^Is video important to you? Keep mind the 50mm f1.8 is a very restrictive lens on a crop sensor camera. You'd find it hard to take group shots of things unless you move back a lot. I think I'd rather have the safety of warranty just in case anything goes wrong, especially when your friend is still making you pay quite a bit for it.

Can someone explain something to me?
So, the Chairman decided to give his fortune to the princess because he feels guilty and responsible for the death of her father and the situation he was living in (with his son being the way he was and all). I get that. But why does that mean that HY will be left peniless? Doesn't he have a job? Didn't he earn some money for himself in the past, oh I don't know, 10 years? And doesn't he deserve to keep his apartment at least, even without working for the princess? Talk about pushing things so they can be used as major key points in the drama. But it kind of kills it, when you know it's pointless and pushed to the limit.
Yeh I wonder about these things too. But it's Kdrama land, the place where poor girls have designer clothes and handbags and the latest cellphones. Where poor girls suddenly have inheritances and there's a nice grandma/grandpa who becomes their champion haha. The plot really isn't the selling point of most Kdramas.

omo, omo, i didn't notice this angle. when i saw the scene, i thought that lady was grateful for her probably because YJ helped her with her daughter. this is interesting, hehehe.
edit: i don't understand HY's "come back to me". was it supposed to be a love confession? or did he just mean that they can resume being friends and being close after she gives up her place in the monarchy? i'm leaning toward the second because it's quite inconsistent declaring his love and marrying YJ... aigoo, it's going to be a long wait.
LOL I love the baby angle. I would find it so hilarious to watch if that actually happened. Hope the show goes back to being cute since I'm hearing a lot of "ep 8 was so angsty" comments. I want to see some more Mishil.

Hey yes I have! I enjoyed it, I really liked her personal photos, especially the ones of her sister. The Leonardo DiCaprio one is pretty good too. I had friends who loved the Trump photo but I just found it so obnoxious.
Check it out if you haven't! It's going until Feb or March I think. -
I'm so glad that Song Seung Hun decided to try a romantic comedy because the whole smirky-I'm-perfect thing actually fits him very well when he's so attractive. I think the only other vaguely funny thing I saw him in was He Was Cool which turned into a full blast melo later on. I'm also amazed at Kim Tae Hee because she really frightened me with those crazy eyes in Stairway to Heaven. Hopefully the plot doesn't go crazy on us coughmarycough because the first two eps have been a really promising start. Seol is absolutely adorable and I like how the male lead is actually nice - not some weirdo-alpha-male-freak.

^If that person has the money, definitely the tammy. 50mm is really tight on a crop sensor and the 17-50 is more versatile.
50mm is still good to use though, just not in as many situations. -
Re: Song Joong Ki thing, I think it's nice to have a balance of different characters on the show. Not everyone is crazy hilarious obviously and it would be way too competitive with people trying to be funny if it was like that I think. It's good to have a different mix. Joong Ki obviously isn't as funny as the rest of them but neither is he experienced in varieties or a comedian to begin with. Plus, the boy is nice eye candy so I'm appreciating his role haha.

The Galaxy S models (international) have received their froyo updates. I can tell you know, that it's absolutely pimpin.
Flash support is probably the best upgrade, and probs swype on Korean keyboard =P.
I'm not sure about improvements in stock performance, I installed a lag fix as soon as I upgraded so I can't comment.
I just hope the Galaxy S line manages to be upgraded to 3.0 Honeycomb. I don't want to be abandoned in a 24 month contract...
Just upgraded to 2.2 to the other day (located in Australia) and I like the extra features, I haven't tried out the flash yet. I'm finding the keyboard changes handy but I don't like how my emoticon button is gone now.
I doubt they'll abandon us and leave the software like that since Samsung is pretty committed to Android and working with Google on their next phone I think. Didn't apply lag fix and in terms of lag, I feel it's only slightly better. Heard it's a lot better on 2.2.1 but no idea when they'll release it. -
^ I kinda like it probably because I like the square format of the photos more than the rectangle format. I have never used the vistaquest before so I can't compare. I just don't like having to hold it there for 3 seconds before it takes a picture. Is the vistaquest like that?
Yeh the vistaquest is similar in that you have to hold it for a bit before the photo is taken. I like the vignette effects on the vq more than the x:version. I'm considering selling it now...

Hey d0ts, how are you liking your x:version? I recently boguht one too but so far I haven't been as impressed with it as I was with the vq1015. I'm starting to wish I bought a new vq instead of the x:version.

^ how much more features does the full version have?
I have the demo and I like it. But I find it troublesome to change the effects because I can't see a preview.
The main thing for me is being able to take pictures at a higher resolution because I could only do something like 0.3 megapixels before. I've discovered that you can change the white balance, take macro pics etc. since I bought it too but I'm not sure if that's because of the full version or I just didn't notice it on the demo version before. Either way, it was still pretty cheap and jazzes up what would normally be lame mobile phone pics quite well.

My VQ1015 just came in the mail today, i was so excited to open it and finally use it!
BUT.... The moment i slot in the memory card, it shows "E53" on the screen, apparently my SD card is too huge for the camera? (4GB)
Anyone can confirm this? Quite saddened by the fact i still can't use the camera T_T.
Put in a 2GB SD card and it should work. 2GB is the maximum.

it's probably my favorite camera app...i like how you can tap the screen to take a picture because i have horrible aim for self cams when theres a specific button you need to press and the dedicated came button is a bit too close to the corner, so im scared of dropping my phone...which i've already done twice :xi can confirm that ringdroid can set custom audio to alarm or do you mean notification as alert? well ringdroid should work and its free in the market
Yeh I just bought it today. I love that about it too and the macro feature is pretty nifty too!

Does anyone use Vignette demo? It's a great camera app if you love toy camera and retro polaroid effects! Been using it like crazy on my Galaxy.
Wondering if I should bother rooting my phone since I don't know what I'd get out of it.

im thinking of doing commerce and international studies (asian studies/international business) next year if I get in (97 T_T) Is anyone doing them together and how is it?
I take Asian studies and you can just do that through a normal comm/arts degree if you don't get the marks for comm international studies. Comm/int'l studies appears like a glorified comm/arts degree except you probably have to do a year on exchange to graduate. You can take international business on any commerce or economics degree too.

If you just want to do arts for a language, you might want to consider other courses besides commerce/arts such as commerce/economic or commerce liberal studies. Those two double degrees allow for the study of a language and are four years long compared to comm/arts which is five years long. I know of a few friends in comm/arts who ended up transferring to those degrees because they didn't have anything else they wanted to do in arts.

^ I guess only the Rebels are small for my hands.. but I gotta applaud Nikon for designing a more comfortable grip even in their entry level DSLRs.
Canon needs to improve their marketing. I don't like they keep pushing the huge MPs in their cameras, also their flashes suck compared to Nikon in a way that they don't have a PC cord except for 580 EX II.
Yeh I've heard of guys complaining about the Rebel series because they're so small. Lucky I'm a girl with small hands. ^^

^I personally wouldn't go for Pentax based on the fact that it doesn't have as much support as Nikon/Canon cameras. It's up to you in the end, have a search about what the advantages of owning a Pentax so you know what you're getting into if you do decide to get it.
