How would you respond to some of these:
私がかえしました。ーー＞ 私がかえしたえんぴつは好きです。 I borrowed a pencil that I liked.
大学でしらべました。ーー＞わたしあは大学でしらべたさんこうしょはもんだいです。I studied (shirabeta) the problem (mondai) from the reference book (sankousho) at college (daigaku).
あそこにいました。ーー＞あそこにいった犬はあkoen niそびました、Over there (asoko ni) the dog (inu) is playing (asobimashita) in the park (koen).
つかいませんでした。ーー＞学生たちがつかなかった本は
夏休みにはたらきました。ーー＞I didn't have a job at dokomo during summer vacation.
わたしは読みませんでした。ーー＞I didn't listen (yonda nakatta?) to the train station clerk (ekiin) say (hanasu/hanashita) the track number (nan bansen).
きみは持っていませんでした。ーー＞You didn't have the money (okane).

I'm trying to say this
Yesterday, I was able to speak to Neta in Japanese. I was able to use new words, vocabulary and sentence structure. It was really cool. But neta sensei got sick. She's getting better though.
Kinoo neta sensei ni nihongo o hansu no ga dekimashita. Atarashii sentence structure to vocabulary ??? Sugoi/subarashii nee? Kedo/Demo ( ? ), neta sensei wa kaze o hikimashita. ?? ii ?? (don't know how to do this last sentence).

I have a few questions.
I was looking at a few exercises in my Japanese book. Not sure how to do them or if I'm doing them right.
"Using the given Japanese, express the following ideas in Japanese:"
1. ヨーロシパへ行きます。
”Who is the one going to Europe next year?”
I wrote this:
らいねんはだれがヨーロシパへ行く一人ですか？
I'm not sure if it's right =( I'd like to check to see if my Japanese is correct. If someone could post how they would say it (formally？I guess?)
2. Let's go to the park where cherry blossoms are in bloom.
さくらがさいています。
3. It is interesting to see a Japanese movie.
日本のえいがを見ます。
4. I like walking up to the station.
駅まであるきます。
5. A person who does not eat sushi is Mr. Hayashi.
すしをたべません。
6. It is pleasant to learn German.
ドイツ語をならいます。

Spanish or Chinese... When I have long hair and I've stayed inside and stayed white lol... but when I cut my hair short and go outside (play tennis/jog) and tan I'm spanish looking =(.

We're doing a show and tell for Japanese on Tuesday =). If someone could help me with translating something it would be nice.
I haven't learned enough vocabulary to say this. I have an idea but it seems very broken lol.
This is traditional Filipino clothing, I like it very much. Government officials and other people wear this clothing. The weather in Philippines is very hot all year around so it is very nice to wear this.

I'm debating if I should join the college tennis team this year o_O. It starts this spring. The team looks weak and I might have to take #1-3 spot. Which would really suck and I don't want that
. I like being in #3,4,5 or 6. Somewhere, where I can win 50% of my matches haha.Anyone from Washington?
I'm thinking of being an assistant coach or coaching the girls tennis team instead hahaha... that's less stressful.

What's a good book dictionary to get?
I remember one I was reading... it was like "bahay" then it went on to go "bahay bahay" means someones house? I forget o_O. Then it was like rooting bahay with a bunch of stuff. The different ways you say bahay mean different things.

kamusta, lumipat _ america ko! [? i don't know lol...] ipinanganak _ san fernando, pampanga ko. ?

since the sentence structure of conversational tagalog is inverted, we will be constructing the sentence as predicate-subject rather than subject-prediate. we shall say it as 'Running is the dog' instead of 'The dog is running.'
TUMATAKBO YUNG ASO.
tumatakbo = present form of the root verb takbo meaning to run. (past is tumakbo, future is tatakbo)
yung = this is a noun marker. i guess it translates to THE, but shouldn't really be used at the start of sentences. well i guess you can, but since we're learning basic stuff let's not mind that yet~
aso = dog
to make it plural (3 or more i guess) just at mga (pron. as mang-a) before the noun.Using the same pattern, we can say "Sumasayaw si Boa" meaning Boa is dancing! XD (Sumasayaw, present tense of SAYAW - to dance) We used SI instead of YUNG, which is for a person's name.
So it's like how Japanese is set up?
>_<... I always get si, sa... I always interchange them for some reason not sure why...

I AGREE! I think we should change the phrase in the first page to 'Nasaan ang CR?' (or I'd personally say 'Saan ho yung CR?' to be polite) Kubeta doesn't sound as pleasant. Btw CR meaning comfort room.
Using English in conversing is really unavoidable, and better than saying something in Tagalog but using sophisticated, old-style vocabulary. I think it's perfectly fine to say something in Taglish, as long as it's not the annoying kind which corrupts the language. Yes, it's the MAKE + TAGALOG VERB I'm talking about.
I found this in Wikipedia and thought of sharing it here. Here are some Tagalog loan words, basically vocabulary that we use and their roots. TAGALOG LOAN WORDS.

I remember saying anong panalan mo for what's your name o_O... I've been pronouncing it wrong for so long haha
! My grammar is not so hot though... I'll add words like, "mo" "ang" "ng" "sa" because it sounds nice LOL! Like I was telling my friend during tennis... "Sara ang uloo sa name_here mo" no clue if it's grammatically correct or even if I used the right stuff lol. -
So the verb usually comes before the noun; but the connectors between both... could someone explain a little bit? Like using the, and, or, like etc.
I always get them mixed up... some sound better =p but are completely wrong.
ano ang ginagawa mo? = what are you doing? Doesn't ang mean the or similar to "the" or something... >_< *confused*

finally! ahaha i've been meaning to learn tagalog for the longest time. mi parents never bothered to teach me and whenever i ask them to.. they say ok.. and then kinda leave it.. XD
Same here. Well, my mother didn't want to teach me it because she wanted to learn how to speak English. So I only picked up on it but never used it in conversation deeply.

What are some good sites/books that deal with grammar? I always put ang, ng, ako etc. other word connectors/sentence connectors in the wrong place :\. I know some words [my aunt made me read a dictionary over the summer] but it didn't help me much other than know words =p.

Haha, I finally figured out the sentence structure
!
あそこにいました。(over there existing) ーー＞あそこにいったいぬ。(a dog is over there) －－＞あそこのいったいぬはとてもきたないです。(a dog over there is dirty)－－＞あなたはあそこにいったいぬをきたないです(a dog over there that is yours is dirty)。
Start off with basic sentence structure, add noun since sentence modifies it? Then from there expand it/add more detail.
