What are some scholarships that do this? I'd like to really go to school for a summer in another country; I'm planning to go into Architecture... so I need more cultural experience.
-
I wish my parents were incredibly rich so I could go to Yonsei =p... Someone sponsor me hahaha!
-
Just curious; what does this say:
畂桳栠摩琠敨映捡獴
-
I'm Filipino and I live in the states. I'd like to get the chance to study in Korea so I can get more cultural experience for architecture. See how people live, see how the architecture there is and what-not =). Not sure if filipinos are accepted in korea or whatnot?
Uhh, just curious on how much it costs for like a quarter or a year.

wow o_O we haven't learned all those vocabs yet lol.
I know -> daigaku [college], kissaten [coffee shop], eiga , shigoto [work]. I'd like to use those if possible :s so my study partner doesn't have problems with different vocabulary heh.
-
Ohh hehe... i'm not sure what form. Sorry for my poor japanese.
It should go like this:
Me: "What college are you going to?"
Him: "I'm going to the University of Washington"
Me: "I'm going to the University of Washington too"
Him: "Where are you working?"
Me: "I'm working at starbucks coffee shop."
Him: "Starbucks is a good place."
Him: "Did you see xx movie?"
Me: "No, I didn't see it."
a: daigaku de nan desu ka?
b: university of washington daigaku desu.
a: watashi mo university of washington daigaku desu yo.
a: shigoto de doko ni arimasu ka?
b: starbucks kissaten arimasu.
b: starbucks kissaten ii desu.
b: xxx wa eiga o mimasu ka?
a: iie, mimasen.
Not sure >_< sorry. And as you see it's super choppy. Like there's really no flow to connect it. I wouldn't know where to put say like soredewa, tokorode, etc.
The original dialogue is this -->
A: B-san shibaraku desu. Ogenki desu ka?
B: Hai A-san okagesama de. A-san wa?
A: Hai watashi mo genki desu. B san ima isogashii desu ka?
B: Ima desu ka? Iie amari isogashiku arimasen ga...
A: Soredewa issho ni sono omise de shokuji o shimasen ka?
B: Ii desu nee! Soo shimashoo.
--> At the restaurant
A: Kono omise no tonkatsu wa totemo oishiin desu yo. Soreni amari takaku arimasen.
B: Soo desu ka. Watashi wa tonkatsu ga daisuku desu. Dakara sore o tabemasu. A-san wa?
A: Watashi mo tonkatsu o tabemasu. B-san nodo ga kawakimashita ka?
B: Ee kawakimashita. Biiro to mizu o nomimashoo ka?
A: Soo shimashoo. [to waitress] Sumisaen tonkatsu o futatsu to biiro to mizu o futatsu kudasai.
[insert above dialogue that i'm trying to translate into japanese]
A: Kyoo wa watashi ga gochisoo shimasu.
B: Iin desu ka?
A: Hai mochiron desu.
A: [to cashier] Ikura desu ka?
Cashier: roku sen go hyaku en desu.
A: Gochisoosama deshita.
B: A-san gochisoosama deshita. Totemo oshikatta desu.

So my friend and I are going to do a dialogue for class; I need to make my sentences sound smoother.
Like, I'll be asking him --> So, what college are you going to now? He'll reply. and I'll say, "Oh, I go there too." Then he'll ask me -> Where are you working? -> I'll reply -> He'll reply and say that's a great place to work -> Then he'll ask if I saw a movie -> I'll reply and etc.
I'm not sure how to make it connect more smoothly.
The sentences are easy but making them flow together is difficult.

oh my god >_<... my face has been ruined I think?
I'm not sure but I've been using bio oil and my face is starting to turn out really bad. I mean really bad. Like there are acne scars forming... that weren't there before... I mean weren't there.
I'm super scared... I don't want it to be permanent...

Wow, I like this product a lot!
Thanks Susie!
I recieved it yesterday and IMMEDIATELY noticed differences. I have a really REALLY oily skin type. I mean, you can see beads of oil start to form at my pores and my face gets super shiny.
But this, it kept my face really moisturized and my face didn't get oily. It didn't get shiny. And my skin immediately felt really soft. It kept my face really moisturized and had a "glow" to it.
I used to use oil of olay "active hydration cream." It was kind of expensive and it made my face really oily. I'm never using that again haha.

I have a problem. My face gets really oily; I mean really oily. Like here's a picture of me awhile ago.
See my face is really shiny but hers isn't. I hate that my face gets oily.

There's a show on the AZNTV Network; it's called Ivy Dreams, and one of the girls parents was like, "If you don't get into (forgot what college. I think it was Princeton?) ___ college. I'm sending you back to China!"
My parents were never like that but my mom disciplined me . She spanked me lol . I don't mind it but it did change me... not sure if it's for the better. But I don't do bad stuff or get in trouble. I know right from wrong and what-not. But I would say I'm pretty normal for the most part.
Like when I say spanked... I mean like taking a wooden spoon and breaking it on my butt hahaha or the "flying asian slipper" that goes around corners and hits you.

How do I get rid of the grid computing stuff?
-
Yeah but I really respect my mom and her life story. I don't mind it and it's good that I heard it .

Is My Girl showing on ABS-CBN? What time?!
I saw this --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrqVzl26O7E Lee Dong Wook on WoWoWeeeee!! SO AMAZING!

Also it really depends on their background.
My background, on my mothers side. School in the Philippines is pretty expensive. Kindergarten costs a lot of money, and so on. It's not free and it's very poor where my moms side of the family resides. I was lucky enough to be here in the United States.
None of my relatives, cousins and what-not on my mothers side has gone past sixth grade. So education was really stressed on me. I really don't think a lot of my cousins could spell their own name to be honest.
I am the first to go past sixth grade. The first to graduate high school. The first to touch college on my families side. Probably the first to make considerable amounts of money. My family on my moms side really relies on me living an incredibly wealthy life (probably like $125,000+ a year or something?) to support myself and a slew of cousins and relatives there.
Education is important in my eyes.
Most importantly... I *think* Asians are more patient and can focus better than other races.
-
Naturally, I'm not sure about that. There are obvious differences in how Asians think and act compared to other races.
Though, the counting system in most Asian countries goes by multiplication. 32, 3 * 10 + 2 so math is started off a little bit earlier. Not only this, but the abbicus (sp) is still widely used.
Some genes pass (obviously) and you pick traits from your mother or father or past ancestory.

Vietnam has really extravagant plays and what-not. With the silk and the head pieces. I saw a few and I was like wowowowow that's amazing!

I'm not sure is it me but does she really look like Kim Sun Ah from Kim Sam Soon in some pictures? LOL I was like woah when I saw some of the pictures!
-
Where did you download it? Thanks!

I agree taller girls don't look good skinny. A little more meat is good on taller girls... Shorter girls like under 5'4" look better with skinny arms.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtKzysisDQw I saw this on youtube and I was like WOW o_O! lol!
The language is kind of weird ... Since there's a lot of dialects :\. My counters are weird metung, adwa etc. lol. I don't know how isa changes to metung and other words =p.
But here's non-dialect stuff =)
-> Kailangan ko ng taksi. (be careful! Lol crazy drivers >_<)
-> Papunta ako sa ____. . (example: Papunta ako sa Angeles City.)
-> Nasaan ang ___. [Where is ___]. (example: Nasaan ang mall?)
-> Gusto kong ___. . There's a lot you can do with this.
--> Gusto kong pumunta sa Borocay. (pumanta = go to place)
--> Gusto kong kumain ng pananghalian. (kumain = eat)
___ ako. <-- I'm ___ . Other words that can go with this [American = Americano, Korean = koreano, Japan = Hapon].
