  1. *theory* About the pojangmacha scene... is it possible Sunmi is crying because she foresaw OG dying? I only think this because unless I remember incorrectly every time she cried/got emotional it was related to him. SM may be selfless, but the only thing she is truly afraid of more than hurting OG is losing him I think.

I hope tvn releases a spoiler video before the new episode airs lmao

It's a cute article. Number 3 was a new one I hadn't thought of, however. Probably because it talks about treating Ah Sa Nyeo more nicely, whereas I just want ASN to get out of the way so that OG and SM can have a little togetherness time. :)

Agreed, it's kind of hard for us as viewers to sympathize with ASN or for those in the story aware of who she is right away (ie. OG) to treat her nicely when one of the first things she did upon taking over Buja's body was pull that rose bouquet voodoo plot to gain power. Now if she had acted differently to begin with, maybe she could have earned some sympathy, but from what we're shown she doesn't really have a purpose imo except wanting to make a king (but why??) I hope the next few episodes answers this question because it really seems like she's just there to be the token bad-guy ally.

I was curious why you think that OG is unaware that SM's feelings for him are real. SM has been telling OG all along that she's fallen for him and that she likes him, though it's true that she's only said the words "I love you" to him when he's asleep. Still, I think both OG and SM are sure about SM's love for OG. It's OG's love for SM without the geumganggo that both are a little bit afraid to find out about.

Sorry for cutting your post. I'm really bad at wording my thoughts in general.. but it's mostly what I interpreted from watching the scenes themselves, and what has been hinted. Indeed, like you said, SM has never said "I love you" directly to OG while he was conscious. But also unless my memory fails me, she's only said "I've come to like you more and more"? OG's actions don't indicate that he knows for sure that SM loves him in my opinion. I think the thing SBR (dirty liar he may be) said about the GGG blocking them from realizing their true feelings for each other while he was talking to WG is not a lie.

"It's OG's love for SM without the geumganggo that both are a little bit afraid to find out about." - I agree with this point though. Btw tvn uploaded with a tagline "Everyone except you two knows that (you'll) still love (SM) without the GGG.

I'll be glad if I'm wrong, but it's just what I think. haha

  4. imo the sad thing is even though SM&OG have learnt to trust each other, they still keep missing an emotional meeting point. OG is also unaware that SM's feelings for him are real, he only knows that his love for her is real... which is why I'm really curious to know what SM will confess to him and what the human betrayal is about. I have a suspicion the GGG will be removed as a cliffhanger, but don't quote me. lol

  5. I have no doubt that OG loves JSM's soul, but I'm pretty sure the reason why he was never tricked by ASN in SM/Buja's body is because of his eye power (allowing him to identify evil no matter what form) which he gained after being burned for 49 days. This really attests to LSG's acting skill imo since CG wasn't used. I'm guessing that SM has yet to unlock his other powers since she is "the key".

  6. While I do agree that it's a nice plot twist, SM turning out to be MW's kid would be such a makjang. lol

I'm not sure if someone mentioned it already, but why would they cut directly to the grandson right after MW confronting SBR about his child? And then there is the thing with SBR sharing the macarons with him too. Or maybe these really are red herrings to throw us off?

I'm okay with angst as long as we get a happy ending. *prayer circle for otp to be happy* T_T

Did she mean that once SJ dies he wouldn't suffer because she thinks his love isn't genuine and it's only due to the GGG or am I interpreting it wrong lol

(Me looking too deep) I think there might be a deeper meaning to the GGG that we don't know about yet. lol

    His reply seems like foreshadowing to me though. I agree with that theory that SM will sacrifice herself...  ;__;

  8. imo the conversation OG had with the doctor on the bridge is quite telling...

when she tells him that he can escape suffering like she did because of the GGG, he replies:

“Because I have this on, I can’t begin to fathom what kind and how great the suffering would be after this disappears. I’m…more afraid of that.”

I may be looking too deep into things like I usually do though. lol

Can someone translate the conversation? Love it when OG was furious at 0:11. Even when he yells, he's hot!

    -Great Sage

    -Give me the incense burner

-I can't give it to you

    -WG!!!

-Sam Jang and you have a fate where she can hurt you. Getting rid of the incense burner isn't betraying you.

-I need the incense burner in order to find my wife.

-Please don't come closer. I also need to protect my sister's soul.

-I didn't want to kill you.

(.. and then it's WG telling his sister she mustn't use her strength and go back into his body. The sister says she should have disappeared a long time ago)

    ---

For me the ending was bittersweet, like she's letting him go.

I hope he actually heard her say "I love you". :(

Yah but my point is not who depicts ASN better.

Since LSY already portrayed ASN in a way, and the viewers saw that first, then there needs to be a continuation. My point here is OYS is portraying her own version of ASN.

From how I see it, ASN gained more confidence and liveliness since everything was going her way and she made it into SJ’s (keyword:human) body compared to when she was in Buja’s (zombie) body and didn’t know how things would turn out. So yeah there is a continuation, but that’s my two cents.

  11. I’m a big fan of OYS and I’m not trying to be biased, but to me she is perfect. I don’t understand all the hate she/her character is getting. I think some viewers criticizing forget that Sunmi is in her mid-thirties + socially awkward and only started opening up more once she met OG again. Of course she’s not going to be the typically peppy Kdrama heroine.

I’m super impressed at the way she changes the emotion in her eyes/expression. LSG is excellent at this as well. This is one of the reasons why I totally buy the chemistry they’re selling. I’ve seen people say they have no chemistry and my reply is ... “are we even watching the same drama?” lmao
