June Oppa looks cute. Maybe he's gonna steal my heart like every new scene stealer? I remember when Kim Seun Ho used to be that heart stealer in Strongest Deliveryman once.

Is it me or does it look like our adorable maknae police officer is crushing on Mi Yeon? I mean, that would be an adorable coupling for sure. It's gonna break my heart if he's rejected.

That pervert. Argh. I felt like he deserved every punch right there. I feel so proud of Hye Jin for calling him out for it and punching the shizz out of him. Yes ma'am, we stan a girl who can fight for her friends and doesn't need a wet suit clad gorgeous specimen for help-

I see what I did there.

But yes, I want more wet suit Du Sik. And more surfing Du Sik. More staring-into-the-eyes-of-his-future-lover Du Sik and more cupping-cheeks-of-future-lover Du Sik. And especially more Singer Du Sik. I've seen Kim Seon Ho oppa sing before and I've always been mesmerized by his voice.

    What else did I miss?

Oh yes. I love the new fangirling duo. Seems so fun fangirling with them when you know the handsome barista sitting across you is crushing on you hard. Must be fun.

Okay, so things to expect in the future episodes:

    1. Some good ol' lovin' in the boat that Du Sik keeps repairing non-stop. Boy, you gotta take use of the good space in there and maybe do some star gazing. Or you could show her the stars. Just sayin'

    2. More fangirling for June oppa and maybe some one sided love from June for his Dentist Noona? Could someone ask for that much?

    3. Some real singing from Oh Yoon. We know that guy's got the voice so soothing for a singer. And I've always seen him in comedy and not in any real good swoonworthy roles so yes, we need that from you.

    4. Our Village Chief and Zone Chief to get together. They might be having a pending divorce contract but we all know that neither are over the other. Even if some people consider chasing their first love as "moving on".

    5. More wine/liquor scenes between the main leads that will give space for some more skinship, cuz I know that I'm not the only one who heard the sizzling chemistry between them during the cheek touch. Ya'll ain't fooling no one.

    6. I'm looking forward to the walk of shame. I know it's too early for anything to happen between them, so obviously the tango dances didn't happen. But a walk of shame means that they are aware of each other and that means more misunderstandings and I'm living for them.

    7. The first kiss should happen in the seaside, for sure. How could you ignore all the crashing waves so beautiful around you? No offense to the wet suit but I would prefer Du Sik to be in plaid rather than that. Plaid brings out some ragged sexiness about him that I forgot.

    8. As mentioned countless times, the first tango dancing should happen on the boat. Now that's a real good place to lose your... hand cream..

    9. I want some real kisses, ya'll. I'm tired of all the wide eyed fish kisses we get in dramas. We know both are good kissers so give us some good kissing. Them open mouth, closed eyes, feeling each other better than before kinda kisses. Okay maybe make it PG rated, I don't care. I want them to go all out.

P.S. Please mods I promise I will be good again. Please don't edit it out.

    10. No wedding please. Weddings are a slow death.. I'm serious. If these two get married then this story will be a fail for me. Maybe start living together (and let Mi Yeon move in with her police officer) and have some good ol' sexy times. But, No Weddings. Oh, I would love an engagement though. If ya'll want a wedding then I need a season 2. If nah, then nah.

Oh I forgot to add a different trailer for next week, here you go.

Regarding Dusik's Seoul trip - this is a building that has several clinics, so we don't know which one he visited. Someone already said he might be related to one of the CEO (clinic chiefs?) in that building, since he has come up to Seoul several times now. I actually thought he has some health issue, though I wouldn't know which one, since this building houses psychiatrist, dentist, urology etc... (And he does have nightmares, so it might be a mental health issue?)

I agree with the mental health thing because with all the work he's doing its weird that he's not getting mentally stressed because of it. On the other hand if he's visiting the Urology clinic maybe he's worried about some tumor growing in his body and he's afraid it might be cancer? And not to put off anyone but he's actually getting medication for it. Maybe its hereditary, maybe one of his parents had it.

Either way, I'm forecasting trouble waits for him in Seoul. And a storm is impending.

Makes me wanna watch the original 2004 movie but I want to watch HC as a new person, so I won't watch it.

Edit: In the 2004 summary, it says that Mr. Hong is a marvelous fighter (like in Matrix LOL) so maybe he hurt someone so bad that they had to be admitted to a Seoul Clinic and he's visiting that someone because they used to be friends but because of this fight they started getting distant.

I'm a writer, so many ideas pop up in my head.

    - What do you all think about this? I feel like the show hasn't yet given Du-sik any flaws. The only thing the others accuse him of is being too nosy, but with him being the village Chief he has some authority and right to meddle in other people's lives. Otherwise he's perceptive, generous, kind, takes initiative, knows how to make everything (soap, coffee, AND candles!), cares about the village and individual people, etc. He's also clever - that trash scene in the office was brilliant - and he speaks up when he needs to. And judging by his beautiful home he's rich. It's not fair to have a ML out there who's so perfect.

I agree with each and everything you said about Du sik, but about not having flaws, I disagree. Yes, he's totally boyfriend material and husband material but something is bothering him. We saw him visit someone at a clinic and then waking up in sweat from a nightmare or a memory. Something is bothering him, and he's feeling guilty. And because of that you can't say that he's entirely without flaws. Something dark is lurking around him.

  11. Oh my God!

I just finished watching this episode and can I say how much I'm loving their chemistry? The dimples galore and the nonstop chemistry between the two.

How adorable was it for DS to learn Japanese to read that document for Kim Gari Halmoni? That was so adorable and so nice of him. And to be honest, complete husband material.

I do love how the main leads keep clashing but by the end of the day they correct their misunderstandings and are practically beaming at each other. No other dramas give me this much sweetness that I will be scared I will get diabetes from the total fluff.

I love how different they are, character wise:

Hye Jin has a cold exterior yet her heart warms as time passes. I wanna bet that the townsfolk are gonna fall in love with her more than Du Sik. LOL

Du Sik is nice to everyone and has a very open heart but that's what he's showing from inside because he's hiding some secret, like maybe the possibility of him being a chaebol son or something along that line. It could possibly be. Maybe he visited his dad's clinic because they asked him to come? Or maybe it was a sogaeting (blind date)? So many possibilities but I think chaebol son is the best possibility.

The smile in both their faces when she got back her shoe and the lights hit. Heh. Also is it a "Wizard of the Oz" reference? Because normally all Kdramas have a running fairytale theme, maybe with a modern twist. When Hye Jin clicked her heels and the lights came it kinda reminded me of "Wizard of the Oz". I might be wrong. Maybe its actually Cinderella, since her so-called-friends actually called her Cinderella and she lost her shoe, only for her handsome and charming prince to bring her shoe back.

This drama is hitting me right in the feels, and the ending in today's episode made me love it more than the ending last episode. Those smiles. Those dimples.

I hate to do the game I suggested, I might be drunk in five minutes.

I think the ML is secretly rich as well, Episode 2 made me a little more sure that he could be.

I feel the same way. He does contemplate on the tux in his wardrobe. Also he’s a handyman but something about his lost parentage makes me wonder the same too. Maybe he came to live with his grandpa when his parents are abroad or something.

About the childhood connection, such an overdone trope in kdramas. It was adorable the first ten times. Now it’s just exasperating. I mean, tell me one drama that came out without a childhood connection… okay maybe Master’s Sun.

Fine. Maybe there are dramas without childhood connections but they’re the ones that’s intriguing. Every childhood connection drama is about first love. And I’m so done with it.

Hye Jin was bein' a typical mean girl in ep. 02 but luckily there's a hottie as Chief Hong to sound her off LoL.

I love all her outfits btw, as for her choice of footwear er--not so much LoL. The huge ornaments/buckles look tacky imo. I much prefer sneakers.

And 'gain surprise, surprise no K-drama is made complete without the classic "childhood connection" ha-ha.

    @heartoppaya

You' re too cute! I especially smiled at your "wish list" #07 - making a cameo to incite jealousy out of Hye Jin. :gangnamstyle:

    Haha thank you thank you!

Well, I can cameo but thing is I'm not a good contender. She would just look me over and DS is a guaranteed win for her. Especially cause my dimples exist once a month LMAO

I couldn't add one more thing to the wish list, but I'm too shy to-

Nevermind, I'm known as the Pervy Donsaeng since 2013. I've woken up from the dead to DEMAND a complimentary shower scene from KSH oppa. If we don't get it, I would be a bit disappointed and rewatch the 1D2N bare-chested (and swoonworthy for sure) scene over and over again. I already brought up the views in it anyway, with my rewatching.

    EP 2 Review:

I should have been born in SoKor, literally everyone is fated from childhood...Lol

I get where HyeJin is coming from, I am as finicky as her, but problem is she refuses to meet midway, Du Sik legit forced everyone to meet at middle-ground because he is maybe the only one to understand the gap between Modern and Old Psychologies. But he can only work upto certain point, rest HyeJin has to do on her own. She is great at her jobs but not the Household or community chores, not everyone is though. But again she has to adjust her habbits as well, if there was no DuSik it would be hard to survive in that town.

Lets see how it flourishes in next episodes. Also I dont think he is chasing her yet but more like trying to help a LOST And SLOW Soul like her.

About HJ, I do feel like she's not trying to get into the middle ground too but maybe that's her upbringing. She's a Seoulite, right, and that means she is usually well off than DS. She lost her mom and she's nostalgic about it, but she's also not in a good place with her dad and her stepmom. Maybe she forced herself to earn more money to take care of people. That's the only way she's common to DS, helping people.

I too don't think that DS is the person who's chasing her. Maybe she's talking about her ex? She did mention "boyfriend". Maybe she's telling that to DS. Is that too much to hope for? It does look like they're having a hard time looking at each other after that "save" in episode 2.

I definitely do love where this is going.

Things to hope for in the future:

    1. Coffee moment between the two

    2. Make out sesh in the boat on the top of the hill

    3. A moonlit dance

    4. More fish gutting, but only the two of them

    5. Some misunderstandings between the elders and the Dimple Couple when the elders find them in a compromising position (I do love compromising positions and misunderstandings)

    6. More compromising positions

    7. HJ being jealous of some other girl who's mooning over DS (I can cameo, I don't mind, I moon over him daily as a ritual anyway)

    8. Can we expect a Dimple Kiss?

HOMETOWN CHA-CHA-CHA, tin tức Mới nhất Shin Min Ah - Kim Seon Ho rạng rỡ trong teaser phim mới, dân tình đặt luôn biệt danh là "cặp đôi má lúm" - Đọc

I can't seriously get over the Dimples in this drama!!

  15. Du Sik is such an interesting character.

He's a jack of all trades and he helps everyone. He's loved by everyone and I completely understand why. But I can't be someone like him. I always wonder if he never gets tired or worn out or annoyed. He looks completely in his element no matter what he does. And even with Hye Jin, he's someone who's very familiar when it comes to people. But what's interesting is I have never come across such a character in real life. The way he deals with Hye Jin is normal for me and they seemed to have close chemistry but didn't want the viewers to read into it too much. We sometimes want the relationships and romances to be sudden or maybe grow out as time passes, so I think they tried to live down the obvious chemistry between the two characters.

And Hye Jin isn't a bad guy. What's really interesting is no one is the obvious villain here. Maybe Hye Jin's previous boss, who I think haven't taken revenge yet. We do have to watch out for her. But the way Hye Jin reacts is completely normal for me. That's how you will be if you suddenly find yourself without a shoe and a guy who seem cold because he can't obviously do anything about the lost shoe. But I do feel that he felt some immediate connection to her the moment he saw her. He was definitely staring at her, maybe a love at first sight? Could be. Ah, I'm rambling.

Here, have a gorgeous picture of Kim Seon Ho.

  16. Oh I'm so much in love with this. Seeing KSH's smile reminds me of how much I love this man.

I've been waiting forever to see him as the lead ever since falling for (and not getting over) Han Ji Pyeong in Start Up. And now seeing him once again and this time secured with the fact that he will infact get the girl I'm so happy. To be honest I fell for him in Strongest Deliveryman and I knew from the first flash of dimples that he's going to steal my heart. I have two most favorite actors in SK, Kim Sun Ho and So Ji Sub, both actors who delivered and moved my heart plus broke my heart into pieces from the first time I saw them on screen (for SJS it was Master's Sun) and the best thing is that they have both acted with Shin Min Ah now.

The Dimples Couple is doing it for me here. I know that KSH can have chemistry even with a tree and especially the ahjummas in a drama, so it wasn't a big surprise when he straight off had chemistry with SMA. I'm so glad the chemistry is so natural here and not forced.

I will definitely watch for the chemistry and the dimples alone. I do hope KSH's fellowmates from 1D2N will make cameos like they did in Start Up. I know for sure for this drama that I won't have any Second Lead Syndrome for sure because my

second lead just took over the driving wheel.

Oh I can't wait to see the rest of the series and much more KSH goodness. And the Dimples galore.

I do have to say, I'm loving the cafe's interior designing. And gosh, KSH looks beautiful when he's making that coffee. I always drink coffee and I don't look 1/10th that beautiful when I make that coffee.

I'm here for KIm Sun Ho oppa for sure. I'm so much in love with him. So much.

And I mean, it would look like they will fall in love so quickly, because, I mean, how can you not expect them to? With such a beautiful cast, it would be a surprise not to fall in love.

This makes me want to give up my high powered job and reside to the seaside to meet a handsome jack-of-all-trades and fall in love with him, but... stupid COVID.

P.S. Please post many many many MANY pictures of my darling KSH to stare at him all day, because yes.

  17. Poor Jung Hwan. He must be super worried about Ik Sun.

About her roommate being a guy, I’m not that worried. Because Ik Sun is a really amazing girl. She loves Jung Hwan a lot. Plus after being with a girl who’s a friend for so many years, Jung Hwan shouldn’t worry about it either. Just look at Song Hwa. I really hope she’s okay though. Because that’s worse than a heartbreak. Poor baby. He’s my bias. For some reason, I’ve always been in love with Jung Kyung Ho.

Ah Looney’s cameo made everything better. Too bad Dr. Ahn Chi Yong (the doctor who had a crush on Song Hwa in season 1)wasn’t there. He was Looney’s boyfriend in Prison Playbook, right? They were adorable. I love Lee Kyu Hyung so much. He was hilarious and heartbreaking in Prison Playbook and in Hi Bye Mama he was amazing too. The contrast was so much. And seeing him here even as a cameo it was amazing. I didn’t expect him to have a girlfriend, but he gave valuable advice to Song Hwa. She should consider giving the straw-in-nose guy a chance. They would be adorable. And I think that’s what they’re aiming towards this year. Hopefully Minah and Seuk Hyung will become a couple too.

I of course love Winter Garden (and those kisses!!) and I can’t wait for them to be an official couple, yunno, a couple that people will actually believe. Jeong Won is so adorable, I have no words.
