  1. Even if Hae Kang forgave Seol Ri, Hae Kang still don't need to say that part to Seol Ri, @lenet! Hae Kang's apology and words of healing, condolence to Seol Ri could do without Hae Kang mentioning Hae Kang's jealousy towards Seol Ri! Otherwise, everything else Hae Kang pointed out to Seol Ri was fine! After all, if Seol Ri didn't text Jin Eun to begin with, Hae Kang wouldn't confronted her, begged her and so forth! Both of them make their own decisions and they must face and over come their own consequences! Hae Kang could kneel and beg Seol Ri again if Hae Kang wants to but if Seol Ri don't want to change, no matter what anyone do and/or say, Seol Ri wouldn't change!

I don't know, @jadecloud! I always try to see, understand why the writer wrote it the way he/she did in any dramas but in this case, I felt that it's unnecessary for Hae Kang to say straight out to Seol Ri that Seol Ri is more beautiful, confident, healthy and so forth! It's just not needed!

Hae Kang had put her pride away enough for Seol Ri in the beginning episodes, @Lmangla! Hae Kang didn't need to do it again in episode 40! I totally agree, the one and only person that Hae Kang should of said that to is Jin Eun!

Oh well, Hae Kang said it already so I should get over it! Lol!

  2. Ouch! I give Hae Kang props! I wouldn't be able to say that you're beautiful, healthy, confident and especially that I'm jealous of you to Seol Ri, the other woman! Even if Hae Kang was wrong on most aspects such as provoking Seol Ri at the cafe and begging her to leave Jin Eun, and/or Hae Kang do really think Seol Ri is more beautiful and so forth than her, still, Hae Kang didn't need to explain that side of herself to Seol Ri for them to "start over" their so call relationship!

I didn't like, enjoy this part at all in episode 40! Hae Kang should just say to Seol Ri that it was not all Seol Ri's fault and it was Jin Eun's decision to choose her over Hae Kang! That would of been fine!

Even though I understand what the writer is trying to come across, I don't agree with the writer on this! Every human being, woman, in this case, is beautiful in their own way but inside each and every one of us, even if one could see that the other is better looking, one will still think that herself is the better one regardless! When it comes to two women involving one man, one and/or the other woman just don't explain, talk to each other like that! I may say it to other people but not to the actual other woman!

For example, I think my husband's ex wife is prettier than me but I wouldn't say it to her face!

I don't know! I may be blowing this out of proportion but to me, that scene, it made Hae Kang has no self esteem and pride!

I haven't been in this thread like forever so I'm not sure if this has been discussed! I haven't back read either! Anyways, I thought I mention my view on it!

    WRITER-NIM

Plot twists like this, which seem to border mystery, and hint unresolved issues... I hope this will really bring about a "convincing" big revelation in the end.
Because if I still remember it right ? many had been waiting for a convincing big reveal by JE why he cheated, why he committed adultery.  Where a lot of us here had posted pages and pages and pages  of possible explanation and reasons for him.
And all we got as  his big reveal was " BECAUSE I GOT TIRED OF MY LOVE." wow profound...duh

I'm sorry to cut your post! Lol! I love the humor!

That reason is not really that bad of a reason why Jin Eun wanted out of his marriage and in order to get out, so it seem to him, he decided to cheat on Hae Kang! To be honest, that's a very understanding reason, to be tired of love, life, work! And to me personally, I feel like that from time to time! Sometimes, I just want to go somewhere, forget about my husband, kids, families, life and just keep going, I don't know where but just go! Well, the problem with Jin Eun is that instead of leaving without a trace and new connection, he actually made the situation, his reason far more worse than it is! Tiredness became hectic!

kekeke.... the first time someone asked me how old I was, I wondered why and then had a great laugh when they assumed I was a good 30 years older than I was.:lol: hahahaha... thought it was perhaps because I don't tend to spazz so much on the guy's good looks. also, initially, I used to write in good english (like how you write at work) and so I might have sounded older maybe.... now I just write the way I speak and think and don't pay as much attention to writing in proper english. so I sound younger maybe?? :w00t:;) who knows?! my english teachers will probably cry though! hahahah...  but, haven't been asked that question in a while though. :lol:B)

Lmao! I still can't stop laughing! I agree! That's why you need to drool over the men more! Ahhhaha! By the way, my Ko Soo is back! I thought I share this with you so you could be happy for me! Lol!

I just love Ji Jin Hee's acting in this drama so much! He's hella good! Too good! I'm so in love!

  5. Hello, @irilight! Thank you for the welcoming! I see that you're more active since I left, I haven't been posting!

The reasons why I'm still watching are Ji Jin Hee and Kim Hyun Joo, their connection, chemistry and for the fact that I could forgive Jin Eun was because he cheated after he told Hae Kang that it's better they both go their own way, he wanted to divorce her, he wanted out of their marriage! Also, the storyline is not bad, it's decent and the rest of the cast is awesome!

I love how the writer is portraying Seok! I would love to see Lee Gyu Han as the male lead soon! I love his sad, depressing face expressions the most! Handsome!

The drama still have several episodes to go so I'm not surprise that the writer is taking the so call revenge route with Seol Ri! She may probably redeem at the end like all, most second female leads, villains! Besides being in the affair with Jin Eun and/or as the other woman at a point in time to Jin Eun, I find her character kind of pointless! I think this drama could do without Seol Ri! In other words, Park Han Byul is kind of being wasted in here!

No matter how bad, desperate the other woman is, Seol Ri in this case, Jin Eun as the married man has all control whether to go ahead with the affair or not! And he let it happened! They're both at fault but I blame it on Jin Eun!

  6. "Love is not running away or giving up. It is standing and fighting for it, even when the times are tough." - Akshay Kumar, a Hindi, Bollywood actor

It was in Facebook and I thought I share it with all of you guys! I couldn't agree more with that quote unless the love is no longer there for one and/or the other person!

I still have to watch the two current episodes! I'm still waiting for English subs!

Yes, @Lmangla! I believe love is an obsession whether it's a heathy relationship or not! I thought I'm obsess with my husband! But oh gosh, my husband's younger brother's wife is even more obsess with him, her husband, the brother-in-law! Whenever we're over at their house and every time we talk about this actor, that male singer or what not, she always compare, mention her husband! Last week or so, we talked about Tae Yang then TOP was brought up and the conversation ended about her husband! I just have to agree with everything she said! Lol!

I'm still confused as to when she changed--looking at the pictures of him and HK with their daughter, it's a very happy couple. He even had a picture of her, I think dressed the same (of the picture with there daughter) on his desk. Even the college HK was competitive and standoffish. Just before having their child, they were in the grass talking about love and being together forever. I completely confused as to when she changed. Because if I have to take a guess as to when she changed for JE, I would say after the death of their child. However, listening to JE, it appears it was long before her death.

According to episodes 1 through 5, from Jin Eun's mouth of stating his hatred, problem with her, she changed after the death of their daughter! And around episode 25 or so, why he wasn't able to cope with her change was because his love for her became "exhausted". That's how I understand it!

But like you said, I agree and I could see that she didn't change much! She's still the same! Jin Eun's problem with her was that he didn't see any emotions, feelings from her after their daughter died!

  8. The affair wasn't the problem! Jin Eun couldn't cope with Hae Kang's change and he wanted to divorce her! He wanted out even before the affair!

What made Jin Eun think that Hae Kang wouldn't go back to her old self once she regain her memories! But that's not even the point here! The point is he wasn't able to stay in the marriage and help her, tell her to get help so they could reconcile! If he truly loves her which he does, it don't matter how bad, how long she's changing, he would of continue to be by her side! The only credit I give Jin Eun is that he stayed for however long he did for Hae Kang's change to go away and it didn't! I understand that he was suffering but so was she!

Since Hae Kang lost her memories, the youth in her has returned! But not everyone remain the same forever! We change due to professions, being married, having children and so forth! If Jin Eun and Hae Kang come back together, Hae Kang may change again down the road and I hope Jin Eun keep his words of not being "exhausting" this time around!

Ah, this thread is amazing! And I agree that this thread is more entertaining than the drama itself!

Well, Ji Jin Hee's acting is addicting in this drama! And that's why I'm still here!

  9. Maybe not "rewriting the story" but having loopholes, @lclarakl!

In order to appreciate the drama whether you like, agree with it or not, @lclarakl, you would have to accept the facts that Jin Eun had divorce in his mind and had the divorce paper in his hands even before he cheated with Seol Ri on Hae Kang!

    Big loopholes with so twists.

Thinking divorce and completing paperwork is not divorce. He also told HK he was thinking about it when he showed her the papers after he told SR he was attracted to her. Even the courts won't let the divorce go through immediately because people change their. However, JE was a married man no matter how we try to justify his actions. If they still had the adultery law in place, he and SR could have been charged with adultery.

Yes, I know what you mean! He should of left her, he should of moved out! Now, he separated himself from her, they're living separately and just waiting for the divorce to go through whether it's going to go through or not then he could cheat on her!

But we have to look at it this way too! Some people cheat on their spouses without having divorce in mind and/or have the divorce papers in their hands! They just cheat out of the blue for no reasons!

And yes, I understand that even if there is a reason to cheat, one shouldn't! But when a person thinks of leaving, divorcing and started cheating, even their spouse may not be able to do anything about it just like Hae Kang!

I have no idea about Korean law so I'm not going to comment on that!

I'm not giving Jin Eun any excuses whatsoever, @lclarakl! I'm just trying to understand the drama from what the writer has given us as the audience! And I thought that if you're able to accept, see that Jin Eun was thinking of divorcing Hae Kang and had the divorce paper before hand, maybe, you would look pass Jin Eun's affair with Seol Ri that's all!

You and I, We as the audience may not be able to look pass Jin Eun's affair with Seol Ri but Hae Kang was able to! Like I said before, Hae Kang loves Jin Eun no matter what and if she just say yes I want you back as well to Jin Eun then they're back together which means he don't have to work hard at all to get back with her! If she wants him to work twice or more as hard for her then he will have to!

  10. @lclarakl, the night before the day of the elevator scene where Jin Eun came home and laid on the grass, Hae Kang joined him and handed him a glass of wine, Jin Eun told Hae Kang that they should split up before they hate each other more! Hae Kang replied that people loves and hates on a daily basis and they should over come their situation but Jin Eun insisted that he couldn't! He was pissed when Hae Kang answered him that she "forgot that kid" while their on the subject of their deceased child! This happened later in the same day after Hae Kang witnessed Jin Eun giving Seol Ri his shoes, Hae Kang's confrontation with Seol Ri and Hae Kang informing Jin Eun of Seol Ri's feelings for him by returning his shoes to him!

Earlier in the morning, it's a Saturday by the way, before that night conversation I mentioned up there, Hae Kang asked Jin Eun to go on a vacation with her and he rejected her! Then he left to work and at work, he took out the divorce paper, started filing it out! This is the first time we saw, knew that he wanted to divorce Hae Kang!

The next day, everything seem normal! Later that day, during the night at work, Jin Eun kissed Seol Ri in the elevator! Even after that, in the morning the next day, everything was okay, Jin Eun didn't mention about splitting up to Hae Kang again! Then later, after having dinner at Jin Eun's parents' house, they're still in his parents' house, Hae Kang was cleaning his wound and she was talking to him about the company being his and so forth, anyways, Hae Kang saw the divorce paper in Jin Eun's back pack while Jin Eun was talking on the phone with his friend at work about a problem! Then Jin Eun left to his work place and later, he stayed the rest of the night at Seol Ri's place!

Since the divorce paper is in his back pack, I'm assuming he's going to give it to her that night after the dinner at his parents' house if his friend didn't call him and he didn't stay the night at Seol Ri's!

Well, after staying the night at Seol Ri's, the next day, around afternoonish or so after having breakfast with Seol Ri, he came home, him and Hae Kang conversed a few times, he told Hae Kang he has erased her from his heart, his heart is some where else and he cheated on her then he gave Hae Kang the divorce paper! Hae Kang tore the divorce paper and said she will end her own relationship and for him to give her four months!

And the cicada scene was the first day that we were introduced to Jin Eun and Hae Kang in the three months ago!

So all in all, Jin Eun wanted to end their marriage, wanted to divorce Hae Kang but he's just taking his time, taking his time to let Hae Kang know what his problem is with her! Then Seol Ri came into the picture and he made some not so good decisions which led him to divorce Hae Kang sooner!

Even after Jin Eun kissed Seol Ri and stayed at her place, Hae Kang still want to be with Jin Eun! In that case, I must say that Hae Kang loves Jin Eun no matter what happens, no matter what he does! So, by the end of the drama, Jin Eun and Hae Kang should end up together since Jin Eun has now realized his mistakes and wants her back as well unless Hae Kang have a change of heart later on!

I'm trying really hard to understand this drama as to how the writer wants it! Lol!

  11. Jin Eun had more than one chance to give Hae Kang the divorce paper! Just by telling her that they should separate is not enough! I care less if the divorce is not finalized! He should of handed her the divorce paper first then cheated after! Too bad, he cheated first then threw the divorce paper at her after!

Does Jin Eun ever think that Hae Kang's personality, attitude, mood may change again after she regains her memory and decides to be with him! Four years ago, the reason why he hated her so much was because she changed over the years and she didn't grieve when and/or after their daughter died! He wasn't able to stand, cope, work it out with her then which led to his cheating, him begging his father and their divorce!

Like I said before, people go through every day mood swings, people change due to their professions, occasions, accidents, incidents, and so forth! If Jin Eun couldn't accept Hae Kang's change four years ago and work out their marriage with her, how could he do it now! Is he willing to do anything, everything for her now since he messed up the first time! I guess!

  12. Ouuu, @Lmangla! I love that post of yours!

I would have to say Hae Kang's need from Jin Eun is himself, his love, attention for her no matter what she became, changed over the years! In episode one, Hae Kang said to Jin Eun that she should be the one ignoring, avoiding, being cold to him and not him doing it to her! Then in episode 11, 12, 13 or something, I forgot the exact episode, Jin Eun followed Hae Kang to the library, he observed her, focused his full attention on her and there was a similar flashback from the early stage of their relationship! With that indication, Jin Eun may of been the one that noticed, is interested, fell in love with her first and from that point on, his focus, aim has always been her besides his work! She needs him which includes his love, affection, appreciation, protection, everything!

What I meant by protection is since Hae Kang's pretty much independent at the beginning of the drama (with his help of course), she still needs Jin Eun's protection as a husband, communication wise!

So, in other words, regardless of what he does, cheats and so forth, she will still love, want, need him!

Even though I said and believe that Hae Kang truly loves Jin Eun, the thing I don't understand is, no matter how mad, hurt a person is, he/she would say bad, harsh things to the other person, knock down some furniture or what not and at the end of the day, he/she don't mean to but as for Hae Kang, she didn't say anything, she really acted on it, acted on Jin Eun himself instead! For example, I still don't understand why she did what she did to Jin Eun's toothbrush and gave him toilet water when she loves, wants, needs him that bad! Hmmm!

@ymiss, I really like your post. You made me think of something that has always bothered me about HK. I don't know what woman who loves her husband isn't devastated when they find out their husband is cheating on them. During this whole process, HK tried to keep up a strong front and not show how hurt she was--even pretended that she didn't know they kissed in the elevator.  Most wives would have been all over JE and SR when the elevator doors opened.  Instead she tried to do the subtle warning off of SR who brazenly told her she want her husband; JE who ignored her warning and plunged head long into the affair.  Yet, HK stills try to hang on to him by saying that she will wait for him--implying that he can have his affair with SR and she will wait until he decides to come back to her.

Is that really love? That's not love in my opinion, it's obsession. It doesn't matter what he does to her, she was willing to hold on to him on her knees begging him and on her knees begging SR. Although she hated the way he was making her feel. Hated the fact that he caused her to be lonely. Without him knowing, she showed her disdain for him by serving him toilet lemonade and put his toothbrush in the toilet after seeing him kissing SR passionately in the elevator; seeing him treat SR lovingly while telling her that she disgusts him and that he can't stand her.  So why is she trying to cling to a man that is making her feel so miserable?

After being up all night in the rain, she got up and went to work as if it was a normal work day. We know she feels like dying due to the affair because she tried to kill herself after hearing how he interacts with SR. What I mean about due to the affair is she kept comparing how JE was treating her vs how he was treating SR---this drama is called "I Have a Lover" which denotes the drama will revolve around this theme.

Why is HK so willing to sell out herself for this man? If he had stayed, would she respect him or resent him for making her become this way?  This is not love to me. She is willing to accept JE disrespecting her in order to hold on to him?  It's not a healthy love. It's destructive.

I can't articulate my thoughts on this subject well, but HK willingness to accept JE having an affair and will wait for him is truly saying something about her. It's not that she loves him so much, as it is obsession IMO.

I see where you're going in this and I agree! But even without cheating in a relationship, marriage, obsession may still occur! No? I believe it could! I believe love is some kind, form of obsession, possession (not controlling but love freely with ease, let the other experience their interests, hobbies, give space, moment to think, heal then come together, communicate, accept and understand each other), you're all mine and vice versa! As how I described what Hae Kang needs from Jin Eun, that's what I need as well from my husband! I love my husband so much, I learn, understand to accept, adapt to him with time, I don't see any other man better than him even when there is! Isn't that some kind of obsession, to be obsessed, need, want, being all about that other person! One only have eyes for that one other! Like how Jin Eun was all about Hae Kang from the beginning, falling in love with her, helping, supporting, care for her and eventually married her!

In my perspective, my love, obsession for my husband will stop once he decides to cheat on me! As for Hae Kang, her love, obsession for Jin Eun would never stop regardless of what he does! We all love differently! Some may have boundaries as to how far their love, obsession for the other may go! Others may not have any boundaries! Or they do but they're willing to forget and forgive and continue that love, obsession!

Like @irilight said, when a person is hurt, "devastated" from the other, he/she may hurt the other in return just as bad but not as worse yet he/she still want to continue the relationship!

I'm not sure if I make any sense but that's how I see it as to how I feel about my husband! I don't think the problem has to be cheating to consider the person being cheated on as being obsessed! The problem in a relationship, marriage may be financial issues, abusive treatment and so forth! My husband's not rich, maybe I should leave him and find another man that makes more and we, I don't always have to worry about money! If I continue to stay, does that make me obsessed with my husband, yes but in a loving, appreciating, accepting, adapting to him way for who he is, what he's capable of and what not!

I think being in a (physical) abusive relationship, marriage is just as bad if not worse as being cheated on! And those who stay in these kind of relationships love their significant others too much, is too obsessed to leave!? Maybe!

  14. Like I said at the beginning of the thread, @berny, I was able to leave, take a break from my husband for five days and four nights due to personal differences between us and not liking his family's life style! If our problem was, my problem with my husband was about him cheating, having an affair and such, oh gosh, I would leave him and never ever look back!

I applaud those women who would, could forgive their significant others after they cheated! I know a friend that continues to stay with her husband who cheats on her over and over again! I asked her why does she still stay with him and she answered it's because of their children! But knowing her for several years, I may say that she truly loves her husband, forgives him regardless of what he does!

Anyways, since this drama's touch on infidelity, first (broken) true love, forgiveness and so forth are pretty real in real life and Ji Jin Hee's portrayal of Jin Eun is just so way good, I guess I could look past Jin Eun's cheating ways and call it more than one chance fate between Jin Eun and Hae Kang!

  15. Hk's attachment to je seems so sudden and uninvited to me.When did it start I dint have any clue..up till now dint it seem like je relentlessly always pursued her..When did he became her fascination

I'm sorry to cut your post, @nearsea! I'm still pretty lost on that as well but I guess it must be Jin Eun's good looks and the way he talks, he stares at people that's why Hae Kang's all of sudden falling in love with him! At a point, Hae Kang hates men that cheats and such but I must say us humans tend to be hypocrites here and there!

To me I didn't think it was sudden. She was already madly in love him before she lost her memories. Remember, she didn't want to divorce with him even though he had an affair and she knew... She even wanted to wait for him after they divorce by going to China. I think all the love she had for him came back after she finally saw him 4 years later, so that's why she is so attached to him. Her love for JE cannot be replaced by another man (BS). She is following what her heart wants. That's what I like about her. Most drama I've watched, the main girl lead is like "I love you but we can't be together" attitude and then intentionally avoids the main lead. She instead is honest with her feelings and pursue it.

Yes! I guess she may of lost her memories but she's still the same person!

  17. I'm pretty neutral with most characters but after watching episode 20, I must say I like Baek Seok! He may be selfish and he may continue to be selfish but I really like him in the scene where Jin Eun called him for a talk while he was eating, singing, drinking with Hae Kang! After knowing that Hae Kang is not Yong Ki and is Hae Kang, Jin Eun's wife, when he was about to leave, Hae Kang called Jin Eun, he would, could of took the phone from Jin Eun's hand to confirm and told Jin Eun to leave Hae Kang alone but he didn't! He slowly walked away in disappointment! So, I care less if he turns dark, bad later on!

  18. No, @lclarakl! You can't leave this thread! Please come back! I love your posts!!!

I'm frustrate with Jin Eun! I wonder, I really wonder if there's a man like him in real life! If my husband was him, has already thought of divorcing his wife, Hae Kang, cheated on her and such, there's no way he would turn back, thought of her, want her back and even look at her unless it's by accident! Oh, Jin Eun, you're one lucky man that Hae Kang would love you regardless of what has happened!

  19. I finished both episodes 15 and 16 yesterday night! I don't really have much to say besides Ji Jin Hee's so attractive, he and Kim Hyun Joo looks good together, I couldn't keep track how many times Jin Eun said the word "wife" to Baek Seok, maybe 4 times or more or so and lastly, yes I get it, Jin Eun, you're in love with Hae Kang (again) and you want her (back)! Yeah, sure, I guess!
