That happened in ep. 6. Shwa was enlightened of that fact about IJ. So it makes sense for her to react like she did when he confessed in ep. 10. Between ep 6 to 10 she gained further insights of the 40 y.o. IJ, including how different they are during coffee morning chat at the cafe, and she made her assessment. He projected his own self to others and expect others to follow suit instead of understanding them properly. IJ really needs to open up to, and accept what is the real deal in, his heart.

@nrllee, I was looking at ep. 3 and came into the karaoke scene. The way their singing turn was arranged in the script, Shwa x Jwon were beginning (Jwon) to an end (Shwa). Tying/linking the two together, one end to the other. Just like the camera movement when he sang CINF, from him & Shwa and ended with Shwa & him again.
Oh my. You are right. This is intentionally written and directed! Lol. Sneaky Shin Lee

@nrllee do you remember? Door vision panel shot vs window shot. We only have 3 window shots as follows:
1. Ep. 10 - ikjun n shwa
2. Ep. 12 - jang n jwon
3. Ep. 12 - shwa n jwon
Do you remember you have suggested it to wishful thinking? IJ refused to go to sleep because he wants to remain in that imagination of his having meal with Shwa.
And ep. 12?
What is the difference in ep 12 window shots? One is jwon and shwa sharing secret smiles. Another is a long distant shot just like ep. 10 window shot. While ep. 10 has rain, ep 12 has snow.
Definitely a juxtaposition of sort for our FG. Snow and rain sure meant something for FG. For shwa n jwon, their window shot shows their wishful thinking, with both of them smiling, most probably reminiscing of their memorable winter or perhaps a plan is forming in their minds of a certain future together.
Suffice to say,

Omo omo @nrllee, you! How did I forget about this? Yes I mentioned the possibility of him running because of his patient but baby Ji-A T___T... it's IJ's imagination coupled with Jang's. He must have told her about it at the garden and she made the whole things up in her mind, thinking he really likes her. *roll eyes*

Yes @nrllee, it was included in our updated hint list which I am keeping WIP. Both PG and Shwa's dad practise frugality.
Werther will start in late Aug. but the casts have met today and probably practise will start soon after. There will be 5 actors playing Werther so YYS's schedule is not that pack for musical. He will be busy promoting his movie The Summit 2 starting this week till premiere sometime in Aug.

@kokodus it will make sense given 3 seasons. I have faith. 12 ep are not enough to explain everything. If people expect everything to unravel in just 12 ep, then plotline will get messy and unrealistic. That's just logic. My whole point on the matter. ^^

That is what people are losing from the complete offerings of the drama @ryanallright.
Romance is just a part of their lives. Like each of us. The bigger picture is how the 5 interact with their surroundings, how they handle their crises, how they deal with their pains, sorrows, happiness, promises etc., how they inspire people around them, how they move on with their lives. Aren't those a complete package, the bigger picture that are most satisfying to watch? This is not a teenage drama. The 5 are in their earlier 40s. Their perspectives and approaches towards life will be different. Those are the interesting aspects I look forward to. Also, I want to know the writer's view of a love that has gone through a passage of time either to be reunited or finally crossed path.

I believe people need to stop accusing the pd and writer if they can't understand her writings, his directing and their visions for this drama. Lazy writing? Cheap tricks? For the sake of what, plot twist? Really? Because why? Because the duo's projections don't match yours truly? They make this into a 3 frigging seasons drama and you expect them to roll everything in the first and second acts? We may have 36 total episodes. Did that FACT get totally washed away into oblivion? 36 episodes are a very long long way to go. Not even half way in 1 season. Anything can happen - new development, continuous development or a stunted development, ANYTHING. Open your horizon. The only one with barely any flashbacks to explain his backstory is Jwon. Then shwa. Then shyeong. Didn't you notice flashbacks are cuts instead of the full versions i.e. you get shwa, IJ & Jwan attending interview. Where were Jwon and Shyeong? Answer - yet to be revealed. So what would you do? Wait, of course! You can't just think it is a nonexistence. Did you not wait when they reveal the missing pieces from the orientation night i.e. that Shwa, IJ and Jwan were there too and walked out earlier than Shyeong and Jwon? You think we're gonna get everything in season 1 with just 12 ep? Think again. This duo break the flashbacks into pieces of puzzle which they will only fit those pieces back together, at their own sweet time, to give us the whole picture. And you won't get those in just 12 episodes. It doesn't work that way.
The most logical is to develop the story of the five, spreads across 3 seasons. The five are the MAIN leads. No two or three way about it. They all have a fair share of screen times. Let them grow throughout the 3 SEASONS. Let them go through their variations, whatever it may be.
I really, sincerely appreciate the brains behind this drama. They did really well. They taught me a lot, to think using my brain, to focus on what they want me to focus on in order to follow their directions without getting lost in the unnecessaries. They have planned well for the future direction of the drama across 2 or even 3 seasons. Their framework has been laid out nicely in the first two episodes, working in great details on it. I can see that and the PD SAID so. They worked their a** off to make this drama a masterpiece. If fans want to ignore that fact, so be it. But to look down on the team of their hardworks for the sake of broken feelings, oh well, ask yourself. I reserve further comment.
You can enjoy the drama any way you want. But give respect when it is due, not based solely on emotions.

It's already her 8th ep. and Jang still remains constant. Other residents have moved on brilliantly. But she was back to square one with latest case of the addicted patient. Makes one wanders what kind of learning process has she been taken up for the past few months. Will she be taking a year to just learn empathy? Hmmm....

@habromanic welcome to the club! It's damn addicting looking for the clues and decoding the subtleties, right? And it is so satisfying when you make the connection of all the clues that you picked up. Being a puzzle lover, I have to say the working of this drama is my cup of tea. 7 more episodes to go. Hope you will continue to enjoy the fun search of those hidden clues/hints. Key - look beyond the obvious *wink*

I need to see more to be sure about this couple. I can see that Ahn Chi Hong is a real good candidate for Iksun too. He knows her best, as Ahn Chihong said in the preview (if the preview doesn't fool me again or if the subtitles is right haha).

PS: Junwan is so "rude" but he didn't tell SongHwa that her (ex)boyfriend cheated on her right after he saw it. He said, he can't easily say something like that. I think he can't be "rude" at that fact (like SongHwa said before).
My take it is, JWan fell for Ik Sun because he finally found a girl who can shut him up and to add plus point, she dares to tease him a lot without fear. She is not easily intimidated by him kekeke. A strong character and he has found his match in her. However, I think she will make him runs in circle while waiting for her answer.
Not gonna be easy to woo a Major with 300 soldiers under her.

Thank you writer-nim for clarifying and tying up the abused case. I am concern on the vengeful father though. Will we see him again in later episode?
This episode has so many crack moments, as usual
The parental love topic for this episode is nicely presented i.e. JWon's mom, the pregnant lady with a singing husband, the sick father who is receiving his daughter's liver.
Shwa's story take an unexpected turn towards the end of the episode. I hope the biopsy result is not as serious as the initial diagnosis. I am still reading articles on her conditions. I am curious to know which one will the writer write for her. She is preparing to leave the boys and live on her own probably throughout the treatment T_T. Hope her friends can console her and be there for her. My next week is gonna be for my girl, Shwa. Fighting!

Aigoo, chill please. There is no fanwar or shipping war intended. Shwa or JWon can be with anyone for all I care. Captain Ahn going for information? Did I say I just ignore it? Aigoo... I am not talking about his character inconsistencies. Comparison can be made and result can be discussed. But I am not in issue with his character. Instead, I want to know how he is going to steal SHwa's heart. As for Dr. Jang, I am actually comparing against what the writer want me to expect i.e. the character description and what the actual presentation i.e. the playout or deliveries. Expressions are part of that deliveries. So really, my common sense has issue with these inconsistencies. My mind just works like that and that is just the way I watch. I put so much importance in deliveries, also common sense and consistencies in every kdramas that I watch. Quality over quantity. Hence, I only watch a very selected few and medical dramas are one of my favorite pick. I have little time as it is, so it is crucial to me. If I don't get the feel intended as a viewer, it spells trouble to me.
Interesting isn't it that we have differing opinions on one thing in one drama. Yeah, that is how human mind works. Not everyone see the same thing and we aren't obligated to agree on everything either.

Similarly, I have issues with this character. The character description vs the actual playout in the episodes are giving me face palms. Let me go through them while I am at it. Btw, thank you so much @alleram95 for the translation. You are an angel!

Dr. Bong gave a very simple deduction. How can the father still be fine and the kid in serious injury? And she thinks it's normal when such accident happens *face palms* If I am JWon and heard what she said, gosh I will surely give her a piece of my mind. Writer nim please do not be ignorant and simply write medical cases like this. This is the worst nightmare that could happen in ER when abuse case is not even detected during first diagnosis or even xray! At least there should be doubts from the first attending physician. Aigoo.]
In a department where the resident is a king (or in her case queen), the time has come for Gyeo Wool to choose her specialties and the professors were trying hard to win her affection. Gyeo Wool, who has been playing dumb [cause she has the power?] and consistent with her choice [so far we were shown that she consistently picks Ik Jun's cases because of JWon goodies. So is JWon her motivation on choosing which specialty to go for? If she chose PED because she wants to improve and learn more on her lack of empathy, ok though she can do it in other specialties too. But if it is just because of Jwon is there, er misguided.]
Gyeol Wool might look boring and normal for others from the outside [sorry, I don't think it is normal for a 'passionate' doctor to be looking daze when being given instruction or chucking on food like no tomorrow during a meeting when your superior is in the middle of discussion. She sent me an arrogance vibe. She is lucky it was not JWan there doing the talking. See the contrast of others vs her in the room].

[With this I would say she is a highly experienced resident - 3 years of highly demanding role as the first GS focal point in the ER, the sole assistant in GS surgeries and yet she could not detect the abuse case and give such flimsy reply. I don't know how many ER cases are there in one day. But 3 years, and being the only GS resident? I am not going to do the math, simple logic is sufficient]
My initial views on these issues are even before I read her character description. It is my common sense talking, as well as taking tips from previous watch of cases in medical dramas and from reality. So, yes I have problem to relate to this character and her potrayal didn't help either. I feel the writer needs to address this inconsistencies, and do something with her character's potrayal. Else I am gonna have a tough time to relate as I am watching each episode. I am also not feeling her deliveries as what writer nim may have expected. As of now, I am seeing too much spacing out expressions and blank eyes, they annoy me to bits. And I don't find it cute the way she went all out for information. It's borderline creepy. She will be seeing him in most ER cases where PED and GS collide, she can just approach him naturally and build rapport from there. That is what normal is. What Captain Ahn did, for example, is normal. I may even love her for taking such genuine efforts. I don't buy her "I am shy but don't care, I want to know what he feels about me" / "invite me to your home". Erk! So many contrasts, I am dizzy from being pulled here and there. One thing I agree on the character description, it's gonna take that Himalayan climb for her to be on the same wavelength with JWon. She is just so so much his polar opposite.
Did anyone notice her look when she was told JWon is not into material possession? Aigoo... sympathy, disappointment or what? I prefer Min Ha's reaction. Way better! Writer nim, mianhae and please do something...
Anyway ladies, we are still watching the same drama. It's just that we view things differently. Some may take drama watching lightly and some may watch them seriously putting in different perspectives. No pointing fingers, agree to disagree and enjoy the ride. Till next episode!

@kokodus I think that voiceover is probably Dr. Jang. We know she is very eager (oh my dear heart please do not faint). If it is not her, then probably one of the obgyn doctors who will confess to SeokHyeong. Remember JWon commenting on someone has been single for so long (as if he himself is any different *roll eyes*). So perhaps the confession is for SeokHyeong. Only next week will tell...hahahaha
