^It's funny how everyone has one award, and leejunki's all carrying TWO.
Congrats to him! He must be happy ^^. I'm glad he won.
He ran off and instead of going to school, start his acting career despite of his parent's disapproval... and look at him now. Famous and rich. Glad he did what he wanted to do. (I'm not telling anyone to NOT listen to their parents and quite school or anything though... lol, so don't go there.)
I stole this from the mygirl thread:
brief translations:
Sports Daily Mag has revealed their poll results on the best couple of all juz before the commencement of the Baek Sang Awards.
In the TV section,Dennis Oh and Nam Sang Mi, surprisingly got the Best Couple No.1 despite the not so good ratings of their drama Sweet Spy. Joo Ji Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye got the 2nd place while the My Girl pair Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae were in 3rd place.
ppl.. the next paragraph is on LDH's co partner in MG LJK
As for the Movie Section, the Best Couple No.1 went to Lee Jun Ki and Gam Woo Sung of The King and the Clown.(hahahaha.. this is funny ). The 2nd place also went to LJK and his other partner in The King and the Clown.

translations: me:)
^LOL. Best couple indeed.

Actually, so far that I noticed in all his movies/dramas, he's never been involved with females ^^;
Flying boys - no GF
Stars Echo - none
What should I do - no GF
Hotel Venus - no GF
My Girl - couldn't get the girl either T_T
K&C - definately no GF LOL
fly daddy - none either
not sure about nonstop. I didn't understand it, but it didn't seem so.
Did I miss any? ahah I wonder what will happen when he does make a movie where he gets the girl? Will the fans blacklist her? ehehe
Yeah, it's really kind of sad. The only movie where someone likes him (besides the LSY MV) is The King and the Clown, but that person happens to be a man.
I actually would like JK to date HJM...
I think they would make a cute couple.
Fans shouldn't get jealous and what not. It's not like they are going to end up with him anyways.
But then, I can kind of understand since I'm a girl too... Why are girls so vicious sometimes?! I don't see male fans being crazy like this.

^Did you try downloading ac3filter? That might be the problem to why the sound doesn't work for you.
You can download it here:

^I like that picture. It's cute. hehe.
-
^ I have a feeling that LJK has a little crush on her. haha. Most actresses appear really high maintanence and diva-like, but HJM seems like the really sweet, innocent type. I guess he likes those type of girls... haha. cute. If I was her, I'd totally go for him! She should take her chance.
thanks whisbi for all the info you're giving us...
Fans are so inconsiderate sometimes....

^Is the man in white Andre Kim? Because it seems like people are not really crowded over him... but somewhere else....
Anyways, I'm glad Lee Jun Ki is already getting famous in China despite of the lack of promotions...etc. I hope he becomes a big hit in Asia.
A lot of people say that Lee Jun Ki looks Japanese...but he really look korean to me...
And about MG 2... if lee jun ki is gonna be in it, then what is he going to do? Get rejected 10 + times again? I don't like the idea of MG2. Maybe a special or something to show what happens to everyone... but a 2nd part to it is too much.

Jun Ki Oppa in Shanghai today
credit : junkilee.com
----------------------------------------------------
I just read some message from leejunki.com, Chinese fans talking about Jun Ki Oppa get hurts in the Shanghai airport because a crazy girl fan..
I don't know what happen because my Chinese is so poor, but still worry very much
wish anything will be okay for him....
huh? wow... he didn't even do any promotion in china yet, but already has fan there. Kinda odd, but I guess those chinese fans are updated, or I'm just missing out something...

^Right from the beginning Yoorin was suppose to be w/ Gong Chan. Jeong Woo's character is just "the other guy".
There was a kiss scene between LJK and LDH. Well, a scene where LJK force kiss her, or unexpectedly kiss her... or something like that. But some jfldkfjddflf fans leaked out the script... so the writer changed the story a bit.
Damn. I really wanted to see that scene!
-
I don't think it was the drama that made Junki popular. It was the movie which made him popular. He was just a supporting cast in the drama. Also, the ratings started out kind of low. It wasn't until 3rd week that the ratings started climbing. About same week K&C went on screen. Though I wonder if Junki helped MG ratings go up cuz K&C was popular so more people would want to watch the drama to see him act.
I agree. It's definitely the movie that made him rise to fame... I've heard many people raving about it. I even heard some people saying how they thought he was "ok" in My Girl but was totally taken by his acting after watching "The King and the Clown". *shrugs* I think I have to check it out for myself. ^^
My Girl did attract fans to him though (soompi/overseas fans)... Considering that JunKi is NOT the main guy in My Girl, yet still having of of the viewers rooting for him... there's definitely something about him that attracts people to him. He's a pretty good actor, but I'm sure that everyone would agree that it's his appearance that makes such a stir. He looks really unique, and I like how he's not just a pretty face.
As for the rating for My Girl, I do think that he helped with the rating a bit, but to be honest, My Girl is already a really good drama. For a drama that great, having ratings in the 20 percent is still sooo low though.

Just saw a clip of the panel thing -
and ouch that hurt watching. >_<
I felt like while LJK was their with genuine concerns, Roh found his presence entertaining. (It's like someone laughing at you when you're trying to be serious =_=) The president, I'm sure, had his responses coached in anticipation of certain types of questions, like the one LJK asked. I think it would have been better if someone other that LJK representing was there. Someone more experienced with dealing with politics. This time, I think LJK should've deferred this opportunity to someone else, even though he was voted to go.
Didn't watch Junki's meeting w/ the president, but when I heard that he was going to be the representative for the quota issue, I was kind of afraid that something like this would happen...
Being a representative for something big like this isn't a piece of cake. Junk is quite young, and I was kind of thinking that the "seniors" won't think much of him or take him seriously. I mean, a lot of older people tend to look down on the people younger than them...
I didn't watch the clip so I don't know if LJK did well with his speech/questions/requests/wordings. Was he good? I never saw him as a person who was swift with his words.

It depends...
but I think button nose that is broad are ugly.
Small button noses can look cute on some people..

hey seirin Just wanted to thank you for uploading the secret mv with eng subs - the mv had a lot more meaning after reading what the lyrics were (they perfectly go with the song!).
my favourite lyrics - 'even if you say you'll come to me, I can't stand your confused eyes'
'it was you who made my heart dizzy, you are very bad to me'
'i am behind you. i am crying behind you.'
ack...i love the lyrics of the whole song so thanks for subbing that MV!
I love this song - and I think its heightened due to the acting. The secret looks that LJK gives to the main girl that you don't see in the other mvs - so heart breaking! and his look when she runs and hugs him.
Damn straight! I watched the making of and LJK was soo brave to just cry and scream when the hall was dead quiet with PD, cameramen etc watching. His teary acting (along with the 2 girls even lil Shinbi) was just wow.
I agree, the lyrics for "Secret" really makes the song more meaningful...
The part that I thought was "powerful" was
"I can't stand your confused eyes...
Hurt her, make me happy and just love me
So I won't be hurt behind you anymore"
-taken from subbed mv.
I guess it's sad to me because I have a good friend who was in the same situation (being the third wheel in a relationship). The guy she secretly dated already had a girlfriend, and I remember her once telling me that it's really depressing that she couldn't tell the girl straight up about their 'affair' since the guy was still really confused (he didn't know if he should dump his girlfriend and go for her or not...). That guy is a loser...
But LJK seem to have a valid reason for being 'unsure'. I really hope there's a 4th installment...
-
^I noticed that a lot too.
And the thing is, no matter how great an actor is... if the story sucks overall, then it just sucks. It's almost impossible to "save" it.
He's taking on roles too quickly... which is giving me doubts... But we'll see...
Teen flicks are alright with me, though some ppl seem to think that it's "degrading" to do teen movies.
-
Why is Spring Waltz in here? It's barely on it's 3rd episode... Kinda unfair..
Anyway, I pick My Girl.
-
^YunHo was being nice to Jaejoong because he broke JaeJoong's camera, but JaeJoong took it the wrong way. lol.
I love this episode! The Highlight of it was probably the JaeHo scenes..
And Xiah's acting improved!

guys you think that there will be part 4 of this MV, i hope not, want him to be his gf, i think it righter than him to be with the new girl!!
I dont know what you, but JunKi and his girlfriend never really seemed that close to begin with... There weren't a lot of intimate scenes between them... Other than the fact that she gave him one of her eyes, there isn't really any bond between them based on the 3 videos. I don't want him to stay with his girlfriend, because it would mean that he's staying with her because he's owing her a debt (because she gave him an eye). Junki clearly expressed his feelings for the main girl (hot air balloon, the forehead kiss), but because of this 'debt', he's going to to HAVE to stay with the girlfriend... I hate relationships where people force themself to be with someone because of guilt because one person isn't going to be happy.
This is going to sound cruel, but he should dump the girlfriend (im saying that because he doesn't seem to like her...)
It was her own choice to give him her eye, so it's not HIS fault that she's half-blind.
If he stays with her, he's not going to be happy anyways...
Though it will be said if he leaves her...
Why can't he just give the girl back her eye, and remain blind.
Then he and the main girl can be together. lol.
And maybe the main girl can give him one of HER eyes.
Then everybody will be happy. ^^
-
^^The girl only gave him one of her eyes. The director should have made it clearer....
Just saw the Secret MV.
Okay, I don't get why they bothered making the 2nd part of the "Grace" MV anyways...
Part 2 "Secret" Tells us all the answers already.
From what I see, JunKi is with his "gf" or girl that gave him the eye because he feels obligated... but he really has true feelings for the main girl.
And the little girl... I dunno, but when I saw the 2nd MV, I had the impression that she was JunKi & his gf's kid. haha. I hope I'm wrong.
I just realized that LJK has really really nice lips... and I know girls would DIE to have his face shape. It's so small!

I think My Girl is underrated (rating wise). It's rating in Korea was around 20-26%, which is pretty decent, but I always thought that it deserves a much higher rating than that (30%+). I think that a lot of people in Korea just didn't really give it a try... because compared to some of the other dramas in the same genre that recieved 40%+ ratings, I personally think that My Girl may even be more enjoyable than some of those dramas.
Autumn Tale is overrated. I don't know... but I actually fell asleep watching it (not just once, but several times). With all the rave about it, I forced myself to finish the drama in 3 days(when I start a drama, I always have to finish it. it's a habit). It was actually really painful doing so. The only positive comment I can give about this drama is that the main leads are all good looking. The story dragged out so much....
My Name Is Kim Sam Soon is overrated. Now, a lot of people seem to really love this drama. Some even claim that it's a very deep drama with a lesson in life and what not.... and it's great to know. But I'm just gonna rate this drama according to what I feel about it. It's actually a fairly enjoyable drama, but the fact that people make such a big fuzz about it makes it seem kind of overrated. It's a good drama, but it doesn't make me go "WOW, what a terrific drama!" at the end, like some people seem to experience after they see it.
These are just my opinion. You can agree or disagree with it.

i just finished the eps 1 and 2 and though won't really understand anything until the subs are out, i do get the gist of it. it seems pretty good and i love the fact that they're using new people instead of older, more experienced people.
I like how the casts are new too. As much as I like some of the "experienced" actors, I also like to see new faces and like to give them a chance...
and i second everyone on daniel's acting. it seems really....i dunno the word for it...but very amateurish...like in MNIKSS.. but oh well. i guess he's a popular thing and he's eye candy.Well, isn't Daniel an amateur when it comes to acting anyways? So it's only normal...
As for his character being similar to that of MNIKSS...
I dunno, but both characters overall are similar... They are both suppose to be quite cheerful i suppose. I think that if Daniel was more experienced, he could have given his character a twist of his own, but he's fairly new so I don't think he can fully grasp that ability. I've seen some actors who are able to do that...
But give him a break, he's new... And plus, don't kill my Daniel Henney's fans for being honest, but one of the major reason why he was able to make it here is because he's attractive (but i believe that this goes for pretty much the majority of k-actors/actresses as well )
But anyway, I caught a glimpse of today's episode. Hm... Childhood scenes. I'm ready to see the grown up version!
-edit
oh, and also, i think hyo joo is perfect for her role.
considering the fact that the director picked yuri before her, I'm guessing that he's looking for a girl with a 'pure' and 'innocent' sort of vibe.
i'm glad hyo joo got picked (and i hope i wont be disappointed later on...)

Jeong-Woo from My Girl
"If you're going to cry about another man in front of me, then stop being so pretty to me..."
-
this drama seems very boring compared to my lovely sam-soon and my girl..
though i like the lead girl, not the main guy. he looks mix too
Well, this drama is a total different genre from samsoon and my girl... Totally different...
Judging from the first ep, I think it has potential... but we'll have to see how the story progress.
I hope the writer won't disappoint me.
-
no offense but all of them are uglyyyyyyyyyyyy!
Wow... If they are what you call ugly, I don't know how you would define normal ppl...
LSM figured out that having a 12 member band like Super Junior was way too crowed, so he decided to make an 11 girl group instead.
I see improvement...

^If it's good, then people will watch it.
No worries.
I think the reason why the rating is low is because the main casting as a whole are mostly newbies... with the exception of Daniel Henney..
I think that if this drama keeps up with its storyline and pace, the ratings will definitely go up. ^^
I still have hope for this drama, and I have a feeling that I'll like Hyu Joo in here! (i rarely like female leads...)
-
i read through the pages of this drama thread..
and people really think daniel henney sucks at acting?
dont get me wrong, i'm not bashing on opinions..
but personally, i think he's pretty darn great for a beginning actor.
Didn't watch the first episode yet, so I'm not gonna comment his acting in this drama..
But based on My Name Is Kim Sam Soon, his acting was.... so-so.
One reason why people might think he "sucked" is because in that drama, it's kind of awkward b/c he speaks english while most of the cast members speaks korean, with the exception of Ryu Won, whose english is pretty good, but still has a tiny accent and it isn't easy for a newbie to act this out well... And plus, isn't that his first acting experience? And I also believed that he didn't have much timing learning how to act neither, cuz he was originally a model...
I honestly think Daniel Henny's acting is A LOT better than Dennis Oh, and I am neutral about them... as in, I think they are both equally hott.
I've skimmed through the first episode... and wow, Daniel Henney is really hott, u guys got that right. Didn't really care for him much in MNIKSS because he wasn't really involved with the main character... but I think I might like him here.
As for the main lead... Hm... I need to see more of him... He's definitely has on screen charisma. ^^
Didn't the director say that the storyline will progress according to how the audience reacts?... Or am I reading wrong? J/W...
Oh! And Hyu Joo's character was exactly like how I thought she would be! Cute + Adorable + Fun...
I've seen her in X-men and she was like this, something about her is really fresh, lively, and filled with youth.
the other girl.. inna?
her english is driving me insane.
i prefer han hyo joo's limited, few-words-at-a-time english to the other girl's english that is fluent in terms of knowing the language but with the pronunciation off.
Same! LOL. Hyu Joo's broken english sounds really cute, and it's really CLEAR.
The other girl (sorry, dont know her name yet) is correct grammar wise, but her pronunciation is really really hard to comprehend... and she doesn't sound cute saying it like Hyu Joo. lol.
