He has already done a collab with Chinese actors- he acted in the movie Late Autumn with the Chinese superstar actress Tang Wei. The Korean-China collab movie was also directed by Tang Wei’s husband. I love this movie too - I love these artsy types. And haha..his kissing in there is his best so far . Agree with you that he is a lot more confident speaking English now.

I watched the movie Late Autumn already and I like it as well but I meant I hope to see him collab more with other Chinese actors in the future.

  2. @willenette yeah I read his I interview and I love the way he talks fondly of working with SYJ. Even during their press con and promotions of the Negotiation he has nothing but kind words about her. Both mentioned that they were only filming separately while filming so I’m glad they got to work together again. Hyun Bin seems really excited as they’re finally filming in the same space, making eye contact, breathing the same air.. I ship them too

Also, I’m starting to like him sporting the rough/manly look too. It’s so sexy and his tan.. I love it. And I also love that he’s exploring different kinds of roles and taking challenges. He’s come a long way and I do agree that popularity does not matter. As long as he’s doing what he loves, then that’s all that matters. I hope to see him act outside of Korea in the future. Hopefully he’ll get to collab with famous Chinese/Japanese actors or even Hollywood actors. His English has improved so much. While watching MOA, I noticed that he’s more comfortable in speaking English compared to the past. I remembered watching Secret Garden and when he spoke in English, you can tell he was having difficulties pronouncing some words but in MOA his pronounciation was more cleared.

@randomlee I love him in Friend, Our Legend too. He was so buff and sexy as Dong Soo. I really enjoyed watching that drama. Though it wasn’t as successful but I gotta say that his role in there was also my favorite along with Jin Heon/Sam Shik, and Kim Joo Won.

  3. @willenette I thought differently of the drama as well. In the beginning he kept saying that it’s a magical world but as the storyline progress, I’m thinking to myself “it’s not a magical world. It’s a game full of nightmares.” I was disappointed in PSH’s character as well. She was pretty much pointless/useless in the drama. I was hoping that she’ll play the game and have a little bit of action scene.. or something.. I was hoping that she’ll help Jin Woo fight the bad guys. I also agreed that the ending was disappointing too. It left me hanging.. I wanted more. Well, hopefully his new drama will be better this time.

  4. @willenette @randomlee yeah the title is still throwing me off but hopefully the drama will carry on with a strong plot. The main cast is amazing so hopefully the drama won’t be a disappointment. I haven’t finish Legend Of The Blue Sea. I only watched episode 1 and then I dropped it. Maybe I’ll try to finish it. Anyways, I can’t wait to see Hyun Bin’s transformation into his character.

LOLLL, I'm starting to feel sorry for Kiyong being the maknae having to do everything sunbae asked him to do. This time is imitating how Kim Sang Joon host his tv show.

I’m pretty sure they’re using JKY to help promote the movie. I mean not in a bad way of using him.. but I mean.. just look at him he’s so handsome so I’m sure it’ll help with ratings and the box office. Hopefully, he’ll get to star in his own movie as the lead soon. I would love to see what kind of role he’ll pick for his first lead role in a film.

Jang Ki Yong finally showcasing his rapping skills again. I remember when I first discovered him, I went to go look him up and was amazed at his rapping skills. He’s truly talented and still have that swag. He never changed. Love that about him.

Which takes me back to one of my favorite clip of him when he was rapping to T.O.P.’s DOOM DADA song.. who happens to be my favorite from Big Bang.

Thank you so much for this info! I have not watched both “ I Am Happy” and “A Millionaire’s First Love” and would definitely want to..only problem is, I don’t know where to find them . I know I have exhausted everything that I can get my hands on; so I am pretty sure I don’t know how to have access to these two movies.

You can watch A Millionaire’s First Love here, https://www13.watchasian.co/drama-detail/a-millionaires-first-love

  8. @cybertron @randomlee yes, their path keeps crossing. I remember watching Secret Garden and was surprised that SYJ made a cameo. I wonder if Hyun Bin even remembers? It’s fate that they are finally now staring together after Negotiation.

Also, @randomlee I love your post about being a huge Hyun Bin fan. He’s also my number 1. Watching him in MOA he still makes me fall in love with him all over again. My siblings always teased me about liking him or they don’t understand my obsession with him. Lol

It's crazy because in CAHM, he looks svelte and I got distracted several times because I was like hot damn He looks so model like in this frame and such LOL. His cheekbones and frame were well pronounced, and then shortly after he did Kill It and he looked a bit bigger given the action. But still lanky, and then boom Search:WWW a bit fuller but adorable.

Was just having this conversation with @mademoisellesia that I liked him during Kill It and Search: WWW. I like him with a little bit of meat... on the fuller side. His rounder face and cheeks are very pinchable and cute. And I agreed as well that he has come a long way and has been improving by taking on various of roles. He may have a pretty face but when he does action, he delivers his role/character so well. I was reading on instagram that he did his own stunt in Bad Guys. Action really suits him and I hope to see him in more action movies or playing a secret agent, soldier, warrior, or even a prince.

@forwww You’ll have to watch Go Back Couple. JKY was so handsome in that drama.

  10. @mademoisellesia yes, I can’t forget about Go Back Couple. I was rooting for Nam Gil and Jin Joo even though we know he’ll get his heart broken in the end. I like that drama and Nam Gil definitely stole the spotlight from Ban Do.

I miss Ta Mi and Mo Gun as well. They have so much chemistry on screen and I loved that they praises each other during interviews and BTS. It really shows that they had fun working together. Hopefully he’ll get to work with another great actress.

That still picture confirms this was filmed right after Come and Hug Me lol. Bromance! Ma Dong Seok dwarfs him even though Jang is probably much taller lol.

I was thinking of the same thing too after seeing this new still of him for Bad Guys.  His hair is still short and he still look a bit slim.. so it’s definitely right after CAHM.

He really is indeed Park Mo Gun. Even in interviews Lim Soo Jung has mentioned it more than once that JKY is similar to PMG. Well.. D A M N.. no wonder he’s making girls fall head over heels for him. Even I feel for him. Lol

I think he's got FMs coming up. Meh...

For Bad Guys, I want him to be very very badass - like a combination of Gwang Il (My Ahjussi) and Soo Hyun (Kill It). He's too soft in CAHM and didn't really do much investigating work or have a lot of action scenes. AND, I want that poster of him!! Love his eyes there. I'm excited about Bad Guys - The Movie coz it had the "originals" i.e. Kim Sang Joon and Ma Dong Seok (and 2 more I read they will cameo) + Ki Yong (he said he was a fan) so it's kinda nostalgic for me plus Ki Yong.

True. In CAHM, he was a bit soft and yes I agreed with you. I would love to see him in a more rough/savage/dark role combination like My Mister and Kill It. Hopefully we’ll get to see him in that kind of action in the movie.
