Wow, at first I thought that it was just some guy with the same name that kinda looked like Andy, but after seeing this pic, I think it really might be him. I mean, look at the shirt's design and how he wore it... They're exactly alike.. and what's weird is that both of the guys actually do kinda a like...
soompy might be right or wrong. but i think she should have written with a friendlier tone...

^ I think that bubbbletea is trying to point out that different cultures/region/country/individuals define "uncivilized" differently.. while you're trying to point out that eating finger food does not make oneself "uncivilized."
And well, according to bubbbletea, even though in YOUR opinion, eating rice does not make a person "uncivilized", but to another person it might be...
The person who started the topic about Vietnamese eating rice with hand, says that she thinks it's slightly unsanitary to eating Rice with your hand, which makes readers like me think that she's slightly looking down upon that action that vietnamese people "supposedly" do and assume that she think it's uncivilized. (whether or not she meant it to be that way or not, it just SEEMS like it to the reader).

It's kinda obvious that after reading through this thread, that the misconceptions between East Asian and Southeast Asians are there, whether it is derived from our history or the economy...
This can be seen at the perception that southeast asians supposedly eat rice with our hands while east asians don't.
And about how east asians value respect to the elders or those that are older while southeast asians don't as much.... (which is not true from what I know).
I don't know about you guys, but based on these assumptions of south east asians on this thread alone, it does seem like east asians do look down upon southeast asians... from the whole eating with our fingers (being unsanitary), and assuming that we don't have the same values when it comes to respect for older people...
I'm sure those who posted these assumptions didn't mean to sound offensive, but their assumptions does have a negative bias....

I really really like Jessica's voice. She has a really cute voice, whether it is when she's singing, when she's speaking korean, or english. She just has a really cute feminine voice... And I LOVE her english.
At first, I thought her english might be shakey after I heard her sing an english song..

I pretty much agree with you...
Jessica's voice surprised me, because I didn't think that her type of voice is capable of singing so well.. since it doesn't sound like the typical voice that female singers with strong vocals would have... I'm glad that all the hype about her talent before she debuted isn't an exaggeration. She really is a great singer.
As for taeyeon, i always knew that she would be one of the best singers in the group after I saw the fancam of their performance (which had really sucky audio). She has a really strong, powerful voice. And she knows how to use singing techniques well. (same goes with Jessica)
SeoHyun's singing is pretty much up there too. I don't really have any complaint towards her yet and I doubt I will have many later on either. I do think that TaeYeon and Jessica are slightly more experienced singers than her because of the fact that they tend to be able to control their voices better, and I see more variety in voice transitions when they sing.
Tiffany is a capable singer. However, like many have said, she needs to work on her live singing. Also, I saw the "Because I am a girl" singing clip of snsd, and I personally think that the first verse that she sang could have been better, and sang more smoothly... however, she really nailed the high part perfectly on the second verse.
I haven't heard sunny sang much, but based on live performances, there's really nothing to complain about her. She needs more recognition for her singing.
Yuri actually has a strong voice. She just needs to learn how to work it!
Yoona, no offense to any of her fan, is definitely not singer material. She's a cute girl, but her voice is bland and flat. Same goes with SooYoung. I hope these two prove me wrong in the future though!

I gotta say, the person's live singing that I'm most impressed with is Jessica. Her voice is really stable and clear. It's actually really pleasant for my ear, and her sweet voice makes it sound even better. ^^
SeoHyun, TaeYeon, and Sunny are great live singers as well...(from what I see so far...). Im actually surprised that Sunny has only been trained for 1 year. ^^
I personally think the weakest vocalist is Yoonah followed by SooYoung...

This is such a good drama. It's such a shame that there's no eng. soft-sub for this, so some ppl aren't exposed to it! I hope there will be someone willing to softsub it one day...

i personally think this drama beats any other popular taiwanese dramas out there, and I'm sure many will agree. the drama gets better and better.... i'll add my summary to it later.

I'm watching this drama right now, and at the rate it's going.... i think this might turn out to be one of the few taiwanese dramas that I will FULLY watch...
I really like HaNa's character in here... I just really like her.
Jimmy lin's character is adorable and cool as well.
Their acting is great (unlike some taiwanese dramas...)
I never finished dramas such as Devil Beside You, It Started With a Kiss, and Hana Kimi... but I think I'm going to finish watching this drama.
Maybe it's just me, but it seems like this drama is slightly underrated?
Well, maybe it's cuz many people haven't heard of it yet... since it's fairly new.
I totally recommend it though.

Yeah, I agree, Jang Ri In does have a big head...
I personally think small faces TEND to look better (not always) because they look more neat and small? Just like how small, straight, narrow noses are preferred.... etc. And broad features are just looked down upon.

They lacked promotions.
Plus, although their song was awesomw they didn't have strong enough vocals to match it.
That's what I think.

I watched the low quality version of their show, and honestly thought that jessica didn't look all that great.... that kind of surprised me because she looked great in photos.... is this just me? She looked really average on screen, but maybe it's because she wasn't wearing any makeup.
From the show, TaeYeons the cutest looking in the group, and... Yoonah and Sunny looked great.

I watched the famcam, and I can already tell that TaeYeon's voice is pretty strong in comparison with the others... (either that or she was able to show her talent because she has more parts). I like her already.
The sound is really bad, but I really like the beat to the song, it almost sound like those old school songs. The song is catchy.
I think these girls will be pretty successful.
also, i watched the showcase clip of jessica, and i am SOO surprised that her speaking voice sounds way more cutesy... or kiddish? than I expected... I'm actually kind of shocked. lol. and also the fact that taeyeon look so cute, yet her speaking and singing voice sounds mature...

I think people shouldn't judge those girl's appearance just by those pictures because they are extremely photoshopped....
I like the friendly vibe that yoonah gives out, and the angelic look on taeyeon's.

I actually agree with L0VE_LYNNA that some vietnamese don't have the nicest nose ever... I'm surrounded by Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese people everyday... so yeah.
I personally think that a person's nose is probably one of the most important features on their face, so yeah...
A lot of the people in this thread have pretty noses, though I can't say the same for others.
And honestly, the whole "ullzang" idea is already a shallow thing to begin with, so discussions about looks is inevitable.

Episode 243 should be released around Thanksgiving. We will be releasing the episodes in order so the others will come after that.

)I've grown to like all the characters and still watch them in their respective projects. Actually, I still re-watch the episodes once in a while ^^
I honestly didn't watch any ep. BEFORE 195. lol, but i HEARD that nonstop5 got better after Minwoo joined the crew (from nonminwoo and minwoo fans alike), so you might not be missing out on much (unless you're a big fan of some of the original actors/actresses on the show).
Something really need to be done with the 1st page, and I'll make sure of it.

Yep Nonstop5 = New Nonstop season 5. The season ends at episode 257. The episodes that are subbed right now are episode 194-242 except for 217, 235, 236 and then maybe 2 other episodes in between those.
Sadly no not yet. I was supposed to help Babybeck out with the subbing but she hasn't responded to my PMs for like 2weeks? So I have no idea when it will be out.
Last I heard though she told me there was like 6 minutes left to time.I apologize

It's almost impossible for me to sub @ my dorm cuz my laptop is really jacked up.

I kind of want Kaba and Jabba to be against each other in the end. Doesn't matter who loses, I just want to see them both in the end.
Status Quo is fun to watch and are very energetic, but there's something about their dancing as does not impress me as much as the other two...
I personally think that Tony Tran in Kaba Modern is very under rated. I guess it's because he has that quiet, vibe going on so he doesn't stand out as much as Mike (and the famous Yuri). He's good at the isolation moves, and his moves are so flawless that it seem as if he's not even trying. Definitely underrated.
