Takuya Kimura refuses to appear in TBS programs after losing role in major production

TBS' Korean-Japanese production, Rondo, starring Yutaka Takenouchi and Choi Ji-Woo which is scheduled to air next year is attracting a lot of attention.

Takyua Kimura who lost the role to Takenouchi has refused to appear in any TBS programs.

According to past records, TBS' Sunday 9:00 PM schedule, Takuya Kimura's Beautiful Life (2000) and Good Luck (2003) have garnered good reviews and ratings over 30%. So by all accounts, Kimura should have led TBS' major production, Rondo. But in July, it was announced that Yutaka Takenouchi will co-star with Choi Ji-Woo instead, sparking the irate of Takuya Kimura.

And Takuya Kimura has been expressing his displeasure over losing the role, and has said that he will not appear in any TBS programs in the future.

Basically, it just talks about Takuya's career reaching stagnation over the past year. His last drama "Engine" managed only 22.4% (low if compared to his other dramas). He was even nominated in the "Golden Strawberry" Award for Worst Acting (I think this is Japan's equivalent of "Golden Raspberry" in the US)

Takuya will next take on a new role of a blind samurai who avenges for his wife, the production to be directed by an acclaimed film-maker, Yoji Yamada. Two of Mr Yamada's works had been nominated for the "Best Foreign language Film" at the Academy Awards.

All I can say is "Wow, Princess Ji-woo has worked her charms even on Takuya Kimura." Sometimes, it is a matter of timing, but I'm sure when the opportunity comes, we will get to see a collaboration between Takuya Kimura and Choi Ji-Woo. After all, it was Takuya who invited our princess to SMAPxSMAP twice.

Hope it's not too late to share my idea about the above news which I just known that Takuya hoped to join Rondo project. (TOO BAD!! ) Coz I think if Takuya and Jiwoo together , the drama would reach NO.1 rating for sure coz they are No.1 of Japanese fan...

I just seen SMAPxSMAP both episode. I start crazy in jiwoo after finishing the part that Jiwoo played psycho card with Takuya...WHAT A LOVELY COUPLE>>>>SO CUTEEEEEE

Yes, I think they have chemistry together....Hope one day they can join together again....

BTW, it doesn't mean I don't like Takeushi, He was so good too for Rondo and also have chemistry with Jiwoo....

Hi Everybody.....Sawaddee ka....am also from Thailand. I follow my friend Wrblee to this board. It took me 3-4 days to see all pages before. So glad to have another great board for Jiwoo's fans in English language. I'm also very new fan of Jiwoo but now....hee hee go crazy about her already.....after Winter Love Song I begin to like this lady....now after watched 6-7 of her works....She becomes my no.1 fav from Korea. What a pretty , cute , classy , elegant , glamour and great actress.....I'll defenetely come to this board often....Nice to meet you all.....

I am so happy to visit here...I didn't know before that there is a board talk and share all about Jiwoo coz i'm very new to Jiwoo and Korean drama. I had seen some Korean dramas before, they were good. But Jiwoo is only one that I felt in love after watching her drama STH Then, I tried to find Jiwoo other dramas or film to get to know her better. The more I watch Jiwoo's film, The more I love her

Yes, her looking isn't so beautiful or stunning when u see the first time, but the long u watch her face, the more u can see her cute and lovely. I think she has charmed while she smile!!! SO CUTE!!!
