No, Logan Lee is not Min Seol Ah's adoptive father but her adoptive brother who will seek revenge for his step-sister's death. He knows something for sure and to hide his real identity, he's pretending as a PE teacher Goo Hodong. I actually thought Ha Seokjin will play as Logan Lee but he's not. And based on Logan Lee's voice, he is definitely Gu Hodong.

I'm kinda excited on how Seokhoon and Rona will grow on each other. You will notice in the last episode that he's starting to care for Rona most especially when Jenny pushed her away. Seokhoon's face speaks really well.

But I will never forget what he did to Min Seol Ah. He's brutal and cruel just like his dad.

Oh it never occurred to me that Logan Lee would be Gu Hodong. I had this assumption that Logan Lee was much older and was around Chairman Joo’s age. But this makes sense, seeing that they haven’t revealed his face yet.

Another batsh!t episode. Doesn’t look like Dr Ha really shot anyone, which was disappointing.

the kids’ drama is getting tedious and I wish it would end.

Dr. Ha only probably shot the roof, the floor, or some other part of the house. I don't think he killed anyone either, probably had a fistfight with Chairman Joo.

The bullying is indeed becoming oba, I can't believe Bae Rona is that naive. So quick for her to immediately target the culprit, but she doesn't know how to get ahead of them.

  3. I just caught up with all the recent episodes, and I am hooked! This show felt like it was Sky Castle on steroids, but I'm still enjoying it, I'm mostly watching for Su Ryeon. I'm not very up for 2 more seasons because I can't bear to see them dragging the story any further. One season should've been enough, but they're milking the show, I guess.

Not a big fan of how Bae Rona handles her classmates. For a smart person like her, she should know how to be cautious of the tricks the kids got up their sleeves. It also baffles me how she didn't bother to check her bag before leaving the house lol. I'm beginning to think that Logan Lee was Min Seol A's adoptive dad...? Did they reveal in the previous episodes what the adoptive parents' jobs were?

I think CB is also involved in that. Because in the preview they came to know that our precious duo share every details with each other. It could be that both wanted to test them whether they can find out whether the witness is fake or not.

Also, Shimok noticed that the witness was glancing at Kim Su Hang before pointing out Baek.

yes, i agree. the two of them were conspiring to save themselves. you can see the apprehension in the witness’ face.

i hope that we can finally close the segok police station case because we’re getting closer to the end haha

  5. it’s been so long since i last saw YJ and SM work together like this in episode 11! the segok police station case will be closed now, it seems. we can finally put this case to rest and move forward.

WTH and hanjo planted the witness together to get it over with and to keep SM and YJ away from investigating further. i don’t think they were aware of how meticulous SM is. there’s still a lot we don’t know about hanjo and i’m really wishing SM would finally sense something in his radar and go back to it again.

  6. read a few tweets from kfans and it seems like they aren’t very happy with the show’s pacing. we’re already halfway through yet there’s barely development in the cases. nothing much happened tonight either and they don’t investigate as much as they used to. but i also trust that the director was aware of this during production and i hope things wrap up neatly in the end...

  7. i’m always confused after every episode i can’t keep up!! i need to look back on every case bc i always get them mixed up in my head, it’s just like getting lost in a forest (of secrets). :w00t:

it’s about time YJ and SM start digging on their superiors (waiting for KSH to spill the tea to SM). “the answer is always right under your nose,” just like in season 1 where SM’s senior/mentor and colleague were the culprits. the way CB and WTH panic over the mention of hanjo and PGS is amusing to me, it’s lowkey funny.

JMH’s reaction when SM asked her about SDJ’s personal life is making me think they had an affair. i just remember SDJ’s wife telling SM along the lines of, “you should find out what he’s been up to!” why didn’t she say anything though?

  8. looks like they’ll be (re)investigating a case after all. i loved the exchange between woo tae ha and hwang shi mok, their dynamic is something i’m looking forward to. i don’t think i’ve ever seen hwang shi mok hold himself back in season 1, but woo tae ha seems to have an impact on him. LOL.

you know you’ve grown when you’ve become unfazed at seo dong jae’s schemes. compared to when i was watching season 1, i was just laughing at him in this ep LOL. he’s the kind of villain the protagonists are too tired to deal with.

@dairymilks the spoiled Porsche driving brat is Lee Yong-ho (Netflix translation).  His ex judge lawyer is Oh Joo Sun ( of Hanjo group).  His dad must be Lee Sung Jae - who is the ex convict CEO and eldest son of Chairman Lee.  I remember synopsis mentioned this season will involve him.

LOL those IG accounts must be of actors’ own.  Clever,

Great intro.  My bet is this season’s murder may have something to do with the cryptocurrency scandal. The news on SM’s radio!  Scriptwriter tends to address current social issues.

ohhh you’re right. i didn’t realize “lee sung jae” looked too young to be the eldest son haha. knetz are doing a comment spree on the girlfriend’s ig right now LOL.

LCJ’s narration is making me miss him so much :tears: i’m still attached to this legendary villain.

  11. i remember jeon mi do described chae songhwa’s relationship with jungwon as “someone she can rely on” and that dynamic was clearly shown in this ep. they both have the same approach towards their work & their patients, it’s hard to describe. it kinda reminds me of a low maintenance friendship? they don’t talk all the time, but when they do, it’s easy and they get each other immediately.

so happy for winter garden!! each ep came with countless theories and most of them turned out right!! i wish they had shown how jungwon fell for her though, did it start in ep. 2 with the frostbite/maggot case?

  12. Songhwa and Ikjoon may need some time apart. I hate how we always end up relating it to the previous works, but I just noticed that couples in Shin PD's dramas spend a period of being away from each other and come back with a clearer understanding of how they feel.

    Spoiler

    1. Yoon Jae and Shi Won (Reply 1997)

Yoon Jae confessed to her on the night of her birthday, left her with the ring, and told her to throw it away. Shi Won asked if they could be friends again, Yoon Jae responds with "Friends? You've got to be kidding me." They entered college and never communicated again to the point of avoiding each other during family reunions, with Yoon Jae coming up with a gazillion of excuses not to see her.

Six years later, 2005, they saw each other again at a coffee shop and around that time, Shi Won was already having feelings for him.

    2. Na Jung and Trash/Jae Joon (Reply 1994)

Compared to our other ships, they started dating pretty early, but things didn't end well because of their long distance relationship. Na Jung and Trash broke up without having a chance to settle their relationship and also spent a few months (or more than a year) without any contact. When they met again at a coffee shop in 1999, Na Jung explained that she finally understood why they broke up like that (Trash always felt the need to be the reliable "Oppa" in the relationship, rather than being a partner to Na Jung. He only wanted to show her his good side, but Na Jung also wanted him to depend on her as much as she depended on him).

A few weeks later, Trash called Na Jung in the middle of the night asking her if she could come over because he was sick. It was the first time that Trash became vulnerable like that, so Na Jung rushed to his apartment and they got back together.

    3. Deok Sun, Taek, & Jung Hwan

Deok Sun's situation was by far the most complex out of the 3 women and they also accurately depicted the feelings of a girl going through adolescence. She had a crush on 3 of her male friends, and it also took her a few years to realize that she was in love with Taek. Deok Sun also found out that the kiss they shared back then was real, and turns out that Taek loved her, too.

Jung Hwan endured a lot of heartbreak in this show and it also took him a lot of time to finally understand where he went wrong. He didn't bother expressing how he truly felt for Deok Sun before, and he was still very indecisive 5 years later, which led to his demise and regret over the things he could've done in the past. Jung Hwan came to the realization that he also had to be upfront about his feelings instead of burying it.

It seems to me that prior to their employment at Yulje, Ik Joon and Song Hwa didn't see each other frequently (they & the rest of the gang worked in different hospitals so it could've been impossible). It was only until Ik Joon got divorced and Song Hwa got a biopsy that they began spending a lot of time together. Remember how Episode 6 became a turning point for Ik Joon? This thread may (since we have no idea how Song Hwa truly feels) also serve as an explanation for the change in dynamic between these two. Song Hwa only used to smile at Ik Joon's jokes, but in Episode 9 she let herself loose:

I agree with what everyone said here that Song Hwa is pretty confused and shocked right now. If we can indeed confirm that her first love was Ik Joon, it will also be pretty understandable for her to think, "Why now?" She needs to come to Seokcho to sort her feelings out, not to mention that reciprocating her feelings for Ik Joon would change her life. It's unlike the aforementioned couples who were only in their 20s; Ik Joon is a single dad who does his best to make time for his son. Song Hwa would also need to be a mother to Uju and the amount of responsibility that needs is no joke (she may have to give up camping on weekends).

Maybe something huge will happen in 2020, isn't this the year they will all turn 40?
