If you found out a girl played you..(basically flirting with you excessively, and then all of a sudden goes " i don't want to lead you on or anything, but I'm unsure about my feelings right now" even though she was obviously showing a lot of interest previously) is it game over or will you continue to pursue her in order to verify yourself (pride)? Let's assume that she continues to show interest afterwards.

As a young Vietnamese-American born here in the states, i have to say that vietnamese music these days aren't as good as the pre-war music such as Trinh Cong Son and Duy Khanh, and some traditional songs (such as traditional Hue music). Sure, they may sound dated but they were original and the lyrics had substance. I really wish these songs weren't banned from Vietnam and some younger generations in America would open their minds and actually try to understand the substance of the lyrics. Instead, what we are fed and listen to is crappy "vietnamese pop" which only rips off the image and songs of other countries (Chinese and Korean) and has very few lyrical substance.
Well, if you think about it, most K-pop songs has very few lyrical substance also. It's not just Vietnamese music. I mean, come on, just look at any random K-pop song, and tell me if the lyrics are any more meaningful (Big Bang, Wondergirls, Girls Generation...). There are a few here and there that has meaning to them, but you can say the same for Viet Music. Korean music, however, makes it up by having quality to their music (better technology, catchy beats, etc).
With that said, I don't find a lot Viet celebrities very attractive...

Just one criteria.
Gotta be pretty damn RICH.

Hi, I was wondering if there's a net idol nam Bip Rose???
Some random girl from Viet Nam added me on facebook, and she looked like she might be one.
-
I like how people that randomly just pass by this thread from time to time and pops in their two cents trying to sound all mighty and righteous.
And a lot of people quoting the first the 'regular people' part.
We know it and all of the regulars here have unanimously agreed that only net idols allowed and no more random regular peeps.
We can't change the first post since the starter went poof ages ago and the mods don't care to change it for us.
Newbies in here should stop preaching us on how cruel we are to random people since all of the regular people's are posted by newbies with less than 5 posts.
No offense, but you make it sound like the "regulars" in this thread OWN the thread because as far as I am concerned, this is a public forum. EVERYONE has their own right to add in their inputs.
I personally think it's perfectly okay to tell random posters to stop posting if it is said in a NICE manner but the way some of you guys have informed these posters are very mean? and can be very offensive and humiliating to them. I thought that soompi is supposed to be a friendly, welcoming place?
I'm just suggesting that you guys can maybe be nicer to those posters? I mean being mean isn't going to prevent new posters from posting pics of themselves anyways...
Not everyone goes into this thread and check out every post. And of course, the original post is VERY misleading.
If you guys want to prevent regular people from posting pictures of themselves, why don't you ask the moderator to edit the first post according to what you want... and post in BOLD RED PRINT that regular people can not and should not post their pictures here. I'm pretty sure if you ask (and create a format of what you want posted in the first page) the MOD WILL edit the first post. That's their job. And I've asked something like that before.
P.S. I'm not trying to start any drama, so I'll end it here in a peaceful note.
Other than than that, very pretty people!!
Viet Net Idols definitely have a different look from that of Chinese or Korean idols. I can tell.

A lot of you guys are complaing that being 5'5, he's too short...

I was in a forum and someone posted this direct quote of what Taylor (who plays Jacob) said in an interview:
"It, you know, it surprised me, you know, when they didn’t have, you know, the crazy teeth, but I actually like that, you know, because, you know, it’s not like crazy, you know, like vampire, you know, these teeth that just, you know, they just, you know, I mean yeah, they want blood, but they’re not like you know like these freaky characters."
I hope Jacob won't talk like that..... -___-
LOL.
I find it hilarious though.
I say you know a lot, but he's just hardcore. LOL.

So I was on the net lurking, and I saw so many ANGRY messages responding to the news that Robert Pattinson was selected as the lead. LOL. (This was when he was first announced as Edward). Poor guy. He didn't even get a chance to proven himself worthy and he already got bashed badly. I hope the movie will be a hit, and he'll be able to prove them wrong.
I think robert is perfect for the role, but maybe its because i saw the trailer first.
-
That Taylor guy is growing in me despite of the fact that he's quite young.
He's so quirky, happy and have so much energy! A BIG contrast compared to robert pattinson, i must say... LOL!
btw, thanks to the person who posted the music!

^Oh, okay. Thanks.
I was SO confused as to why everyone was so excited. LOL.
-
I'm slightly confused. Was the trailer that was shown at the theatre just the TEASER trailer (the one that all of us saw?) or is it a DIFFERENT teaser?
-
Okay, so i've been seeing a lot of new pictures of bella on edward's back. where do people find those pictures????
-edit
thanks!!
here's a few pics from LA TIMES.
lol Edward is white like a GHOST! (well, vampire in his case)
-
^ Oh, Okay. Damn, I'm slow. lol
I'm excited though, hope there'll be some sequels!

Guys, I heard they might have a sequal movie to Twilight! MIGHT.
Here's what i got fro twilight's myspace blog:
Twilight’ Filmmakers Hope To Shoot Sequels Simultaneously
It was a gamble that paid off in a big way for the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, but may have helped sink the "Matrix" films. As for the "Back to the Future" flicks, well, that battle continues to rage on. Now, the "Twilight" series is the latest blockbuster franchise making plans to shoot multiple sequels at the same time.
"It's been discussed," producer Greg Mooradian revealed to MTV News. "I can't tell you we're at that place yet, but it's definitely been discussed."
The advantages to such a plan are obvious: Rather than building sets and tearing them down only to be re-built a few years later, they can film multiple scenes; instead of selling vehicles and re-buying them (such as Carlisle Cullen's Mercedes, which can be seen here), they can hold on to them; rather than having thirty-year-old actors pretending to still be in high school, they can stay the same age in each film.
"Our vampires can't age…if they were like 45, people would say 'What's up?'" laughed director Catherine Hardwicke, citing one of the main problems with filming Stephenie Meyer's "New Moon" and "Eclipse" novels. "[Filming them together] could be the case. Then, you just get it done."
The main actors indicated to us that they are signed on for sequels, and Hardwicke said she hopes to return as well. "We've got our fingers crossed," she beamed. "If the fans show up for this one, we'll get to make more."
Mooradian explained that as a producer, his goal is to get the movies done right, but also to get them on film quickly enough to maintain Meyer's vision of perpetually-teenaged vampires. "We're going to go as fast as humanly possible, especially since there are at least four stories to tell," he insisted, factoring in the "Breaking Dawn" sequel due to be published in August. "We'd like to keep a real consistency as to how quickly we are able to do it. Some of the other stories are even bigger productions, so they require more prep time."
Eyeballing such near-annual events as the "Harry Potter" films, Mooradian indicated that if "Twilight" is a hit, the sequels will go into production almost immediately. "The goal is to keep it moving quickly," he explained. "[That will] give the audience a sense of knowing that the next installment is going to come at a really specific increment of time."
Reached for comment, Stephenie Meyer said that she supports the idea of shooting the sequels simultaneously. "I think that would probably be a smart way to do it," she explained. "It makes sense in a world where actors are actually aging, and our characters aren't. That makes a lot of sense to me, but of course, we are still negotiating the contract on that."
If Meyer, Mooradian and crew can come to an agreement, and moviegoers turn out in record numbers, look for Twilighters to be over the (New?) moon with a marathon shoot.
"[We like the idea of] shooting them back to back, and shooting them simultaneously as they did with 'Lord of the Rings'," the producer explained. "From a production standpoint, it's a great thing to do. But it's quite an undertaking."
Here's your "Twilight Tuesday" question of the week, gang: Would you like to see the sequels filmed at the same time, or would you rather have everyone take a few years off to catch their breath in-between movies?
basiaclly they're saying that if Twilight attract a decent/high amount of audience.... they might plan to produce the sequels immediately.

Quick question...
Is Robert a good actor? How is his acting? I actually haven't watched any of his film, but from the preview, he look like a pretty intense actor. I'm not really nit picky on how edward look (and i personally think robert is great for the role anyway)... but i am really anal when it comes to acting. Acting can make or break a movie....
-
^ AHHHH. Thanks guys. Haven't read the book yet, but I'm excited to!
And I can't wait to watch the movie.
I know many people who say that "robert" isn't "hott" enough to be Edward. But I think he'll pull it off well.
He has a very aggressive, vampire-ish look to him... a look that other good looking guys don't really have.
-
I got a question.
Is this a dialogue in the book?
"I promise to love you forever, every single day, of forever"
???
-
Sorry for being ignorant, but is the book THAT popular?
I talked to my 16 year old little cousin and she said that everyone at her school talks about it (well, among her friends at least...).
???
I kind of want to read the book now. lol.
But I'm kind of afraid to because I tried reading The Notebook and A Walk to Remember after watching those movies and i find the books really boring.
He's afraid to commit **UPDATE**

^ Let me translate what he's implying in the text he sent you.
He doesn't want to be in a relationship with you. However, he's is down for a friends with benefit type of relationship.
If you are sticking around because you think he'll change his mind and want to be in a relationship with you later on, then walk away. It won't happen. He doesnt like you enough to want to be in a relationship. If you are looking for a real relationship, then drop him, and find someone more willing.
