I have confusion with episode 1:
Han Suo was supposed to poison Qian Qian and he already add the poison into her wine? So how come Qian Qian only passed out after drinking the wine??
Also given the ending (from the snippet), does it mean Han Suo also somehow fell into the dream with QQ?

The character Su Ziying was made by QQ to speed up the love arch between Han Suo and Chu Chu. The background story was that Su Ziying was saved by Chu Chu when he was young, so he is very loyal to Chu Chu and wants to repay Chu Chu.

Looks like Chu Chu likes Han Suo for real. I think she was expecting Han Suo to marry her in the beginning as well, and then Qian Qian "stole" him instead. I'm glad they at least make the love triangle story very funny as well.

Really love this drama. The plot is refreshing, the chemistry is really funny and the story is light, cute and funny. Given that there is only 24 eps (and we are almost 1/2 way there) I hope there won't be a lot of misunderstanding/draggy or have crappy ending.

@graceeedwardmom I remember in the older version (might be the 1986 one), ZM also confronted ZWJ about this fact. She also mentioned that if she wanter them dead, why would she sent the ship to the island to pick them up once she arrived in mainland. And ZWJ though she killed YL because he was going to marry YL (they had a promise when he was Aniu) and ZM was jealous because of that. Not sure if this point is brought up in this version, I need to wait for sub version. And then the main reason ZM drugged and abandoned them on the island was, he thought, because she wanted to steal the dragon sabre.
Also growing up on deserted island with only his parents and XX made him very gullible. XX also believed that it was ZM who did this. With two of his closest/trusted person convinced him this, I cannot really blame him for blaming ZM. I think he is similar to GJ who blindly trusted his da shifu that HYS killed all his teachers.
Off topic, but out of the trilogy, I love the storyline of HSDS the most, but the character ZWJ is the protagonist I least like. Until this version probably (I have to watch until the end whether my opinion changes).

If I’m not wrong, I think that’s after ZM released ZWJ after he got caught by her family. ZWJ was wanted by Khan, so releasing him meant her family would be punished. ZM then shoulder all the blame and she was supposed to be executed.

Sometimes, I feel ZWJ is dumber than GJ. At least in GJ case the incident happened in HR mom tomb, not a public but hidden place so the perpetrator must be HYS. But this ZWJ just blame ZM just because she is missing??
Weren’t they also drugged by poison belong to ZM? I think the bone weakening drug that ZM used to to drug all the pugilists previously was the evidence that made ZWJ thought ZM did it, because that drug belongs to the Mongol?
Also I think it was partly because ZWJ knew ZZR when they were kids, so he is led to believe that in no way she could harm him. And I think ZWJ has a soft spot for her as well, because later when she admits her wrongdoing, he forgives her easily (whether its because of love or guilt towards her I’m not sure).
Also Jin Yong said the the character of ZWJ is complicated and whilst he has great martial art skill he is not made to be a leader unlike GJ or YG. So I think To a certain extend he is supposed to be “dumber” than GJ.

They make ZZR too kind hearted at the beginning in this version. I feel it kinda weird that she suddenly can turn that vicious and cunning, seeing that she refuse to kill evil sect’s member and suddenly she kill Yin Li? I don’t remember her character that kind hearted in other versions. Just that she is gentle and soft spoken.
ZWJ in this version seems just love ZM and treat the other girls as his sister. Unlike on the other versions where i feel he loves all the girls, especially Xiao Zhao. I always feel he loves her the most and might choose her over ZM if only she did not have to leave
I actually like how ZWJ is portrayed in this version. Because as you said he seems to love 1 person instead of being so indecisive in the other versions (to be fair, I think Jin Young said he is supposed to be like that unlike Guo Jing or Yang Guo, but I still like it when he is more clear about the woman he loves).
On ZZR, I always thought in other versions she is also portrayed as kind hearted in the beginning. It was her jealousy towards ZM that droves her evil at the island,

In the end, it was still a XF love and hate clearly. But no matter how much she hated LCY, the only love in her life was him. GXW or LCY are just 1 person, whom XF love so much.I agree. I think XF knows it would be too painful for LCY if he remembers the past as well. Not just for LCY but also for XF as well. I think once LCY knows the past, he would not be willing to let go of XF. He might still kill GJ, who knows. In the past, he was determined to keep XF by his side even when he knows how painful it is for XF.

After ep 48, I think sad ending (like the one in the novel) would be the best ending. I don’t want the writer to force it into a happy ending. I think XF dying would be best for her to ease all her pain and also the greatest punishment for LCY.

Guhongzi was just her senior. I'm not too sure myself though. Maybe a native chinese speaker could help us here. I remember in a later episode, YX tells XF the backstory of MJ and Guhongzi.
Yes, I got that from the subbed version (my Chinese is really bad, so not sure whether the translation is correct, but the translator also make a T/N about not knowing about the husband part). But in that particular scene, Yang Xiao made his comment clear about killing Mie Jue's husband and even said she should thank him because of that event Mi Jue can become a priestess and leader of Er Mei. Which is why I was confused as well. Also, I thought Er Mei is a female only sect (just like Wudang is a male only sect)? Is that not the case if they have Guhongzi as a disciple there?

Watched the first 6 episodes (late I know but they only subbed until ep 6) and I must say I like it so far. I still love the original version (Tong Leung/Kitty Lai) but I think this would come second.
Are we going to get the back story of priestess mie jue and her husband? I always thought she is a virgin because she is the head of ermei, but she has husband?

I’m a little confused, so who killed xuniang’s baby? Was it Sese and was it the empress? I thought it was Sese and also her to frame XF, but then Sese seems like she doesn’t know about this and thought XF was framing her. So it was all empress doing, including the maid who supposedly made a confession and kill herself?
Even though I know it would be XF who remember everything first, I kinda wish LCY would remember first and could try to somehow redeem himself. So painful to watch XF ...

Sese is not a very nice girl despite how she acts in front of LCY. With her thinking that the maid is having LCY’s baby, she might starts planning to get rid of the maid and the baby. The Queen then might able to punish this act. Just my random thoughts. XF however is not the kind who would resort to that sort of thing. She may get jealous but not to the point where she would do anything to harm the maid and the baby.

Anyone know how long until the leads regain their memories? I need to get ready when XF will have her heart breaks again.
I have a feeling that the Queen doesn’t hate XF, she probably prefers her to bear LCY’s son. So maybe her scheme with the maid and baby is to get rid of Sese instead of XF.

@marinated_lemon so they only forget about the love memory? Because LCY still remembers his childhood “love” Se Se, and XF also still remembers An Du? And what about those around them? Do they also have no memories about them being together before?
Edit: I watched more episodes and clears up about this matter.
Off topic, but Peng Xiaoran reminds me of Tang Yan (although she is called Fan Bingbing protege). She has the same skin complexion and their smile + dimple is similar.
Also, its quite interesting that the actor that plays LCY also plays Yang Kang. I think both has similar character - evil but loves his woman dearly.

Ok I’m up to episode 11 (the part after XF jumped into the lake of forgetfullness) and it gets confusing. So after they both jumped into the lake, did they travel back in time with the memory erased? And seems like everyone “forgets” about what happened and they live in alternate reality?
This might get clearer in further episodes, but I just want to know.

I started watching Haolan, but feel like its very slow paced. Will watch until episode 20ish to see if I want to continue watching it. I love the era it is set in. I usually get to watch the story if Yinzheng (Qin Shihuang), lovely to see the story of Buwei and Yiren this time.

I guess they are running out of time, 3 episodes left and all they can do now is kill off his character.Very curious as to what will happen next episodes. And maybe they will also remove Wang Go character from the plot as well. At first I thought he will be SN's rival after Bayan/ED, but we are almost at the end, and it will be too crazy to bring out WG in the final 2 episodes.
And maybe El Cruella will tell TH that Maha died, not about whose son he is. But then it won't be interesting if TH doesn't know anything about it. Aarrghh this drives me crazy, Monday please come sooner!

I don't think TH knows about Maha yet, otherwise he will push for Ayu to become the crown prince and highly favour him. But we can see Maha acting all high and mighty, so maybe the truth is not out yet.
I think they will show us what happen in that 5 years in the first 10 minutes of ep43, hehehehe its just too much of a big gap.

I really love all Zi Rui and Bai Ji, and now Meng Guo as well. They are all so funny
Also rooting for Yuan Yuan and Su Mu now. At first, I dislike Yuan Yuan and thought she will become the antagonist in the drama. But turns out she is likeable and nice.
