Hi guys...this is the latest news that I have heard. It turned out that the registration is only accepted if you did it during weekdays and before the end of office hours. Hi guys...I brought in a new development in the SBS Awards Festival. It seems that SBS once again make a change in the voting system. I'm not even sure how true this is myself. It's so confusing now!!! I heard that SBS did this sort of thing all the time!!! So for now... we can vote for both popularity and couple award.But...we are only allowed to vote one time perID for couple award AND one time perday for popularity award. Guys...we must make sure that POPULARITY and COUPLE AWARDS ARE OURS!!! All in all...I think it's better this way right, compared to the previous rules. So, don't waste your time! Kim Soo Hyun modeled some of the latest winter fashion styles for men for the January issue of Elle.
The 26-year-old actor was named South Korea's "Top Man" of the year by the magazine. Considering his impressive résumé, it comes as no big surprise that he received such an honor.After the massive success of his drama You Who Came From The Stars, Kim Soo Hyun's career has skyrocketed to top-star status. He won Asia's Best Actor Award at the Tokyo International Film Festival, was appointed Honorary Ambassador of Seoul, and reportedly made over $81 million USD from endorsements in China last year.
In the latest pictorial, Soo Hyun modeled warm accessories and apparel in a brick-stone studio. Then the actor took to the streets of London with his chic fashion! He modeled a striped scarf while resting against a cobblestone gate and posed with a blonde model while wearing a velvet jacket with vertical zippers. All of the looks were very refined, dark and masculine.
For Elle's first 2015 issue, the actor had an in-depth interview where he discussed his upcoming projects and his unprecedented popularity. That initial boom didn’t necessarily have much of a long-term economic impact. But what’s changed in recent years — other than the runaway success of soap opera “My Love From the Star” — is that Korean brands have become much smarter about piggybacking off its cultural success, mainly through product placement and celebrity endorsements.
Mr. Rambourg points to Samsonite, the luggage maker, which started its casual sub-brand Red in South Korea several years ago. It has since exported it successfully across the region — with “My Love From the Star” actor Kim Soo-hyun as “brand ambassador.”
About 18 months ago, the fruits of that push began to become evident in a steep rise in Chinese visitors to South Korea. With “My Love From the Star,” says Mr. Rambourg, “you really had a tipping point with Chinese consumers being obsessed with everything Korean and wanting to relate to the perfection of the soap opera stars that they were seeing.”

Is Kim So-hyun succumbing to pressure?
Hallyu star Kim Soo-hyun failed to choose a new project for the next year, leaning on the popularity that he gained from his latest drama “My Love from the Star.”
“We were offered a lot of scripts, but we turned all of them down because they were not the perfect match for Kim,” an official of Kim’s agency KEAST told reporters.
The comment comes after Kim dropped two drama offers “Frankenstein” and “The Night Walker,” that he originally picked as his next works.
Since the launch of “My Love from the Star” in late 2013, the 27-year-old actor has been away from the acting scene. The yearlong hiatus has surprised many critics, as Kim was active both on TV and in movies since his appearance in SBS’ “Giant” (2010).This year, after “My Love from the Star” concluded on Feb. 27, Kim has only had a 60-second cameo appearance in film “Miss Granny.”
Critics say Kim is caught under so-called “jackpot pressure,” because he has never failed in his previous works. All his five works from 2011-2013 -- “Dream High (2011),” “The Moon Embracing the Sun (2012),” “The Thieves (2012),” “Secretly, Greatly (2013)” and “My Love from the Star (2013)” -- have been tremendous successes, making him a world star in less than two years.With the actor planning to serve his military duty next year, his next project is likely to be his last until he finishes the two-year compulsory duty. The final performance will be the Kim Soo-hyun that the viewers would remember for at least two years -- hence the pressure.
The endless promotional calls and advertisement deals, both at home and overseas, may be distracting him from the acting scene, according to local ports. But considering the ever-ongoing acting career of another profuse hallyu actor Lee Min-ho, now as successful as Kim Soo-hyun throughout Asian countries, it is hardly convincing that Kim’s schedule is too packed with commercials and promotional events.

Hi guys...I'm here again... To answer your question Rachel...No...I still don't find any new ways of voting. Even those who had registered are now complaining about the lack of response from SBS. Many are still waiting for confirmation. Everyone is going crazy now...including the rival camps. (That's good to know at least...) But that is not the biggest problem! The biggest one is...once again SBS had changed their rule. Before, we can vote up to 5 votes perID but now...ONLY ONE. It doesn't sound that bad isn't it? But the problem is...we can only choose ONE CATEGORY...either popularity award or best couple award. Like...seriously SBS??? It was driving us all crazy!!! Now I know why SBS did a poll for BEST COUPLE a few days ago. They just wanted to see the response from the fans, to see who is the potential winner in the category and of course to see who is dominating it. Baby and JJH had won big time on the poll and SBS didn't like it. They want to give the award to another pair...and in my opinion to the one that's still airing right now. They want to boost that show more. That's when they decided to make the 50/50 rule this time. And why did they make it only one category per perID...it's because they want to spread the awards and to make sure everyone wins something that night. They don't want only one person dominating the votes. Maybe they thought baby's fans will stop voting for the couple awards and concentrate on the popularity award. So..the couple award is open for another pairing. SBS is being an A** right now...(sorry for my lack of respect right now...I'm mad...Just hope my students are not one of the lurkers here...) I don't understand their logic. They were fine when THE HEIRS and LMH swept clean last year but yet they want to make sure stars and baby don't do the same. Stars was a thousand times better and had the biggest impact on SBS as a broadcasting station and to KOREA itself!!! Why treat them like this? In a time like this that I hope baby and JJH don't attend the show at all. Why bother when your station is not siding with you. I've ranted long enough...sorry... but now you guys know...we are in a big dilemma right now.

Happy First Anniversary Do Min Joon!!!
Today marks the first year of You Who Came From The Stars. I can still remember clearly that day. How excited I was to watch it for the first time. AN ALIEN who walked the earth for 400 years... Who would have thought that drama would bring our baby to such a height in his carrier. Who would have thought that this drama would reignite the third hallyu wave in Asia. Who would have thought that our baby would become the KING of DRAMA and is praised for his excelIent acting all over Asia. And lastly...who would have ever thought that this drama would give our baby his very first ever DAESANG. Nobody... The age gap between him and JJH was so glaringly obvious that it's making a lot of people questioning the drama. Plus...a story of an alien was never done before and many people were so skeptical and a bit reluctant to accept the drama with open minds. The only good thing was both of them had shown such a good chemistry while acting together in a movie...and many were curious to see whether that chemistry would be an advantage for the drama. Boy...weren't they surprised???!!! The result was out of the world SUCCESS!!! I was damn proud of baby!!! He proved them wrong!!! So many memories this year. There were good and there were bad. We laughed and we cried together...took strength in each other. The feeling was so good!!! Nobody can deny that it was such a roller coaster year for baby and for us as his fans. He gained so many recognition because of this drama but at the same time he also gained so many haters as well. It comes with the fame I guess. Our baby has to take it all. DO MIN JOON had been such an iconic role...and many people loved him and love him still. I know that it'll be hard for baby to find something as good as this drama or as unique...but...I have faith in him. He'll find something that will make everyone in awe of his exceptional acting skills and make the haters eat their own words and begin to love and appreciate him as much as we love him now.
So...fighting baby!!!
And once again...happy first year anniversary to baby, Jun Ji Hyun and all the casts and crews of YWCFTS. You guys are awesome!!!

Will Kim Soo-hyun win SBS’ award?
Actor Kim Soo-hyun is one of the strongest candidates for an award at SBS’ upcoming year-end award ceremony, a local media outlet reported on Tuesday.
The Korean heartthrob has increased his presence in the K-drama scene with the immense success of his hit drama “My Love from the Star,” which has earned him a number of acting awards at home and throughout Asia.
However, Kim has yet to receive an acting award from SBS, one of the country’s three major broadcasting stations.Launched on Dec. 18 last year, the Wednesday-Thursday rom-com series began with a 15-percent audience rating -- a two-digit rating is rare for Korean dramas nowadays. The audience rating shot up quickly, soaring well above the 30 percent mark for the latter episodes.
But before the launch, not many critics predicted the success of “My Love from the Star.” The core difficulty lay in the age gap between Kim and the main actress, Jun Ji-hyun. Kim, 27, is seven years younger than the actress.
The concerns were not completely groundless, since many drama critics had pointed out the six-year age gap between Kim and actress Han Ga-in, the heroine in his previous period drama, “The Moon Embracing the Sun.”
Coming up with a better outcome in “My Love from the Star” with an older heroine, Kim is now praised for improving his acting skills enough to overcome the age difference.
Among the highlights of Kim’s scenes in “My Love from the Star” is his crying scene, dubbed “three-second crying scene” by fans. Towards the end of the drama, his character Do Min-joon, a handsome extraterrestrial creature who crashes on earth in the 17th century, breaks into tears for fear of losing a creature that he loves so dearly.
Now the public is watching to see whether Kim and “My Love from the Star” will win SBS’ top award at the year-end award ceremony on Dec. 31.
One of the strongest rivals is expected to be actor Jo In-sung and his drama “It’s Okay, That’s Love.”The drama portrays the love story between a crime novelist and a cold, chic psychiatrist.
The 34-year-old Jo’s acting skills have been openly acknowledged by drama directors.

Question: Why did you decide to star in ‘My Love From Another Star’?
The charm of the theme is more important than anything else. The character that I play is set up to be an alien, I am very much attracted to this, I wish to challenge a completely new character.
Question: Can you tell us the reason for the immense popularity of the works that you have starred in? And when you are choosing a project and in terms of acting, what is the standard and aim that you set for yourself?
The immense popularity for the works that I have starred in, to a great extent is truly due to good luck. In addition, it is really because many people were deeply attracted to the plot and characters. It is precisely because of everyone’s support, my works could have achieved immense popularity. When I am choosing a project, if there is no way that I am conceding, (I think he means that if no matter what the reason, he’s not letting go of a particular character and he has to take it up, then that’s the role that he wishes to undertake.) then that is the character. As for what I want from my acting, whether I am able to express the emotions of my character (is what I consider).
Question: How do you feel about being able to act opposite Jun Ji Hyun again?
After our first collaboration in ‘The Thieves’, this is the second time. I felt relaxed and delighted working along with her. If I am to talk about behind-the-scenes…as I was too relaxed, sometimes I could not control my emotions and I burst out laughing. Afterwards, we accommodated each other. It was always me who laughed, resulting in many NGs.
Question: How do you feel about acting as an alien? Is there anything that you refer to?
With regard to this character Do Min Joon, there is not really much that I can refer to. I had discussions and compared notes with the director and writer many times. In terms of acting out the character, I wanted to give it my best effort to make it prefect and I forged ahead unceasingly towards this goal. To be specific, I envisioned of using love to fill up the hole in Do Min Joon’s inner world and then I made my interpretation following this goal.
In terms of acting out this role, what is the most difficult part or what are the goals and aims that you have?
I worked hard to portray the long years that Do Min Joon has spent on earth. For just this part, I have spent already a lot of effort.
Question: There were many medical and professional terminology used, do you have any special technique for remembering these lines?
There were many words where I heard of them for the first time, I was very confused myself, but normally I would always pay attention to them, the words that appeared in my lines. I would understand their meanings carefully and then say them out. From this drama, I have also learnt a lot.
Question: Which is your favourite scene?
In this drama, there were many beautiful kiss scenes, especially the frozen lake kiss, I have a deep impression of that. (From the epilogue of episode 11)
Question: As a man yourself, what do you think the charm of Do Min Joon is?
I think it is his cold interior but warm exterior.At first glance, he looks like a guy who is not in the least interested in women. On the surface, he pretends that he could not care less but in actual fact, he was heartbroken long ago. He appears to be grumpy, but actually it comes from the deep love inside of him. I think these aspects are particularly charismatic.
Question: Do you want to act as a character like Cheon Song Yi?
Every time I look at the script, I would think that she is an extremely charming character. If it can be realised, I wish to challenge it once.
Question: Do Min Joon’s crying scenes have touched many people. Before filming them, what kind of mentality do you carry?
I do not actually imagine how I should cry, I just completely think of myself as Do Min Joon.
Question: ‘My Love From Another Star’ is loved by many viewers, what do you think is the reason?
Perhaps many people already think it is like that, I think the richly interesting theme should be the reason for its explosive popularity.
Question: For actor Kim Soo Hyun, what does ‘My Love From Another Star’ mean to you?
