  1. The ending of the third episode kinda surprised me but did not amuse me.  Bo Gum's expression is a little bland for me when he said "I miss you".  The longing in his eyes is lacking unlike his expression when he said that to Kim Yoong Jung.  I also think it's too early for him to say that to his boss when she clearly said to him that theirs is just an employee and boss relationship.  He should keep some reservation out of respect and wait till her feelings for him fully develop.  Even in real life, no matter how much you like someone, you can't confess that easily.  You have to muster a lot of courage to do that. It came out of his mouth so easily.  Boy likes girl or girl likes boy but feelings are being suppressed till the time they are ready to explode.   Aren't these the reason why we like Korean dramas?  Secret love, jealousy, love-hate relationship, they are the spices that never run out of taste.  My anticipation and excitement are gone now.  As always, i will continue to watch this drama and pull through to the end, if only because of PBG.

Some have said that the role is very much like PBG's actual character but he apparently he turned down lots of roles before he finally accepted this one so there probably will be interesting developments which prompted him to take this. PBG has been called Nation's "Son-in-law" meaning that Korean mothers would pick him as their ideal son-in-law but clearly this won't be the case with Cha -Soo-Hyun's mother who is so ambitious that she wants her old son-in-law back.

I think after Love in the Moonlight, he decided to finish his Bachelor's Degree and did not accept any project.

I think Taek is a calm one, and Jinhyuk is more noisy, friendly and expressive. Maybe this is a reason why PBG's acting kinda overreaction, its because jinhyuk just too expressive with everything. I watched encounter with my friend and she complain "why he always smiling". Lol

For what I remember jinhyuk character almost the same with his character in chinatown, minus an expressive one. And about PBG, I think he's more introvert, calm, like choi taek but have positive manner like jinhyuk. You'r right

I am watching "Wonderful Mama" and am very amused of his character here.  He was in his late teens, a womanizer, carefree and a brat.  He's the youngest kid among three spoiled and extravagant children of a wealthy loan shark widower.  PBG is very cute and funny here.  I can't see the real Park Bo Gum that he is now.  48 episodes.  Not bad for me to spend my day while waiting for the next episodes of Encounter.  I can still watch him everyday.

Does any of you guys found him "overacting" when he tries to be cute or during nervous moments??

No, he's not.  That's how you act when you feel giddy and nervous in front of your crush.  Girls are like that and it's not different with boys, too.

To add, they can even talk and look silly, or lose focus, become absent-minded, rattled.  Many of us experienced that, even I.

  5. Just watched episode 2 and was very happy on the development of the drama.  Now, they are really acting.  I can already see the growing chemistry between them.  Good actors are always trustworthy.  Sometimes, negative comments help the drama, too.  It makes the actors work more and try their best to live with the audience's expectations.  Of course, to die-hard fans like me, it doesn't matter if there are flaws in the drama.  I just want to see Park Bo Gum and that will make my day.  But this time, no more romantic fantazies like what I had with Kim Yoo Jung and him in Love in the Moonlight.

  6. "Boring, awkward, age gap" lots of comments i've read in this drama.  Many reasons for these.  Song Hye Kyo is Song Joong Ki's wife and Joong Ki is Bo Gum's close friend.  For PBG to express his attraction to Hye Kyo in this drama, he has to set aside their current real relationships.  He has to immerse himself to his character and look up to her as just another beautiful mature actress.  I remember Secret Love Affair and Something in the Rain.  These are both May-December affair dramas but turned out to be beatifully executed, passionate and sensous.  Can PBG kiss SHK passionately in this drama?  Can he express deep emotions through his gaze and facial expressions to his leading lady?

I'm hoping this is not a mismatch.  I love both of them, really.  They are both good looking but the audience can't fantazise with them because of their true relationship.  Maybe if Song Hye Kyo is still single like before and not in a relationship with SJK, apart from the fact that she just recently got married, their love team might work.  Still, I trust that they can pull this through.  This is a test on how great these two actors are.

  7. Thank you Beiru for all the news about Yoo Seung Ho.  I wish more fans visit this thread so we can have a nice conversation here.  I recently became a huge fan of YSH after watching IANR.  After that, I began rooting for his past dramas.  Is there any news of him doing another one?

Thanks, Beiru, for posting all these news about Yoo Seung Ho.  I wish more fans visit this thread so we can have a nice conversation.  I'm from California.

  8. So glad to see that this thread is still alive.  Thanks to my soompi friends for posting SIK news and pictures.  We all miss him for sure.  I took a month vacation to the Philippines and was planning to visit South Korea next year.  Maybe Sik's family is back by then.  I really want to see him there.

I miss Yoo Ah In! I don't understand the hate he's getting for being exempted from military service. It's not like he willed his bones to have a tumor, right? People should keep an open mind about things like this. I wonder if SIG is also getting the same hate as YAI for being exempted as well.

i super love YAI! I believe he's one of the best K actors around.

    Who is SIG?

Hello everyone i seen a post about Dokdo Island considering what the Japan did to South Koran why should they not fight for what is there's. I made this video when I found about the story of Dokdo Island. Can't blame anyone about Japan not watching KD because Japan is now can go Japan because of large women's groups asking the Government to drop the issue and they did. I think this tells video the story of how much emotion went into the event. The song is THE CLIMB.

I like to say hello to all my friends!!!!!! I am still trying to make videos but the computer with all my songs and and photos as soon as it is fixed I will on fire again. My email is yvonneg.allen@gmail.com I would love to hear from you all been down a laterly love to get emails from all of you.

I always like your videos, Yvonne.  Keep going.  They remind me of Sik's glorious days.

Hi ardently, hahaha - why not? They have the looks of a boy group band.....But, I guess only one of them is interested in singing or do I stand corrected?

He's gonna be Minkuk.  Manse can play the drums or keyboard while Daehan the guitar.  That would be awesome!

  12. So love this drama.  I decided to watch this because of Yoo Ah In (never miss any of his dramas and movies) but I didn't expect it to be this good.  It's been awhile since I've watched a drama that makes me eagerly wait for the next episodes.  I wish the writer/producer would make a part2 of this.  I like to see these three actors working together again.
