    What is Money Game?

Can you really be rich if you work hard?

Even if we work hard without skipping a day, we cannot keep up with the rise in apartment prices in Gangnam. So the hard work itself is a structural contradiction that seems elusive and pointless. After all, the sense of injustice and relative deprivation in a world where the art of making money is recognized as ability rather than nobleness. Many so-called losers are produced in the process.

Why was this monstrous society born?

The myth of a generation that solved hunger through high compression growth gave rise to the absurdity that only growth is omnipotent. Somehow, many things, even people, were reduced to means under the absolute premise of having to live well. Some people who are good with information and numbers have made a fortune by making products that ordinary people cannot understand. And at the center of it was Wall Street. The definitive edition of human greed.

About human values that numbers can't produce...

A society in which living together is not just a virtue, but an obligatory one. Therefore, the people who work with sweat, the nation that faithfully protects their people. Heo Jae dreamed, Chae Yi Hun tried to practice, and Lee Hye Jun had to complete. I wanted to look at the utopia through a state official who stood at that peak.

thank you so much for this! i'm extremely excited they had this to say

i'm on ep 2, so far i need the show to be clearer but i have so many different thoughts. i, personally, believe prof chae is massively wrong but it is a normal thought in the interests of the wealthy. wat i need to understand, i guess, is what the ocnflicts are going to be. rn we have the accident, so... but what else!!!!

After watched first episode I was sure this drama won't dissappoint me. I like the way they introduced the charachters. The "Stuck"in the traffic Chae Yi hun, who looks like stuck in life too. The silent and "invisible" for those smart asses with great universities behind their back, Lee Hye-joon. And Most of it I enjoyed Heo Jae. At first I decided he was a straight man. Disappointed in the past, but ready to work hard and stand up to everyone to ensure a better economic development in the country. But step by step he showed many layers of his character. Absolutely inconsistent, impulsive and vulnerable to anger. If there is something that i did not understand, then it is his attitude to the situation with the bank. At first he seemed to support the position of hon and was ready to cooperate, but after the incident with the professor, he completely changed. What I really can't wait to find out is which one is the real one Heo Jae.

Another thing I really want to know is whether professor Chae was really a caring person to his son and to korean economic or his true face was different. According the information in the beginnig, he was supportive to politicams and chaebols in the past, so his final fith with Heo Jae surprised me.

Anyway, it is a drama I really enjoyed and can't wait to see what is coming.

    And here few stills.

i don't think heo jae is the antagonist in terms of his solution. he pushed him in anger. but chae's beliefs were a contribution to how the crisis happened and why it is resurfacing. the show needs to do a better job at showcasing the exact consequences of capitalism and its perpetuations. there is a reason why yi-hyun disappointed him.

it's interesting and a testament to our own beliefs why we would think prof. chae is right and noble—maybe the show is going to toy with this.

edit: i'm all caught up. it's a very strange ride, but i am excited for the following episodes?

heo jae's solution is the same issue just another form/transformation of capitalism. the show needs to keep expressing itself though in terms of specificity.

anyway, the dude that plays the korean-american guy is...so...hot lmao. but his character is so terrible. shim eun kyung is beautiful here
