Translated by my Korean friend, I have nothing to do with this translation.

The most beautiful lady in the world, Yeonjoo! She got me LABO. Thanks it was good! Kangchul are you looking at this.

The Photo was posted August 8th 11:47 am.

[You have no idea how happy I was to receive this message just now lol ~ This confirms my suspicions.]

Sorry @lovely_skham I must have missed something.  What suspicions did you have?

@ilwoo_aein if you want to get the full set of scripts (unfortunately it's all in korean, no translation), the 50 pg contiki booklet (likely including photos and contents not in the photo essay book), and the other preorder goodies (currently still under negotiation, but may or may not include the comic vol 34 & 35.), please place your order via the 2 official preorder sites yes24 or innolife, by 16 Oct. links can be found at cafe.daum.net/Wdvd

only preorders by 16 Oct, will get the preorder goodies and the standard goodies. Otherwise it's just the standard retail DVD set, still Director's Cut, since the format has been confirmed. i think Blu-Ray especially maybe by preorder only cause of cost and demand issues, they won't be reissuing  that set, whileas for dvd they may do so without the goodies.

Given that sometimes other sites order a few preorder sets to resell to fans, you may still be able to get the preorder goodies set when you order after the deadline via non-official channels e.g  yesasia.com but it's not a guarantee.

yes i'm still here. will return end Oct with the translations. btw there is a translation of KC's letter to YJ. has anyone posted it yet?  I have the file somewhere on my PC but i have to dig. Perhaps someone will find it and post it before I do. If not, I will post it when I have tidy up the mumble jumble on my PC. Please be patient.

@dominjoonssi Nice to see you're still here.  Looking forward to your translations.  I saw a translation of KC's letter by @irenetan on pg 852.

Just an FYI to people wanting to order the non blu-ray version of the Director's cut DVD.  I confirmed with Innolife by email that the DVD cut only comes in Region Code 3.  According to Wikipedia, Region Code 3 is for Southeast Asia, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau.  If you are in North America, it won't work unless you have a DVD player that can play multi regions or is region free.  Typically DVD players are locked for their specific region.  North America is Region Code 1.

Apologies for slacking here but can someone be kind enough to send me the link to preorder dvds?   I would appreciate it much!

I don't have the link for yes24.com which is all in Korean but it is apparently cheaper if you can read Korean.

Here are the links for Innolife:

    Blu-ray version:  http://shop.innolife.com/item.php?grp=1&cid=419&iid=193481

    DVD (non Blu-ray) version:  http://shop.innolife.com/item.php?grp=1&cid=419&iid=193544

since the Blu-ray has been confirmed, as long as you preorder before the deadline closes on 16 Oct, the preorder bonus gifts are the same for both sets.

they will be releasing another statement clarifying the bonuses, which I understand most are stilll under nego, except for the confirmed ones - the deleted scenes, and the bound scripts (I'm still confused whether they are printing all 16 or just the last one).  Others, like the BTS, NGs scenes, commentaries, interviews,  comic books and manhwa illustrations are still under discussion.

Whether DVD or Blu-Ray, just pick the one which suits your budget. please help spread the news for the DVD set. preorders just started, and the DVD  set is more affordable for fans who had yet to order due to the high cost of Blu-Ray set.

Thanks for clarifying.  This makes it easier for me since I really want to buy the director's cut but I couldn't pull the trigger since the blu-ray is way out of my budget. :sweatingbullets:  I was afraid if I order the regular DVD version I wouldn't get all the same bonuses so I'm happy now.  :)  Still a big expense but I think this is a great show for my first kdrama DVD purchase.

Finally, the Director’s cut Blu-ray/DVD was confirmed.

The current progress information is as follows:

    1. The Editing of the Original Drama

Because the director delivered all the necessary parts of the filmed drama for the original broadcast, and the deleted scenes were deleted solely for making the smooth flow of the story, the director decided that re-editing the whole drama would be unnecessary. So, the episodes in the Blu-ray/DVD will be little or not much different from the original drama. (The minor flaws will be all re-edited, the previous story (“지난 이야기”) part and next episode preview (“예고”) will be omitted.)

However, the director decided to add all the deleted scenes at the end of the whole drama.

Thus, the W Director’s cut Blu-ray/DVD will constitute images in the following order: the original episodes + all the deleted scenes + additional images.

    Pre-order Bonuses/Freebies (#2 ~ #4)

    2. The Script

The screenwriter agreed on producing a copy of the script as a pre-order bonus/freebie.

    3. The Illustrations and Comic Book (Webtoon)

The promotion team has requested the illustrations and comic book(s) as freebies. However, it was later communicated that the portrait rights issue has to be cleared before any confirmation.

Other pre-order bonuses, including the illustrations and comic book, are in discussion.

    Please wait a little more.

    4. Interviews

As video interviews or written interviews are planned to start soon, our team is gathering interview questions.

Thank you for your sincere interest.

@dominjoonssi Thanks so much for always keeping us updated.  Does this mean that apart from the quality of the DVD, there will be no difference in terms of content and extras/gifts between the diector's cut blu-ray version and the director's cut DVD (non blu-ray) version?

  6. @greenyjunior Chiming in my thanks for the photos. They look so great.  I'm so excited and can't wait to get my copy but I think it will take 2-3 weeks.  My friend who always orders stuff says it usually takes that long for her so I'm glad that you can share the photos now.  I have to be patient.  Breath in Breath out.  Aaaahh, nope not working! Where's my book? :tears:

@jejuhallabong When I saw that hospital bed scene picture I thought the same thing.  Does the blanket really need to be between them.  :phew:

  7. I am a silent lurker because I find it hard to express myself and a lot of what I think and feel is the same as you guys so I often feel there's no need to say repeat what others have said.  But with so much going on I wanted to voice myself too.  I only use this forum to get info on our ship because the people here are great and so supportive of the actors and even in this day and age I don't use social media like Twitter or Instagram.   I would hate it if others who are immature and go overboard ruin the enjoyment of our ship and people feel the need to restrict themselves from freely posting what they want.  This goes for the staff of LJS and HHJ and to everyone here who are so kind to give us updates.  It makes me sad because it feels like the crazy fans bully the nice ones by making us hold back.  You want to share your enjoyment by posting what you discovery with others who feel the same as you.   I think most of us here feel the way Oh Yeon Joo does when she said, "I'm one of those people who want you to have a happy ending. I'm really your fan."  We're here because we're supportive fans who want LJS and HHJ to be happy. I ship these two because there is something special when they are together and the feeling that comes from watching them makes me remember the time when you first fall in love.  If they want to be together, they have every right to be together without all the crazies making it difficult for them.

I'm sincerely hoping things work out for them as a couple but l've become a fan of both of them and I will support them as individual actors too.

  8. Was there any viewer ratings posted for the special?  Just curious if it did well locally.

@cheskaunnie I'm suffering from W-Withdrawal too.  I've watched all of Lee Jong Suk's dramas before, not because I was a big fan of his but just because I enjoyed the shows he's been in so whenever I hear he's going to be in something new I put it on my "To Watch" list.  I never expected I would get so obsessed with this show and OTP.  I've been watching him for years but I never visited any thread related to LJS or his dramas before this and I'm here and in the JongJoo shipper thread refreshing every free minute I have.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the thread.  I'm mostly a silent reader & since I'm not ready to move on l'll keep hanging around checking out your posts.

  9. I noticed a couple of things in the preview for episode 14.  First, it looks like Kang Chul brought the tablet into the W world.  When he is getting beaten up by Han Chul Ho, I'm pretty sure that's the father's tablet on the table behind them.  Or could it be that Han Chul Ho has come into the real world?  The second thing I saw in the preview is that they show Yeon Joo alive.  She has vital signs on the monitor.  There's also the possibility that she did die when they were trying to resuscitate her but then somehow she comes back to life.  The writer has a history of killing the main character temporarily in her other dramas.  I can't stand the wait.  Since this drama started each week between episodes is soooooo unbearably long.

but as you mentioned,we can't forget small details while watching W.

Is it Wed yet? How will I survive post W?

OMG what is this show doing to me.  When I read your last line, my brain literally saw Wedding day....Is it Wedding day yet?   I know what my subconscious mind wants. Throw in some babies and that's my happy ending.  Kekeke

  11. Thanks to all the live recappers in this thread.  I’ve only followed a handful of live recapping for other shows on the forum but seriously you guys are the best.  Week after week, I actually feel like I’m watching the episode with so many screen shots, gifs and video clips.  Hope you realize how much it’s appreciated when you’re an obsessive fan but can’t watch live.  Unfortunately, it’s going to get me fired from my job because I can’t concentrate for the whole day after an episode airs.  I’m so upset that tomorrow I won’t be able to follow the live recapping since I have so many meetings.  :tears:

I like how the writer has made KC and OYJ destined to be together.  Despite what happens and the different circumstances they are in it’s their fate that they are meant to fall in love.  A connection develops by just them being in the same place at the same time and certain things do not change despite the different time.  Even though we had the reset of time, OYJ kisses KC like the first time and this triggers him to start looking for her again.  In the preview, he even pulls up to her in his car while she is in the street.

The way the episode was going, I never expected a kiss scene.  It was so well done…the way she brought her face close to his but started higher than his mouth and he was staring at her lips and lifted his eyes up to look at hers.   You can feel all her sadness, heartbreak and love.  I can't wait for them to meet again and spend time together falling in love.  Then we can get our #4 moments. :P

*watches instagram video of upcoming otp ice cream scene*

Oh, she definitely looks concerned and worried, waiting for Kang Chul. Why? She's definitely wearing the same clothes from the end of ep 9 but he is in a different outfit so how long has she been in W? Without friends and without help? Seriously, at this point, if I was her, I'd carry large amounts of cash in my pockets at all times.

He takes money from her? To pay for stuff? Why? Omo, does he not have access to funds?

He bought ice cream :tears:  Guys, he better remember her at this point because if not, I'm cursing and crying at him to stop hurting Yeon Joo.

Could it be that they're back in the real world together in the market?  If OYJ is giving KC money then it would make sense if they're in her world.  But then why would she still be in the same clothes from ep 9 and he isn't? I better not speculate where they are cause I'm sure I'll be wrong. :vicx:

  13. Hello.  I have been a stalker lurker on this forum since W began.  I love reading everyone's thoughts and ideas and especially appreciate everyone involved in the live recapping since I can't watch while it's airing.

I've been looking at the posts of the recent filming on location and thought Oh Yeon Joo's clothes look the same as when she is transported into the W world after the mass shooting at the TV station.  So she seems stuck there and time has passed because Kang Chul is wearing different clothes???  I took some screen caps of her outfit at the hospital.  Does anyone else think the same?  I can't even guess what's going to happen next in this drama but I'm enjoying all the twists and turns and unpredictability.

Infinite bananas for you @kilaalaa. You save my heart right now!!! omg. Without your translations, I'd seriously be dead confused about this finale. The husband game thing is so emotionally grating that I'm a bit worn out ("surviving" the hunger games doesn't = your limbs are in tact lol), but stepping back and looking at the bigger picture, I'm ultimately content with the show.

I agree.  Reading just a few scenes subbed looks like it's more complete than we thought (at least from DS & TK's relationship).  DS didn't want to put additional stress on her parents because of the double in-laws stigma, they dated for 2 years (so does that mean they married in 1997?), TK proposed with a turtle, TK doesn't take sleeping pills anymore.  Can't wait to see both ep 19 & 20 with subs to get a fuller understanding.

Wish I could hit one like for each gif.  These were great OTP moments.  Loved when TK hit SW for being DS's crush.  He got back at him for hurting DS's feelings...And SW's clueless. The back hug was nice.  No kdrama's complete without a back hug. Kiss scene is even better than a back hug.  So funny when TK walked out on DS dancing and singing at karaoke just like when they were teenagers.

Why does it have to end?!

  16. I liked the ending.  I kept looking at the time thinking no...it's almost over, don't go.  I feel really sad as if everyone moved away and left me and I will never see these friends again.  :bawling:  I wish they could give us more of DS-TK's relationship too but I'm going to use my own imagination to fill in the gaps.  I can only imagine everyone happy and well in their adult lives with their own new families.  When the gang gets together in the present, all their spouses and kids would be there too.

Thanks to everyone here for making the whole experience more enjoyable.
