Just finished watching all 6 episodes. Its interesting to watch a korean musical drama. I know Ji Chang Wook is a musical actor but its the 1st I’m watching him doing musical. He really is a versatile actor. I love the simple storyline, the mystery & the reason behind the mystery tho I got a bit confused why the amusement was abandoned, how Lee Eul got to hide there, if he was originally from the area & where he’s disappeared to. Also what happened to Il Deong after he drop off school. Did he still in contact with Ah Yi….
In conclusion I feel that though its explain some mysterious incidents that occurred in the town, there are many unexplained things regarding the main characters. Its like its up for a 2nd season

Then of cos there’s Seo brothers romance with the other 2 divorcees, which I really enjoy. But of cos why would the writer give these 2 wonderful women a happy ending, when she’s a miserable old writer? First she brought in a horny old ghost, then a seductress ghost & unexplainable little boy ghost, who's btw an actor from HiBye mama (story abt little girl with her ghost mom)…then comes the 2 idiot grims whatever *roll eyes*
Haven’t watch the so called finale yet…but seems like maybe I need to write my own ending.
1) LSE & SB give birth to a baby girl. Both HG & Uram are ecstatic. SB who doesn’t care abt his family wealth nor taking over his dad position, happy to have a girl, so there’ll be no pressure for her to take over their company. SB officially adopted HG & UR & registered them under Seo family.The couple grow old together, watching their 3 children graduations & weddings
2) SPY & SDM has a boy to grandpa’s joy. Now he has a biological grandson & granddaughter. SDM live a hectic live, taking over the company from his dad, with a supportive SPY by his side. They have another boy 2 years later, and live happily till their old age
3) HR’s health deteriorated, so her family from the US came & brought her home, away the Pan family. She received proper treatment & care. She was healthy within a year & return back to korea to pursue her career. She met a man & fall in love but told him the truth abt her condition but the man genuine love her & accept her as she is.. however before long she got pregnant & they got married
4) Ami got big acting gig but a gossip reporter dig in into her personal life, expose her home wreckage scandal. She was cut off from the show, and was devastated, so she returned to states
5) YS who was left with his crazy stepmom, eventually sent her to the asylum, live alone, bitter with SPY happy life with her new family. Even Jia keeps whining to allow to change her name to Seo.
6) Prof Trash mess up with his work, and the university didn’t renew his contract. The only job offered to him was a college in a faraway countryside
7) PSY hectic life between his job & changing his son diapers. Parents still send him for blind dates & was turn down when the women find out he has a love child especially when they realise his child was conceived while he was still married to his 1st wife. Nobody wants to marry to an unfaithful man.
8) Nam Gabin? Who cares what happen to her. Everything abt her is so boring. From her looks to her voice to the way she speaks. Ok maybe let’s get her married to prof Trash, so she follows him to live in the countryside. Prof Trash wanted to show off to LSE that he too will have baby but unfortunate NGB can’t get pregnant bcs Prof Trash is no longer fertile

Oh yes me too!! And I don’t see her importance when she’s alive, let alone when she’s a ghost. She’s dead, so why doesn’t any Mr Grim comes & take her away, yet these 2 Mr Grim come to linger around the Seo family? If Mr Grim did his job well with SW, she won’t be around possessing people, being a busybody, interfering with the living…or worst like someone mentioned even as ghost she still wants to mess up someone else marriage

I still believe SB big secret is his emotional bleed, his dispute with is father made him distant from family. I think that’s why LSE was trying so hard to pull the family together. SB can’t be so cruel to marry someone he loves when he is sick or dying. Also although he is rich, he never wanted his family assets, he has his own career, his own income & never depending on his family wealth, so I doubt he married LSE just give them wealth

Exactly!! She’s been used too much by the Pan family. Parents used her to take care of son & grandson, son used her body to have sex & warmth with his mistress’s ghost, the mistress ghost used her body to touch & feel her son & lover also used her life & wealth as her own despite her being not smart enough thus almost ruin HR’s career. PSH really deserves the slap after what happen, HR should get all the settlement, after being scam into a marriage she didn’t want and leave the Pans for good. Let them take care of themselves.

One of my favourite scene in ep 13/14 was Uram meeting prof trash after the wedding. He asked if SE got married, UR said yes.. UR was eating away, the dad has the cheek to ask him if anything bothers him. Perhaps he’s still hoping to convince living with stepdad is uncomfortable, but I love UR simple answer ‘No’ then he went on saying he has a driver sending him to school now bcs his home is far from school. That really shut prof trash up. It’s like a slap on his face. UR is living a more comfortable live now than the time he left him for his mistress or maybe even before.
Talk abt the wedding, LSE was a very beautiful bride. I think she’s the most beautiful compared to everyone who has worn wedding dress in the drama. From her complexion to her dress to the wedding ceremony itself, was so beautiful. And I love that they include their children walking down the isle before them.
But poor BHR. She’s not the greatest person but she doesn’t deserve being possessed & getting married again to her scumbag husband. I think by now the best ending for her is to leave the Pan family ASAP, go the farthest away from the horrible family. Go back to her own family in America, meet a better man there

That’s the problem. YS doesn’t really want her daughter. He never thinks from his daughter POV. He was just jealous. He can’t control his ex wife, made her return to him but he’s using his biological dad cue to get what he wants. All the things he said he did for Jia, SPY has done them too and more. He made a mistake, not a small one but a huge one, even still making it as to speak since he is co habitants with his mistress which is immoral in most Asian culture. Rather than winning Jia’s heart again by being attentive & asking her forgiveness, he arrogantly forcing her to leave her mom, who did no wrongs to her & force to live with him, the father who betrayed both her & her mom. What Jia said was true, how her heart must be crushed seeing her dad in the arm of another woman who’s not her mother. It will take time to heal. YS still can’t get it into his thick head. His situation & SPY are totally different. The gf he is with now is the woman he was having affair with while still being married to SPY but the man SPY is marrying is someone she didn’t even give a 2nd glance when she was still married. And SPY actually asked her daughter’s permission before proceed her relationship to the next level.
And I don’t get it why YS was so triggered seeing Jia with a stepfather, its not like SPY stop him from meeting his daughter anytime he wants. That’s why he was just jealous that the new stepdad is winning Jia’s heart. And that he’s more rich & capable, can give even her even more than he does. He just wanted to use Jia to control SPY

I think what happened to LSE was unplanned. Like most of us, she probably thought at her age there’s no chance of getting pregnant naturally or at all. And bcs of it she probably let her guard down, not worrying abt precautions and such.
I also don’t get why many thought they’re gonna be a sexless couple, that SB is impotent. Women at any age can enjoy sex, even those who have reach menopause age, so it would selfish not to mention a humiliation for SB to marry a woman but cannot perform as a man. During her marriage to Prof Trash, LSE probably lost interest in sex because she was too tired to think abt it, she has to work to her bones to provide comfort to her family, and cater prof trash every needs at the same time. Not like he’s been home a lot to help out. While with SB, he pampers her, making her feel alive and beautiful again. I also suspect SB big secret has nothing to do with his sex life but more of his emotional bleeds due to his mom’s abandonment. Probably more on his insecurities & relationship with his father. I think that’s why after her kids told they wanted to live apart for a while, coming home after meeting with SDM, LSE was determined to pull her family together, telling them “No, nobody is leaving this family, we’re going to live together as one family”. Also I think the reason LSE accepted SB’s father invitation to live with him. She wants to mend SB & his dad relationship before its too late. She doesn’t want SB to live in regret, later in years.
I really think LSE is pregnant
1) because in earlier scene there’s Prof Trash arrogantly saying things like LSE wasn’t even a woman anymore blah blah, the pregnancy will show how far wrong he was
2) usually only pregnant woman who randomly fussy of food scent, people who are sick are just sick at any time not just bcs of smells and all

For some people, pregnancies are easier than others. I know a woman who’s 48, already has grown up sons got pregnant naturally & had a normal delivery. The pregnancy wasn’t so bad on her, she just needed more rest, that’s all. In this case though LSE is 50 yo, they were referring to her Korean age. In standard age she’s only 49, or even 48 going to be 49 (If she’s born in year end). So although its not common it does happen in real life. And I’m happy that she does. Let’s her ex, Prof Trash’s jaw drops to the ground for saying what? She’s not a woman anymore? What century is he living in? Older people enjoy sex life even better these days. Karma would really do justice if LSE got pregnant while the Trash could only shoot “empty bullets”

Agree. And honestly I’m happy she lost the baby conceived by the ghost & her ex. Some here speculated that the ghost boy was the one invaded HR’s womb. I wouldn’t want a baby conceived while the husband was seeing & making love to his mistress ghost. Now that she had a miscarriage, there’s possibility she can get pregnant again. And this time please get her away from the Pan’s family. Let SH & his parents take care of the mess they created. If HR truly wants a baby, its better for her to adopt an unfortunate orphan

I agree. She wasn’t really a bad person. She only has temper. And her ex really deserves her tantrums after what he put her thru. The ex & the in laws humiliated her over & over again. They deserve what they got after what their son did to her. Even so, when she heard someone from the family died, she was worried, thinking maybe one of her in laws. She also genuinely care for the baby. Before the beech ghost possessed her, she never interested to get back with SH. She just came to see the baby. I just hope she gets her life back, and said goodbye to the Pan family for good. She deserves a better man, who truly knows & cares for her

IMO the little boy ghost is not related to any character. He was just a ghost wondering around the apartment. He happened to follow SY’s mom to their apartment. I think the focus here was the lady who can see ghost. I suspect she will return to get the boy ghost & send him away, and that’s when she finds out SW ghost is residing in HR’s body. And she’ll be the one to free HR from SW ghost

I think its because of his eyes. People with normal vision would usually starting to experience short sighted in their mid 40s, some even as they turn 40, that’s when they need reading glasses. I guess SYS can’t read the small writing on the menu clearly unless he use reading glasses but of course he can’t loose out to the younger, hot bod, ex wife’s fiance. SDM has no problem looking at the menu since he’s still in his 30s. No short sighted issue yet

I think all the mistresses karma are started to come. For SW, its clear, she stole someone’s husband, who’s young & virile to get pregnant. She got pregnant all right, won the heart of adulterous husband’s family alright but she lost the pleasure of becoming a mother when she died during childbirth….and I’m going to ignore the ghost story bcs there’s no real evidence of ghost irl. They just wanted to throw 30s husband & HR back together again, hence the stupid ghost story.
For NGB, her karma isn’t abt her parents death. Her parents death weren’t related her, its just their fate. The real karma was when she stupidly advised & encouraged Ami to persue her married boyfriend. If Ami left YS when he wanted to end their relationship, SPY might not find out & file divorce. If she’s still married, SDM wouldn’t have fallen for SPY. Served NGB right, she made an old man, whom she’s not in love with, left his family for her, so just he could comfort her whenever. Now the love of he life dump her for her bestie boyfriend’s ex wife… serve her right
Then there’s Ami… she was never anything compared to SPY in YS’s life. It was never a choice between SPY & Ami. He was ready to throw Ami away if SPY gave the ultimatum. And it was SPY who can’t forgive & walk away from the marriage. Despite Ami attempts to please YS, everyone can see he just doesn’t care for her much… now knowing SPY is getting married not surprise if he’s gonna kick both Ami & stepmom in an attempt to SPY’s live again

BHY doesn’t deserveOh, I had enough of her since season 1, wagging her butt and showcased her boobs at a young, married man. Its not like she’s at a grandma’s age, her boobs were not much different than those in their 30s, what with her religiously going to the gym, hers could be even better *roll eyes* Just her trashy excuse to seduce a man. Among the 3 mistresses, I hate her the most.
Back to the drama, the episodes getting shorter to me, because now I completely throw towel on any 30s related scenes. Before I still watch for HR but after the horny ghost possessed her body, that’s it…remote please.
I don’t want 50s husband to die, because I want him to suffer, watching the wife he recklessly threw away without a 2nd thought, finds happiness with a good man from a good family. A man who is more than him in every way. Also I want to see how SB becomes a much better father to his children than he ever did. He deserves this much punishment I hope. Let he learn the hard way what it means by one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.
If the writer kill off SDM, that’s it for me…the episodes left will be even shorter for me…and I will NEVER ever watch any show written by this writer anymore.

I read so many speculations abt who’s Minchae’s real dad or if BYJ died or why NHD break up with BYJ.
Here’s my 2 cents
From what I see Minchae isn’t really crazy abt her dad. She mostly disappointed with her dad, not spending enough time with her to understand her. Also seems like NHD is either separated or at the brink of divorcing her husband. And my bet her husband is none other than BYJ
Here’s why I think so…
BYJ is an anchorman/reporter. His irregular working hours made it hard to be around children’s normal hours. NHD also had issue with her mom when she’s growing up. Probably his irregular working hours & career has taken a toll on their marriage. People grow up, no matter how much love & understanding a couple has, they would still drifted apart if they stayed apart most of the time. So my theory is the present NHD’s husband & father to Minchae is BYJ, but they already separated or taking time apart thinking abt their marriage. Minchae doesn’t really like her dad but after reading her mom’s diary, she too falls in love with their love story & wanted mom to be with BYJ, only to realise BYJ is actually her dad. Probably she’ll get her parents back together when she reminds them of how they fall in love.
****so why is Minchae surname is Kim not Baek? Well that is super easy…many girls who grew up in the 80s & 90s would know this. Most of us when writing diaries would never use our crush real name, in case someone find our diaries & made fun of us. In that era, there’s no passcode nor fingerprints to access to our diary’s contents. So my bet is BYJ is just a made up name by NHD to cover up the real guy’s name Baek Yi Jin real name probably Kim Something

On the contrary SPY & SDM, being only 5 years older than SDM I’m sure she has no problem giving him a heir. Actually its even better. Rather than having brothers & cousins fighting over their family wealth, the Seos only have one legitimate heir.
When 30s ghost mistress possess over HR’s body I almost slam my tv’s remote! WTH?! Its not enough that the 30s mistress stole HR’s husband when she’s alive, now she stole HR’s body too when she’s dead? Why can’t she just stay dead. How the heck did the writer know what goes on in ghost world? Is she writing a drama or gumiho stories? Her theme are all over, like she can’t make up her mind. Even Penthouse didn’t have ghost running around even with so many murdered.
Hopefully this writer won’t kill off SDM. If she truly needs to kill anyone, just kill the 30s husband, so the mistress ghost has company & stop interfering with the livings

I just released a relief sigh when grandpa ghost finally “moves on”
but before I sit back & relax watching drama abt alive humans, here comes another ghost
I can understand grandpa ghost wanted to have his revenge before he moved on, but the mistress?? Not only she’s an adulterous & home wrecker, she was pampered like a queen by someone else husband & in laws. Of cos some made excuses for her & the 30s husband but the fact they had sex with very clear mind, she knew clearly he’s married, & he knows clearly he’s cheating on his wife, didn’t make it all right just becs she had the baby & being super nice to 30s parents. If the 30s husband had issue with his wife, he shud have some balls to confront her & divorce her before having sex with another woman. This alone will never change the fact the 30s wife was wronged by her husband & his mistress regardless how she had her revenge & humiliated her ex. Bcs it all started with the ex infidelity. No matter how much amount they paid her, it can’t compensate the hurt, heart broken & betrayal that she felt. No wife deserves to be cheated by her husband.
Also IMO between the 3 wives I feel only 30s wife hasn’t move on from her ex despite her chasing around rich bachelors.
From my understanding 50s wife loves her husband with all her might, she did everything for him while they’re together, she threw away her pride & begged him not divorce even after knowing he had a mistress. However she had done her best to hold on to him but still lost, so she has no regrets, that’s why like her daughter said the ship has sail as she has open up her heart to another man.
The 40s wife was so confident in her husband that she never see it coming. She was shock that she lost her ability to speak, which gave her some time to think & reflect. She’s a prideful woman but she swallowed her pride & suggested for her & daughter to live abroad but her arrogant husband refused to allow it. He wanted his main dish & side dish too, which lead to their divorce. Also gave an opportunity to the wife to vent out her anger on her husband, regak way. And eventually she’s done with the troublesome trio, husband, step MIL & mistress. She has moves on and ready to have another man in her life, that’s why it didn’t bother her much abt Ami with her ex anymore. In fact she finds it amusing watching Ami & step MIL fighting for her ex attention. So even if she doesn’t end up with younger Seo brother, I doubt she’ll ever go back to her ex.
Now I see the 30s wife a bit different. She’s harsh, arrogant & prideful but deep down she truly loves 30s husband. Even after knowing her husband’s infidelity, she’s willing to forgive him & start fresh with him. She even went as far trying to conceive for him despite against her own initial plan to not having any kids. Sure she yell, scream & hit her ex (all of what he deserved anyway, not that it compensate the hurt she felt) but the real reason she agreed to divorce is because she can’t conceive or having a child & knowing how much his ex wanted a child, so she agreed. However her pride won’t let him walk all over her & had an easy divorce after the pain he cause her. She asked material compensation from her ex & in law, which she deserves. And they can very well afford it since they can buy an apartment for the mistress why can’t they compensate her with a house. Also she ruin his reputation by revealing his infidelity but then again didn’t he ruin her reputation by divorcing her? She’s a celebrity & thei image are important to make money. Ppl might think she was in the wrong so might as well let ppl know the truth. Since he dared to cheat why did he got angry when she revealed the truth?He should at least man up to his own fault. He deserves it. But now come the mistress ghost hovering around her son? The mistress should just stay dead since no one wronged her.
Anyway did this writer can see afterlife world since no dead person ever comes back to life to tell a story unless of cos this writer’s ghost story based on another drama, like stealing ideas from HI By Mama perhap? Especially when her drama writing & theme are all over…
I truly pity all wives in the drama, not only they have to deal with adulterous men, the had to deal with ghost too

Just finished the show. One of the best romantic C drama I watched in a long time. Love the chemistry of the leads. Truly believable, looks like real lovers. Also love there’s no 3rd party angst or extreme relationship sabotage. Their problems are their own selves which they themselves eventually solved. Love how the love story unfold. And I love how in ep 30 they show the story from teen Lu Yanchen side, his crush on GX before their introduction. Both leads are great portraying their teens & adult selves, especially Jing Boran who has a more manly & mature look but still pull it through.
Granted it’s a bit slow moving but I really love how the story unfold, the details, the chemistry & the beautiful cinematography. Really recommended for anyone who’s in the mood for a heartwarming, nostalgic love story
