It seems like we are seeing a runaway train. After the 6 days debut, the top rookies in the women’s groups, 2ne1 who is grabbing all the charts is literally. No one knew the curiosity for the girls like their debut song <Fire> would arouse. CL, park bom, park Sandra, gong minji, cause higher interests than ever. Topics in the center line will introduce them one by one. The 18 year old, the 2ne1 rapper CL does not act her age, but gives the feeling of maturity. Although there are unnies, she is put in the role of the leader. The YG yang hyunsuk told the audience: “you have to watch them closely.”, but it was not a special order. It was three years ago that she has knocked on the doors of YG. She made a demo and infront of the YG entertainment and waited for few days. She put the CD inside Yang hyunsuk’s hand and told him “you have to listen to this”, so she got to be known as the fearless singer. “I told you. With the confidence that came out of somewhere, and I said ‘you have to listen to this’ many times. I also threatened which were not threats about if you do not listen to this, ‘you will regret it’. When I reminiscence, I laugh thinking about where the confidence came from.” Inside the CD was CL singing and dancing to Beyonce’s <Dangerous in Love>. Of course, he contacted the girl who said ‘please find my talent’. After one week, YG contacted CL and she got the message that he wanted to see her perform one more time, and that’s how it started. She was born into a tight disposition. ( ? ) Following her father, from the 2 years old to second grade, she spent her life in japan, and after living in france, she was naturally developed into variety of cultures. Including Japanese, she is fluent in English and French. She is very interested in fashion and art. She is currently into the study of lyrics and also composing. “When I don’t have practice, I go to dongdaemoon and study the current fashion. I like unique things (clothes). I also wear clothes that I remake. (Sandra park who is next to me said while hitting me, ‘let’s tell everyone it can even be used on the cover of the next album‘) It is still embarrassing even to sing.” Her dream is that she will stand on a 2ne1 performing stage. “I have the most greed of showing everyone what our true colors are. I want our own concert soon. We can even show our own talents in the concert. I hope that day will come soon.”

i have still never seen the girls in any sort of interview or anything that'll showcase wut kind of person they are &wut kind of personality they have. Dont get me wrong i already love the girls but am i the only one that finds the one performance ¬hing else a week thing a bit too much? I kno YG is trying to make their debut diff. but for me, when it comes to groups the way i get really attached & "obsessed" wid them is seeing them on variety shows acting silly &showing their personalities...i cant even pick my favorite member yet:[ lol
i just hope this is temporary &we'll see them a lot more often in the future
until then...2ne1 fighting!
Don't worry, they're just starting out. Going on Radio shows and other variety shows is inveitable to be recognized and be promoted. They'll be out there eventually if they don't want to be left behind (but if they become immensely popular without relying on show appearances.. that would be an amazing feat <3 )
I have a lot of faith they'll get their "hit song" (like Big Bang's Lies, Wonder Girl's Tell Me, SNSD's Gee) and from there they'll get lots of demand that even YG cannot "control" (: but that's me being optimistic XD

The group that is known as the 'hottest rookies' in the music world today, 2NE1 has had the debut stage. But, even though though the girls have been the biggest interest in music fans, there also has been hurtful comments and rumours surrounding them from their team name to their popularity even before their official debut.
2NE1 members have had an interview with 'My Daily' and have spoken up to the rumours that have been going around the internet. Even though these rumours are hurtful, the members answered 'cooly' without hesitation.
Giving a rookie group a 6 minute debut stage, surprising to everyone.
2NE1's first stage was on the 17th at SBS 'Inkigayo'. That day, 2NE1 debut was a 6 minute long stage disregarding the fact that they were rookies. Usually debut stages of rookies are usually 2-3 minutes long. This caught the eyes of netizens because of the differential treatment they got from other groups.
CL said "When i first heard that we had a 6 minute stage, I was thinking that we needed to try harder. Even though we hear bad things, that time of our stage had been given to us, and thought we should try harder because we got such a long time for our debut stage."
Sandara Park, scandal because of the Philipines version of "We got married?"
Sandara Park who had return to Korea after doing activities on the Philipines, recently had a photo shown of her and a male model, which has been a huge interest between netizens. After this photo had been shown, it had spread into a scandal. A spokesperson from YGE said that this photo was taken when Sandara was starring in the Philipines version of 'We got married'
Sandara also explained. "In the Philiphines, there is something called 'Love team.' You can think of it as an upgraded version of 'We got married.'It is a program where the staff of the broadcasting centre put two people together to act like a real couple while doing activities. If that couple has a lot of popularity, they keep acting like a couple, but if they don't the couple changes." She had also put out there that it was hard for her as there were systems that she didn't really understand.
Sandara, sexy concept photoshoot, netizens get interested.
Just before their debut, Sandara's sexy concept photos got shown which caused embarrassment. These photoshoot happened back in the day when Sandara was working in the philiphines, for a male magazine. She was wearing a corset and bikni in a sexy atmosphere was was a shock.
At this, Sandara did not give an explanation. Instead she said "Because i was working in the Philipines a lot, these bad things have arisen (laughs)." Through this photoshoot, Sandara had shown a different side to her.
The name mix-up
'Female Big bang' which they had been called before debut, had originally meant to be called 21(To Anyone). But soon after it was known that there had been another singer with that name and YGE changed 21 to 2NE1. With the changing of the name, Boss Yang Hyun Suk said an officialy apology.
The members liked the name change. CL said "Because of our name change, i think we have gotten more interest. The meaning of the name is good and the style you write our name got prettier."

2NE1 going on SBS again, pre-recording with another special stage.The 4 member group, 2NE1 will be on SBS on the 24th for the second time. On the 17th, 2NE1 performed with their debut song “FIRE” having a special stage design.
Even though, Pre-recording isn’t rare amongst rookies SBS stated, for the coming performance they will provide another special design stage especially for 2NE1 because of the bad quality microphone that was used on the last performance.
2NE1’s senior, BIGBANG have even taught 2NE1 the techniques on how to use the microphone. YG himself have even changed the chorography of “FIRE”.
YG said "It looks like the public is giving much more attention to 2NE1 than the other new groups. And to repay such high expectation, the members are practicing non-stop. They strive to be a group who can give their best side in every performance even though they are still rookies."
On the previous SBS stage, 2NE1 were being praised and have broken the record of performing 6 minutes for a rookie group. In the 6 minutes, they have even used the “Body Mount Camera” that has never been used before. This clearly shows how 2NE1 is gaining a lot of attention.
For their second stage, 2NE1 will be wearing a full black outfit and colourful accessories, to express 2NE1's powerful side to the audience.

Shaun and Aimee are dancers from the US. Shaun has done choreography for Big Bang and Aimee has danced for them; Aimee is Shaun's GF. They're both also in a group called GEN2. They've done stuff for Big Bang before and are now back to work with 2NE1 ^^ You also see Aimee in 2NE1's making vid (the part where she's showing Minji how to pump her chest).

Right now "City Hall" (a drama) is airing. Once it's done then Inkigayo will start but 2NE1 won't perform until towards the end since they probably want to increase the hype. That's just my guess though.Shaun was orignially hired to be Big Bang's choreographer (YG Ent. sometimes hires foreign choreographers). Then somewhere along he line (I think during the prep for BB's "Number 1" MV) Aimee was brought to Korea. So now both Shaun and Aimee are helping out 2NE1. Shaun's the main choreographer and Aimee helps with things.
According to the people I'm chatting with....there is a drama going on with two guys...City Hall or something??Let's all refrain from spamming. Please do not use this thread as a chatbox.

THE SF CONCERT WAS EPIK. well to be honest kero one kind of bored the crowd in the beginning, but epik high was john teshing amazing.

but he performed like for an hour and honestly for a sec i thought i went to the wrong venue or something LOL -_ - i was like where's epik high!? DD: xDWe were late for the concert ;[ so we completely missed FM and no concert goods T_T grrr.......
the concert was fun thoughh^^ everyone was so hyped

They used to be 21 (ToAnyone) but then YG changed it to 21 (2NE1) because another K-artist was already named 21/ToAnyone. ToAnyone --> 2NE1; same pronounciation. I think NE is aposed to stand for New Evolution because the girls are aposed to be the New Evolution for the 21st century. ^^;

If she is guested in FO (which I find kind of doubtful because 2NE1 = rookies that haven't even debuted on stage yet), then I think that would be interesting..and maybe it'd help bring her out of her reserved shell more. I renember when YoungBae didn't have that many fans when BB first debuted (even though he was known longer than the other members aside from GD) because he was so reserved and shy. I have a feeling that might happen to Park Bom - that is, until she becomes less reserved ^^ and I think she sorta needs work on her performance..cause she doesn't really have much stage presence.. too stiff >,<
Hey!I just REMEMBERED! Didn't Bomi record songs FOR her supposed debut in 2007 OR 2006? I remembered reading once that a few years back, JYP and YG were chatting together over lunch and YG joked,"Hyung,Bomi's going to debut..make her a song." And JYP did and YG was so happy that it was free(I lol-ed when I read that part).Apparently her debut song was a ballad (RNB most probably) called Scarecrow. And there was this pretty picture of her with a recording mic thing.I'm just wondering... do you think YG would add that song into their album?I was like waiting for for like:

Yeah! I renember that, and keep wondering about that too. In 2007 they said she already had songs recorded, and was to debut that year (solo).. so it makes me wonder if they're just gonna shelf her songs, or put it in their album.. ^^ (which isn't unheard of since BB had some of their own solo songs too). I hope they don't shelf it..or maybe they'll put it in one of those special-gifts-to-the-fans packages/days ..sometime in the future ;D They probably won't put it in the album though because it's been 2 years since her initial solo preparation..music has changed, and 2NE1 is going for a totally different concept from the norm.

if her korean age was 19 at the time (dec 07) like the video says...then she was 18 in american age. but that would make her 20 yrs old now (american age) i.e. born in 1989
so many sources saying different things...but i personally still think it's 1990 for those confused - with korean ages, you take off either 1 or 2 years, depending on whether or not your birthday has passed...since that video was taken in december, it was already waay past her bday
The official site says she's 1991. Either she really is a 1991er or it's YG people's mistake. My best guess is that she's 1990 and it was a mistake on the profile. If you follow ALL of the information that has been said about CL dating back to early 2007 (yes she was mentioned in early 2007 before she was known as CL, the girl from Hot Issue & SBS Gayo awards). Or it might have been late 2006..but yeah if you piece it all - it all points to her age being 1990. And most resources said her birthday was 1990 before the official profile came out. But who knows maybe she IS 1991 since her bday is really early in the year (February) and thus the possibility of the ages in the YT vids xD.

IMO, Whatever fans DO know, I think it would be more courteous if you kept it to yourself and didn't flaunt it cause it's kinda mean and unfair to the other fans who are still guessing about the "HIM" (or whatever else).
I know some of you really want to know who the him is, we actually have some exclusive info at YGS21 (if you're a member there) if you want to read it. Just please, if you read about it, respect the people who gave the exclusive info and not post it outside of YGS21. I thought her name was 박봄이 [Pak Bom Yi/Lee] ... like her full name was 봄이 [bom-yi]. I forgot where I read that, so I dunno if it's right ._.;
Like Anjai said, fans call her Bomi as well ^^ you might have seen that on TYGS's profile.. I thought her full name was Park Bomi(박봄이) and her stagename was just Park Bom (with the 이 dropped). But in their newest naver profile, it credits her just as Park Bom ^^; So maybe Bomi isn't her fullname and just a nickname her fans refer to her as ^^

No, Bom's last name is not Lee
Her name is just like Sun Mi's (no 3 syllables). Park is her last name ^^ (there is no lee in any part of her name XD)If you search Lee Park Bom on Naver/Daum, you will not find her at all. I made the mistake of thinking she was Lee too..but yeah haha. I don't know who created that one profile with the berklee college and stuff on wiki, but people have been given wrong info (on the last name) and that profile has been distributed over and over with wrong info for a long time D:

i feel bad too cause this guy will for sure be overruled by the girls if they use the same name : / confusing. i hope yg can sort everything out.
