    BTW, fun fact - in Taiwanese dramas you can hear that Taiwanese actually mix in their Mandarin both English and Korean expressions.  In Amenalism the ML's mother called her neighbours Ajummas. In THe Masked Lover a little kid speaks in English to one guy, and he says 뭐 (what?). And in Lost Romance the FL says 안돼! (strong no!)

    @partyon HAHAHA Sunbaenim I guess joining in 2007 makes me one?  

     

     I for many years was not active.

    I loved SOOMPI as info and resource. I was watching "Coffee Prince" and I believe that is why I joined.

     

    Yeah Empress Ki was LONG why when I did not watch in real time, I did the REWATCH party and if not with my friends, I would not have survived last year. I wanted to quit halfway truth be told.


    Then for a few years I laid low. Then 2013-2014 here and there lurked and did post a bit.

    Quiet til last year during Covid.

     

    (edit) Love Big Bang and my sis fave member was Seungri and I liked his outgoing personality. Dang why why is right.

     

    @corey Agree what you said about C dramas compared to K drama lengths as talked to my mom about it . She is avid Cdrama over Kdrama now as she cannot find Chinese subs on Youtube for Kdramas.  She is sad. She used to recommend Kdramas to me. (IF anyone can recommend a site for me to tell my mom  I would be grateful--DM me). I noticed what you wrote about Kdrams and Cdramas and what i know I agree about the kisses etc and overall stories etc.  

     

    I think should watch some good ones to practice listening to Mandarin again. I only saw Dating in the Kitchen as on twitter someone posted the FL trying to pretend to speak Korean instead of Mandarin and the ML spoke better Korean than her. LOL.

    @partyon @joccuChinggus thanks so much! Komayo! I did not even think this would happen! LOL. LEGEND--I never thought i would get to this point. LOL.

     

    I don't watch much C dramas too much. But the few I did watch I can see that is very attractive women /men. Yeah not realistic but I don't watch Cdramas, Kdramas or DRAMAS for realism as  more of a mistake. But doesn't stop me from making comments about it. LOL.

    OOOH cool never had Pongal. Then again not much variety of Indian cuisine that i can get my hands on here. So cool learning of various dishes etc here . Plus any visuals are welcome and love the explanations. LOVE it.

    Dang weird debates and topics on hangout. I admit rare to have FRESH durian here (impossible) . Being in USA we now have FROZEN But not going to lie no growing up with it the smell is off putting. I tried products foods with it. It was hard to eat. To me, smelly socks. When I went to Malaysia on a trip heading back to HK ---one lady on my tour group forgot and brought a fresh one into the main cabin. Let's just say people were NOT amused on the 6 hour flight back.

    Hope you are all doing well. It is Thursday here and ready to tackle the day. :elated:

     

    The Loan Meeting was good and informative. I won't know the verdict for another 35-45 days.:what!: So I am keeping my fingers crossed and positive vibes it goes through and is approved. :please:

     

    As a rare treat went to Shake Shack and they have this limited edition Korean fried chicken INSPIRED sandwich and menu. It was alright and ice cream shake (both decadant in calories. LOL):poledance:

     

    Caught up with last night's RUN ON, glad the OTP are closer but the second couple is doing great.(Not sure anyone is watching it). Gosh cannot wait for Mr. Queen's episodes this weekend. I do like TRUE BEAUTY and watching it too.

     

    Ok back to the morning routine. :coolshades:
