A veteran actor of tremendous stature. Basically worked in movies. A list too long to mention here
’ Six flying dragons’and ‘W’ and ‘ Be Positive’ being the only dramas from what I have in my knowledge. This being the fourth one.
From the roles he has breathed life into and been loved by viewers AND the fact that he has rarely worked in dramas we can infer that the role of the Professor here is going to be an important and interesting one.
In recent times his performances have been acknowledged by awards and nominations in ‘Train from Busan’ and ‘ W’.
As you you can see from info below....we have every reason to be happy by the addition of Kim Eui Sung who will definitely give weight by his presence in this drama too. )

Never seen Chanyeol in a drama before. To me it does not matter if one is an idol or an actor. The most important factor is their acting ability.
The actors feed off each other. If one is not at par with the other....it weakens a particular scene and hence the viewing experience. Therefore, I hope for a strong acting cast so that the story can come across the screen as the writer envisioned it.
@bedifferent ......How awesome a memory of you seeing the guitarist play “Quein Sera” at Alhambra. All versions are beautiful but yes ...Michael Buble’s ‘Sway’ is definitely the best for me too.....Very excited even though have never been to Spain so cannot imagine how it must be for all who have been to Alhambra and Granada...
Am loving everyone who is sharing their personal experiences. By the time the drama starts in November it will seem as if we’ve been there...

Memories of Alhambra confirms Hyun Bin & Park Shin Hye casting
Last month we shared Park Shin Hye is considering Hyun Bin's ‘Memories of the Alhambra.’ Yesterday, she confirmed to star in this upcoming tvN drama, which makes the biggest lineup for a K-drama we’ve seen in 2018 so far. “Shin Hye will stage a K-drama comeback after two years of absence through ‘Memories of the Alhambra’,” tvN shared yesterday. For Hyun Bin, this would be his comeback in three years.
"I'm already looking forward to filming this drama, because I loved the script,” The ‘Doctor Crush’ actress told CJ E&M yesterday. “My on-screen character Jung Hee Joo is a bit different from the characters I've done in the past, and I can’t wait to introduce you to her. Please stay tuned!"
In ‘Memories of the Alhambra,’ venture capitalist Yoo Jin Woo (Hyun Bin) travels to Granada, Spain, and spends a night in an old hostel run by Jung Hee Joo (Park Shin Hye). This drama is a work of combination from PD Ahn Gil Ho who is known for his work ‘Secret Forest’ and writer Song Jae Joong who wrote ‘Queen In Hyun’s Men’, ‘Nine times travel’ and ‘W’.
Jung Hee Joo who will be played by Park Shin Hye in the drama is a cheerful character and hardworking one since she has to doo all the part0time jobs to make end meet for her grandmother and her sibling after the death of her parents. One day he met a mysterious man named Yoo jin Woo who suddenly pay a visit to her hostel.

@bedifferent Yes, SH is not filming as yet. She is on vacations in Spain and thoroughly enjoying it. Seeing the magnificent Gaudí’s buildings...Sagrada Familia , Park Güell ( where she posted the guitarist playing that beautiful music that for life of me can’t recall the name.....the role of classic guitarist an$ tour guide that she will plam in MOA) Also, watched Real Madrid vs FC Barcelona match yesterday...

@LyraYoo Seeing those gifs/ videos it’s not surprising that he is cast in action movies a lot. Though, he has been very popular as a romantic hero too. That’s very promising for this drama which will have both rom/action with fantasy in addition.
Shinhye is a great at action too getting rave reviews for doing the stunts herself as acknowledged by costar Kim Rae Won, PD besides the viewers. So the thought of them together makes me look forward to them ....besides the obviously beautiful visuals..

I have only watched HB’s and Song Hye Gyo’s ‘ Worlds Within’ ...
i liked it and both together too ( shipped them at the time
) though I believe it was not a rating success like his ‘ My Lovely Sam Soon’ and ‘Secret Garden’....both I couldn’t go beyond ep 1.
Not being helpful am I ?
But, I really like HB....a charismatic star...

This trip was planned and tickets bought 4 months back when Park Shin Hye did not know anything about this drama. It’s her destiny with Spain...
The other one being SH and HB as costars...
I wonder if she will stay back or return to SK to go to Spain with the team

@Lolastarlight1 : Yes, it does seem odd that no supporting cast is announced and Shinhye is already there. It makes me think that she has gone earlier with rest of the team yet to join.......
It’s generally been the pattern in the past that after a project and before a new one Shinhye travels and relaxes. She must have finished shooting for ‘The little house in the forest’. Hence I thought she might be making the most of the opportunity to see Spain as she prepares for her role in the drama.
@bedifferent Thanks for sharing your personal experience of the place. That will make watching the drama even more enjoyable. It sounds like a beautiful and memorable hike. ShinHye did mention her legs were shaking as that pic was taken. I read that they strongly advice not to hike alone but in groups and to at once inform if someone goes missing.
Just looking at these historically and beautifully fascinating pictures...Its an exciting thought that the filming for the drama might be in more places too other than Granada...

quiet here.....
got curious what it will be like in Granada, Spain in June. They did pick the right month to go there...
wish I could post pics...completely forgot how after so long...
here is what I found...
May-June best time to visit Granada with comfortable temperatures and some of its most important cultural events.
1: Feria del Corpus Cristi is the city's biggest annual event ( fair). People get all dressed up for a week full of festivities ( day and night )including processions and bullfights.
2: The International Festival of Music and Dance of Granada is one of the most attractive in early summer in Spain. It features theatrical performances at the Alhambra and other historic sites around the city.
The drama will have all this coupled with the incredible heritage of Granada, its monuments, its gardens and its history, the city during the first days of summer, in a party atmosphere as background setting.
Now imagine all this as the background setting....
It excites me beyond belief....
To see our OTP with their story in these surroundings.....
Can November come quick?

@LyraYoo @Lolastarlight1 Thanks! All info very positive in regards to the quality of production and drama on the whole...
1: Producers: Big which means no scrimping and short cuts compromising the quality of drama viewing.
2: SJJ: innovative writer who likes to walk her own path. Justified by critical success and nature of her dramas. In recent times ‘W’ was written on her own. QIHM and Nine she had a co-writer. Haven’t watched any of the 3 so wonder what difference if any seen because of this. I remember watching ‘The three Musketeers ‘ that I enjoyed a lot.
There does not seem to be any confusion in regards to MOA being action, fantasy, melo. But, mention of games setting does set me wondering as to their nature and extent..
3: PD: I really loved Secret Forest, Mrs Cop 2015 ....with Rooftop Prince a fantasy which was a rating success ....so feel happy that he is in the directorial seat
4: No need to say anything about the beautiful setting of Alhambra Granada. It speaks for itself
5: last but not the least.....the leads...HB-PSH.....perfectly cast for action, mystery, melo and.....fantasy genre. Both big names home and abroad...should bring in the expected sales, ratings and critical acclaim

yes, as long as the finished plot is a good one and drama executed well...
Right now it seems to cater for the likes of all viewers..
action, mystery, melodrama, music, beautiful setting, loved cast and
sci-fi... These days goid sci-fi does require use of tech depending on how much and what kind..Never watched any of SJJ’s drama so can only guess. Even if I had it doesn’t really ensure athis drama would be same since a writer does like to evolve and be innovative.
On a a side note....wonder who will join as the supporting cast..
