I've watched episode 15 yesterday and stayed away in this thread for me not to comment... The episode completely crushed my heart and I am afraid I may rant so much at what Oh Young did and completely take Oh Soo's side. I don't want to appear too subjective. I was 17 when it happened and now that I'm an adult I still think the same way and still questions keep running through my head. My aunt tried to commit suicide. Oh God, that was really a horrible thing to experience. It was late at night and I'm about to go to bed. I'm staying at my college dorm and a relative of mine called me saying what happened to my aunt. I was in my first year of taking up bachelor in nursing and if you are in a medical field your relative will consult you first up to the most simplest pain they felt. They picked me up and we headed to the hospital. The sight of my aunt in the hospital bed still haunts me till now. I've handled lots of patients and it hurts me if I didn't help them to feel better but its most heartbreaking when you see a relative of yours in the hospital bed and much worst for the reason they wanted to take their own lives. It makes you question things you knew you were satisfied with but in the end you found out it was not enough for that person to be a source of strength. It leaves you bruise for life. It cuts deep. It may heal but a scar will always be there to remind you. She had two beautiful kids and the most thing I'm proud of is belonging to a whole loving family and yet she choose to do an ugly thing. I thought we have a loving family. The one who is always there for each other so it has taken me by surprise when everything I thought was right became blurry all of a sudden.
When I saw Youngie committed suicide, I was questioning her logic like what I have done with my aunt. Did she not know how the person around her will feel if she choose to take away her life? Can't she see/feel how the people around her love and care for her? Wasn't that enough for her as a source of strength? As a source to live? What was she thinking? How did she arrive at that decision? I felt bad for Oh Soo. If Youngie dies, Oh Soo will definitely blame and question himself. Didn't Youngie consider what will Oh Soo feel and she totally knew what Oh Soo went through before so why choose this path? A lot of things went through my mind watching episode 15. I'm trying to balance Oh Young's thought process between my own experience from a relative who try to commit the same mistakes. Like my aunt, Youngie might felt helpless and a burden to others plus she got a brain tumor to deal with. In the end, I only find comfort at the thought that not everyone is as tough as the other and not everything you find satisfying is also satisfying for others. Everyone has their own different coping mechanisms and sadly there were some who were just too weak and choose a horrible act of taking their own lives. After that incident, my aunt was so apologetic to the whole family and she witness how we were all there for her. She went for a few counselling and now the eldest is about to enter high school this year.
What Oh Young needs and any suicidal patient is a continuous assurance and a loving atmosphere (which was all taken away from her when SW and Oh Soo left) and that is what Oh Soo can give her. At the previous episode, I thought Oh Young were the stronger one but we were really con since at the very start Oh Young has her signs of suicide tendencies. Like what Oh Soo said in the last episode that he is hoping that he will be Oh Young's reason for wanting to live will happen after this tragic scene. So writernim, after these two went through a lot. I believe a happy ending is the most reasonable for them. Oh Soo who went through a lot living like a trash has finally found someone that changed him. Oh Young needs to see how life can be beautiful now that there is someone who can give her that. Everyone deserves a chance at another take. I trust you, writer Noh.
I'm sorry for a long post. It's just the last episode was like a ghost from the past for me...In the family, I'd like to assume the role of a tough one so I hate showing my weakness because I want them to rely on me. Didn't know this drama could help me relieve and ease a pain from the past. I can at least voice out my opinion as well as sharing this experience. Thank God for this thread.. -

I'd be heading to the rural area for the holly week with my family( ( ( and I will be such a spoiler if I choose to be left in the city plus I can't reason to them that I don't want to go because I'm waiting for a drama to air..It is completely reasonable for me but to them they will find me weird and funny...
But I will be bringing everything with me to be here later, I just hope the reception there would be good (who am I kidding anyway??)...I'll stay on a roof if I need to just to access in here... =))

I can't wait to watch it since I enjoy watching historical movies from china..I enjoy and cried watching Ip Man 1 to 3, The Lady (if it is a Chinese movie since Michelle Yeoh is staring in it----I swear I can fill a bucket with tears watching The Lady) and saving The Grandmaster (And A reason to live and re-watching SHK's drama) to watch to lessen my withdrawal symptoms once TWTWB's ends. -

A lot of prediction for the ending in here....I'd say that I will give up thinking what will happen in the ending since writer Noh so far didn't disappoint me...She sure is one talented writer.. She writes That Winter beautifully and whatever suits her taste or judgement at the ending, I'll completely trust her.. Though I need lots of courage if it is going to be a sad ending.. X_X

You can check it out but writer Kim Eun Sook is the writer of Secret Garden and A Gentleman's Dignity where in AGD Yong Hwa appears in a cameo solely because writer Kim Eun Suk fought for Yong Hwa to get that part and he leaves a strong impression on her..So wishing it is true....Were did you hear that rumor? :-/
