No it is not illegal as she is buying the stock directly from the stock market, it is just that she is buying the stocks under a "proxy" to avoid detection that she is trying to boast her majority of her shares. Just as much that MTS is doing the same. At the end of the episode he just want to know who had been "challenging" in buying up the shares as the had found the identity of the buyer but they know that he is not buying the share with his own money, but under someone else finances.....MTS ponder who it may be in the background trying to buy up Cheon Nyeon Pharm shares

Yes...it is the norms not on meals but any time, Korean drink more coffee than they eat kimchi now.....instant coffee sachet (coffee,sugar & creamer, all in one) & teabags available as "service" (on the house, free of charge) in restaurants & even in banks. I have never been directed to a vending machine for my coffee.
You can get similar vending machine in Korea, where coffee in can or bottle is serve hot & cold
40% of coffee consumption in Korea are instant coffee but lately Koreans had started to patronise freshly brew coffee shop & cafe & drip brew coffee is becoming popular.
When I go to Korea, I bring my own drip on coffee for my quick caffeine fix at my hotel room.....if Starbucks is available then I will have my usual Grande 4 shots Americano, while the Korean will tend to order Iced Americano (even it is winter) & pump profusely on the syrup dispenser

"What is makjang"
There is 2 meaning to the word makjang (막장)
One is a combination of soybean paste (doenjang done in a short term process) & red pepper paste (gochujang) that is eaten with traditional Korean meat wrap (ssam) or ingredient to be added in stew or soup

Take a scene from a classic makjang drama "Temptation of a Wife"
Extramarital affairs doesn't automatically qualify to deem the drama a makajng but when the story line is line up as...husband had an affair with his wife's friend, tries to force his own wife to have an abortion despite her refusal to do so & then eventually watches his own wife to drown in a boating accident that he had orchestrated...that is a "makjang"
