  1. I am glad the forum is still so active. To tell you the truth, I haven't actually watched ep 19 and 20 in its entirety because I am too scared of how I would feel after it ends, and so much more so because of how it ended. Yes, I was going through the five stages of grief; I was in denial the whole time I was following the live recap and hours after that. I seriously though they would give us a definite happy ending. Then I was angry. Angry at the writers for how ep 20 goes, angry at myself for investing too much time and emotion in this drama (but to make it clear, I was never angry at the cast - all of them are wonderful and did their best!). Like another poster here, I had also almost got a gastric attack due to the stress of the day, luckily it wasn't that bad. Then I started bargaining stage where I'm trying to find a silver lining in all the bleakness and sadness. I was depressed, yes, but before too long I've found that I've accepted the end as it is.

I started looking into the story as a whole, trying to find some sense over what is really Hong Sister's intention. I was also following all the discussions here although I remained silent because I just couldn't yet express my feelings at the time. So thank you chinggus for keeping me sane. I laughed and cried, I raged and grieved, and I also felt the hope and admire the effort everyone took to help each other up. I loved the many fanfic-esque endings; that certainly seems like a plausible route uri SOG would take in his journey to get his bride.

I will post my overall thoughts on the story later on, mostly on the lessons and the overarching story that the writers were trying to convey - although these are obviously my own perspective and opinion. I do hope the forum will still be active. Last but not least, I'm glad I decided to become more active in soompi forums now and meet so many of you here. I truly felt the warmth of everyone here, it's just like a group of friends who enjoyed watching a show together and discuss things and throwing theories around though the only difference is we do it online. I hope we'll meet again in other forums. Till then, take care my lovelies!

I refuse to analyze the last episode because, frankly, there is no way anyone could make sense of this mess. I’m afraid my brain could explode from trying.

In the last few episodes, the Hong Sisters pretty much threw logic completely out of the window so at this point they could have Jesus snowboarding down a rainbow and I wouldn’t question any of it, as long as the OTP finally got the happiness they deserve. There were so many ways to end it but they gave us that unsatisfying open ending?!

I totally feel the same! I've been racking my brain thinking and analyzing for the past 19 episodes, and now I feel somewhat cheated because of the end. That's it?! It's just as if the writers just want to twist the knife because they can. I get it that on paper, it would seem quite fitting; bittersweet yet, but also somewhat understandable. BUT they should have made good of their promises of a happy ending!

What's with the amnesia? So they wanted to echo the beginning of the story; when SOG bailed on SM by taking her memory of his name, now he's suffering with his memories not intact. When he was first imprisoned because he saved the world only to brag about it (from MW'S story) to now saving the world to fulfil his lovers final wish and imprisoning himself out of his own choice.

It's good that SM now knows about his feelings, but it truly feels so anticlimatic. Why such a big build-up, when in the end she realises it is so right before she disappears forever? There's really no closure for her. So in the end, she suffers for years and years, found the greatest love of her life, fulfils her duty, die, and spent the last day on earth with her lover who doesn't even remember her, found out he did love her right before disappearing, then now will just wait for him to come find her. What??? Seriously writer??

There's so many faults and holes I could find, they don't make sense, they just reek of lazy writing. To be honest, no one likes other endings except for happy endings. But if you're going for the bad endings anyway, there's certainly much better ways to do it. Fullstop!

    I'm mad, I'm sad and I'm totally bummed.:bawling:

  3. We are almost at the end people! Can't wait for episode 20. Just sharing my thoughts on what might happen.

    1. Definitely happy ending. So far the writers have been pretty consistent in giving closure to what they teased before; various scenes on/near bed and the actual bed scene, OG saying I love you to SM saying it again and again; I'm thinking we'll definitely get a wedding scene.

    2. I have a feeling MW made a deal regarding OG/ SM with the heavenly realm during the meeting with SBR. If I'm not mistaken, SBR said the heaven accepts his term, and then MW was offered deityhood and a star which he refused (or rather Sec Ma refused for him, he's almost tempted haha.. Typical MW) so I think it's not something for himself. Also brings me to another point:

    3. OG'S choice. MW mentioned OG's choice twice during the fight against the dragon. Maybe this is related to the deal he made?

    4. Heaven by proxy of SBR wants OG back in Heaven. Does this means he's back to being a deity? Or there is something else? I have a niggling suspicion that this is somehow a way for SM and OG to be together.

    5. I think OG will pretend to lose his memories. But he will visit all the places where he made those memories with SM only to finally meet the spirit SM who actually lost her memories. And SM would somehow regain her memories and they made up right before her time is up and she vanishes.

    6. GGG could also be a factor in bringing SM back. We saw that GGG helped OG in his last fight as it glowed with power. I wonder why that is so? GGG was meant as a restraint by way of his heart. And it is also a link between him and SM. So when he took it off and willingly put it back on, maybe it now works differently, hence why SM is now not able to take it off.

    7. The peddler grandmother. I think she's much higher ranked than SBR, and to think of it, she was the actual brain that orchestrated the whole thing. She somehow knew that Heaven's plan would not happen as they expected it to. She even kept Red Boy as her grandson, against the Heavens which indicates her mercy and kindness. I think there will be a way for everything to work out in the end.

I'm to giddy now. Need. Episode. Soon!

  4. I had a feeling SM will have a premonition about what exactly was supposed to happen (her with the dragon entering her body then having Samjang's sword kill her - scene with SM's amber eyes and spitting blood) but then she also found out from MW that OG is planning to die to save her. Then tearfully she'll confront OG at Namsan Tower. Knowing that OG won't change his mind, then she meets with SBR to proclaim that she'll proceed as Samjang (sacrifice herself) but the Elders have to stop OG at all cost. In the mean time, SOG plans to have ASN to wake the dragon but will have WG take her away so that OG can kill the dragon (as it's awake but not yet possessing anyone). But because OG is held up by the Elders, SM then comes to the ritual place and face to face with KDS. I don't know why he wants to stop her from shedding her blood, but she succeeds (maybe KDS accidentally stabbing SM?) and we'll have the dragon. Then at the last moment, SOG arrives having fought with the Elders minions and finally face the dragon. And we'll end with a cliffhanger.

Sorry for the theories again, just need to vent before the actual episode. I'm nervousssss guys. Let's try to survive today and tomorrow together with our hearts and minds intact.

Anyway i have never heard of lotus flower scent perfume. Hahaha my interest was piqued when you mentioned that!

Went to google search and there were quite a few brands with lotus scent perfume.

Perhaps gonna see if my country did carry this > Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey Lotus

:lol: i believe we all have this *hwayugi disease* as well. hehehe

You guys, I am totally crazy about perfumes! Never knew there's a lotus scent. I'm gonna buy one. The Kenzo perfume sounds great.

On another note, I truly appreciate your thoughts on SM-OG relationship @stroppyse. It's true that SOG treats her so preciously, and comparing that to how she's been treated by others so far, I just can't help but ship them together even more. This one guy who was initially so selfish and see humans as nothing, now is willing to do anything to save the only girl he ever loves, and a human girl at that.

@haymochi, you know what, yep MW does reminds me of a jealous love-and-hate type relationship. But it's also true that immortals bond for eternity, and I'm glad that they keep the MW-OG bromance dynamics until the end. Because honestly there was a time I was convinced that the end will be an epic fight to the death between those two. But now, I'm convinced that MW will help OG, or rather do anything to keep him alive.

@YourHighness ., love your perspective on the change of SOG's feelings to SM in the movie world. I do agree that that's when his heart starts to change from interested to love. The Monkey King is smart and apt to take advantage of all chances. We see him always a step ahead. Now if he is solely thinking by his head, he would have just let her die in the movie world. Why waste energy to destroy an entire world to save one human? That means his heart is now winning the inner fight, and he's now thinking not for himself but for SM.

Oh well, basically I loved all your discussions chinggus. Sorry I missed a lot of people's comments. Past few days I've only been lurking because had been very busy. And I skipped most of the trolling few pages back - really don't like tense situations haha.

    Can't wait for tomorrow!

  6. So so happy that we get a morning after scene. And I've always loved it when SM does aegyo in front of OG. And she's smiling so happily. So cute! Thanks for the stills. These really made my day. I was so anxious about the preview and even more so when OG's bloody stills were out. One more day guys! What are we going to do after this drama ends?! :bawling:

@missirina Yeah we are definitely getting a Happy ever after. Although I wonder if just JSM being on the site will attract the Dragon to enter her or if she will cut herself. I am leaning towards the latter.

BTW I wonder if SOG will remove the GGG and show it to her on the Namsan tower since she will blow up at him for his plan to sacrifice himself. Will MW tell her the GGG is useless? Or will JSM accuse him of being fooled by the GGG enough to sacrifice himself.

Oh, I hope she calls his love fake again..that would make him remove the GGG and shows her that his love is true.

Me too! Maybe it's wishful thinking, but yes I believe they'll go the happy ending route.

Cutting herself would do the trick I think. The dragon won't be able to resist. But yes, not sure if it will be MW, and if he'll tell everything to her.

It would be great if that really happens, I mean removing the GGG in front of SM. Can't wait to see SM's face haha.. And then they will kiss (as what some fans claim they see at the Tower scene)! Activation mode on! (Not that they need one anymore, but I'll never look at the word 'activation' the same again after this haha)

  8. The forum is moving so fast I can barely keep up haha. The text preview really makes me feeling a roller-coaster type of emotions. I'm happy they spend the night, but then I get vexed at SOG over what I expect is his version of noble idiocy - pushing SM away to make sure she's safe. Then SM, I understand why she decides to go ahead with her mission, because now she knows OG will fight to the death for her, she's even more determined to complete it because she loves him so much and wouldn't bear the thought of losing him.

I too suspect MW will play the part of telling OG's plans to SM, because essentially he wants to save OG.

ASN and KDS, I really don't get why she's so determined to summon the dragon. There's no motivation at all, seriously. Is it because KDS was so impressed with SM that she just wants to show off? How stup** can she be? Ughh..

But now we'll finally see the dragon waking up and SM going to face it. But how? Did SBR tells her about the sword and what is supposed to happen? Because SM obviously can't fight the dragon. It's about time they lay every card on the table. Be truthful about what has to be done, then there might be a way to handle it differently. Which is one reason I'm so bummed that SOG didn't tell SM the GGG has lost its effect on him - his love is true. I get the reason why, but consider this. Because the kind-hearted SM feels that if one must die it should be her, because she still thinks OG will not love her anymore if GGG comes off. So it would be unfair for him to die for her only because the GGG compelled her to. And like she said, if she's the one left alone in the end with her feelings, she's going to be so much more devastated.

If SOG had told her, then they would both realise that their love is reciprocated fully and SM can be persuaded to think of an alternative to sacrificing herself because she knew then that SOG would also suffer endlessly.

Sigh. This drama had taken over my life. I'm typing this essay, and yet my work report is still pending haha.

Anyway, last but not least, just wanted to add something. I think the dragon will eventually be able to come into SM's body. But like I've posted previously, possession of a body in this drama had always shown that the original person's feelings remains (Buja-ASN; crying when her mom died & Alice-octopus Prince; infatuation with PK). And the strength of SM's love would somehow enable her to do something even while being possessed. Maybe at the most critical moment before killing SOG, her eyes change and SM comes back, say "I love you" and stabbed herself..

I'm sorry guys, this one is too bleak. It's a scenario I imagined, but it felt too sad even as I type it. I gave up theorising this show but still so many theories still come up. Bottomline, I don't want SM to die. I don't want OG to die. Hong Sisters is going to wrap this up and gave them a happy ending that they deserve, I'm sure. It's how they'll get there.

  9. I think the scene at the tower will be either SOG reminiscing about the memories they have, or the other way around (Sun Mi).

To be honest, my own preference would be that Sun Mi fulfilled her mission in the end but did not die, but maybe something happen and she disappears? But our otp would already promise each other that they would find each other again no matter what happens and SOG will wait for her. Something like a second contract (marriage contract, finally?)

It's just that, their story started back when the first contract was made, and SM waited 20+ years before all these happened. So I think it would be fair to have OG wait for her too. (Evil me, I know, sorry). But it won't be too long and then SM appears while maybe keeping her powers/become a deity and then they'll live happily ever after, albeit with the occasional ghost-busting business every once in a while and keeping busy by their monkey babies.

Oh well, I'll just trust the writers. As long as it's a happy ending, I'm happy.

sorry to cut your post, but i completely agree.. it feels like "let me give you some good scene, before the tragic one" ( and we cant complain about it , because we love it lol! ) because its still 2 eps left and they already lovey dovey on this eps, so its like fly high before falling really down? dont noww maybe we are too sensitive right now lol, we will get the answer in one week.. what a long way to go..

I am absolutely scared of that too. The fact that they gave us this scene when three's two episodes to go, just makes me worried.

But, I've decided to trust the Hong Sisters until the end. All things considered, I think the best option for the whole story is to have a happy ending. That's why they introduced the baby boy (sign of hope) despite the revelation about Samjang's sacrifice by the previous protector.

Hong sisters, after such scene there will be no more stupid noble idiocy right???

it's time to fight together!! And OG should tell her about the posibility of him being able to change their fate

Sunmi is not gonna say sonething like

" i've emptied out my feelings for you, we shouldn't see each other again , sayonara~“

If she ever did something foolish again i'm gonna curse  lol. I totally love her charisma in ep 18. That power sure gave her confidence .....  she was so cool  when she confronted ASN and Kang Dae Sung. ASN was even surprised that she has such strong power.  I think she will be able to call out the real Buja later on..

Kinda pity ASN though, looks like her feelings is getting softer and softer towards PK. But PK wants to kill her now after knowing that she is using Buja's body to help Buja's real killer.

Soon Kang  daesung is going to betray  her just like how the king did. He wants  Sunmi even more now....*shudder*. I hope Sunmi use her power to kick some richard simmons

I agree completely. They should now work together, not separately. Your worries about Sun Mi is valid, but I am also worried about Oh Gong. Why oh why didn't he just tell her that he loves her even without GGG? I don't want him to still try to sacrifice himself. After all, the death bell fate can be changed now. If SM knows, then together they might find an answer and fight together.

    no more reincarnation ending blah

i thought OG intended to make Sunmi an immortal like him

their marriage is a contract. Even when ASN was in Sunmi's body, he have to abide to it. So now why is this otp not keeping up to their contract? Hmmph.. they deserve to get some punishment from viewers

Me too. I would really hate it if they go the reincarnation route. But the lyrics of the new song seems like a foreshadowing. That somehow one would lose the other and ending up waiting for his/her other half endlessly. But there's also hope in that song, that he/she believes the one they love is coming back "even though it's a bit late". If its SM who leaves (I don't think my heart can take it if I say die), then most probably it will be reincarnation with SOG waiting for her or otherwise it's going to be the immortal route which I'd prefer much more. But if it's SOG, then most probably he won't die but somehow has to leave (imprisoned again, maybe? Then we'll have the whole gang conspire to get him out - would be a nice change for the whole MW, Secretary Ma, PK, OJ, WG team to help SOG in the end) because SM is human so they would be able to see one another again.

Why do I get the feeling that the drunk scene would be Sunmi imagining SOG beside her but in actual fact he was there. From the teaser Sunmi was really pouring her hearts out.

    :bawling:

You know what, I could totally see this happening. After reading this and also the new article about SM bursting into tears, maybe she unconsciously called SOG while drunk and she made that tearful confession, wakes up in bed at home and thinking maybe it was just a dream. But then when she goes to work, she got that food delivery (someone previously mentioned this is hangover food but sorry can't remember who) and realises that SOG was really there at the time, and she's sad because it means he heard all she had said but still he did not come to her himself and only send the delivery, indicating he's firm on his decision to break it off.

You are right that's his plan. He is going to fight to protect Sunmi at all cost

in one scene he did confess that he is falling deeper and deeper in love with her so even without the GGG it will feel the same.

from what i understand is OG knows Sunmi is still afraid of killing him and doing things behind his back like telling about the scary premonition to WG instead of him. So he have to do this to protect her.. even if he die for her, she shouldn't feel guilty or upset.

the words he said to Sunmi was the last straw of breaking her heart. Sunmi always believes that OG love was only  because of the GGG. He said "my mind will disappear, we are fated as the predator and prey, blah blah blah" confirmed what she thought all this time is correct.

    My heart broke to pieces

so ready to cry on Sunmi's drunk confession scene... i hope she blurts out all her feelings and frustration so OG won't be able to seperate for her.

i always hate this part of episodes towards ending from Hong sisters dramas

OG: I'm telling you to not be afraid of calling my name.

SM: SOG, are you really ok with not removing the GGG? I told you I'll remove it. If you just don't have that, you feelings right now will disappear. Then, you won't need to be in danger because of me.

OG: Will they really disappear? All of them? You believe it like that too, aren't you? I believed it too. But I must be crazy. I'm liking you more and more. Even now, as I'm looking at you, you're getting prettier. But, will this all really disappear in just one moment? You really believe that?

SM: It was really sad for me in the past but now I think it's rather a relief. Since it means you can let go of your feelings comfortably.

OG: Right. Later, if I don't come even when you call me, I'm not coming because all my feelings disappeared. I'm gonna be busy for a while. Don't be surprised no matter what I do. I'll be going.

Ok, just want to share something. I haven't watched the actual episode yet, only the snippets posted in the forum, so please forgive me if this doesn't make sense or is not really true. But has it been shown why SOG is breaking up with SM?

I think he wants to make sure SM won't interfere with his plan which could very well end with his death. My take is that he's going to let ASN proceed with her plan to summon the dragon and fight it with everything he has, so that it won't have any chance to possess SM. But how's that going to work if GGG comes off? We all know that he loves SM, but he himself is not sure for now. So he's afraid if SM knows about his plan, she's going to take GGG off. Cue break up.

Nevertheless, the scene I quoted is really scaring me. It's like he's preparing her for an eventuality that he's going to die. He wants SM to believe that when everything is over, and when SM calls him but he didn't come, it's because he didn't love her but actually he can't come because he sacrificed himself. Noooo :bawling:

I really hope SM can take charge in the next few episodes and finally work together with her beloved OG. She's strong, and now with her powers there must be an alternative to either one dying, right? I really really wish so..

But I still don't know what is the end game with KDS though. It seems he has a lot of skeletons in his closet, that he won't want people to know. Evil intentions creates evil spirit? Seems very likely another Akiko(?) will be born.

3 more episodes people! *Sigh* I'm going to miss this :bawling:  Although the good news is maybe I can finally focus fully on work in two weeks time.

Or not. I'm anticipating another kdrama soon. And it's a second season. Lol. Sorry guys. OK I'm going now.

  16. Thank you for all the recaps and videos. I'm feeling too sad for Sun Mi. She's so good-hearted and trusting but all everyone ever do is use her, keep the truth from her and manipulate her into doing dangerous things. I think I'm going to wait for the subs to come up next week before watching ep 17 & 19.

Btw, Oh Gong saying all those things to Sun Mi just breaks my heart. I know he's trying to protect her, but isn't she is too pitiful now? I mean her situation. :bawling:

I hope tomorrow's episode will resolve some of our questions although I still think they'll end it with a cliffhanger, again. GGG finally off? Hope when that happens and OG realises his feelings are true, they can finally have a heart-to-heart and put everything on the table. No more secrets, no more noble idiocy, and just work together! I need more sweet, romantic, loving, funny OTP moments.

From the stills of ASN dressing like JSM, I believe they will switch bodies. I don't know for what reasons but I have a feeling it was made willingly by JSM. She may have something up her sleeves or she probably wants to save OG. If ASN is in her body, ASN can possibly die by OG. So JSM wouldn't die but her body will. Don't know how that'll work?

I don't think they will switch again to be honest. We see that SOG is going through the human way of doing things,  so maybe ASN had to tone down her dressing to blend in and join the company too? I guess we'll see soon.

I really hope the baby is his too haha.. We already seen his interactions with children few times before and they always responds positively to him. Makes me wonder how he's going to be as a father. I'm sure the kid is going to be surrounded and protected by his 'brothers' Yuk Gong, Chil Gong and Pal Gong among others haha.

    Count me in!

Judging from the ost lyric it is just ..*sobs already*

the song seems to depict someone who was suffering and looking for the other half but still believing that they will meet someday

I really hope that it was just our paranoia that sm will die and OG will be left alone and suffer for xx years / decades / centuries before finally meeting her again.

Sorry to cut your post. But I agree completely. Please let them have their happy ending. The mood have been sombre now that we are almost at the end so I feel that they will be sad for a while but fingers crossed, they'll be able to be together and be happy in the end. Thats not too much to ask now, right Hong Sisters?

But I keep having this thought. SOG always takes SM's word at face value right. We see this when he ask her if she would like to know about a bad thing before or after its been done while thinking about burning BJ few episodes ago. And SM said she'd prefer the latter as knowing in advance would make her sadder for longer. And we all know he would do anything to keep her happy.

Now in episode 16 she already expressed sadness over the possibility that if one person gets left behind, it would be too sad and hard as they would feel the sadness for longer - I think when it comes down to it he would rather let himself bear the pain so I don't think he would sacrifice himself because he knows her love for him is true. May also be why he's trying another angle to protect SM which is by preventing the catastrophe altogether, hence him revealing himself to the world and facing KDS.

The thing is, SOG himself is not sure if he would still feel the same if GGG is taken off. That's why he's so against taking it off. But I think somehow the GGG will be taken off this week. Could be the cliffhanger for ep 18 (don't kill me please). Whether it may be MW's trick, or ASN, SM or even OG himself. The reason I say this is because the writers would definitely show that his love is true so I would rather that happen sooner than later, and maybe then we can get more sweet otp scenes, please writer-nim?

Cue the head band - old GGG. Maybe somehow MW tried to convince SM to replace SOG's GGG with the old type and that's why SM is so sad and made the drunk confession? She said she likes it so much now. But OG'S face is really serious, like he's considering things..

Oh I don't know. The wait is making me crazy. Sigh. But I'm glad we're all in this together chinggu. So good that I'm not suffering alone haha..

  20. Really can't wait for the next episode. So many questions, so many theories. These are some of the things that I hope would be resolved soon:

    1. Ma Wang's child. It could be Sun Mi, or it could be the peddlers grandson, although at this point I'm thinking revealing SM as his child would definitely carry more emotional weight and gravity to the situation. Could also lead to a redemption arc of sorts for MW as a character if the writers go for that. But if samjang was created specifically because of who he/she is (MW & IF's child), then why the previous samjang is a male? This confuses me a lot. Then again, the fate of samjang is so cruel that it seems more like a punishment rather than a gift, yet SM's birth saves a lot of people.

    2. The Great Egret. Why is she only able to kill herself using the sword that is used to stab samjang? Is she so powerful? Or did she do it because she wants to wait for the next samjang-guardian couple and warn them of the fate they are destined of? Because to me it seems that each samjang-guardian pair fell in love (although to be fair we only saw two for now) yet the Great Egret did stab her samjang without wearing GGG *and* being in love. It kinda scares me to think what sort of situation they will face and the sort of sacrifice both samjang and the guardian had to face. In my opinion, when they mentioned the great evil will go into samjang's body, the guardian who knows how pure-hearted samjang is, won't bear to see such evil taint the pure soul and are forced to do the deed although both love each other. But why put the GGG on SOG? Is it because his heart is made of stone and the heavens are not sure if he will even stay to protect SM in the first place? So trap him with GGG so that he will continue protecting SM, but as they believed his feelings will never be real they are sure he'll be able to kill samjang when the time comes.

    3. Betrayal. So many betrayals are mentioned, each with its own gravity. SOG was betrayed by a human (I'm not sure about this but I think it was 1000 years ago? Please correct me if I'm wrong) although it was never revealed what. And while still a deity, SOG sort-of betrayed MW by not giving the pachaseon to MW and keeping it for himself (as they joked about this, I don't think it is that serious). Then he was imprisoned in the Marble Mountains somehow by MW - another betrayal? ASN was betrayed by a human she made king and locked in the coffin forever (isn't this also 1000 years ago?). Now MW thinks of eating SM to regain and amplify his power, even though he knows SOG loves her. But I do agree, MW, like so many others, think that SOG's love is only because of GGG and he thinks it's okay if GGG is removed. Then again, there's many instances where MW betrayed SOG for example when he burned the photo to try to imprison SOG before. But the SOG-MW dynamic is still strong. But then we have WG who betrayed Oh Gong because of his sister and loyalty to SOG (because he thinks in a way it is to save the Great Sage from the death bell fate) and the SF had to die for it. So confusing! So it is hard for me to gauge what level of act is considered true betrayal that only death is able to pay for it.

    4. ASN motivation. Why is she still there? I mean, seriously. She said she wants to summon a dragon and make someone a king. Why? Is it such an important calling? She doesn't seem to particularly like KDS, she only chose him in the end because she lost her powers and had no choice but to "go to him." This might be an unpopular opinion, but I just want to throw it out there. But is it possible ASN was also once a samjang? She's a priestess, her blood smells like flowers, she said people use her for her abilities and then throw her away, she looks particularly moved when PK treats her adoringly, but she's so far gone that she has now turned totally evil. Another thing is, did she ever manage to summon the dragon previously? I don't believe it was explicitly mentioned. Is that why she was so desperate to do it this time around? But she is now powerless, so does that mean her power to summon the dragon and make someone a king now becomes SM's?

    5. The Octopus Prince. Why is he still around?

    6. Possession of bodies. There's a lot of examples of this in the show and one thing I noticed is that the original psyche always manages to show through at times. We see that with Alice's infatuation with PK which carries over to the Octopus Prince, and with ASN asking herself if the girl (BJ) is still inside.. So if somehow the great evil manages to get into SM's body, would it somehow happens that SM manages to overpower it somehow because of her love for OG? Because in the two previous cases, it relates to love.

Oh-kay. This has been a long post. So sorry. I'll stop now. Hyperactive imagination in anticipation of the weekend and of course episodes 17 & 18 of this amazing show. Let me know what you think. Of course all these are just my perspectives. Will be glad to discuss.

  21. Hello everyone. Silent lurker here, but I just can't help myself this time. So we are only left with four episodes. I hope we'll get a happy ending.

I don't know why, but I can't help but feeling they will be going through the reincarnation route. Maybe SOG will sacrifice himself rather than killing JSM and somehow he'll be reborn as human while JSM becomes a deity and waits for him forever? I'm worried because of of the baby, and how he looks like SOG and the remark that it's not his time to be born yet. I don't know. I hope I'm wrong. I have faith in Hong Sisters. Please please don't let us down. I just want them to be happily together in the end.
