I don't think this is likely, but I read a K-netz theory that Jin-ha killed Rhea:

    • Jin-ha gets Rhea to come to Korea, dresses her just like herself, throws her out the window
    • Gets on a plane, and returns to Korea dressed as Rhea

That's a wild theory, but likely with what happened in ep 13 & 14, and how Rhea was so confused abt Louis's wife or how she didn't know Korean or EP's 2nd son, this Rhea isn't Jin-ha.

After knowing Louis's pathetic personality, I'm leaning to the theory he's the one killing his wife. He's an owner of a pharmaceutical company, btw, he could turn JH into delusion by drugs to the extent she jumped out from her penthouse, given fact that JH suffered from mental and insomnia problem. Especially, Rhea came right after JH passed away. Maybe, it's his plan.

Not bad-mouthing abt the deceased, but I must say karma serves JH well. She lured Louis on purpose to crush EP's pride and Phd studying process in France. She was successful marrying to him only to learn that she was just a replacement to Rhea (a Doppelgänger, to be exact). EP should send a bouquet to JH's grave again to thank her for snatching Louis, causing EP to end up with hubby-of-the-year Jae-ung. Otherwise, that trashy Louis would leave EP or whoever his wife when Rhea shows up.

2 last eps this week: I hope they make a nice wrap-up.

And I will always wonder why Eun-pyo doesn't consult her husband, a police detective and the best husband on this show, when she receives incriminating evidence about people around her. The biggest mystery of all!

    My thoughts:

Firstly, EP is not emotionally intelligent. She herself also admitted to her cousin that she was only good at studying. Some ppl function this way, IQ is high but EQ is below average. Maybe, her son is the same.

So, she usually acts on her emotions, which is impulsive and irrational.

Secondly, the whole thing is involved Jinha, whom EP has a love-hate relationship with. It's too much for a low-EQ like EP to handle. When JH's fake nude photos were spread around, she wanted to protect her friend's privacy and dignity. So, she couldn't consult her husband directly abt it, but she asked how to do in such a case. She told Louis, but this trash person just wanted to cover it up and enjoyed his love life.

When she got nude photo of creepy director, her relationship with JH turned sour after the revelation of JH snatching Louis from her on purpose. EP didn't want to involve in anymore, let alone consulting her husband. However, Yeong-mi was too much as a human-being. Spreading fake stories abt the deceased is the worst.

Some may say EP should step away and mind her own business after knowing how JH treated her. I'm glad that EP rose above her feelings towards JH and spoke up for not a friend but the deceased (and a mom to Henry), while even her husband (Louis) didn't give a damn abt his son's mom's dignity.

Thirdly, the whole thing is involved Louis, indirectly. Jae-ung already knew he was her ex. I think she didn't want to mention Louis to her husband.

I'm glad in the end, she called her husband when she had concrete evidences. That creep will stay in jail for quite a while.

I think EP is quite a complicated character, who has suffered from mental issue too (inferior feeling). She indeed has a busy life: lecturing, raising 2 kids where her husband is not always around, and above all, living in an abnormal and toxic neighborhood. I hope she can work on her imperfection and learn how to deal with her emotions.

By the way, men in this drama are really on a race for who is the worst piece of trash. Who do you guys think is worst?

    1. Louis

    2. CH's husband

    3. Creepy director

    4. CH's ex

For me, so far it's Louis, who appears like a gentleman but rotten inside out. Now I suspect this trashy person killed JH directly or indirectly. He's a genius, he could turn a murder case to suicide one.

I've been trying to figure out why Chun-hee would make a deal with Dr. Jerk to marry her.

But after thinking it over, I guess the answer is that the hospital would try to blame her anyway for the patient's death, because it will be less liability for them to blame a nurse than to admit that one of their doctors screwed up.

So she decided that she will be blamed anyway, so she might as well get something out of it.

Anyway, her life is much bleaker than I assumed, and honestly, I still like her and hope things turn out okay for her.

I do like how they introduce much heavier-than-expected storylines, but still also manage to work the burdens of motherhood stuff into it.

Besides, she came from a poor family. Even her mom told her to be good with Dr. Jerk's family although that family treats her badly, just because that family could raise a doctor (a $h!tty one). Her priority in life is to make her kids become doctors. What a stressful and sad life!

I don't know, I just can't dislike her at some points. Now CH and EP seem to be back on good term after they found sympathy with each other abt their kids' mental problem. But I'm not sure if it's permanent, or CH has another motive to take advantage of EP, a police's wife, later.

Kim Gyu-ri is back! Her name is Leah Bunuel. How does she have the same last name as he does? Is she his sister or something? So mysterious.

Anyway, I knew that the Jinha mystery isn't over.

    --

    My prediction:

Chun-hee went to Jinha's place that night due to Jinha's threat to report her to the police. But when she arrives, she witnessed Jinha's murder by Creepy Director. She's keeping quiet about it because she doesn't want anyone to know why she was at Jinha's place.

I know Chun-hee did some very bad things, but I hope that she somehow ends up okay, at least for the sake of her kids.

Hopefully the police will catch all the drug dealers and Dr. Jerk and throw them all in jail. In the same cell with Creepy Director, please.

    Sorry for cutting your post...

I also think new girl resembling Jin-ha is his sister (not blooded, maybe both of them were adopted). That explains why he looked surprised at EP's ceremony when he saw Jin-ha stepped in.

If that's true, it's a bit creepy that he dumped EP and got married to a girl resembling his sister. "Oedipus complex" or what?

I don't think CH killed JH or witnessed JH's murder, as she looked so shocked in the rainy morning when she learned abt JH's death. She scared for her life that she was the last person meeting JH and giving her drugs.

Btw, I wonder what drugs CH is selling? police didn't find anything abnormal after performing autopsy on Jinha.

Usually, in detective stories, the most obvious suspect is not the murderer. So, I think Creepy director is not the one. With many twists here and there in this drama so far, it won't be shocking to me if the real murderer is someone else, like CH's ex or better yet, CH's husband. :sweatingbullets: The top priority now is sending this jerk to hell by express.

CH is bad, but I hope there is light at the end of the tunnel for her, although she's so deep in her own $h!t.

Keep trying to make sense of how she faked her death, but literally people saw her corpse in the rain. I don’t know how that she didn’t get hypothermia or die from faking her death in that weather.

I also hope JH only faked her death. Henry insists on staying instead of leaving for France with Louis, maybe he knows his mom is still alive? The kid is not so shocked abt his mom's death, btw.

But with her corpse and autopsy, look like she's long gone... Except the case she cooperated with the police to fake her death to help them find out the supply of the drugs.

I wonder why GMG's rating always dropped to below 3% on Wed, then soared on Thurs.

The audience forgot to watch it on Wed, and suddenly remembered it on Thurs ? :sweatingbullets:

Interesting development that she's delivering drugs to JH.

The encounter must be a shock for both of them, plus CH's ex watching them from far. Who knows these fine ladies have such dark secrets.

Too bad Jinha died after that encounter. It would be more interesting and awkward if they could meet again at parent meeting after this drug delivery. I don't understand why they kill off Jinha character this early. I don't think CH was the murderer if that's a murder case, judging from CH's reaction after learning abt Jinha's death. But we can't exclude the possibility Jinha died of a drug overdose.

Dark side asides, I must admit CH is the coolest mom so far, especially with the outfit she wore when delivering drugs.  :sweatingbullets:Her "tearful" act at the police station was funny to me. Can't hate CH character, yet.

  9. Good Lord, whoever titled the drama as "Green mothers club", we need to talk!

With all that happened so far, it should be "dark mothers club". It gets darker and darker episode by episode... Before the drama is on-air, I said in LYW's thread that soft family drama like this drama (purely based on this title) is not my cup of tea. Guess the writer read that comment and turned the drama to the whole new level with jealousy, betrayal, psycho problem, suicide/murder, drug criminals. More is coming in next eps, I guess.

I THOUGHT this drama was about forgiveness and they will become friends at the end, i was wrong

    who is the murder?

Chun-hee is pretty bad, she want Eun Pyo to take the blame and inser doubt and Eun Pyo's husband

what she did is bad, but I can understand...

She's in deep RickRoll'D with Jinha's case. Her daughter just got rejected from gifted school, her son's studying result was not so good. Her husband just laughed like maniac and made sarcastic comments instead of comforting his daughter and wife. Seriously, he's the worst man so far in this drama, 2nd worst is Louis. Then, she was humiliated by her so-called mom-friends abt the rejection. It was like a sky-fall on her all at once, I would go insane as well if I were her.

I think she just acted out of anger. She felt betrayed after knowing EP lied to her abt her hubby's job. No criminal wants to be close to a policeman's wife, let alone making friends.

I guess EP's hubby is not that shallow to believe in what CH said. Instead, she still remains as the number 1 suspect. He's a detective after all.

I'm kinda feel bad for CH, actually. I'm interested in her love story with the ex, why they broke up as it looks like they still have feeling to each other till now. Was it because they were poor and she wanted her future kids to have bright future with good education, so she ended up with the doctor?

What a turn of events.  Whoa… so now it’s a mystery and murder case.  Don’t really think it’s her own will to self-destruction.

At least there are 3 suspects – Chunhee, the director (hubby of Young Mi) and step mom of Jinha.  Probably not Louis.

This drama has quite complex plot.  It does consist of secrets and psychological warfare as they mentioned.  Good for those who want the brains to do some digging.

I still think it's a suicidal case. She felt like everyone abandoned her (her parents, EP, Louis). She should have gone to to a shrink instead of taking sleeping pills.

I feel bad for her too,... it was like she were crying out for help with her dual behavior because of her unstable mental problem, but everyone, including her husband and "bestie", thought she was crazy and unbearable. I agree with "What's the point of being beautiful and having all that money? If there's a hole in your heart, none of that means anything."

Her mystery death will reveal the true color and dark sides of many ppl involved: CH and her husband, Louis, EP, director (or writer, I'm not sure his job)...

I think there are few "errors" with the drama production. EP's 2nd son had injured leg and must go through operation, but after few days, there was scene that he jumped up and down without any problem. And did the police come into conclusion that Jinha jumped off from her penthouse in 20+ floor? then why there was no wound or even small scratches in her face or head? or someone killed her and carried her there? then that was a lousy criminal cover-up.

    2. This drama very inspiring. It shows that mothers job is not easy. It seems that being a dad is easier than being a mother. All dads in this drama only need to go work and earn much money to support their children education. While mothers working very hard every minute. Hahaha. Wake up earlier, preparing breakfast, preparing kids lunch boxes and snacks, their uniforms, choosing good school and course places, helping kids to learn at home, go socialize with other mothers, becoming mother’s club member, and between that mothers need to be perfect. LOL. Behind every successful kid, there is his/her perfect mother

yep, agree, mom job is one of the most difficult job in the world.

This drama is a slice of life. I'm not a mom yet myself, but I'm surrounded by moms from different companies at my office floor. Sometimes, I heard them discussing abt their kids' studies, which extra class or teacher is best, which academies for talents at different grades/ages they should send kids to. No joke, they all want their kids to study at best schools with sky-high tuition or go aboard for further studying. Their chatting makes me question myself if I'm able to be a good mom in the future. :sweatingbullets:

During covid time last year, most of schools (especially kindergartens and elementary schools) were closed. Some moms brought their kids to work, so that they could take care of or play & study with them. Fortunately, we have free space for kids in the floor. No dad brought kids to work, btw. That's the difference b/w mom and dad.

Mom job is such a lovely, but also stressful job.

    5. Why there’s no mother father couple who looks romantic in this drama? Hahahaaa is this drama trying to showing us too about a real relationship between husband-wife? Hahahaaa

Haha, I think Eun-pyo and her hubby somewhat has the best (romantic) relationship among couples. The detective is a nice man, who shielded his wife from his nagging mom and let her go outside for fresh air a.k.a drinking/clubbing.

The way he "complained" abt how tired he was after spending a day looking after the kids is kinda cute.

It would be a mess if Eun-pyo's hubby is the one discovering Chun-hee's drug smuggling and also, that her hubby killed someone in the past. Likely, it's the case as his colleague at the police station knows the guy whom Chun-hee works with.

Guess the hubby didn't feel good.

love triangle is right there :D

If Jin-ha's hubby kisses Eun-pyo (I think he won't or Eun-pyo will avoid his kiss), Jin-ha is going to get jealous over the fact that her husband gets the chance to kiss Eun-pyo while she doesn't.... :sweatingbullets:

Jin-ha behaves weirdly in an uncomfortable way to Eun-pyo. She's over-obsessive about Eun-pyo to the extend she might snatch Eun-pyo's ex just to get her attention. Or she went against Chun-hee abt academies for gifted kids because Eun-pyo got closely to Chun-hee while avoiding her like plague. And she teamed up with Eun-pyo's cousin just to have opportunity to go out for a drink with Eun-pyo, and got jealous here and there with Eun-pyo-Chun-hee relationship.

At some points in ep4, I think Jin-ha sincerely cared abt Eun-pyo when she wanted to give Eun-pyo's team card-boards for the competition. Still, she may have psycho or mental problems.

I'm not sure of the time-line, but I guess Eun-pyo gave up on her studies in France because her ex left her for Jinha? Now she still has feelings towards that man though. But I'm rooting for her hubby (the detective). He's a bit dull, but he sincerely cares abt her.

I was a bit surprised she smokes at first.  Wondering why she still smuggling drugs.  Does her husband not provide her enough financial expenses?  She said she married to a penniless hubby.  Or maybe she is forced to deliver illegal drugs?

The tuition for her kids' extra classes is no joke, I think. Remember Jun-ju's husband has been working his butt off only to pour all money into education :sweatingbullets: Eun-pyo must do part-time job to afford her son's extra class too.

Now everyone wants a piece of Eun-pyo for different reasons, LOL. Jin-ha and Louis still have (weird) feelings to her. :sweatingbullets: Chun-hee's aware of how talented Eun-pyo's son is, and wants him to team up with her daughter in the future. Eun-pyo's cousin wants to side with her to get close to Tiger mon and Jinha. The other mom (Young-mi) wants more mom members for her club going against academies for gifted kids.

    I root for drinking-smoking-clubbing buddies (Eun-pyo & Chun-hee) ;)

“Kill Heel” Remains No. 1 As “Green Mothers’ Club” Ratings Rise For 2nd Episode

JTBC’s new drama “Green Mothers’ Club” enjoyed a rise in viewership for its second episode!

“Green Mothers’ Club” is a new series about the dangerous relationships between parents at a local elementary school—and the hidden dark side of this seemingly friendly community. Lee Yo Won, Chu Ja Hyun, Jang Hye Jin, Kim Kyu Ri, and Joo Min Kyung star as five very different mothers who belong to the same parents association at the school.

According to Nielsen Korea, the second episode of the drama scored an average nationwide rating of 2.991 percent on April 7, marking a modest increase from its premiere rating of 2.519 percent the night prior.

Meanwhile, tvN’s “Kill Heel,” which airs in the same time slot, also saw an increase in viewership last night. The show earned an average nationwide rating of 3.670 percent for its latest episode, successfully defending its position as the most-watched Wednesday-Thursday drama of the night.

Hey long time no see, @vaiduakhu!  Hope everything going well for you.  I’m still kicking as usual.  And yes, I’m also sticking to here as well.

As for the new drama, I'm very curious of the relationships between her character and the others, especially the “insider” & “goddess” ones.  It could be interesting seeing how each of the women having contrast views in raising their kids.

I'm doing fine, just extra busy at work...  Glad that you're always full of energy.

You never get bored of Daepyonim's style in Night Light, do you? :D how you rank this drama compared to superior QSD?

I haven't read much into script/plot of Green Mother Club (GMC). Kinda avoid spoilers in its thread too. The teasers somewhat give me feeling of ASC. I hope GMC isn't gonna be a serious drama, like Running Mates which was tough to get attention of audiences. It would be great if they can balance a serious topic (education) with some humors or comedy scenes.

PS: Soompi has changed so much. I wanna hit the "like" button, but it gives many weird choices :sweatingbullets:

  18. hi @QSDhow are you doing? :D this thread is blessed to have you here al the time. ;)

It's been a long time I haven't logged into Soompi, I forgot the password... :sweatingbullets:

I'm looking forward to LYW's new drama in Apr. It gives me ASC's vibe so far: a club with women from different classes, but look like it's not cooperative relationship at the beginning. Competition is subtle but we can feel the tension in the air. LYW's character is not cold as ice here... I guess she would bring other women together to work on the commission to free the kids from stress of studying and let them shine in their own way.

Tbh, I'm not a fan of soft family-drama, maybe I'm not at that age yet  . Still prefer strategic, angst, action stuffs. Hope this drama can change my mind :D

I guess SY says "shut the hell up" in the gif?

In EOG, I probably dislike him the most. TJ or the mom has more rights to claim the empire than him. He's just an in-law, gets advantage of his incapable and naive wife. Pure opportunist!

Btw, you are doing a replay of EOG, NL and QSD at the same time? you are brave. Just one of these 3 already drains me mentally, especially EOG.

Every time eating something always happening at the dinner table.

Yeah, thinking again, I laugh at the dinning scenes in EOG. While everyone is eating in temporary peace, someone surely will drop a bomb and totally ruin the appetite of the whole table.

Why they don't just eat and leave whatever business later ? poor the food, they look so good, but no one has mood to eat them.

Despite being imprisoned, Daepyonim is still mighty.  Nevertheless, the CEO gets to sleep on the couch later.

She even has a "helper'' in prison.

Till now, I still don't understand why the writer gave a lot of hints abt this couple, but they ended up nowhere in the end.

I also love this one a lot.  I know Vaiduakhu is crazy about it, too.  The price tag is terrifying everyone, though.

when I saw May's question abt favorite outfit in NL, I immediately thought of this masterpiece, and your gif prove it once again, lol

EoG was AWESOME, but let me assure you, if you made it though that one, Running Mates will be a piece of cake. MUCH lighter and more upbeat and positive in tone and theme. In fact, if you watch it straight after EoG  it might even seem like a comedy in comparison. :)

Agree. RM is much lighter and easier to digest than EOG, although from 2 dramas' summaries, it looks like RM's story is heavier. To be honest, I expected RM was more intense than that.

Yeah Sung Jae actor is quite attractive, a bit unfair he didn’t get much popularity.

Actually he sacrificed alot for Seo Yoon, even at one moment i thought he was romantically attracted to non blood related sister

Remember some shipped them back then in EOG's thread. He's much more gentle, understanding and caring than her so-called husband.
