Rough translation.....Hyun Bin about Park Shin Hye & Memories of the Alhambra
MOA uses a lot of new elements so he is very curious about the outcome. He need to wear spectacles and enter the game which is not easy. Each scene uses several kind of filming methods.
So it’s very challenging for him and he wants to film with good sense of responsibility. He wants to meet audience with new kind of story but he is very curious about it too because the drama needs a lot of post production works
About working working with Park Shin Hye...It’s very good because Park Shin Hye herself has a very good personality so he feels happy filming with her...

Great, now I just want to get on the first flight to Spain! I’m really looking forward to the premiere of tvN’s upcoming romance Memories of the Alhambra, if only because I get to see Hyun Bin (The Negotiation) back on the small screen, with Park Shin-hye (Doctors) as his co-star. And if the three short teasers that were just released are anything to go by, this show is going to be gorgeous to look at.
Memories of the Alhambra follows Yoo Jin-woo (played by Hyun Bin), the CEO of an investment firm, who travels to Granada, Spain on business. There, he ends up staying at a hostel that is owned by Park Shin-hye’s character, Jung Hee-joo. The synopsis doesn’t reveal much else besides that they both get caught up in a strange turn of events, which could turn out to be anything and everything with this writer, Song Jae-jung, of W–Two Worlds, Nine, and Queen In-hyun’s Man.

The teasers didn’t reveal much about anything, but they definitely succeeded if the whole point of them was to whet my appetite for this show: The shots of southern Spain, the music, the lighting were all so romantic and atmospheric, and now I just want this show to start immediately. Besides Hyun Bin’s return to dramaland and my soft spot for Park Shin-hye, what makes me even more excited is knowing that Memories of the Alhambra is in pretty reliable hands, in terms of writing and directing. PD Ahn Gil-ho of Forest of Secrets is directing, and I’m curious to see how he fares with the suspense romance Alhambrapurports to be.
Memories of the Alhambra will premiere at the end of the year, and is slated to start its run on December 1.

Actually these pics are not from the MOA team/ cast but were taken by a fan/admirer Tamara_Luca_ in Hungary while the team was there for filming few weeks back. She agreed to share them now courtesy LolaStarlight1on twitter.
The MOA team still does not seem to have any intention of giving us any news at the moment it seems...September is starting ...just 21/2 months remaining. Let’s see if we have anything in this month....a mini-trailer?...

@soziko50bal.....I have to agree with you ...The plot was well scripted, the characters...Dalpo , Inha, grandfather, father, reporters, brother ...all were interesting and their relationships with touches of humour lightening the dark areas..
The acting was top notch, director did his job well and I loved the music too....
a drama that I can watch again....something that I say for few ones only...

@JojoCx3...somehow, I feel we will not realise in some places where a particular part of the drama has been filmed specially when it’s indoors....simply because of similar setting, landscape etc of the places.
Did you notice that HB has been in the same jeans and jacket in Hungary which we saw him in Granada, Girona too
So, If Chanyeol was not in Slovenia does not mean he will not be there.
Just my feelings...
Though, something did happen to him because there were blood stains on his T-shirt in the railway station pics in Hungary...as you pointed out
so many conjectures because of lack of drama related info.

It seems SH may be returning home today from Slovenia since her stylist is flying back....
So much assumptions and guess work based on the people surrounding the cast and those involved in the drama production....
what have they done to us...turning into a stalker???

Here is Min Jin Woong ( Seo Hung Joon) swimming in the beautiful Lake Bled, Slovenia...He plays the role of the secretary to Yoo Jin Woo ( Hyun Bin)
The visuals of this drama are not a joke....from the cast to the setting...
would be worth watching for just that even for a non-interested viewer

But actually now I don’t have any expectations until October end...because right now HB has a MV out and another one coming next month. Also, with Netflix collaborations like MS they don’t seem to start publicity lots before telecast......so I am good..
@JojoCx3....I know SH will definitely go....she is already friends with DO since their MV Annoying brother together and now Chanyeol. But, even if she had not been she loves music and regularly attends concerts

This drama is th3 combination of romantic comedy and fantasy written by the writer Song Jae Jung who is known for her great works. The two will get into series of strange things that happened to them after their meeting in the old hostel in the foreign country. The viewers are anticipating the story of the two of them that will unfold along with the beautiful and exotic background.
[ Needless to say....Though, all good artists in their own right but .....Hyun Bin-Park Shin Hye to me appear to be the most appealing and charismatic OTP of them. Let’s see at the end of these series...]

I love the filming abroad since we get to travel other countries. But, I got to know more about the places, the culture, history etc while researching them because of curiosity while watching their dramas. That’s how I learned even more about South Korea, China, Thailand, Philippines and Malaysia and recently Spain ( As I followed the team to Granada, Barcelona, Terrassa and Girona). Time to research Hungary and Slovenia now
They did film in Seoul too after coming back from Spain uptil recently....Paradise City ( luxury resort, Seoul ), Incheon airport, a graffiti alley and I am sure other places we don’t know of. The varied nature of locations foreign and local does heighten interest in/curiosity about the plot. It’s a pity MOA is only a 16 ep drama. They surely will have footage for more episodes by the time filming winds up.
The financial aspect of the drama is huge! From the cast, production team and filming abroad ...they haven’t spared the money. The investor Studio Dragon is producing the drama for Netflix. It’s also likely to be sold to China’s Subscription over-the-top OTT Video market that is booming. Millions are forecasted to watch in 2018 via the subscription streaming services like iQiyi, Youku Tudou or Tencent. ( source: The Investor Korea)
So, I hope it does really well from all aspects...the financial, for our stars SH and HB AND from ours !

From the departing team leaving for filming abroad ( Hungary/ Slovenia ) ...it seems it will be for a month again. Most probably because HB need to be back for his MV Premiere on 19th Sep.
@frozentundra : we seem to be on the same page in regards to our expectations from the drama and writers in general...

@frozentundra : Totally agree there about people’s preconcieved expectations about a drama often letting them down specially in genre like fantasy /AR. That’s why I am quite content about not knowing any details about the plot or filming pictures. But, after reading what you had to say....will pray that Augmented reality will be part of it.
Only completed ‘The Three Musketeers’ which I enjoyed. Started QIHM and ‘Nine...’ long time back but couldn’t go beyond Episodes 2 & 1 respectively. Not too enamoured of the Fantasy genre. Maybe, should once again give them a go after your illuminating input.
Am hoping for a well written strong female protagonist....not an insipid forgettable one that is just an extension of the male lead. That would be a total waste of SH’s abilities and this OTP. Also, would make for a boring watch.
QIHM and Nine were written in collaboration. SJJ won the best screenplay award for ‘ W ‘ so am hoping for even better results for MOA.
After all one is supposed to get better with time and the big advantage is the cast / director to make her creation become alive for us viewers. The beautiful setting will surely make things even more watch worthy.
With so many things to look forward to....I find myself ignoring the rare anxious moments and feel more excited about the drama.

That’s great news....second phase of filming abroad begins....more beautiful and culturally rich places. I got to learn so much more about Spain while following the filming. Now, cannot wait to do that for Hungary and Slovenia... I believe HB has Press conference for his movie Negotiations on Aug 9 and SH also has CF filming....
@frozentundra : really appreciate your in-depth input on SJJ’s dramas and writing style.
She sounds creative with her script...walking a path of her own. That’s bound to invite lots of discussions and critics. Something that brings lot of anticipation along with a little anxiety for HB-SH followers who want this highly lookforward comeback drama to do well.
The Stranger PD at helm of the original script supported with excellent cast and what seems like hefty budget does translate into good production. Enough to look forward to Nov...

tvN's "Memories of the Alhambra" (script: Song Jae Jung, production: Ahn Gil Ho) scheduled to be aired in December is a suspense romance drama. It tells a story of the CEO of an investment company Yoo Jin Woo (Hyun Bin) when he encounters strange events at the hotel managed by Jung Hee Joo (Park Shin Hye) on his business trip to Granada, Spain.
The drama "Memories of the Alhambra" started filming in May to enhance the quality of the work by producing half of the drama in advance. The drama's script reading featured most of the cast members, including scriptwriter Song Jae Jung and director Ahn Gil Ho, along with the main cast such as Hyun Bin, Park Shin Hye, Park Hoon, Kim Eui Sung, Kim Yong Rim, Chan Yeol, Lee Seung Joon, Min Jin Woong, Jo Hyun Chul, Lee Si Won, Han Bo Reum, Ryu Abel, Lee Hak Joo, Lee Jae Wook, and young actress Lee Re, etc. The scene on that day was prominent with the realistic acting skill of the actors and the script with a coherent structure which arose the curiosity right from the beginning. The reading began with the special determination of director Ahn Gil Ho when saying, "Finally, it started. So far, everyone has been making efforts to make something so dream-like come true. I want to give the viewers a good work with high quality."
Hyun Bin has perfectly transformed into the role of an investment company's CEO Yoo Jin Woo - who is extraordinarily talented and originally was a doctor of engineering with innate competence in game development. He grasped the core of the drama by skillfully adjusting the pace. Hyun Bin constantly depicted two different images as his character is someone who is, on one hand, fearless and adventurous to the point it's reckless yet cold and sarcastic on the other.
Park Shin Hye played Jung Hee Joo, the manager of Hanin hotel in Granada, Spain. She is somewhat clumsy at the sense of practical economy and on the contrary, full of diverse artistic sensitivity. With her bright and bubbly charm, Park Shin Hye portrayed Jung Hee Joo in a way so lovely that the whole studio burst into laughter. In particular, Hyun Bin and Park Shin Hye have depicted an image of a man and woman connected by a special fate right from their first meeting in such a realistic manner that everyone in the filming studio got immersed in a blink of an eye. The romantic suspense taking place in Spain's ancient city is also an element which arouses people's curiousity.
In addition, the enthusiastic acting of the actors - those who helped the dramas shine with their strong presence in any of the works - contributes to increasing the tension of the work. In the drama, Park Hoon plays the role of the competitor Cha Hyung Suk who has made a deep rivalry with Yoo Jin Woo (played by Hyun Bin); Kim Eui Sung takes the role of Cha Byung Joon who is a famous teacher and Hyung Suk's father at the same time; Kim Yong Rim is Oh Young Shim - Jung Hee Joo's grandmother, who lives and cares for her grand children in the unfamiliar land of Spain; Chan Yeol plays the role of Jung Se Joo - Hee Joo's troublemaker brother, etc. All actors who appeared at the scene not only completely transformed into their characters but also attracted the public's attention when showing the impressive collaborations at the first script reading.
