  1. About NK reaction to the drama that was posted @TotoroSY...

    Let's say it's expected hahaha.

They would never ever admit they like foreign contents, let alone ones from South Korea. No matter how 'normal' NK is depicted in the pictures.

I even find it funny that they mentioned public outrage when they punish everyone who's watching foreign content with labor camp or execution... So who are actually watching CLOY or Ashfall? Government officials? Politburo members? Military officers? Kim family? Lol

    - Another Miss Oh - Manbok's last scene of recording sound in the field is the same scene of Eric Nam in this drama (he plays a sound engineer). Some also said it's parody of a movie One Fine Spring Day

Please add on if anyone remembers other parodies!!

The actor in Oh Haeyoung is Eric MOON/MUN. He goes by his Korean name "Moon Jung-hyuk" as an actor.

Eric Nam is another person ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ

It's not a parody.. They're just portraying people with the same profession: recording sound and sound engineering for movies/dramas/CFs.

As for parody, there's Alhambra parody. When RJH played games and met EunDong, the BGM was Alhambra BGM...and the "do you want to make an alliance?" was also on Alhambra.

WOW! A real life cross-border romance, this one between a NK judo player (guy) and a Taiwanese judo player (gal).

They actually met once a year for 3 years  (in international judo competitions), and in the 4th year, the guy defected to South Korea, the gal came to look for him and they got married later, settling in SK! Have 3 boys together and 1 of them is the youtuber below, telling the story of his parents! AMAZING! The son decided to tell his parents story after watching CLOY.

Now the ending of SR and JH meeting once a year in Switzerland for 2 weeks looks plausible (and may have reference this story which was pretty famous), and we have hope by the 4th year they finally settle down in one place and get married, and have their twins and more!

    It's plausible, indeed...

But RJH must defect and that's what the production team didn't (or probably, couldn't) show us.

I think I wrote it somewhere (here or in @packmule3blog? Haha) that the kind of ending given by the writer is only plausible for a short term. Seri and Jeong-hyeok wouldn't be able to do so in the long term unless RJH defects...

ps: sorry, mod.. Somehow I can't delete the video in the quote (on mobile) ㅠㅠㅠ

I'm not sure if anyone has talked about this in this thread, this might just be a coincident but I think the writer might have built RJH based on a real life person, Kim Jong Un. I'm not sure if it's ok to talk about him here but Admin/Moderator, please remove this part if it violates the rules.

    Similarities between KJU and RJH:

    - Both born in 1982

    - Both are the 2nd son in the family

    - Both studied abroad in Switzerland

    - Both had to go back to serve in the army due to family duties

    - Both had a brother who was killed (KJU's half brother)

    - KJU's wife's last name is "Ri" :))

Some were speculating KJU was also musically talented but all sources I've read so far only talk about him being a basketball fanatic so that's the only thing that doesn't match at the moment.

I can't believe I just see a comparison between one of the world's worst dictator and the best K-drama's hero till date...

KJU was born around 1983-ish (his age is actually unknown but it's been speculated that he is made older than he actually is... I learnt about his closest-to-real-birth year from a KR friend who was taking Inter-Korean lessons with me) while RJH was born in 1988 (it's been discussed several times in the thread)... KJU was not called back to serve military, but because his father was ill and he needed to start the path toward leadership early (that means: party, military, Kim Il-Sung Uni education, etc...). Also, surname "Ri" is about as common as "Kim" or "Lee" in Korea.

KJU doesn't come an inch closer to RJH's character depiction (perhaps only the fact that they're North Koreans who studied in Switzerland...but then again, it's pretty common for North Korean's elite children to do so)...and no way anyone would think KJU is as noble as RJH's characters are..that guy is a dictator and a human right's violator who would purge his own uncle or power consolidation... TT_TT

Some countries are only now getting CLOY on Netflix. I'm in Canada so i had it while it aired but many countries didnt. This means the popularity of the drama will only increase in the coming months. I also noticed CLOY has been on the top-most popular list on Netflix for a while now, at least in Canada and i think in the US too.

I wonder if they will reconsider for a second season if it becomes too popular because it would be a waste of good profit to not do it. Even if they clear it for season 2, it would only happen next year because they would have to let all the cast and crew clear their schedule a year in advance.

While it's possible from the perspective of production and profit and Netflix format...and perhaps the casts' schedule could be arranged way in advance...

What do you expect the writer team to do in the second half?

They could not even address political issues related to RJH's citizenship and all plot holes about the leads' living condition in more than 90-minutes-long and 16 episodes... They would stuck at the same issue again and again...

Of course, as international viewers we wouldn't have to care about domestic or political things...but the drama is still a South Korean drama and they already had to go through such pain (permit, controversy, etc etc) and splurged so much money only to depict North Korea in the drama...

    • The part where RJH sees the photo he took The NIS head agent teaching him how to send pre-timed messages is probably the most questionable thing written lol given their emphasis on no communications across border

    It's not really questionable.

RJH wouldn't be able to set all those messages from NK, hence, he set it all while he was still detained by NIS. The phone he used was South Korean phone given by Gu Seungjun. He definitely cannot bring the phone back to NK either.

My only question is who's keeping the phone alive for a year until RJH was back to the North, and who took care of the flower delivery from RJH to Seri... Since it was shown the NIS agent taught him about scheduled messages, I just assumed that it was NIS agent who helped him with all of those.

i'm wondering if the cast/crew went back just for the ending scenes? I had a feeling the ending scenes must have been shot already during their first few filming in Swiss? I may be wrong but just a thought! I welcome your insight :):)

They filmed the ending at the beginning... Along with scenes of RJH and Seri's earliest encounters...

That what makes the ending more amazing and magical..

There's no chemistry and acting gap from Hyunbin and Son Yejin. Their acting at the ending scenes completely look like we're seeing RJH and Seri who are deeply in love and exuding all newlywed-vibes hahaa

    Question:

Some people are really unhappy with CLOY because Jeong Hyeok is cheating on Seo Dan.

How will you justify that JH was cheating on SD or not?

From one perspective, it can be considered as cheating. An engagement is an engagement, regardless whether there's love involved or not.

But from another perspective, it can also be considered not cheating, because it was prearranged engagement and RJH never made any love commitment to Seo Dan. He's just doing everything out of obligations as a filial son.. He came clean to his fiancée anyway in episode 7 that he can't continue the engagement. He breaks it off and pursues Seri afterwards...

Am I the only who's been wondering how on earth did JH manage to send SR the lovely flower pot? He was in NK which made it totally impossible to do so.:w00t:

My guess is that compassionate NIS chief who taught JH how to send messages to SR. He's such a romantic guy too!

You can't send the messages if your phone isn't active if I'm not mistaken...

So perhaps that NIS agent helped to keep that phone alive and send the flower delivery to Seri..

Perhaps it's also why he took a photo with the baby we all suspected to be RJH-YSR kid? It makes sense that the child takes a photo with Seri's dad.. But didn't we all wonder why NIS agent also takes photo with the child? Haha

In the episode where  cho choel gang was on trial, I saw that Dan's uncle was nodding at the judge. Does it mean anything? I thought something fishy was going on but it wasnt explained anywhere. Cho also said that captain ri missed out on something.  Anyone have any idea what is it ? Thanks

Anyone recall when was the first time rjh said I love you to se ri?

About Dan's uncle.. We suspected and discussed the possibility of him being evil when the scene happened.. But at the end, I guess the note contained order to the judge to punish CK right away...

In the real life, what happens if a north Korean chooses to defect to the South? He loses contact with everyone back home? I really wonder if it was wise for the 5 of them to choose to go back. I understand the drama needs to be diplomatically correct but in reality, what should you think their choices are?

They would lose contact completely. There are ways to still contact them and sens money through Chinese connections, but it isn't easy... I met some defectors whose reason to defect is to earn money to be sent back home (most of them defected for such reasons).. However I didn't ask them how do they do that haha...

    That's for ordinary person.

If you're a spy or government officer or a soldier, then you defect alone.. High chance for your family and relatives to be executed back home. I happened for real with an ex-spy.. That's why I rolled my eyes to fan-theories about RJH being gov officer and/or spy, so he can meet SR overseas and date... lol... Even the ending they gave us left some question for me... It's almost impossible for RJH to go around meeting SR while he's under official permission to travel. They might be able to do so for a few years... After that? He had to defect, perhaps with his family. But the show have never showed or answered such questions.

The ducklings' choices are correct for them. Remember that they have families back home? They're soldiers as well... Though NIS might protect them in SK, but who'll protect their families back home? "then they should defect as well"...they'd be executed before they can utter the word 'd' from 'detection'. Even the ducklings and RJH were almost executed right? They're supposed to go trial (mock trial, NK style) to take responsibility of them going South without permission. But thanks to RJH's dad, they can be saved.

I plan to go before I graduate... It's not far from SK (though I have to go through China first). I want to take train route from China to Pyeongyang ehe.

I'm so bothered about my separation anxiety and withdrawal symptoms from CLOY. I'm quite calmed down today but yesterday was so bad, I don't have the appetite and energy.

I hope we can get a long! And help each other to move on if we can. :sweatingbullets:

Before I forgot. How old is JH and SR? Because I remember SD said she took the camera 10yrs ago. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I can't find the picture, but Jeonghyeok was born in Juche 77 or 1988 in Gregorian calendar.

You can check it in episode 2/3 when he went to Pyeongyang alone and got asked for his ID card at the station.

For Seri, in episode 2, her first year-old (international age) birthday party was shown. It was in 1989.

It means Seri was also born in 1988.

ps: JUCHE YEAR is the calendar they use in North Korea. Juche 1 means 1912, the year when Kim Il-Sung was born. They don't use normal Gregorian calendar. Initially, they did...but they changed it to Juche calendar around 1990-ish after Kim Il-Sung passed away to honor him. If you want to convert Gregorian to Juche, go here

@hibiscus23 It is in episode 14. When Captain Ri is doing everything for Seri and was helping her sit up. While Seri and Captain Ri in their own little world, the F5 were sitting at the sofa and Sgt Pyo went "Captain Ri, we havent eaten yet" in this monotone voice. I find that scene hilarious.

I understand dong-ji means comrade or maybe in this case captain. However maybe it is just my hearing but it does not sound like they are calling him Ri Jeong Hyeok Dong Ji? or maybe they are ... i can only hear the dong ji quite distinctly or something ri jiang dong ji?

They've been calling Ri Jeong-hyeok "RI Jung-dae-jang-dong-ji" since episode 1... It literally translates  to "Comrade Captain Ri"

"Dong mu" and "Dong Ji" have similar meaning, which are roughly translated to "comrade"

But if I'm not mistaken "Dong Ji" has higher hierarchy than "Dong Mu"

For instance, RJH was addressed as "Dong Ji" by the Company 5 because he's in the higher hierarchy....while Seri was addressed as "Sam Sook Dongmu" in the village, because she and the villagers are just peopleSeo Dan and Gu Seungjun address each other as "Dongmu."

I don't recall how the Company 5 addressed Seri in the beginning (ONLY Chi-soo has been consistent in calling her "eminai" aka "woman" lol)...but Eun-dong (and the rest of them) addressed her as "Dong-ji" when they're in SK.. If they change the way they address her, maybe because they acknowledge her as their captain's wife hence the higher hierarchy hahaha...

To make it clearer, you definitely cannot address Kim Jong-un "DONG MU", for instance.

    EDIT:

Rewatching~ The english sub doesn't translate this kind of thing correctly tbvh..

Up till episode 9, Company 5 addresses her as "Dong-mu".  Then when they meet again in SK, Eundong calls her "Dong Ji" (though when he talks about her in front of the hospital and when he said goodbye in Ep 16, he's back 'dongmu')...then Jumeok also calls her like that (and reverts back 'dongmu' in Ep 14 and 16). IDK if it's a plot hole or they can use the terms interchangeably...

There's a definite plot hole, though. Seri called Jeonghyeok "you (geu-jjok)" or without subject at first then at episode 3 she slipped "Ri Jeong-hyeok-ssi..." (during the discussion about post-breakup scenario haha) She wasn't supposed to know his name in episode 3 yet haha.

The ahjummas also address Young-ae as "Young-ae Dong Ji" since she's Senior Colonel's wife...and in EP 04, Ok and Wol ahjummas also called Jeonghyeok as "dong ji" but when they talked to Seo Dan (and some scenes afterwards), they addressed him as both interchangeably haha.

    =================================================================================

I agree with the dong-mu's analysis here about what's missing...

I truly want the OTPs to have more conversation at the epilogue and ending scene, instead of having everything implied...

But they have time constraint and they have to tie up some plots... Also, some viewers might think that such mundane couple scenes are needed... :(

LET'S WAIT FOR THE DVD OR A SPECIAL EPISODE ONLY ABOUT RIRI haha

    3) HB went to SK after how many years SJY left NK?

    1. Around 7 years? Because after that, his brother died and he had to return to NK.

    2. It was just around one month.

  11. @Hachiko it's never mentioned but I don't think he was in the military for national service..he could go to Switzerland for study at the age when he's supposed to enlist, so perhaps he was exempted. Also, it's mentioned that one of the brothers should be in the military (as in a real soldier) to continue their father's legacy. It was his brother. Then after Moo-hyuk's death, he entered military as normal soldier to replace his place... That's what I guess tho...

I belive there been some plot. And it took some time for them.

1.Daddy Ri helped JH to leave millitary and find new job and ability to travel legally abroad with students.(a legal way to leave NK for long term time. He did not run, escape or betrayed his parents.)

2.When they met in Swiss, Seri started her scholarship for staying close to JH more time.

3.They settled in Swiss, bought a family house.

4.They are pretty rich, so probably they live comfy 60% of year traveling with JH students and concerts.

5.The can stay abroad forever after Daddy Ri's death.

Agree.. That's why it was an open yet happy ending for me...

The scene with JH's mom was so dark. I realized what she was going to do when JH came back. I cried. So freaking hard. Idk, his mom broke my heart - you lose one child and then there's a chance your only boy, whom you cherish and love so much, the chance is - he is not going to come back. It's brutal for the mother. I was kinda annoyed they didn't show her before, I wondered about her reaction to the JH's situation. But this scene definitely won me over. It was raw and emotional.

His dad... I kinda see what they were trying to do with him, but I was kinda intimidated by him, which I suppose is what you're supposed to feel? When he killed the bad guys you could see his ruthless side. The bad guy got murdered in the forest by the good guy without the trial. Hm, makes you think...  I thought we were trying to learn a lesson of importance of trials in North Korea? But as a viewer, I am supposed to cheer for JH's dad and his actions? So the message got lost, because I am supposed to think that the justice was served.

Mom scene with poison ready in her hand was so poignant. For us who live in a "normal" country, this scene might seem realistic. But up North, it's their reality. That also makes her reunion scene with her son and the whole "Thank you for coming back alive" (as with Manbok family) a heartwrenching scene, because it can be considered a miracle...

About RJH dad shot the younger general and the message they're trying to deliver... You know, I laughed sarcastically when RJH said "we'd like to stand on trial"... There's no such thing as a fair trial (or a trial itself) in NK, even for high ranking officers and their families (look for some news about the purges of high ranking officers in NK, including KJU's uncle by KJU himself, though the dog part is richard simmons). What the younger generals said about them being executed right away without trial is the norm... Hence, what RJH father did was realistic. He couldn't just execute the general without valid excuse, so he's bidding his time and calculating everything...when it's clear that the general attempts to execute his son, the justification for his deed materializes. For me, what he did was "normal" and "business as usual" by NK standards.

Omg! If this is true, I hope the deleted scenes are gonna be added in dvd/bluray. Want to watch it badly. :bawling:

I KNEW IT... I suspected they filmed so much more scenes, but could air it due to political reasons... That's why they have the open ending in Switzerland... They can't solve the issue of RJH's citizenship so they make once in a year meet up via Seri's scholarship foundation...to set up a legitimate reason for RJH going/living abroad. Though for me, it's still realistically not possible since NK citizens abroad are still under surveillance, especially if RJH is there under the name of National Orchestra. Even Dan is going to Russia to perform in an official event...

On another side, it'll also be controversial if RJH is clearly defected or they're clearly married (the issue of Citizenship remains).

This drama has tried its best to wrap it up satisfactorily and I really applaud them for that... It's really the best they can come up with without causing any troubles for themselves.

  15. What happened this episode:

    Spoiler

    1. Seungjun's death was sad yet anti-climatic. I mean, he was on an ambulance. No matter how less-developed is NK medical services, why do the staff never do anything to save him????? CAN'T HE EVEN PERFORM CPR??? Later on, Dan breaks the news to Jeong-Hyeok and Jeong-Hyeok asks her what happened and why...and she replies, "I also don't know why..." RIGHT??? I ALSO DON'T KNOW WHY HE NEEDS TO DIEE.....

    2. Flashbacks were overused... WE REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED, OK? It feels too long and it gets in the way between the actual scenes so I couldn't really feel the emotion.

    3. Seri and Jeong-Hyeok's last farewell was heart-wrenching. I always like the depiction of literal border between NK and SK...where they cannot cross it, but cross it several times anyway... The idea that love transcends borders is beautiful... The scene was so well-executed by both actors...and the final farewell with the ducklings as well TT__TT

    4. Jeong-Hyeok unexpectedly sends her messages, setting it to be sent to her every day after they get separated... He even set a belated delivery in the forms of plants and asked her to say 10 nice words HAHAHA. On parallel, his tomato plant finally bears fruit... HE'S SENT MESSAGES FOR 1 YEAR SINCE THEIR SEPARATION TT_TT

    5. Jeong-Hyeok and Seo Dan finally have a real talk ahaha. Seo Dan tells him what displeased her when she came to Switzerland to meet him, but what he did was taking pictures and didn't even care about her the slightest bit... Jeong-Hyeok looks guilty. HA. Dan takes out his camera unexpectedly and tells him to open it cuz she fixes it for him, "You see what's inside...the reason why you didn't even look at me back then. The reason is there." Jeong-Hyeok flips over the photograph. We get flashbacks about their encounter in Switzerland. Seri was in the same train with them on the way to the bridge and inside and elevator. Jeong-Hyeok actually took her photo!!!

    6. Seri's payback to the NK ahjummas is so sweet. She makes a new and limited line of cosmetics called GERIUM (Longing). On the packaging, Seri draws a picture of the ahjummas. Seo Dan's mom got it for them when she went abroad for business... #cries

    7. Power struggle between RJH's dad and the young general was solved quicker than I thought it would...in a very North Korean way.... -_- idk...is it lazy writing?

    8. RJH pursues piano and is leaving the village.. THE NEW CAPTAIN IS PYO CHI-SOO, much to the ahjummas' dismay HAHAHA

    9. I really like how Seri and Mom's relationship improves by miles. She's always by Seri's side now and she's the one who urges her to come see Jeong-hyeok before he was sent back to NK. She also tells her how Jeong-hyeok never left her side since she was operated until she opened her eyes (I'm still quite not satisfied at how medical-related problem is tackled in this drama...... -_-).

    10. Seri is leaving for Switzerland.. and we get 2 time jumps -_- (1 year after separation and 1 year after she left for Switzerland). She visited the places where she saw Jeong-Hyeok before.

    Seri goes paragliding...

OMG OMG Jeong-Hyeok is standing in front of her, teasing her about 'falling from the sky' vs 'descending' and saying 'I miss you' TT_TT

They hug. Seri tells him that she knew that he'd find her no matter what, "but how?"

Jeong-Hyeok jokes that he took the wrong train...

    FINALLY A KISS...

But what's wrong with the angle -_-

ALL ANGLES FOR ALL KISSING SCENE ARE SO BAD TBVH.

The epilogue covers DAN, NK Ahjummas, Manbok, Ducklings (who are missing Seri TT_TT)... And Seri keeps meeting Jeonghyuk in Switzerland once in a year (excuse me writer-nim, this doesn't make sense if RJH remains a North Korean -_-) and #wheresourTWIN (though it's implied that they kinda live together)... One missing thing tho: the couple ring is missing.... I guess they didn't get that sponsorship yet when they filmed the ending haha.

    I would update more~~

And I think I need subtitle LOL.

Thank you for sharing the clip! I wish Netflix starts to add subtitles for background musics.

I remember good old days where the song lyrics were also translated in the subtitles TT_TT

Ever since the SK storyline began, to switch back to SJ and SD feels off-track... Now their scenes come across as parallel tracks save the ones where SJ is connecting some dots for us, as to how JH is being helped by his contacts.

If only writer-nim had somehow brought SJ and SD to SK as well... then perhaps the interplay could have been built better, with SJ being JH's partner in crime.

That's why I really like the ending scenes...when the two couples are brought in a parallel... It doesn't feel jarring...but SJ and SD need to stay in NK...so we'd feel that there's a connection between NK and SK even though the main leads have left NK.

I was trying to wait until the final episode was available before watching ep 15 because I didn’t think I could handle the suspense. But alas, as soon as I opened Netflix, I could resist hitting the play button on CLoY!!

    I’m shook!!

I love the way the writers portrayed the NIS. The previous episode had me worrying about how serious this situation could turn out and I did not expect nor saw it coming, that the NIS would be used as comic relief.

I am so so so glad that CCG is finally dead although I have to say that it took forever for him to die!! Like how come when JH and Seri got shot once, they pretty much passed out right away but when CCG got shot multiple(!) times (and considering he’s actually still recovering from a previous gunshot wound!), he was still able to utter so many sentences!! I found myself screaming at the tv going “die already!!!” :joy: I also found it comical that it took so long for the NIS to break into that room after they shot CCG. Like what were they all doing out there? Waiting for an invitation?? :joy:

LMAO mee tooooo,, like "WHY HE CAN STILL SAY SO MUCH NON-SENSE AFTER HE GOT MULTIPLE GUN SHOT??!!"

NIS agents are my  favorite in this episode hahah.

I wish someone puts the second bro and his wife to jail already. I DON'T GET IT, WRITER-NIM...why no one reports them and drags them to the police?! Why dad only disowned them, not jailed them? Is it because 'family's reputation' all over again? *Sigh

There is still a possibility that RHJ can stay in SK undercover like that funny Dong Gu dude:lol: Where there is will there is a way, even NIS is on their side

If he's like Donggu, he'd be shot to death by NIS once they find out he's an undercover spy...

NIS only seems to be lenient to him (permitted him to see Seri at the end) because it's proven that he is just a man in love and the reason why he infiltrated SK was to protect his woman... But if RJH decides to stay undercover as someone from Division 11, he'd be shot to death...

He did?!  OK time to go re-watch both scenes and look for it.  But I'm certain it was his left hand they zoomed in on at the window scene.  Hopefully he had an opportunity to put it back on, or else it would be a prop flaw.  It can't be, it's such an important prop.

He wore the ring on his left hand.. That hand on the last scene was the right hand...

Hmmm sorry being quite ignorant here so maybe someone can help us answer this as well... but I was thinking are the NIS agents like the police? Or maybe because they deal with international affairs, hence even though they knew the brother called for the incident, they cannot arrest him. And if no one reports the brother to the police on their evil deeds, they are still free to go? Even though Seri exposed them, but didn't think she called the police, or didn't hear the father asking the agents to arrest the brother...just stripping him off his position and not acknowledging as his son anymore.

NIS is like CIA. They aren't police. They can't just arrest criminals.

They deal with defectors and spies. That's why all of them are brought to NK.

    @Ss79

That kind of ending is ideal.. But the issue of RJH citizenship is a big plot hole. Even if it's a fantasy drama, the writer team has to solve this according to the closest possible reality... If RJH remains North Korean, even if he can meet Seri in Switzerland under the pretense of studying or diplomatic mission or whatever, he'd be under surveillance. Seeing Seri = associating with enemy.

  19. So... I'll put what happened in this episode on spoiler tag in this post. I'll just keep editing this post.

Disclaimer: it may contain some misinterpretation and mistranslation and typos and some fangirl's squeals hahha

    Spoiler

The ads are so loonnnggg smh..

SJ runs to the rooftop..he's in a dead end and prepared himself to be caught, "but why in this moment, I remember that woman."

Omg true. CEO Jeon is the one with a riffle.

CGK has got an update from NK, conveying what Director Ri told military general. JH suddenly appeas with a gun. At the same time NIS is getting ready outside. They shouted warnings go both of them. CGK asks JH to give it up already, sure that the fate will be on his side. All gunpoints are on JH. JH cries. CCK PULLS OUT PISTOLS. JH DODGES AT THE RIGHT TIME AND MAKES CGK TAKES THE BULLETS. He's down but he still manages to tell JH that JH won't be able to go back cuz he has sent all evidences and if JH goes back his family won't be safe. He says a lot more but I cannot understand. He finishes his threat with "You'll wish you die here with me" JH cries hearing what he said. CGK dies.

JH keeps crying. He points the gun on his head. But NIS agent comes in right on time and asks him to throw away his gun. JH complies and surrenders.

Manbok and GwangBelm are with Seri in the hospital. She's looking for JH. The men exchange knowing look but don't tell her anything. The rain and thunders get louder ominously.

At the village, they're prepared to shave the head of the blabbering ahjumma. Outside, some men are dragging Woo Pil and his mom. The ahjummas come out and try to save both of them. Other ahjummas come out with some utensils lol. The guys tell them they're from State Security Department. But Young Ae knows that they lied because they give wrong name of their boss in the State Security. The bad guys are chased away. Woopil and his mother are safe for now though they're shivering in fear. ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

The sis and bro in law are together. Sis in law discloses to her hubby who's JH.

Three other ducklings are amazed by coffee machine LOLOL. Chisoo and Jumeok are telling lies to innocent Eundong that there's someone inside the machine. whatchu doing to the poor babyyyy..

Omgggg they run into NIS AGENTS. They're taking Gwangbeom and Manbok.. NOOO. SERI follows them, taking off her IVs ㅠㅠㅠ Three ducklings are hiding in fear... Chisoo is prepared to surrender so Eundong and Jumeok can escape, asking them to send his regards to his family. They're caught ㅠㅠㅠㅠ Seri manages to see them, volunteering to go with them. She cries. NIS says she'll be investigated separately. NIS takes them away while Seri's condition is getting worse. In another place, JH is arrested by NIS.

The ducklings are inside the van.

But still manage to have silly moments hahah. I don't quite understand North Korean, but they basically decide that they won't be afraid.

Five of them are inside NIS building. They are asked to change their clothes and shoes for a profile photo. Then filing up some investigation forms. They get health checkup as well. Pyo Chisoo is afraid of needle lmao. He's being questioned now. The NIS agent seems amused cuz Chisoo pretends that he's ok but the lie detector detects his heart beat LMAO. The agent tells him to eat first, but he says he's not angry. The machine BEEPS loudly Hahahahhaah.

He's currently eating at a cafeteria with Eundong. Eundong is showed a Google Maps of his hometown. He's crying. Innocently telling the agent about the buildings he knows, wondering if he can see his mother *crying. They're wondering if Captain Ri is also there.

    Yes he's there.

The agent knows he's Director Ri's son. JH stays silent the whole time. Up North, Director Ri finds out about the situation. The aide tells him that he's trying to find more info but cautioning that this situation is not under their control.
