@Yoga Unnie not everyone can stomach the narrative in R94. I stayed solely for the melo YYS. I dont care about OTP. They were obviously endgame by end of Ep. 1. I don't get the need for husband hunting game lmao. It was sooooo obvious who she likes and that ain't gonna change unless he died hahahahhaha. Kdrama trope 101 - unless her first love is a total jack*** or dead, main girl will stick with her first love = endgame. Why bother finding unnecessary clues.
See, HP is everything about ShinLee's past projects. I have watched all except some mid episodes of R88 which I will need to return to if I feel the need too. This is what I deduced from HP:
1. They carried over the "31 Dec 1999 as year of separation" remarks from R1997 and its similar anecdotes in R1994 to base the timing for HP i.e. the 99ers. 1999 is where main OTPs in R97 and R94 started to draw apart before they reunited again. Again, winter of 1999. It is the "winter" if you get what I mean. Not that winter, that is all surface and no depth.
In R97, we have a fangirl climbing over her idol's house to confess to him, crying saying she liked him. Guess what he did? He rubbed her head and asked her, "Love?" with a smirk on his face. Later it was told he asked her not to come to his house again. Lmao. Watch it and you will see the resemblance. Stalkerish fangirl = big no. Not healthy.
2. Rewrite and mashups the characteristics and stories of the main leads in R94, then use these mix ingredients to create basis for the characters and story of the MAIN LEADS (emphasised) in HP. Of course, some supporting roles have a bit of referencing as well. ShinLee love to troll *shrug*
3. Use their refined husband hunting technique from R88 whereby the husband was kept in the dark, in the background while the other guy aka the baseball guy took center stage. I knew he won't be the one because of how he treated her. That is a big red flag for me. Don't know why many find that romantic. It is downright demeaning.
4. Use the background of prison playbook as inspiration to create the background for HP i.e. PP is the story of inmates in a selected prison vs HP is a story of medical staff in a selected Hospital. Just like PP, HP aka the Yulje hospital has it main owner who is the main character in the whole building. He is the owner, why would he not be the main OTP lol. Ep. 1 and Ep. 2 kicked start with introduction of the Main OTP. That is as obvious as you can get with ShinLee byproducts. You do not need to wait until Ep. 12 to get it. That is just simply feign ignorance and full ego at play because you ignore what they have been trying to tell from the VERY beginning.
So, if lurkers have nothing better to do than talk bulls about FGrs and put words in our mouths, I suggest you go and finish your homework on ShinLee's projects until you get them. Never in any of ShinLee main OTPs that they did not care for each other. Never did they try to change their partners. They ACCEPTED their partners as is, without measure and they respected, understood, cared for, trusted and leaned on their partners from beginning till end. That is your biggest clue. Demeaning acts, selfish acts, treating the girl as possession, inconsiderate of her needs, thoughts and whole being is a formula for failure.
12 more episodes to go... no need to expect new things but only for the base story to grow deeper. We'll see what they have in store for us.

This! I have always held on to my view that no such relationship should happen between those in direct supervision of their juniors. I have seen it in RDTK and look what happened to the main female lead? She had her relationship in secret with her direct superior who in the end was actually cheating on her with a nurse in the same department.
I have also always thought that all the residents who are crushing on their professors will eventually move on without being in a romantic relationship with their said crush. Perhaps Minha had a chance given that she still has no sunset scene with Shyeong but I hope if ever it happened, they are no longer working in the same hospital or in direct supervision with each other.
I am super glad that Shwa x Shyeong showed such high professionalism and rejected their juniors. It would be terribly awkward to scold your young girlfriend in front of everyone and then having to make up for it later and the possible cover-ups. Not to mention the relationship will be in secret due to talks and claims of biasness and unfair treatment. Imagine having to break up and then continue to work together as if nothing happens. Fact is, such relationship just spells trouble from a to z.

Another sunset??? Really ShinLee? Kekekekeke... you know we get it. It is the final story. The farewell. You need us to prep some tissues? Hahahaha Anyway a friend told me how all these S2 teaser and posters resonate with a final goodbye. She said it was in the OST You to Me, Me to You:
"I hope that, to you, I will become
A perfect piece of memory like a sunset,
And will remain without regrets like a picture""Oh that reminds you of our precious green days"
While you are at it ShinLee, I need show to give me that 'precious green days' parts in S2. :p

He is what the Flower Garden ost of R88 turned HP OST described i.e. You are warmth (Korean Title) aka Beyond the Rainbow Forest (English Title). Until today I wonder why they did not use the translation of the Korean title properly. Instead, they purposely translated it with totally different words. Weird.
Another one that keeps me curious is how consistent ShinLee would be in using this sunset scene in S2. ShinLee deliberately write a pairing plot for these two:
1. They have flashback of first meeting with Shwa which continued to their confessions. Shyeong was rejected in the past so to stay consistent with their narrative, perhaps Ikjun will get his rejection.
2. Ikjun has sunset scene when he confessed to Shwa which resembled the sunset when his wife came for a divorce. A separation is looming. Having them walk together under the similar sun setting situation does not improve his chance at all.
3. Shyeong x Ikjun have both moved on from their unrequited feelings for Shwa and got married. Which means both did not wait for Shwa and Shwa did not wait for them. She has gone into multiple relationships with no intention to get married (re. Bong). Shwa still finds it's necessary to escape Shyeong's mom matchmaking plan. Shwa did not rely on Ikjun despite he came on his own accord to accompany her during biopsy result. Instead she rejected his words of comfort, something she herself wouldn't practise.
4. They both got a call from their residents and left their position during practise to spend the night with them back at the hospital (re. Ep. 5).
5. The inssa and assa have grown to be closer together. They have more heart to heart sessions. Ikjun came looking for Shyeong when he has free time. Shyeong visiting Ikjun's room and they ended up going for a drink together.
6. Now we have them both sitting at sunset in S2. It feels like a closure to their history with Shwa. I think Shyeong x Ikjun will choose and live for their important persons i.e. mom and son, respectively.
Will the sunset = farewell/ separation theme be continued into S2? 4 weeks to go to find the truth ^^

What actually makes me wonder is those clips of shwa x jwan x shyeong x ikjun all deep in thought i.e. in a dilemma. For shwa, she was in her room, in the dark. Have to be personal matter. What could it be?

@nrllee S2 moving poster is out as predicted, yet again lol. Next is the longer version of the teaser. Canon by Pachelbel is ending and they are returning to their beginning. A fresh restart for FG, perhaps? Junwan as the Haitai for PG x Shwa? ^^

@nrllee the song, the mv are so beautiful. I can only see our FG finding their way to one another. The vase, the note, them waiting, trusting each other, understanding and leaning on each other. They willingly took care of each other too, in their quiet ways. No others have these elements except our FG. Ikjun is very different than Shwa. Ikjun's pet is also very different than Jwon. ShinLee made sure to point out about these differences from the very beginning i.e. Shwa x Jwon did not agree with the advise of Ikjun x his resident, respectively, including their ways of doing things.
Wishing for our FG a happiness they deserve.

That's right, @nrlleemajor imitations/ references being made from the Reply series and Prison Playbook. Shinlee is working really hard in making HP = Canon in D by J. Pachelbel. The imitations and the variations, the reason there's a band in HP is to make this happen.
@keutin have you watch the Youth Over Flowers Laos edition? Shinlee was there doting on the 3 guys. YYS carried the travel book like a priest and eagerly hopped on Buddhist temple hunt dragging the reluctant boys kekekeke... ShinLee's inspiration for YYS and Jwon came from wayyyyy back.

Firstly, @nrllee, can we please ask mod to remove the pests lurking here? That ryan and seasonal whatever. Why are they so scared of FG when they have been so sure of their own ship, I wonder? Dude, play at your own turf. What's up with your insecurity complex?
Anyway, I think the turning point for FG, if ever, would be at Ep. 7 of S2 @nrllee just like in S1. This is when Canon the music will return to its old position, our FG will return to their dynamic as indicated in the Kalguksu scene. Even if ShinLee decided to change their philosophy on long lasting love this time just because the 99ers are people in their 40s, we know in our books that FG is the best relationship out there. This is a relationship to root for where one supports, trusts, understands and love each other without measures. There is no me me me. Stay for me. Live for me. That is just a start of a problematic relationship, especially when his mother was the one asking for help yet the girl wanting him to stay not because of his mother plea but because she wants him to stay in front of her. Lol. Girl, a picture will suffice. Lmao. The future conflicts that I don't envy.
I don't know what LWJ will be writing, nor what Shin PD is planning. If they think a love for people in their 40s are that much different than those in their 30s or even 20s, whatever. For me, despite your age, you love unconditionally. Even if you are in your 20s you would want stability, someone who you can lean on and trust in your long term journey into marriage. That will not change according to my book.
Shin PD said old memories alone are not enough to live each day with passion. Oddly, Jwan returns to his past i.e. iksun, the girl who grew up with him as they are from same hometown. Shyeong having to deal with his past i.e. his ex-wife. Ikjun wanting to make up for his unfinished confession to his old flame i.e. Shwa. Shwa has been remembering her past i.e. the rain that holds so many memories to her. What are those memories? As for Jwon, he is the only one leaving his past i.e. his dream of becoming a priest. What is there in his past? Who is his 1st love? These are to be continued. ^^

Another post from our affiliate tumblr. They established that Shwa x Jwon as coming from Seoul in S1. Not sure how the backstory of Shwa x Jwon will be revealed next in S2. The consistent used of these references is too much, no?
It is like a set of rules they stick to and follow diligently.
Just like Canon, HP is an imitation-based drama indeed.

Talking about flashbacks, it is another common reference/rule used by ShinLee. In Japan, Chilbong has a flashback of his snowy winter confession to Najung. Junhwan of R1988 also has a flashback featuring Deoksun. In HP, Chihong, Ikjun, & Shyeong all have flashbacks with Shwa either regarding first meeting, confession and/or rejection. Someone has flashback on Jwon too. The main subjects of affection on these flashbacks are Shwa x Jwon. Shin PD refused to expose who are FG's lovelines in their casting iv post HP S1 when he supposedly already confirmed all lovelines. But he did explicitly exposed the subject of affections of the two residents related to our FG.
We'll see nrllee if they will remain consistent in applying their rules. ^^

- Najung has to leave Seoul to work in Australia. Will Jwon go to Sokcho as indicated by the Director that they have a PED there?
- Trash has to transfer to Busan for a year. Shwa left for Sokcho for a year.
- Trash asked Najung if she wants to marry him. Shwa told Jwon, Let's get married. Lol
- Samcheonpo bickered with Yoojin initially but slowly cared for her. Ikjun did so too with his resident. And guess who is the aloof cold Army fangirl in HP who is destined for this cyclist who only cares for her whenever, wherever, however, to the point of making her pretended the flowers from his was from her fiancee, giving her chocolate just like his sister did to Jwan? Take a guess.... kekeke
So, what was the ending for these two? Haitai got back together and married his hometown girlfriend. Samcheonpo married Yoonjin. And oh, Najung married Trash lol.
For me, HP is the Writer's way of correcting her mistake for Chilbong. It's Chilbong's chance encounter with his girl, his love story. Chilbong is the only one from Seoul. And in HP we have Shwa x Jwon x Shyeong as the Seoul trio. We know how Shwa felt for Shyeong. We know how Shwa treated Jwon caringly as he treated her. This time the main couple's story is the story of our kindhearted Seoul couple, Shwa x Jwon = Flower Garden. Amen.

I miss them @nrllee . This scene is sad. I hope they will find happiness in each other. They are the only two people who have a heart to heart talk like this. She supported him and he trusted her just as she trusted him.
Do you know JKH suggested to Mido to watch the series Two People? It tells a story of childhood friends, growing up from same town, repeatedly falling in love with each other and break ups. They concealed their deep connection from their peers. Remember I told you about the childhood formula, same town, and secret love?

They definitely won't find any crumbs to suit their narratives or support their biggest ships (?) since we are mainly referencing formulas from the Reply series as well as Prison Playbook. Actually these consistent formulas used actually debunk their theories. Let's not go to the whatever fantasy, mythology or tarot cards reading tips please.
And err, the karaoke numbers too. lol Just stick to the script and if they have some free time, do their homework and finish all ShinLee's past works from A to Z, no cheating! Then, let's have a proper conversation again. 
I hope girls put some value in themselves. See, getting under the pants of the first guy who kisses you without proper communication about you and him as a person first, is not how you wanna start your relationship. Think. He even rejected you for no valid reason at all, and he lied about it too. That was after he 'supposedly' worry about you? So is that romantic? Yet when you begged him, the first thing he did without any words is kiss you and you think you already find your soulmate? You think a guy being repressed is cool? Do some reading girls.
For me, this scene was added into HP as a lesson to those who are having big one-sided crush on someone i.e. the fangirls. Be wise, not stupid. Do you really wanna learn your lesson the hard way? Shin PD said HP will not be a linear continuation of same scenario, cos what is the point of seasonal then. His words, not mine. As we know ShinLee are big on nostalgia. And yes, I believe ShinLee will further explain to us what is going on with that ending when they have made so much efforts to connect Shwa and Jwon as the pair with the best understanding, shared values and interests between each other than the rest. So, I am taking chances and will wait for what ShinLee are going to show us. They might break my heart, but hey I am very clear on the kind of relationship I seek, in a drama or in reality. And I won't change for less.

@nrllee yeah. Kim Junhan has joined another drama. Maybe he will cameo? It depends on his schedule. If he played lead, probably tough to do it. Meanwhile, Eunjin has taken up a special appearance role in Song Ji Hyo's drama. Which means she has no HP filming or that she has done her bit of filming for S2 or she has some free time right now before filming of her scene begins (or resumes). Which also means that either Shin PD is currently finishing a lot of 99er's scenes or that Eunjin also will have a minor appearance in S2, perhaps towards the end - probably ep. 4/6 onwards? We will only know for sure when the script reading news comes out either this month or in April. From my observation, it seems Shin PD is rushing things up. He probably trying to catch up with the delays and/or the April premiere. Filming deadline will be until July cos JJS is booked for his movie then. We'll see.
Eunjin's special appearance in that new drama could be just an episode or two - one of the many stories that SJH will have to deal with. She still has not cut her hair and it is longer than during HP. Are we having a longer-haired minha in S2? Long hair can either means time jump or flashback. We'll see. For now, perhaps Shyeong will be busy settling things with ex-wife. ^^
I sometimes wonder how can people be so easy to jump into a selective narrative without having to brainstorm the many possibilities given the situations involved. All these guesses have to have a cohesive link in order for it to be deemed reliable information that are relevant and trusted. If they can't find it, then drop it or keep a mental note until another hint comes up, and then recalibrate. Would be mentally healthy to keep everything open for now until we have concrete information.

I don't know why they think a leading actress can do multiple works simultaneously. I have never heard of it. All I know a leading actress has a rule. To appear tip top on filming day i.e. enough rest, sleep etc. Shin PD is known for night filming, stretched until 2 to 3 am or even beyond, almost for the majority part of the episodes just so that he can avoid spoilers. The mafia game, for example, was filmed at night though the scene showed daytime. If ever she will return for filming, it has to either be after she's done with the other leading role, or just as a cameo like she did with the MV or she has completed filming her minor part before she began working on her new drama. Take a pick whichever scenarios you want, lurkers. Just so you know filming of HP didn't start until late January or possible by early February. Meanwhile, someone has been filming since new year. And she even backed out from a supporting role before, citing schedule conflict as the reason. Take what happened to Jin Se Yeon as another example. You should be able to put two and two together, yes? It's not that hard to connect the dots. She will appear but in what form and for how long can only be determined by ShinLee themselves.

@nrllee these people, they came here and went to BoD to read us of their on accords and have the nerve to feel offended being a trespasser. They seek attention that much, I don't think they can live without it. They feel the need to be the leader or those who control the world's narratives as if other people have no rights to their own minds and only allowed to follow one thought. Scary isn't it when you have these sick people roaming around the world wide web, pretending to be the righteous soldiers or becoming cybertroopers to spread their crazy influence in this present days? And doing that over a fiction?
