after reading that the boys got nothing from their stuff's sales... that's just TOO bad! SME is so greedyy...
but to boycott their stuff, is not really a good idea too.. because the boys have worked so much...

SME doesn't give them a representative since a year ago or so. Please read through everything here before you judge Cassiopeia's decision. Some of the judgments toward them made it sounded like you didn't read through everything. (some of the people in here, not all)

I don't live there so I'm sure that those people there 800,000 of them living in the same country of the group I like know more about the real situation and they do speak the language, They even try to give you translation to what's going on there, even giving out messages to everyone of the international fans, regarding the issue, so give them some respect.
Buying SM's goods, all the money will go to SM and none will go to any of the boys.
Buying Avex good, the money will be splits, even though some will be go to SM, but not a lot, and some will go to Tohoshinki. And Avex deserves those money more than SM in my opinion. But the idea of buying, boosting sale for Tohoshinki is just a message to the CEO of Avex that Tohoshinki is wanted by many, to have the support of a CEO in Avex as back up is better than none. Avex is big in Asia, bigger than SM. So Avex is more important.
Cassiopeia aren't split, it's just our different thinking made it so. Cassiopeia are still supporting each other through every projects and we should support them with this too. Don't make it seemed like we are splitting because of all our different opinions, we are supportive of each other no matter what. They supported us by spreading the videos with the messages through most sites in Korea, dnbn etc. We should at least do the same and support their idea too. The boycott only work if everyone is supportive of each other instead of thinking "oh this, oh that." It's a risky decision, but risky decision only work if there are full supports for it.
I know fans are worrying about the boycotting, but at least give it a try, we are boycotting silently, not protesting. SM seemed to be wanting money more than anything, and what better way is to not give them any.
DBSK aren't that dumb, they know that their fans love them, they will understand all this, if not, we have all the messages that shows so.

Just wanted to say this.
In the article posted up by Cassiopeia, there said something about DBSK not earning anything from merchandises but only from their Lives, meaning earning from concerts tickets only.
So, SM "postponed" (canceled) the SMTown Live, making most fans angry, because some of them are now having big or small financial issue, and by canceling, DBSK will not get any money from it.
Then they go and release SMTown album. Which I believe to trick fans into buying it, because DBSK is in it, and if fans buy the album for DBSK, that means the earning will go to them (SM) because it clearly stated that earning from all products or goods go to SM and not DBSK or the groups.
So in conclusion, SM want and need people to buy the album, giving them money for the lawsuit. lol
SM is something eh? A mastermind at getting people's money.
And plus, Cassiopeia is boycotting for their rights, if you read their reasons, you will understand why, they have been holding it in for DBSK for so long. They were disrespected and neglect for so long, yet they still hold it in for DBSK, that shows a lot of their maturity and understanding. So please give them credit for their plan.
Buying Avex product is helping DBSK more than buying their Korean stuff. The reason being is because DBSK probably have a separate contract with Avex that gave them their shares of their earning. Even though they have to split it with Avex, SM Japan ( I don't even know why) and SM Korea. They still get some share, and I believe all these years, DBSK get most of their earnings from Avex and not SM.
So, I hope the smtown summer album make it to the top of illegal download chart. lol.

guys do you think after all this is over DBSK will still be together under SM?
I see no point in trying to show them in bad light if SM was still interested in having DBSK under them. Obviously making your best group look bad in the media wouldnt be in their interest.
besides....how can you work for someone when you know what that someone did ?
Obviously they have a contract with SM and are chained to them but I just dont see how could they work together in the future
The future is the future, we will not know of course. But let's just not think ahead, in times like this, we should try to improve one point at a time. And during this time, the fans should be in unison, whether if the future, our favorite group will be separated, we are still their fans.
However, right now, what they need most is their fans to be united and that's what we should do for them because they've given us all their efforts and time, to make us happy.
So, those thing should be what we all least worry about. I know it's hard, but try to get the idea of separation and grudges etc. out of the way during this time and wait for the conclusion/outcome.
Once we get the outcome, we'll then think about those points.
And remember the 13 years contract (excluding military services) with the exclusivity clauses ( sorry had to put that in to remind everyone.)

I thought this quote was interesting, especially on SME's media play.
First of all, there's an error in translation. It's not 4.98 billion KRW, but 49.8 instead (same goes for all other numbers). But one thing clear for me now is that SME steps up their game of media play.Dong Bang Shin Ki has brought in a recorded 4.98 billion KRW. Of these, SM has invested 2.24 KRW. And the rest was split between the group and SM at 4:6
The keyword here is "invested". Remember what DBSK has brought in is rightfully counted as profits. If SME wants to invest, they use company's portion of profit to do that - not by using their EMPLOYEE's profit to do so. If you still argue with me on this issue, I demand to investigate all CEO incomes to see how much of their incomes is used as company's investment. (and note: some investments is tax refunded!). So here, SME clearly twists words to blind people with large amount of money instead.
This leads to second argument, the 4:6 ratio is thus not trustworthy (if we made a rough calculation, it should be 3:7 or even 2:8 or more if we count DBSK CD/DVD sales not only in Korea and Japan but also worldwide.
It was also revealed that for overseas promotions, Dong Bang Shin Ki gets 7 and SM gets 3 proportions.Also for overseas event, CF revenues, they are split at 7:3.
But according to the 3 members of Dong Bang Shin Ki, “The splitting of profits is not transparent. We cannot trust them.”
By now, it's clear that they are not honest. In their first statement, they avoided this issue. Now they mentioned it AND it made people tend to forget other more important issues of UNFAIR CONTRACT. So far, DBSK members made statement of "unfair working conditions". They showed their willingness to continue working in SME. But all SME responses were and are focusing on money, money and money. And this in turns made many fans easily fall out of this mess because of complicated understanding of matter.
All this is screaming SME's strategy in this battle: first, divide fanbase (which already happened), second, mess up and confuse fanbase (not DBSK) to make them lose interest in following this case (it's happening) and next step I predict it'll be: deepening the space between fans by promoting other members more (like HoMin), twist words to further confuse fans (media play) with some scandals of DBSK members in the past or now (originated from "fan" blog, trustworthy Korean newspapers, "reliable close acquaintances of DBSK", etc) WHILE cancel all DBSK group and yoosujae activities with reason "lawsuit prevents us to let DBSK perform" and then finally SME shows fans some records to see.
Remind again: SME is in control of situation by now, no matter what you say. They've got time to "clarify" their financial records, they are in control of media so that people now tend to talk about this lawsuit due to money problem instead of unfair contract, they are in control of DBSK activities whether DBSK wants to perform or not (proof: cancellation of SMTown) and they are in control of business (Avex can lose DBSK because they can get Shinee or Suju but Avex cannot lose business relationship with SME if that relationship brings in more money to them).
I can point out many other ridiculous things in SME's statements, but that doesn't change the fact that SME KNOWS IT'S RIDICULOUS BUT THEY DO NOT CARE (do you believe they hire strongest lawfirm just to state something ridiculous?).
So if any of you feel pity for SME or think SME in deep richard simmons, I recommend to think twice.
I feel pain for DBSK instead. Because number of people who think DBSK is ungrateful or tired and thus ignore this case is increasing. And after this mess, they DBSK will be in more pain to face grudges from SME (you did see their power in the past) whether DBSK win or lose.
No matter what SM release in the future, let's just talk about the slavery contract and the exclusivity clauses since that's what the boys want to get rid of in the first place. And well...Let's just ignore SM all together and wait for the court. Keep support and don't separate.
Anyway, wouldn't it be great if fans can do media play too?
And come what may on those dirty tricks. I don't think I care much, my support will still go to the the boys and since I already dislike SME, nothing will they say or do in the future will make me like them, the 13 years contract is the line for me.

That doesn't sound too bad. I thought it was a 90% SM and 10% for the boys. If it's really 40% boys and 60% for SM, then it's not as bad as we all thought. They each got 1.8 million US dollars. They should however ask for a pay raise of 2.5 million each now. Also, they should get SM to give them the cars in their name instead of SM's. They worked nonstop so they should deserve a raise.

Actually this is more clear as to why HoMin isn't in the dispute. And why I think the five of them think this through very carefully. I remembered someone said that DBSK always wanted to please their fans. And they clearly knew that this injunction is going to be pass through. If so, then DBSK legally will not have any activities in South Korea. So that's more waiting for their Korean Fans. So by having Ho Min not participating, at least the fans can see something DBSK's related in South Korea with their dramas while the other three will be in Japan? I know Yoochun and Jaejoong have some promoting for Hello Kitty as for Junsu, I think I'm more clear that he's going to do some solo stuff in Japan, because THSK isn't effected by all this. That Avex's Announcement is very clear that THSK will be together in Japan.
So to please both fans. This is how they carry their plan. I feel sad for HoMin silently taking all the blame and questioning of others. This is clear that they're in it together.
Gah, 5 smarties.
Also for their contract things, if the court rule that it's invalid and that SME has to change, then everyone's contracts will be change according to law. It's not just Jaechunsu. So this is helping everyone. If this is helping them to have a better and enjoyable work life in the future? Then I don't care about the postponement.

Bastard2002 HOT chose to disband because their contract ended and SME only want the other two members, thus they sign only the other two. And I heard somewhere that HOT has internal conflicts. Furthermore, their contracts lawsuit was filed after they disband. DBSK's case is different, each member still has about 7 years to go. And there are no internal conflicts between the members as they repeatedly said so through their representative.

My Sweet September The renewing was just talks back then, someone told me that it came from a Japanese show? But why is their contract renewal announced through a Japanese Show?
So, don't know about the renewal. And Contract maybe sign, but words play can be difficult to decipher.

Oh, I have one unique dream to tell. Just last week, I had a dream of Jaejoong, having a scandal. Only the scandal wasn't about the lawsuit or anything. It's more personal than that.
Anyway, I dreamt that there was a news report of his girlfriend is expecting, meaning pregnant and I can still remembered the line from the reporter in my dream.
"Kim Jaejoong's girlfriend is pregnant."
Pwuahahahaha. Isn't that odd, I remember I was like "WHAT!?" In my dream, I wasn't mad or jealous or anything, I find it surprising. Unexpected. Surprised that they even know Jaejoong's girlfriend. It was funny, but it was freaky that I dreamt about a scandal two to three days prior to the real controversial stuff
But, I don't remember how it ended because I woke up at crucial moment, at a time where I was half asleep and half awake, during the time where I know I can control my dream. Now I want to dream it again and see how it ended.
I will forever remember that line, it shocked me. But it was funny when I realized that it was a dream seconds later, yeah, that line woke me up.

I'm sorry that I said to ignore you, but you know, I have been reading your comments and other's replies, they are mostly the same. You don't seemed to want to buy into it, and neither are they, so why bother with it?
But you can't deny that Shinhwa is still known. Because they are still known. And if I remembered correctly, they were still popular when they break away from SME, it is just now that each member focus more on their solo project than as a group.
Others do work as hard, but they have a choice in whether they want break or not. DBSK doesn't seemed to be having that choice. I hope that is clear to you. Epik High work just as hard, but they have the choice of breaking away from their company and created their own label and creating their own music. DBSK however doesn't seemed to have that choice. And if they are to be writing and publishing their own music, it then became SME's possession. Since it's the exclusivity clauses in their contract state so. This is their hard work, but it will belong to someone else and after they break away from SME, it still belong to SME, while they wrote it. This is an example of it.
And if you're going to say that SME has the right to own the song since they published it with their own money, shouldn't they pay DBSK for their credit in writing the song. Take PhraseDifferently for example. They wrote song for people to buy. SME payed them for a right to a song. So now the song belong to SME. However, in DBSK's case, they don't get pay for it.
And if you going to say that dbsk don't need to be pay for it because they promote the song and will earn money from it. They earn money, but they still have to work probably 5x harder and yet, the money doesn't come as rightfully to what they deserves.
And about the doctors thing.... O_O ok.... I know dbsk arent doctors but dont you think Doctors contribute and accomplish so much more than DBSK and yet dont get paid as much? How much has DBSK contributed to our society? Did they change it or anything? Have they made new laws and policies? Hmmm....Hahahaha, this is like the case of argument about Teachers and Athletes earnings. What's the point exactly? Society has been f'd up since long ago. Why bother dragging that topic into this? For those people who taking sides or creating sides, and blaming them for being selfish and asking the question why they didn't do it before.
Take it in consideration that before, DBSK wasn't that popular, they will definitely lose if they speak out during those times. Right now is their peek, with Avex and endorsement deals. It's bound to happen, you can say that back in 2008, they were testing their popularity with Mirotic and in early 2009, they were testing their popularity again but in another country to make sure they have the status to deal with this.
The members has spoken, that they don't want to disband and that they are in it together, don't questioned them why the other two doesn't want in. How do you know they don't want in? They have reasons and decisions as grown men, and as loyal fans, you have to respect their decisions and support them. They stood on Tokyo Dome together, went through hardships together, so it's anyone who has a say in their closeness as a group, it would be them, not you people here who think that you know everything and are basing it on assumptions only. (To those who are blaming either Jaechunsu or Minho)
Sorry to say this, but I see that some/few international fans are a bit immature right now. Compare to Cassiopeia oversea, in South Korea, whom almost everyone "claim" that they are crazy are actually very chill with this. How ironic.

I think all members should stop replying to lil_miss_kawaii Because she doesn't seemed to change her opinions no matter what you say. Even putting up facts in front of her, she won't change her opinion, her post is always the same stuff anyway, and I think we should respect that. Leave that alone.
And fyi to lil_miss_kawaii, Shinhwa is still popular, it's just they're doing their solo stuff right now. They have been a group for 10 years, did you not see their 10 years anniversary this year or last year? I wondered if you know who Junjin is now....
And girl, I think you should just leave the thread, we don't need more drama, your post are mostly the same thing over and over again, everyone has replied to you in disagreement and agreement, but mostly the former, you would get the hint by now that they won't change their opinion, and so are you, don't force it in everyone head, because you are irritating them right now I bet. And I think that you too are irritated with everyone blaming your precious SME. Are there any official news on it that they resign their contract?
Because it does not sound like they resign their contract, heck it doesn't even sounded like their contract ended yet. Which is why they are asking for an injunction for a revision.
Debut in 2004/ 2005 - 2009 so far it's five years, but before, we don't know how long their contract was right? Yet, everyone in 2008 said that they resign, but I don't see an article on it, a legit one.
Also, do SME sign contract with Trainee? I thought someone said that it is after the training, during the time where they were about to debut, is when the contract was made since everyone is saying that they sign the contract after training end.
Now the report is 13 years contract.
See the confusion? And all I want is to see the official article from last year that said that they resign their contract.
If you don't get what I'm trying to ask, ask these questions yourself, keep in mind the resigning of the contract from last year and the news report talking about a 13 years contract
1. Shouldn't SME give out these contract when the artist were nobody? Because only those with no title who wanted to be famous will agreed to this.
2. How do you know how long DBSK's contracts were before? If the news of the 13 years contract shocked you so much.
3. Were there any official news on them resigning their contract? If so, articles? I like to see myself. Also, if they resign their contract from last year, that was the end of their last contract. - 2008
4. How long were each member of DBSK trained for? Each member training period were different, Junsu was the longest I heard?
5. Do SME make them sign this as a trainee or after the trainee days? To add up the years to see how many years their contract was and is. If you add up the years, during the time they debut, 2004 till 2008 = 4 years. If they are to be sign as a trainee, remember that each member was taking in SME a different time. The longest was Junsu I think? 6 years? but if you add 6 + 4 = 10 years. And I'm sure the other members' "first" contract which ended in 2008 (I recall everyone said they resign) all add up to being short compare to this 13 years contract that we all are in for a shock. And no doubt, if you just only count that they are sign after trainee days, it'll be shorter.
6. Who the hell would sign a 13 years contract after a short contract?
7. Had it occur to you that they never resign their contract? And that it's still the same one?
Yes this in all is confusing if you think about it clearly.
So stop saying like you know everything. (To those that assumed they know every thing)
Why are you questioning DBSK's bond? When they go through a lot together as five young men with different thinking, but the same goal, that is to reach everyone with their voices and music. They were somebody in their homeland, yet they threw all that away and start all over in a foreign land. Going through all the suffering and hardships with just them, if anyone, it would be the five of them that know each other best. Regardless of the idea of people sometime drifting away from each other, but if you went through hardships with them, you will not drift away from them that easily. Think back on their goal and their hardships in Japan. Because that really shows them as a team and their friendships. Think about Tokyo Dome mostly. That huge stage that they always dream of. Standing together up there, wouldn't you think they knew that they only made it with all five, one team and not individually or with two teams?
If they can make it that far, why should this be effecting them? So wouldn't it be obvious that they are all in it together, but just with different approach since they are five men with different thinking after all.
If they told you to trust what they said, then do so at times like this, because they did work their asses off to make you happy.
Even if they are selfish and greedy, wanting money like some people assumed. But they did work for it, it's not like they just half arsed everything and now asking for money, they work for them. So it's right for them to be greedy. Since they use their strength to earn it. It's common sense.

Hahahaha, some of the hair are more Japanese than Korean's hairstyle.
But then again, it's the Asian's trend.
And try to look for solo artist, not group, you'll be surprised at what you'll hear with solo artist. I know I did just a few weeks ago that I went back to Vpop. Never believe it, but kpop right now isn't all that. I hope Viet pop never go toward the direction of auto tune and dance techno. Too much of it isn't good. Best keep it at mid tempo r&b-ish/pop and ballad.
Don't listen to hip hop and rap from vietnam. -___-
