I like to seperate the person and the family. Her family could be the biggest bunch of pricks I've ever met but if she's nothing like them then my feelings won't be changing a bit. Actually I'd probably be seeing in her in an awed light for turning out so nicely.
Disabled member? Why would that affect him? Does he have some sort of irrational fear of the crippled? Sorry it just seems ridiculous that anyone would think badly of his gf because a member of her family has some disability. It's so far removed from their relationship, unless it causes some sort of hardship on her life and ergo his, then I don't see the problem.
Actually, there's been researches that suggests that if you have a disabled family members in their family line, you are more likely to have kids that are disabled. It can be passed on to your kids. The chances are a bit higher than someone who doesn't have a family history of disabled family members... These things CAN happen.
I think though, when in a relationship, if two people like each other, they probably won't care too much about that factor since it won't likely affect them immediately. the only people who i think might or might not care are the parents.. suppose they do plan to get married.

during part 2, you can see tony doing his hand thingy up CLOSE!!! it's so cool (to me).
also, the big teddy bear guy in status quo swing one of the big skate members around like what they did in one of their performances...

Glad jabba won, but that was the most anti-climatic and boring finale ever.
I have to agree. I thought the 2nd last episode when Kaba Modern got eliminated was waaayyy more fun to watch.
The finale wasn't too great.

I actually felt kind of bad for Status Quo when the audience was chanting "Jabba, Jabba!" before the winner was announced. I saw a guy in the group giving this weird, kind of awkward laugh... I bet that they sense the result already....
Great job for both teams though!
I hope to see a fresh and good 2nd season!
Also, I didn't watch the show earlier on, but now that I caught a glimpse of Live In Color, I gotta say that they ARE good.

Congrats to Jabbawockeez for winning! They deserve it!!! DEFINITELY.
That people viewing this thread is less than last week, when kaba modern got kicked off, probably b/c last week's episode was so controversial (which as sad as it seem, is slightly entertaining... though I <3 kaba to death)
Anyway, Jabbawockeez deserve to win. There's no way MTV can rig this show without it being obvious.
Also, kabba didn't perform their encore, which is understandable... because if they were to show it, then it might make the viewers even more mad to see them eliminated (assuming htat the performance was really good like some have claimed.)
Congrats to Jabba for winning, and congrats to Status Quo for making it this far.
I wonder if second place gets any prize...
I'll comment after I see the WHOLE episode.

Seems like MTV is still benefiting in the end. They get SQ's fan and Jabba's fan watching the finale for the result, and they get Kaba's fans watching for their encore performance... We don't know FOR sure if they are going to show it, but it seem likely. If Kaba Modern performs, then likely, the other groups that gets eliminated will get to perform too (im thinking...) YEAH! Win on win for everyone!
Anyways, I'm satisfied with everything. As long as I get to watch my favorite crew perform, it's all groovy.
What happened happened. And like what Mike Song said, what matters is that they are able to inspire people. (and no crap, they did!)
Honestly, it's kind of painful to see Status Quo get dissed because of something that is out of their control (blame MTV, or blame the people voting).
Have some CLASS, people.
I don't mind constructive criticism, but some comments by the fans are just offensive to the max.

I found a video of a black guy criticizing Status Quo (in lighter terms).
I don't think everyone is bias towards their own race. If a crew is good, then they are good.
If Kaba Modern and Jabbawockeez weren't as good as I think they were, I wouldn't vote for them, asian or not.
But anyway, let's just hope the end will be a happy one with a deserving winner!

I've finally gotten around to watch the most recent episode (on T.V instead of on youtube).
And this is what I've got to say.
Jabbawockeez. Am I the only person who thinks that their 1st performance wasn't all that great? A lot of people here seem to be raving about it, but I think that it was only OK, and kind of lacking compared to their other performances. I didn't like how the members broke away from the stage and went down the crowd to liven up the atmosphere. I mean, sure, the audience were really excited and elastic and all that about it, but as a person watching this at home, I feel like they wasted so much time when they could have gone done some awesome routine (that I know they are capable of). There isn't many new, exciting element going on in this performnace besides the head stand that one of the guy did.
Status Quo... In a sense, I enjoyed their performance, but as their routine progressed, it just gets a little bit too messy for me to FULLY enjoy. They need to perform as a team instead of going all over the place. As a group, every member should compliment each other. However, I think that Status Quo has a problem with that, which is why their performance isn't very impressive (to me). They do individual stunts pretty well, but they seem to forget to present it in a way that is pleasing to our eyes (too messy).
Kaba Modern. I actually really enjoyed their performance a lot. It was probably the best out of the three (IMO).
And I hear that their encore dance is even better than this one, so I really want to see it.
Also, since it's likely that they'll perform it next week, I hope they will have a kick richard simmons performance and show America how wrong they are for kicking kaba off! ^^
It doesn't matter who wins though, because we all know which team deserves which rank (though they're all talented in different ways). And like what Mike said, they just want to inspire others and that was all that matters.
I thought that his little speech was one of best in the show. ^^
I also noticed how the cheering was crazzyy and he Mike had to pause for a moment until the cheering stopped a bit.
One weakness I see from Kaba Modern is their break dancing. It's pretty amateurish compared to the other two groups. But then again, it seem to me that the GIRLS are always attempting it, It's always the girls that are breaking it down on the floor. I wonder why....
One thing I also noticed was when Mario announced that Status Quo was on the top this week, the audience in the background looked confused like hell...

yeah! I saw the expression on some of the audience's face... i could tell that they were shocked too.
i was watching the episode on mtv, and at the bottom are the comment box... and it seemed like 95% of the post was about mtv being rigged.
im seriously wondering where all the status quo fans are! rigged or not, we have a lot of angry people.
That's okay though. What happened happened, and they already gained exposure from this show, so that's all that matters. ^^

I'm really curious as to why Status Quo's fans are so quiet...yet the votes for them was so strong last week. Seriously. I'm just not talking about this forum (since it's predominantly asian), but other ones as well. As well as youtube and every freaken place I go to, I just see the majority of people supporting either Kabba and Jabba. I guess that's the reason why many people are so shocked to see Status Quo beat BOTH jabba and kaba modern, considering how most people assume that these two have more fan base in general...
I mean, whatever happened, happened, but it's freaken frustrating!
Does anyone know if Status Quo have a myspace??
As for rumors that MTV is gonna make status quo the winner....
i mean, isn't that impossible if jabba throws out one hell of a performance next week? there's no way mtv can change that.

I find it kinda interesting how in the past, some people have commented that Status Quo's performances can be compared to a circus performance.
And all of a sudden, this week... TA DA! we see them in clown outfits. lol. I think it's cute/funny.

I personally think that they deserve 2nd place. Status Quo is good, but in my opinion, Kaba Modern is better.
But whatever happened, happened. No need to cry over it. *sigh*
Next week, we'll see how it goes. I'm rooting for Jabbawockeez now that Kaba is eliminated... based on their performances in the past compared to status quo's.
There's no way that MTV is gonna let Status Quo win unless
1.) Status Quo throws out some unbelievable, out-of- the earth dance routine.
or
2.) They want to inform America that their show is rigged.
And as of right now, I don't see high chances of any of the two option.

I agree. It's okay to think that your favorite team deserve to win, but let's not diss Status Quo. They ARE talented, that's why they are in the show.
On the other hand, a bit off topic, but I was on kaba modern's myspace and i was looking through their members... lol, and i found this guy... geo lee(?) on the team, and his dancing is freaken awesome! either that or I'm just not used to seeing bboys lol
check it out. I think he's freaken AWESEOME. HE should be on america's best dance crew!

MTV didn't do a good job at keeping people's mouth shut. Don't they have a contract or something for people who watched it live? But then again, probably a lot of people there were pissed off at the result and couldn't hold it in.
I think that anyone who does not like spoilers should avoid this thread at ALL COST.

Oh crap! I saw some of pictures from this week's episode and I gotta say that... based on the picture, status quo's performance this week might be good.... I see some potentially crazy stunts, but I can't be sure until I see them moving, cuz in pictures, it looks good.... okay, off to study for finals. lol.

I'm going to keep my opinion to myself until I watch the show tomorrow. I want to watch the show first and see what happened... Kinda want to know what really happened first and see if the result is justified. I'm really curious.
I think that a lot of people must be pissed off with the result of Kaba losing to have the spoiler out like that... i dont think spoilers leaked out during the previous episodes ...

So my brother just got back from the taping of the show today. The results sucks!!! it was so unfair... I don't wanna ruin it for you guys. But thursday's night show is gonna be really disappointing.
aw man. why do i have a feeling i know what the disappointment will be.
better be sad now than later i guess. I want to see how every group did though... but i'm kind of scared to watch now...hm....

When it comes down to the finale I'd like to see Jabba win b/c I feel they have a performance feel to them as opposed to Kaba (IMO). I can see kaba doing backup dancing for an artist and Jabba actually giving a story/performance/dance.

Each group has their strong points, and when it comes down to it, it's all about preferences...
As for the whole argument going up there ^, I personally think that Isolation is actually not all that known (for the larger crowd). I know plenty of people who have not heard of it until the show... have never heard of the term isolation before, whereas bboy dancing is a bit more common. No need to create a dispute over it. When it comes down to it, it's just people's opinion, so just let it be.

I dont know if it's just me, but it seems like JC has something against Jabbawockeez.... he LOVES to criticize them or something. lol
It seem like he favors Kaba Modern, since he hardly criticize them...
As for, lil mama, she is definitely a Jabbawockeez fan. I can see it in her eyes, in her tone when she talks to them...
And Shane just thinks everyone is good... I know that this guy has quite a load of dance background, so can't he at least give out criticism when it's necessary? He seem to be awe by everyone... which is strange. He notes the positives in their performances, but he doesn't give any negative feedbacks like JC.
I think that without JC, the judging panel would be really boring with the judges just giving compliments, repeating things like
"ya'll took it to the next level" "ya'll awesome" "ya'll Aced it!" "ya'll the future"
I swear, everytime big mama talk, i was well prepared to hear her say "ya'll"
And I think it was last week, but lil mama was talking to Kaba Modern and was talking about one of their dance move.. and she was all " I dunno what its called but its when you turn your arms and move around..." (not the exact words, but i thought it was kind of funny how she didn't know the term for the style of dancing they did)
I can't deny it, Jabbawockeez performances are almost always pleasing to the eyes. They are very smooth... Something that you would see in a exhibit.. a show.
I am still supporting Kaba too because I prefer their dancing style (I love isolation!). Their dancing is more of street dancing to me... I know that they are capable of doing better. than the previous week These guys need to step it up if they want to stay in the game. So HOPEFULLY being in the bottom 2 and getting some criticism (and hopefully they saw how sloppy they were last week) will be a wake up call for them to do better. Come up with something that will amaze the audience.
As for status quo. Their stunts are quite fun to watch, entertaining! Their dancing isn't bad, but some of the guys made some quite noticable errors while dancing (and this IS a dance competition)... I noticed it in the "thriller" episode so I was surprised when Kaba was at the bottom 2 instead of them. Their stunts stands out more than their actual dancing...
I'm excited for next week!
Oh, and i heard the the finale will be 2 hours long. Can someone confirm this? If so, does this mean that they're bringing the groups that have been eliminated back???
I wont be seeing this week's episode until my final is over *sigh*.

Best Western In ( i think that's what its called). Its right close to the hollywood bowl so you can basically walk there (and dont have to worry about parking and the traffic and stuff.) its just a few blocks down the road. you only have to be 18 to check in with an id. it wasn't that expensive when i got it last year... ur looking for a hotel kinda late, so i dunno about the price that im sure it's cheaper than a lot of hotels. its actually more like a motel, but you're only gonna stay for the night though, right? yeah, i recommend it if you dont mind a plain place.
