Hey guys! nice to know that this community has grown so big. Even though we've been deprived of new episodes more people are starting to support them, including me!

I really hope Yong would buy her a real silver ring. It doesn't have to be expensive, just something to replace the fake ring.

I think it would mean so much Hyun. It will symbolize their relationship. Started out as a fake marriage but ended up to be a true friendship.

Hi everyone! I'm a new fan of this couple!

They were paired at such a perfect timing. If Seohyun did WGM earlier, it probably wouldn't have been with yonghwa.

    Thanks jphantom and topsweety.

I love how you guys wrote the translations. It felt as if I was reading a fanfiction. good job guys!

5 minutes ago there were 200 plus people viewing this thread. I'm glad this couple is so popular. yey! for seohyun! Love her.

Hmm...although I love, love Haruma I can't imagine him being Kazehaya. I don't know. I see Kazehaya as someone who is carefree, loud, outgoing, "100% refreshing" and someone who has a lot of spunk. Haruma suits more of those cool, quiet, mysterious, bad boy type characters but I'll judge after I watch the movie. Mikako seems like she suits Sawako's role; she may not be the prettiest girl but she is cute. Her cuteness doesn't stand out but at the same time she has that distinctive look that sets her apart from other girls (which I think is good for her role). Hope the live action is good.

You guys should see him in Binbo Danshi. His versatility is almost up there with Oguri Shun.

He definitely came a long way since 14 year old mother.

I actually just changed my mind. I'm thinking of applying to DLSU - CSB. It's SDA campus is breath-taking! Plus its closer to the area where my cousin wants to live.

Does anyone know about deadlines? I mean, is there only one a year? For example Ateneo's is January 15 but is that for the next semester or for all 3? 2?

I'm glad you've finally decided on a school!

    I found this on google.

    "PER YEAR"

    1.University of Asia & the Pacific 200,000/year

2.De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde 198,000/year= per sem 48-70k/trisem

    3.De La Salle University-Manila 189,000/year = per sem 49-60k/trisem

Actually if you go to the benilde website, they'll be able to answer your questions.

Also, here's an interesting forum for St. Benilde.

  5. MinHo needs to lose a little fat on his face, maybe do some facercise? His body is great, but he's losing his charm because he looks kinda bloated. Plus the haircut is not doing any good for him.

Anyway, congratulations! I've been waiting fr the KBS year end award, but too bad I've been so busy this holiday season.

    Thank you for the information! My cousin just told me not to go to school in Quezon because it's not a safe place to live compared to makati. It's going to be really hard to find a school in the manila area that has a Graphic/Communication Design major. I'm not certain but it said that UP - Manila does not have that major. Is there any other good schools located in the manila area? D;

Are you also snackbox? And do you mean Quezon as in the province or the city?

Where exactly in Makati is your cousin referring to? Last I heard it's not really an affordable lodging destination for students. LMAO.

I don't think UP Manila offers liberal arts, fine arts courses. They have Physical Therapy, speech pathology, dentistry...etc, but no arts courses. My sister went there..

I know I said "it'snot the school" blah blah, but be careful too, don't just go to any school in the manila area because some Universities are

Well, I'm not trying to promote UST, but aside from Nursing, we're also "sikat" in the arts department and it's in Manila! It's called CFAD, College of Fine Arts and Design. Their building is really nice and sorta new.

I think part of the whole college experience is being able to go to a school with nice facilities and a beautiful campus. I know for sure that aside from UST, La Salle has both except that the campus is really tiny. Ateneo is quite beautiful too but I find it so inconveniently placed like UP.

If you want to go to a school in the Manila area, those are the only school that I recommend, La Salle and UST.

  7.

For all those who read the page before this... I finally got accepted into UP!

UP is not all THAT at all. I was actually quite dissappointed.

I had been dreaming of studying in UP since 6th grade, but fortunately, perhaps it was a blessing in disguise which took me 4 years to figure out, I only passed passed USTET.

Back then I had no school spirit whatsoever, not until 2nd semester, 3rd year. Even though it was the most stressful year(thesis), it was then that I discovered how to be happy.

UST has everything! Cheap food EVERYWHERE, CHEAP photocopy, print, computer shops EVERYWHERE, hospital, and most of all everything is walking distance. Everything is just so convenient in UST, plus they're renovating the whole campus for 2011-400 hundred years, so it's quite beautiful especially at night.

As for the quality and standard of education, I see no difference between the teaching skills of the professors I have in UP now and those I had in UST. At the end of it all, it's really not the school.

What does UP have?...the Arcade? Plus, the photocopy is not cheap at all?! what is up with that?

Don't get me wrong; I'm very happy to have passed UP, it's my dream school after all.

I was just a little disappointed because I expected too much.

    This thread hasn't been updated in a long time! D;

    I'm planning to go to Ateneo - Manila or DLSU - Saint Benilde. I am currently living in the states. I would like to know how hard it is to get in? I heard Ateneo will accept my S.A.T. scores. My scores aren't really that high, but supposedly UP will automatically accept you if you get a 1200, without the writing portion? If that's so, then i guess i don't really need a high S.A.T score? Also, DLSU won't accept S.A.T scores? So does that mean i have to go there to take the test? Ehh, I'll just give up on DLSU... T____T;

I'm trying to major in Graphic or Communication design with a minor in Psychology. Do ya'll know any good schools with that major? Would you have to take pre-requisites like in the U.S.?

How expensive is Ateneo? Because of the exchange rate, i get alot of costs knocked off.. but how bad is it?

Also, age differences. I'm currently 17 and i'm kinda nervous because supposedly in the Philippines i'm supposed to be a 2-3rd year? T______T; I feel so old!

As for you, yes you're correct, we usually enter college at 16, but that is if the high school we went to does not offer 7th grade. I'm sure there will be a couple of you guys in class who are just a year or two older than the rest. It's not really a big deal. Prepare to be surprised though because once or twice, you'll encounter a 14 year old college freshman.

I only know that La Salle offers double major, so you can do that major-minor thing. I'm not sure for Ateneo....I really wonder where people get their readings photocopied cheap without having to go all the way to Katipunan....hmmm.

Not much help, but Good luck and have fun here in the Philippines.

Don't waste your college life, join school activities or whatever.

Don't join those student activist groups. The hot weather here is not good for demonstrations.

    Only join when:

    1. People are trying to kick the president out of her seat(only because it's exciting, plus you'll get to be part of history, unlike those small gatherings that are always gone unnoticed.)

    2. Some famous person died (e.g CORY)- feel the Filipino pride once in a while.

    3. There's a noise barrage( it's fun when cars honk at you!)

Other than the 3 I've mentioned, unless you want to suffer from heat stroke, then just follow what I said.

    That's it!

What I don't understand is how come people from subbing teams have a better command of the Korean language than Tiffany?

This is a very innocent question so don't hate me.

Subbers even explain words in details, like when there's a play on words or there are words that doesn't exist in the English language, they are still able to explain at least the essence of it.

When I watch snsd shows and tiffany would make a mistake, sbbers will be very detailed in explaining as to what that particular mistake was about.

MY point is, these subbers are also from the us or other non-korean speaking countries. Tiffany is the same, plus she's been living in korea for a while now too..so....why the difference in the command of the language?

I'm filipino but I want to experience living in Thailand...maybe study or just work.

Lately I've been watching this thai lakorn, Ubut Ra Kham Kob Fah??? and also a few thai movies like Seasons Change and Hormones. I just fell in love with Thailand and I really hope someday the Philippines can catch up.

  10.

Some of you people really don't get it. Do some of you guys have any clue????

Must we really make a big deal out of what soompi forum wants to call this thread?

People come here to look for pretty clothes they can copy, NOT to educate themsleves on the "true"meaning of FOB.

I really want to know what the big deal is.Is it in any way insulting or degrading. Does it make you any less of a person when someone tells you that "wow your clothes look FOB today"

This is really getting very very annoying, like evry 10-pages or so some annoying person will try to argue about the "true" definition of FOB.

    So what?!

I wanna look at clothes and not a thesis about FOB.

If you try to argue about FOB one more time...then, more fun for us I guess.

  11. [[ What I'm trying to say is...This scenario and the above scenario are similar. When MH asked who's the most handsome among them, he looked at KB first, then looked at the rest. Then, eventually he said that KB is very handsome.

So, in HS's scenario, because she looked at MH first before looking at the others when she was asked who's her ideal type, her reflexive non-verbal/body language response implied that MH is/was her ideal type...don't you think so?]]

I'm actually at work right now and very very bored!

Anyway, i completely get what you mean by this.

I think it's a natural response when someone asks you about a person, you actually tend to look for them.

Like for example, when someone asks me who I ate lunch with, before verbally responding, I would look at the person first, then say it was her.

    It's reflex.

  12. Goo HyeSun has become my ultimate fashion Icon. Recently I went shopping for clothes I can use for work and I bought a lot of black; black pants and black tops.

The way she styles herself, even if it's all black, it doesn't come out very gothic-looking and overwhelming. I've yet to buy those high-heels, but first I need to learn how to walk in them.

  13.

people who are defending her saying it was good... honestly?? it was bad and taeyon is supposedly the best singer in snsd... yes, singers have their bad days, but since this was a pretty big event, shouldn't she have practiced a lot prior to the perf?

I don't see anyone defending her saying it was good....why do people love to exaggerate? intriguing.

People are either agreeing that it was a bad performance or saying it wasn't THAT bad...but nobody said it was good. If there was one or 2 who said it was good, out of 13 pages, does that really count?

  14.

I see I see. My tita graduated from UST also. When/where are you planning to take your MA? Are you currently working? E-views, I shall look that up haha.

Yeah, you really don't see any progress here. You see half built buildings everywhere. Politicians or whoever will propose a project and when they receive all of the funds half way through the project, they shut it down and go off and spend the money elsewhere. You'd think they'd care that 33% of the country is living in poverty and how underdeveloped it is here. But no, as long as they're living a comfortable life it's okay. Don't we all wish we could make a change?

Btw, thanks for the bits and pieces of info about being in economics. Hopefully I can ask you questions about it from time to time? haha.

Hopefully this semester, If I get it. Please pray for me.

About asking questions...umm nope, you're on your on...just kidding, but sure, whatever I can contribute. But ateneo is a great school, I'm sure you won't be needing those "questions"

  15.

As for why I moved here for college, yes, it was partly because I wanted to learn more about my roots. Part was due to financial issues. Also, I've always liked it here; A sense of home I guess? For the most part, I like living here. Before moving here, I visited every year. Even though I visited frequently, it's different from actually living here. I've seen the struggles here whenever I visited, but I never paid that much attention to them because I was always going out to malls and stuff. After living here for a few months, you REALLY get to see what a lot of people here go through and it is pretty heartbreaking. I honestly hope that one day I'll be successful and be able to invest some money in the community and help them out. But yeah, I still have a lot to learn.

Economics too? What school did you go to? Nope, haven't heard of E-Views...yet haha. If you don't mind me asking, did you end up switching courses and did you graduate already?

I graduated from UST, eco. I'm planning on taking up asian studies for my MA since it's what I really wanted. Although I said I'd take up eco again if given chance, it's only because I didn't study hard enough and economics explains just about everything that's happening around the world. I feel like it's something I need to have with me so I wouldn't feel ignorant. I hope I made sense.

Anyway, E-views is a great program; all those mathematical formulas for variance, standard dev that you see(or will be seeing sometime in the future) in Statistics books, e-views will take care of it all for you. It's like an economist's calculator. I'm sure you're going to need it for your thesis, but you still have a long way to go before that, so enjoy the general subjects first...Rizal???haha

I love how you want to "make a change". Honestly, learning economics in a developing country like the philippines can be very frustrating. I'm sure you'll understand what I'm talking about when you start learning about Economic Development, Agriculture etc. Those subjects discuss progress, opportunity and of course development, and yet we see none of that in the Philippines. We are falling way behind and that's what's frustrating about it. Seriously, there will be times when you'd wish you were the president.

  16.

Your title seriously yells out "I don't like TaeYeon", contrary to what you said.

    I mean, "fails miserably"?

Is it really that big of a failure that you just had to describe it as something so ugly and miserable.

Oh, well, we all have different opinions, but sadly, people like to exaggerate and even contradict themselves which I find to be quite amusing.

I'm a fan of many artists my self, and when I say that I "Like" someone, I don't go around screaming "Failure" when they make mistakes. I do that to artists I DO NOT like. I'm being completely honest here. I know when someone uses the word "LIKE" genuinely because I've been there myself and have used the word so many times to defend my opinion.

Soompi taught me a lot of things, and one of them is how to analyze people, what they say and what they actually imply(I don't think these 2 words go together...lol).

  17.

I'm a 1st year at Ateneo de Manila Univeristy (http://www.admu.edu.ph). I'm taking up Economics. I'm full Filipino but I was born and raised in the US. So I moved over here for school. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll try to answer them to the best of my knowledge.

Ateneo is a great school. It's my dad and brother's alma mater, elementary through high school ( until college for my dad, he took up ME, management economics, but he got kicked out...sadly...)

Why did you choose to study here in the Philippines when so many Filipinos want to send their kids abroad? Is it because you're interested/curious about the culture?

How is it living here...so far? IS your impression the same as what you've always thought about the Philippines?

By the way, I took up Economics in college too! I really wish I studied harder because it's such a great course but I only took it half-heartedly and ended up not learning anything. Are you familiar with E-Views? It's a program used for regression. They taught us how to use it for one whole semester, but of course, I never learned how to use it properly and how to analyze the results without having to consult a book.

I regret it so much. I wanna go back to school and start over. If given the chance, I'll take up economics again.

  18.

We have different definition of "guests". A guest for me is someone who's bought a room. Most of the girls however just show up strictly to "be booked".

I don't know what I'm doing here in the korean clubbing thread...perhaps jealousy of a life I'll never have? lol.

Anyway, I was watching ChitChat of Beautiful Ladies on KBS World and Jessica(USA) said that one time while in a club, one of the waiters just dragged her friend out of their group, literally grabbed the arm and dragged her away, because some guys just randomly "booked her", and she was shouting hysterically in english "What are you doing? What? Why?

    Different clubs, different rules?
