I never get to be here on time for all the fun. When the BTS and stills are out, it's 4 in the morning. Finally, we have a new BTS and it's really too cute. I love the interactions, teasing and smiles between our awesome four and the crew on site. I know tvN are probably very busy with the schedule but it'll be great if they release more BTS. I can't wait for today episode and new songs, too. I willing to accept the sadness as long as there will be happy ending for our couples.

I don't know yet. The article didn't say what it the song. It only mentioned that the 9th part of the OST already recorded and it is a ballad that fits to Ailee style.

I hope there will be more details soon or even better, a MV teaser. CJENMMUSIC should release more official music videos... the soundtrack is amazing but so far we have only 2 music videos.

We didn't see any JET-KS scenes, I hope we will get to see them more the preview suggests and there will be funny scenes too.

The preview looks sad and it worries me. Can't wait to see the brother and sister and Sunny-GR interactions.

About JET reincarnation... was she really reincarnated? I guess she was because all characters are connected to each other from the past. In that case, who was she? At first, I thought she could be the warrior who killed Kim Shin. That warrior was very loyal to Kim Shin and he didn't want to kill the commander he admired. But he had no choice but to stab him with the sword. So it will become a closure to his character and a twist of fate if JET as his reincarnation pulls out the sword. We've learned from the drama that it's not restricted to gender.

But as time passes, I started to think she could be someone we haven't met yet. For example, a lady servant of low birth who was secretly in love with Kim Shin and never confessed her feelings because it wasn't common at that time. Then why he didn't notice her? Well, that's because he was too busy protecting the king and fighting in wars. When they met again, the circumstances were different and they fell in love because they share a bond that transcends centuries. And it's their destiny, after all. I know both guesses are not very plausible but I like to have fun with the ideas.

I enjoy the fun parts of this drama very much but for me this drama wouldn't be the same without the melancholy aura surrounding Kim Shin life. It's actually one of my favorite aspects of the show, I also like the growth of his character the most. From a sad and lonely man who always led dark life, to a man who's learning how to love, smile and appreciate life. He does smile a lot lately, isn't he?

I found the scene in episode 8, right after the big save, to be very touching.

The first thing that touched my heart me was the way he was looking at her with so much love while putting her tenderly her on the bed. For a moment, I was sure he was going to innocently kiss her forehead, but he's too much a gentleman to even think of doing something like that to a girl who just went through a trauma. The last kiss they had proved that. He will never do anything inappropriate without the girl consent. After that, he waited for her to wake up to make sure she's okay. And when she woke up, she asked about him. She wasn't frightened, she didn't blame him and she didn't get angry. Instead, she was worried about him. She's showed maturity and kind heart. How can anybody not love her after that?

The following talk was even more painful. She was happy and excited about being the goblin bride without knowing it will turn him to ashes. He's aware of that, and tells her with teary eyes that he's glad. But inside he's hurting so badly because he realizes once the sword it taken out, he can't be with her anymore. He must to leave his first love behind. It's truly beautiful to see the mutual care for each other and their conversation which is a prefect example to Kim Eun Seok unique writing style. I can definitely feel her touch here.

I don't understand all the hate towards Kim Go Eun and I don't want to understand. It's not in our power to change it, anyway. She's young and talented, beautiful actress... that's what I see. I love her character, her acting and her pairing with Gong Yoo. Their chemistry is amazing! Period! Let's stop talking about it. It kills all the fun reading negative comments.

Here's a great scene in episode 10, which I really love! They are so cute!

I like how all the characters are connected to each other in one way or another and it lead to a certain path. What's in the path? Is it a happy or sad? I have no idea, only our writer knows. But the way I see it, it's pretty obvious she put great effort in the script, paying attention to small details that to us may seem irrelevant but in fact are most important hints that will lead to the final conclusion. So far, there hasn’t been a single character that was pointless or a scene that was boring or unnecessary. Everything is there for a reason, which will be revealed sooner or later. I've watched and liked ALL Kim Eun Sook dramas in the past, but Goblin is by far my favorite work of her. By the end, it could be one of my top dramas but it depends on the remaining episodes.

This scene was daebak! I like their cool walk with that serious look on their faces when they're only doing shopping! LOL!

 

And this... was totally hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing. They always get scared by stupid things when no human being can actually harm them.

The guy on the motorcycle: "Take the side walk!"
Goblin: "I think he wished us a blessed new year by advising that we take the side walk."
Grim Reaper: "Thank you for the blessing. I shall not harm you. Happy new year."
Goblin: "Because we are cool. Happy New Year!"

I love that writer and director added this message to the viewers. It's their way to wish us Happy New Year and they delivered it through Goblin and Grim Reaper.

I can't help but think there could be a hidden message at the parts I marked in yellow. How awesome it could be if the writer and director are telling us indirectly that they will not hurt us and give us a happy ending because they are cool. That could be really amazing! Yes, please be amazing all the way to the end.

I absolutely love the head patting. It's something that makes them so unique and their own way to say: "I care for you, I need you, I love you".

It's simple action yet it warm my heart so much. They are too sweet!

I have to say the last scene in the episode surprised me a lot. It's true I've guessed few episodes back that the Grim Reaper was the king but I wasn't expecting to actually see him in his previous life. The scene showed us his sad and lifeless eyes. He seems anguished and his expression filled with sorrow and regret. This couple love story ended with betrayal and tragedy because of jealousy. Although it's not likely, I wish they will be given a second chance to fix past mistakes and somehow it will lead to happy ending for them.

One of my favorite scenes from episode 9 was the save.
It was shot beautifully and the music in the background "Never Far Away" fit perfectly. I'm still waiting for the song to be released.

I love it that our hero goblin is always there to save his girl, no matter what, no matter how. He always put his love above everything else. He will risk everything including his identity and his life because that's the kind of a man he is. What I find intriguing about this scene is the lights that went off all of a sudden. It does look like that God a.k.a Butterfly intervened to let him know that Eun Tak is in danger and our Goblin is smart enough to understand it is a sign. My guess is that the butterfly was there and even led him to her. The whole save was really manly and calm. He used his powers to open the door, covered her with his coat, picked her gently and carried her out. He acted more on his experience and rationality, less with his emotions. But in last seconds, he gave her that tender look and you could see how much he cares and how worried he is. I was deeply moved right there, at that amazing moment.

Yes, I was happy and sad during this scene. If memories will be erased, they won't be able to remember and I believe their faces will be erased from the picture as well, so there will be no traces left of this happy moment.  Please, our dear writer, don't erase their memories together.

Wow, this episode has breathtaking cinematography. I didn't want to miss any second with our OTP. My eyes were fixed on them solely, it was painfully beautiful. When he picked her up with so much care and when he back-hugged her with so much love, my heart was beating like crazy. When they looked at each other with so much sadness and longing, I felt my heart was going to explode. Nothing can top that. Today, they've made it clear how much chemistry they have.

About the kiss, that kiss we were all waiting for. I even thought it was going to happen several times today but it didn't. Please, don't kill me about what I'm going to say now. I actually love the fact they didn't kiss when we were expecting it. Firstly, because it shows their relationship in not based on human desires but it is much more deeper than that. Secondly, I like it that the story is building slowly, because it means that the more we expect it, the more we want it to happen, when it really happens... we will love it a lot more.
