  1. I totally agree with you both.  Disregarding the single mother and her struggles to raise 4 kids without financial support during their most important growing years is a real insult to those Mothers.  She sacrificed and lived in poverty while her legal husband ran off for an easier life with a new partner.  Since Korea no longer punishes men for their infidelity, he gets off pretty easy.  And the humiliation dished out by new wife to old wife for a liver donation is beyond belief.  I get that the message of family loyalty is what the goal is in these last episodes, but unfortunately, the loyalty should be going to Mother, not Father.

  2. Pretty typical and predictable ending.  Meh.<_<  By extending this to 150 episodes, I would  liked to have seen more as BSH and JM took over the company, renamed it, and created a successful and profitable company, bigger and better than before.  Their story is just beginning.

The collection of evidence of crimes was so overdone and became tiresome as it took forever to get to the right people to start prosecution.  We know how slow a judicial system can work anyway, but there didn't seem to be officials on the case, despite Chairman having a bunch of people "in his pocket".  Oh well, at least no one "walked" or died via the big white truck and escape jail time.

Thanks for all the comments, everyone!  :D

  3. I don't think I've ever seen someone outrunning the police in high heels, and then change into someone's oversized tennis shoes running flat footed through alleys so cleverly to outwit the authorities.  JK is truly talented.

And how is J Town doing these days?  Is everyone getting paid and the construction buzzing along?  Considering there would have to be permits issued, plans presented, and media coverage about future city projects, the Chairman is a real dunce for not finding out about it all.  Oh, yeah, (slap forehead) it's K drama.

  4. I understand that seeds are being planted for JM and Bok Soon, but I'm still holding out that JM's parents were prominent people of influence that would put him a step above JK.  Chun Ja remarked that "the town was in an uproar" when a boy was stolen, and that could mean that a prominent family lost a child.  Not to demean Bok Soon, but I would enjoy another stick in the eye for JK.  <_<

  5. For sure, this drama is turning out to be a real yawner.  BSH has told JK to "brace herself" 4 times by my count, so I'm still waiting for the real revenge to actually start.  And yes, JK announcing Jae Min's secret , after the initial shock, will truly make his day!  Go for it , JK!  He's going to be the grand winner anyway by marrying BSH and having a big share of the company while Chairman and JK will be in poverty.  They both deserve prison but I'm not counting on a harsh ending for them because writer nim will go soft and figure poverty will suffice.  I only wish BSH would give the "fire in the belly" aura instead of the mealy mouthed persona she's showing.  Her dead father deserves better. <_<

  6. Yes, episode 15 is really delightful with a lot of loose ends and previous conflicts being resolved.  But the end with Uncle being diagnosed with a serious heart issue that requires a heart transplant is a bummer.  I hope we get a happy ending despite the monkey wrench that was just tossed in!

  7. Also in today's episode, BSH learned from Mr. Kang that Daekook was her father's company.  Mr. Kang skirted the question posed to him by BSH as to whether Chairman was a friend who betrayed her father.  It seems reasonable at this point that HR and BSH should unite, perhaps secretly, to verify their relationship.  I'm hoping HR will disclose to BSH that JM is not a biological son.  In any event, though, it's a sticky wicket and Chairman is going to freak out when these last shoes drop.

  8. Funny that BSH didn't go to the edge of the cliff and look for any signs of broken twigs, bushes, etc., that would have been disturbed by a person falling down the slope.  And maybe something at the water's edge?  A poster on another site said lounge Mom posted a picture on instagram for a website that showed a funeral in the background.  Maybe JK is going the full scenario with death and the hidden identity to escape prosecution, which is, by the way, another crime.

  9. A little confusing at the end of episode 14 when there is a 7 year jump and nephew is a pop star being interviewed.  He claims that "uncle disappeared".  I don't know if that is a diversion tactic so he's no longer being harassed, but I would hate to think that Uncle is no longer a part of Ji Hoo's life as JH becomes successful.  Anyway, episode 14 is great. :D

  10. O.K., the "not so great escape" was pretty far fetched in that the heiress gets carried on the back of the policeman like a sack of potatoes.:unamused:  Jeez, no ambulance for the prickly princess?  No female suspect is going to be without a female attendant, probably attached with handcuffs.  Cheers for SC getting slapped silly by mistress Mom, but I grimaced when that poor office attendant got the sucker punch in the stomach from Chairman.  OOF!!:grimace:

  11. I agree, it's probably a fake result.  I wouldn't be surprised if there is another flashback to someone switching the water glasses without JK seeing it, thus putting a pox on the old DNA trick.

And more LOL moments from the prison unnies when they hid in the van next to SC's car, then popped up like toast when he drove off with a tracker on his car!  They are so funny! :D

At some point it's going to be Seo Jun who has a bad case of the sads when he finally realizes that BSH is just not into him.  Time to move on.

I'm going to stick with the prediction that the mother/daughter relationship with Mrs. Joo and BSH is either not revealed at all, or perhaps, in secret between the two so as not to diminish the BSH/JM relationship.  Writer nim is clever at navigating these muddy waters, so it could be a real surprise.:tounge_wink:

  12. The feeling from another thread is that the kidnapped person is the witness that saw Grandma being killed, who ran away after BSH had pursued him and was threatened by JK and Mr. Kim.  The commenter thought the witness was being kept in an asylum.  Could that have been some time ago, the kidnapping was a flashback, and now the witness is out?  JK seems to be in a panic.

  13. I was also so glad that Joon Hee told Ji Hoo in secret that he may be coming back to them soon.  That should relieve his mind somewhat knowing there is a light at the end of the tunnel.  The idea of giving him pills that make him sick so he can study longer without sleep is sickening.  I'm glad we're approaching payback time!:D

  14. We are definitely heading into the homestretch now.  The stars are lining up nicely with the help of "big brother" who knows the legal system well and has connections.  Uncle has the A-team on his side and Grandma and her idiot son will soon be shaking in their boots!  It looks like JiHoo will be joining his mother and uncle pretty soon.  And, I have to say, I've seen bits of the BBC version of this story and the Koreans have the edge with their charm and outstanding acting.  It just fits the Korean drama series so perfectly.

  15. Boy, episodes 7-8 were jampacked!  There was so much in each episode and I loved it all.  I'm glad, too, that some of those thorny issues were quickly resolved, even if they are somewhat unbelievable.  I got the impression that NoEul's father had something to do with the law, maybe a lawyer or prosecutor, or detective.    Definitely someone with connections.

This could get interesting if weird Grandma decides to run for office and her peppered past comes out with some unique investigation and exposure!  I have a feeling she's definitely going to get what she deserves in the end.
